Tuna sub is on point!! Hot Italian!! Roast Beef(fresh sliced and juicy!!!) anything.. it's alway fresh sliced and juicy!! You can't go wrong with anything .. this is that local mom and pop shop every local knows about and keeps coming back!! This place is always busy. Portion sizes are huge(a 12" is enough for 2 meals or one really hungry person!!) Staff is always super friendly and polite!! Management you can tell takes care of their staff.. they always seem happy to be at work! Oh and how it's still a normal price !! You pay more at the fast food place in same plaza and your meal will be 10x better than fast food! Ambiance is welcoming and homey.. nothing fancy but they will welcome you with open arms!! Ok. Went here a few times. The subs are good. The hype is real on that front. Fresh ingredients and honestly cheaper than a Publix or Jersey Mike's. I'm not a fan of their red wine vinegar though. Tuna salad is DELICIOUS. They need to keep that. IN true jersey fashion they sell that tuna a la cart if you don't want to pay for the sandwich. Turkey sandwich was good. Ham sandwich was good. You cannot go wrong with a sub from here. The first time I cam though was for the breakfast sandwiches. Being from Jersey, and hearing someone is cooking up "Pork Roll" egg and cheeses I got excited. They don't advertise a fresh cracked egg but lol come on. If you are from jersey you know that fresh cracked egg makes the sandwich. A freshly cracked egg does not look like that nor taste like that. Holy Molly Subs! Deli boys know what they're doing! I accidentally stumbled to this deli when my local coffee shop wasn't open. I parked in a nearby plaza to figure out where I'd do and Subs sounded perfect for lunch. I got the meatball parmigiana for myself and the loaded deli meat sub (number 2) for my husband. Both toasted to perfection. Man! The ingredients were fresh and so delicious. I really encourage you to stop by here if you're anywhere near Davie. The staff is friendly and patient. I also did like their potato salad. Just wouldn't be for anyone that doesn't enjoy a sweet relish style. read more

Out in Davie and stopped by for a couple subs. Haven't been in years, and this is a competitor to Laspadas and VS Deli subs (hoagies). The meat is cut fresh and appears to be Thurmans. The toppings also appear fresh and made as requested. Nice tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and some white diced onions too. Wife wanted sweet peppers also and quickly made to order. Bread is soft roll without seeds and offered in two sizes. We ordered what most call the Monster with Roast Beef, Turkey, and Ham. Employees were fine and quick to help. So the question remains, do they surpass the others. The Laspadas protein topping layer is hard to beat (especially more roast beef) but will cost several dollars more. (Who doesn't want more meat ??) V&S Deli uses hard roll and Boars Head meats. So each is a bit different. All are the best of the three, and your choice is valid. Wife chose Laspadas as number 1 and Deli Boys a very close 2. She did very much like this sandwich overall. read more

I wish I could say I loved it...but I didn't. The experience starts when your "greeted" by the person who takes your order. She seemed bored and annoyed. After she checked off what I wanted she moved to my husband's order. I ordered a 6 inch tuna with provolone and a bag of chips. The tuna tasted more like mayo than tuna and the provolone was just slapped on top of the tuna making it a little hard to eat. When my number was called my chips were missing. I asked for them and the person behind the counter looked at me like I was trying to get something for free. My extra pickles were missing and so was the vinegar. Thankfully that was on the table. My husband's chef salad was huge and came with a tiny salad dressing. It looked fresh but was mostly lettuce and the peppers had stems on them. All in all it wasn't horrible but it wasn't the best. It's better than subway but not as good as laspadas. read more

7-14-22 12:30PM Running errands at lunchtime so I turn to Yelp to find a sandwich shop and I go and I find this place. It is the same plaza where I had my errand. Once inside there is a long line so gives me time to figure out what to get. I decide on the #2 Ham,Cappicola, and Provolone Cheese got it with lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar with sweet peppers and pepper. Also got a small potato salad to go with the sandwich. They have Coca Cola Fountain drinks so I got a Coke to go. Once ordered and paid for they give you a number. Mine was #77 in the meantime I got my drink before you know it order ready with fork already in the bag. For a quiet shopping center this place was busy. Your choices in this area are limited for fast either them or McDonald's but been there done that another day. So get back to my office first thing I taste the potato salad. It was disappointing the kind you get in the deli counter at a supermarket although it is edible. The sandwich compared to Laspada's is definitely not in the same league. The Provolone Picante Cheese might be better and more flavorful. The bread not memorable either. I love Mom and Pop's plus they are from my same county in NJ thus the extra star for a four star review. Will go back and will try something else in the future. My friends really talk about how much they like this place. Personally I think it's just okay and it will do in a pinch. My wife ordered first. She had a small tuna with extra pickles, or so she thought. Yeah it was tuna, but I'm guessing they don't really know what extra pickles means. At least it had pickles but no extra pickles. And this is what happens when they fill out a slip of paper with the options instead of building it in front of you so you can see what they are putting on it. The tuna now, she said it tasted more like mayonnaise then tuna. Now me, I had a chef's salad. It had plenty fresh of lettuce. It was a little bit light on the tomatoes and cucumbers, and the thing I asked for extra of, the onions, pickles, hot peppers and sweet peppers. Let's just say, NOT! Now my favorite part was the hot peppers with the stems still on them. It's a good thing I got a salad and not a sandwich, there's nothing like bitting in to a sandwich and getting a pepper with a stem. That's something you get when you order a sub from Subway or Publix. Also one tiny little container of salad dressing is a joke for a large salad. Worst of all was the coleslaw, yuck. I HATE COLESLAW!!! They could of said or posted it on the menu that it comes with coleslaw. I would have rather had potato salad, even if it was an extra charge. At least give me the choice. Personally I would have rather gone to Laspadas. At least the cashier doesn't fill out some silly paper with the options on it. They build it in front of you so you get to decide what they are putting on it and how much goes on the sandwich. read more

