Cute spot for brunch! We came during the evening on a weekend and there was one other table dining in. It was also drizzling a bit, which might have affected the turn out of guests. Got the spinach and cheese quiche with came some fresh fruits. Absolutely delicious! The spinach and cheese which was amazing. It was soft and layered well. You could taste both the spinach and cheese. The fruits were also delicious! I also got the cracking chocolate matcha latte. Cute experience! I think it would've been nice if it melted in the cup as well, but it just cracks and then you have to pick out the chocolate pieces from the cup if you want to eat it, else it kinda just sits there as full size chocolate pieces. The chocolate itself was also very mid. Not something I'd even buy in a grocery store. I've seen Buddies Bakery pop up on my feed so many times, but never actually knew where it was... until I randomly ended up in the same plaza one day (perfect timing because I was definitely in the mood for coffee ). First impression? Super cute, clean, and inviting. The staff was warm and welcoming right away, which always makes a difference. I ordered a pistachio latte--SO good. Smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Then I grabbed a chocolate croissant and an almond croissant... and let me tell you, these are not your average croissants. They're HUGE, flaky, buttery, and you can taste every single layer. If I had to choose, the almond croissant stole the show for me. 10/10. When I mentioned it was my first time, they sweetly gifted me an alfajor, which was such a nice touch and definitely earned extra points in my book. I also tried the banana bread, and this is the only area where it fell a little short for me--it needed a bit more flavor and moisture. Not terrible, just not on the same level as everything else. From the moment I walked in I was greeted (by the amazing Mocha) with a full welcoming smile and warmth. Then the pastry case. Wow! I immediately wanted one of everything (but I had to contain my excitement and pick just a few items). The Chai and the Cappuccino... smooth, strong, creamy, frothy, and just the right temperature. The ham, egg, and croissant sandwich... a pleasure. Eggs were fluffy and creamy, ham was the right amount of flavorful and the croissant held it all together, crispy, soft and buttery. $20 grand total for a med iced latte w vanilla & a pistachio croissant is outrageous!! While the croissant was buttery & flakey, it did not constitute $9.99 price tag, especially considering the size was like any other croissant. I don't like too much sweetness & decadence in food, as the pistachio drizzle on top was just that. If they went alil lighter on the drizzle, would have been better. The place is small so on a Saturday morning when we went, it was packed. Luckily there are 3 tables outside so we sat outside. It got really loud inside as well as there is some sort of echo, especially with the tables all being against the wall. When, I think he is the owner?, brought out our food, he assumed I got the sandwich w chips vs just croissant instead of asking before about putting it down in front of me (just because I'm heavier than my friend doesn't mean I eat more -_-) I would recommend Buddie's for those that do have a sweet tooth and want to try something different. I love supporting local businesses especially when I travel or go back to where I used to live. I found Buddies while I was visiting my mom. I decided to get a bunch of things because everything looked so good. I had an iced strawberry matcha. It came with whipped cream which I actually would have preferred it didn't. It was very sweet but I liked that they used real strawberries in it at least. 3/5 Also had a pistachio croissant. Again, the icing and filling were really sweet but I loved the flavor overall. However, it was $10, and I just think that's way too much for a croissant. 3/5 Banana bread was delicious and filling. 4/5 My mom had the alfajor I left behind but she said it tasted chemically and actually brought it back. 1/5 Honestly the best thing I had there was by far the empanadas. Some of the best empanadas I've ever tasted. I had the chicken, spinach & cheese, and guava & cheese. Such good flavors. The chicken was moist and seasoned to perfection. The crusts were nice and firm. Guava and cheese was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. 5/5 The women working there were also super nice. Ambiance was pleasant. We stopped in after getting off our cruise for some breakfast. This place is so clean and cozy! They have wonderful atmosphere and very kinda attentive family style staff. All the food we had was delicious, the bathroom was clean, over all a very great experience. They have a huge selection of sweets and baked goods as well as a full brunch menu. What a gem I recently found in Cooper City! I've been twice now and I have really enjoyed stopping in Buddies Bakery both times! I love their pistachio latte and the presentation when you drink it in house is amazing! Staff is friendly and helpful with their recommendations! They offer a pretty big menu with breakfast, lunch, and sweets/pastries. Food wise I have enjoyed the omelette empanada