Rushed from the airport after landing only 25 min before this Cava location closed. I made it 5 min before they closed at 10:30 pm on a Wednesday, and yet the young associates treated me as if they'd just opened for the day. They filled my bowl with care, took their time when I was unsure about a particular item, and even whipped up some of the new Sour Cream Pita Chips from scratch, even though there were none readily available as they were prepping for close. Last and as always - the food was great! The only reason I can't include anything about ambience is because they were clearly prepping for close. To the entire staff who closed on 1/29/26, I hope your Area Mgr sees this and lets you know just how well of a job you did overall, and that I appreciated your service! read more

As loyal customers who eat here 3-4 times a week, I hate having to write this, but the service has become unbearable. The staff is consistently slow, disorganized, and visibly miserable. They move at a snail's pace even when the line is out the door. There's zero urgency or teamwork. Basic items are constantly out -- rice, salad dressings, ice, straws, forks, paper towels -- and nobody restocks until customers complain. Drink dispensers are often empty or swapped (sweet tea in the unsweet spot and vice versa). You now even have to ask for the free slice of pita bread that used to come with your bowl. The only bright spot is the gentleman who usually works the register. He's always friendly, professional, and courteous -- the complete opposite of everyone else. Some of the employees act like you owe them just for showing up to their job and clearly don't even want to be there. It seems to be the Gen Zs have no ambition to work. I own a coffee chain with 20 locations and run a winery, so I know what solid operations look like. This level of laziness and poor management is going to start costing you customers. You need to fix the staffing, training, and basic systems immediately read more

My fiancee has been wanting to try this place with me for the longest. We were in the area so I finally went to Cava with her to try for the first time. I was not impressed. The employees had no idea what was going on- how much food to put in the bowls, what ingredients went with what order, and definitely seem like they did not want to be there. None of them smile one time or looked happy, maybe they didn't realize it was an open kitchen setting and customers can observe everything that is going on, or just didn't care. I waited patiently because my fiancee seemed stoked that we were finally there. In my mind, I had to keep silencing my own voice asking why I was there, why did I have to pay money for this bad service, why I had to put up with this slowness. Then I silently hoped that their food was just that good. No. When my food came, every bite tasted of vinegar or pickled red onion. I couldn't finish half of my bowl and for any amount of money it was a waste. I also tried their seasonal teas and they all tasted horrible. I literally had to pick the lesser of the evils. This place offers indoor seating space. After we arrived, there seem to have been a group of people that came in, all wanting Cava bowls. This will be my first and last time and I will gladly give up my spot in line for someone else to have their food. I remember there being parking spaces in this plaza. No I won't recommend this place to anyone simply because I just did not enjoy it. I don't know what makes them stand out amongst their competitors. I also hate Chipotle and vowed to never go there again after getting food poisoning, but compared to this place, it seems like Chipotle sounds like lesser of the two evils. Just go somewhere else. Do NOT order door dash from this place. Every time is a disappointment. The bowls are never as full as if you go in the actual restaurant to place your order. Received order last night and was not shocked the bowls were once again 3/4 full. There was BARELY any rice. The amount of dressing in the small containers was a joke. They also did not send any pita, although our three bowl orders were supposed to include it. The bowls do taste fresh and good. Really enjoyed my first time at Cava on Saturday for lunch! I found many of the options interesting and decided with the harissa avocado bowl. The sauce that they put on this bowl was way too spicy for me so next time I'd opt to skip that but otherwise it was absolutely delicious. All the flavors together wow! Hummus chicken avocado picked onions. we also got the sour cream pita bread with tzatziki and they were a yummy add on. Staff was friendly and fast. I'll start by saying that CAVA's pita chips are one of the most satisfying bites they have to offer. ORDER THEM. Being that they are the only location in Broward County, expect long lines. They also have an app so I would recommend ordering in advance if you can. I believe that they are still working out the kinks. The front line needs to communicate better with the back of the house as they quickly run out of ingredients. With that being said, the staff were all very friendly, even with them being slammed. They were going as quick as humanly possible! The food was worth the hype for me. I ordered the steak and harissa bowl and got a double chicken pita for my husband. They absolutely pack these entrees to the brim! The flavors were incredible. The portion to price ratio is also spot on. I was able to get two full meals from just one entree for around $15. First time visiting a Cava. Someone suggested it and I decided to give it a shot. I went on a Wednesday evening. Walking in there was a long line so I assumed that meant the food was good. The place seemed pretty clean and the menu was on screen so while standing in line I was able to figure out what I wanted. I don't know much about mediterranean food so I asked a couple of questions once I got to the front. The servers were nice and patient with me. We dined in. The tables needed to be wiped down but no one was available so we took it upon ourselves to grab some napkins and wipe the table. Food was pretty good. I wish I took a picture. I'm really not sure what to expect. The place was booming with customers when I got there. I placed my order online ahead of time for pick up. I'm hoping for a good treat tonight. I had heard about this place from some coworkers and they said it was decent fast Greek food. So I am going to give it a try. I got the greens (romaine) plus grains (saffron basmati rice) bowl with steak and falafel. Hubby got the greens (romaine) plus grains (with saffron basmati rice) bowl with lamb meatballs, and steak. And I got the salad bowl with steak for my daughter. Lots of greens types, grains (basmati rice, brown rice, lentils), sauces, toppings, and dressings to choose from to customize the bowls to what you want. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. I am not a big bowls fan because ingredients are all commingled together on top of one another. The crazy feta is so good and the balsamic date vinegarette is a winner. I think I'll be back! I have been wanting to try CAVA for some time now. So I stopped in today to try a bowl. It was very flavorful which I enjoyed. But all together the texture was very mushy. Everything combined didn't taste too good to me. I'm really shocked that I didn't like it too much because I thought this would be my new favorite obsession for a while. The service was quick and easy. The restaurant was cleanly. They had really interesting flavors of juice such as cucumber mint lime and blue lavender. All together, it was not my thing. I have wanted to try Cava before they were in Florida and I am happy to that they are in Broward. I must have arrived at their peak time as the line was long and at the door. But it moved quickly. I knew what I wanted before I entered by creating custom bowl online, I am avoiding gluten and dairy. I got their harissa honey chicken. Although I was able to order but with some slow down with the staff for unknown reason, especially at the register. The price was fair for the portions and fresh options. So I was disappointed to see that there were no locations in south florida at the time that I looked. Fast forward to a few months ago I saw one was coming to plantation! This is truly a mixed review since there and highs and lows of this place. First and foremost; it is refreshing to have a place like this in Plantation and surrounding sunrise area. Bowl places were far and none ..when looking for healthy 'tasty options but they have finally filled this void. I'm a frequent visitor since to me it feels like the best 'home cook feel' option there is close by but recently all my pick up orders have been wrong..I understand if they are out of specific ingredients but it seems to be everytime so far. Honestly, it still tastes amazing so im not knocking the taste but the consistency needs to worked on. In terms of wait time, its definately improved from opening day but it truly depends on the time of day..i usually do my pick up around 11:30 a.m. and I'm in and out usually within 5 minutes but im ordering online as opposed to getting it there. I have tried quite a few bowls, Spicy lamb + Avocado, Harissa Avocado, Greek salad, and Chicken + Pita (which is now my repeat order). I usually get the Saffron Basmati and Tzatziki with every dish just because but again ive tried it the original way and its just as good. I have tried the shredded lamb on pita (which I ordered as a kids meal for my daughter and she loved it. They all were very good as is but I have substituted sauces after trying the original based on dietary preferences and it doesn't deter the taste. If you are trying to eat Keto, Paleo, or High protein this is the place I recommend in Plantation! read more