Craving a great hero, hoagie, sub, grinder or whatever you like to call it, this is the place. This place is old school. Hand sliced and built the moment you order it. Long list of toppings including iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion, olives, pickle, banana pepper, sweet peppers and hot pepper relish. The bread was fresh, the deli mustard was exceptional, as was the quality of the meats. You aren't going to get a sandwich like this at a chain restaurant. This was my first time eating here and I didn't have a great experience. The place was virtually empty but I didn't mind. It seems of more like a take out restaurant anyway. I ordered the turkey and ham, my kids ordered the turkey and cheese and my wife ordered the meatball sub. The subs were made fairly quickly and they were accommodating with the toppings and the bread options. The prices are competitive with other sub places. The staff was friendly. However, the reasons why I rated them with two stars is that the food was average. They also forgot to make the meatball sub. I didn't check the bag and I got all the way home and realized the sub wasn't in there. I called them and they said it would be ready when I retuned. It was ready when I went back. But I would have liked a little more for the trouble that I had to endure. Maybe a free dessert or a bag of chips or a free drink would have been nice. They just gave me the sub and said, "Sorry." And that was it. I don't know if I would go back here. Their subs aren't spectacular and I feel other places are better. read more

Deli Boy Subs is right down the road from me. So the first time we went there it was out of convenience. Boy were we lucky we did! It's on the smaller side with a few tables inside and a couple outside. It's always clean and fresh smelling. They are obeying all Covid19 protocol and the staff is happy, knowledgeable and kind. Always greeted with a smile and hello. You walk up to the counter to order your sub, salad or whatever (they serve breakfast now) they even have Taylor Ham which made my husband very happy. I ordered egg salad. The sub rolls they use are absolutely amazing! All ingredients are fresh and they don't skimp on anything. My egg salad was amazingly flavorful I ate the whole half sub! Lol They also have chips and the like. You fill your own soda from a machine near the tables. I happily recommend Deli Boys. Check them out if you haven't already. So I read a recent review of Deli Boys,less than three weeks ago by Blue A, and found myself in the area the very next day so I decided to give them a try. What I found, to my surprise, was a true Jersey sub shop! It's located in a plaza on the corner of hiatus rd and state road 84. It's a large plaza so there is ample parking. They have two covered tables outside and a few booths and tables inside. On the walls you will find some cool old school family pics from their original sub shop in Matawan, NJ. On my first visit, I've been there three times in less then three weeks, I had the opportunity to meet and chat with Tom the owner who's a really nice guy. The staff is friendly and efficient. The place is very clean, well kept, has a great menu selection and great prices. Everything is sliced to order and made fresh. The toppings used are also crisp and fresh. They use Thumanns and Fiorucci cold cuts and an awesome tasting bread from Cusanos bakery. I've had their tuna and their ham, salami and provolone and both were slamming! A true taste of home for this girl! I'm glad I finally found you! I've already alerted the troops, my family and friends, lol. Looking forward to many more visits. read more

3.5 stars but I guarantee I raise it when I try a sandwhich that I order less boring. This was recommended to me by a guy a work, who's very picky about what he eats, what he pays for what he eats, and the service he receives. I've easily have eaten 100x the subs he has, and that's without exaggeration. I'm glad he found a joint he calls the best, and I'm glad I tried it. I will be back, only I'll order differently. As hinted, I did order boring this time and that's what I received. It was A-OK. I ordered a small tuna sub with cheese, and a small turkey sub with lettuce tomato and cheese. Extremely boring order, and I received it as ordered. If you ask for red and blue and get mad when you receive purple. I'm not bad, I just haven't had the full experience yet. The best way I can describe the appearance, is sad. No meat was visible from the top, ends or sides. All you could see is bread and cheese. Yeah both sandwiches weren't complex but they looked identical from the outside - bread and cheese only. The bread isn't what I'm used to but it was pretty good, but the texture was weird. It was definitely fresh, but sponge-like. The crust was a little tough / hard to cut, but the inside was decently soft. It's unfair to call it bad or super tough but overall almost chewy. The 1 word I wish I could call the interior of the bread is fluffy. Negative fluff involved in the bread. I'm happy with the price. I'm satisfied with the boring subs because I ordered them boring. Dissapointed by the bread. Also, the coworker made me fully expect awful service but they were actually pretty polite. I'll be back for sure and order a real sub I can review based on more than 3 ingredients. read more

I love a great sub and thanks to Cat R's recent review I think I might have found my favorite sub shop. The place was spotlessly clean and they're taking Covid 19 precautions very seriously, they even have napkins outside with a sign asking you to please open the door with a napkin as well as asking you to use the tea dispenser with a napkin. I ordered a half sub of their version of an Italian sub with capicola, salami,ham and provolone. Got it topped with lettuce, tomatoes, olive, sweet pepper and oil and vinegar. This was one of the best subs I've had in a long time! The bread was soft but still had a crunchy texture on the outside and the meat and cheese are cut to order. They also have Birch beer here which is so hard to find so I was really happy about that. My son had a similar sub minus the salami and we both agreed that we could have even shared a half sub and been full. Looking forward to going back! read more