which was the perfect afternoon snack to go with my pick me up coffee and I tried the breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel most recently for breakfast. The bagel was loaded with eggs, cheese, bacon, and cream cheese ! It was a huge sandwich and very filling. I also brought my husband home a ham, egg, and cheese croissant which was also huge and delicious. I was able to redeem a free small caramel macchiato for checking in :)! Quick service and you get a little discount for paying with cash. It will take a lot of restraint for me to not go here everyday for a delicious specialty latte. Wonderful bakery in the heart of Cooper City. This location opened three years ago and have been here several times for Expresso Coffee for $3.99. This time I skipped the coffee and went right for the Beef Empanada for $4.99 and it was fresh and hot - great tasting and added some hot spice sauce. They have a large menu for such a small bakery. Smoothies, Coffee, Empanadas, Alfajores, huge Sandwiches and complete breakfasts including a healthy food option menu. The staff was very kind and explained all the items. On walking in, we noticed the decor was very nice and it was very chill atmosphere. You walk up to the counter to order, so no table service. I ordered a matcha latte with coconut syrup, pistachio croissant, and a Spanish empanada. Honestly all of it was very underwhelming. The dough in the empanada was extremely dry, with very little filling. The matcha latte had a minimal matcha flavor. And the croissant was good but so outrageously messy. While I was very eager to come, and I truly hope it was just a "bad day," I usually try multiple items in order to get a feel for the quality and just wasn't impressed. read more

Came back to get a quick caffeine boost and glad I did. Everyone was welcoming and they remembered us from the celebration which was nice. Because we went during normal hours, they had tables out and music in the background not too loud and some people inside other outside. The chai latte was really good. Buddies is in a little plaza with a ton of parking and the interior is clean with lots of space. The staff is incredibly kind and service is quick. I got a hot latte and a beef empanada. This was one of the best empanadas I've had in a while; it was so flavorful and came piping hot. The latte was also good and their more extravagant drinks also look delicious. The staff is so amazing and patient and walked me through my entire to go order. I got the chicken pesto with Bree sandwich and it was divine. My husband and son got breakfast sandwich's (one on a bagel and the other on a croissant) and they were so fresh and delish too! The service was great, everyone was so kind. They went out of their way to make the latte for me the way I wanted it, I was pretty specific. This spot is located in a busy Publix plaza. There's so many tasty options to choose from, for both food and drinks. They have breakfast items, lunch items, and delicious baked goods. It has a very cute, relaxing atmosphere. It's not very big inside, but it feels very welcoming. There's a few tables outside too. Price wise, I did feel it was a bit pricey for the area and for being a coffee shop/bakery. This place is so good. We came here for a light lunch. I ordered the beef and ham/cheese empanafas. They were served hot and flavorful. He ordered the ham and maybe cheese sandwich with chips. I tasted the sandwich and it was heavenly. The chips are kettle cooked and so good. The owner (I think) was there and was pleasant. The place is so clean. I like how it is decorated. The restaurant is very warm and cozy. They have a nice couch and several tables you can sit at inside or outside. My only issue was the cashier. She wasn't very friendly. He still left a nice tip for her. Later on, I asked her a question and she was quite snippy with me. Not sure why! We were both polite to her. Maybe she had a bad day but it was unpleasant. The workers are friendly, service is prompt, there's plenty of options to choose from, but most importantly it's kept very clean. This nifty bakery is a bit on the smaller side but they offer seating inside if you have no control like me & need to eat your treats as soon as you get them. The empanadas are out of this world! They offer 10 different kinds to choose from with all sorts of fillings ranging from basic ham & cheese to ones with pork, sausage or even egg. The outer crust of the empanadas are baked to perfection with a nice balance of firmness on the edges & a flaky shell as you get more towards the center. I wasn't the biggest fan of empanadas until I tried these but now I can't stop craving them. Their coffee is also really good. The espresso based drinks are brewed to order so you can taste the freshness in each cup. They don't go crazy with adding a bunch of extra stuff, which is something I really appreciate. The drinks are crafted to ensure the flavor of the beans really shine through & they typically tend to nail it. As with any coffee shop, the drinks don't taste exactly the same every time but they sure are consistent here. I always love supporting small, local businesses so I'm glad Buddie's is as close by as it is.