It is a build your own bowl/pita experience. The ingredients were fresh and put together in front of you. Service was fast, employees focused on moving the line. It is an industrial type restaurant setting so the noise level and hearing employees questions could be difficult. I really enjoyed Harissa Power Bowl, just enough spicy (i did leave out the fiery broccoli). It is a quick, healthy alternative fast food kind of place. I've been waiting so long for this place to open y'all just don't know. Me thinking I gave it enough time to die down from opening week. Decided to go on a Friday afternoon. I must say it was still very busy, but took me no longer than 25 minutes to get through the line. You would have thought we were at a theme park. When I made it to the front, I was appreciative that the girl let me try a few things because I had never been. I didn't feel rushed even though the line was long. But most importantly the food was a 10 out of 10 I do recommend. I did a build my own bowl and got the spicy lamb meatballs with the side of the hot harissa pita chips. We waited two weeks until after it had opened hoping the line would have gone down, but the line was still out the door. The line was moving fast though, so we ordered pretty fast. Customer service was not friendly at all. Not sure if they were overwhelmed with the amount of people or they simply didn't care but it was terrible service. They ran out of garlic dressing, no corn, and no pickled onions. Despite not having these items, the food was good and it was a lot! However, while we were there, the lemonade machine broke and there was lemonade everywhere. An employee told the manager about it and she came out yelling and was screaming at the employees as to why that happened. Overall, I'm sure the place has potential to get it together and it had only been two weeks since it opened, but the food was good and tasty. There's lot of seating inside and outside. Even though the line was long a lot of customers were taking the food to go. I will definitely give this restaurant another try in another month or two. read more

I've been waiting for this one--Plantation finally has a Cava, and I am so here for it! The arrival of Cava in SoFlo is exactly what we needed. It's fresh, flavorful, and totally worth the hype. Yes, the line was long (it's new, so no surprise there), but the wait was worth it. I always go for the spicy honey harissa chicken--chef's kiss--and it never disappoints. Now that it's close by, I'm excited to branch out and try the lamb or steak next time. One of my favorite things about Cava? You can load up on as many toppings as you want, and every ingredient tastes fresh and perfectly seasoned. The Schug and garlic sauce are my go-to combos, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the options. Cava is officially in my regular rotation now. It's still very busy, so I recommend ordering ahead on their app (because you can rewards like free bowls after collecting some points) and then waiting a few extra minutes before going over to pick it up. It is a hot commodity. And it's on a busy road, University Drive. It's also next to some great competitors. Besides their bowls, I really loved their side of Harissa Pita Chips. It was a little spicy but it wasn't as salty as their regular pita chips. I really liked their chocolate chip cookie also. Besides bowls they also do pita wraps, a handheld portable option. But for me it can get a little messy. I usually do a greens or a grains & greens bowl. The falafel, steak, and lamb meatballs are my go-to proteins. My favorite dip might have to be the eggplant. And my favorite sauce is a tie between the Skhug and the Balsamic Date Vinaigrette. read more

We've been to a cava and Texas and really enjoyed the visit. I knew this location opened not that long ago, but hadn't had an opportunity to stop in. It's pleasant inside but was very cold when we visited. Sitting outside was much more pleasant. The staff were patient as we decided what we wanted, and they were happy to answer our questions and let us try a few of the sauces to see what we liked. The only downside is that they were a little slow to start filling orders in the first position, because that person was doing a large part of the bowl themselves. Another person showed up on the line a little later and helped move it along. The options are great, especially if you're looking to keep it vegan. You can pick and choose things that suit you. The falafel were pretty good. Better than at several Mediterranean places we've been too recently. And the prices are fair, especially given the amount of food you get. read more

I can't believe I waited in line for about an hour to try Cava for the first time. Oddly enough, it was worth the wait. I ordered super-greens, grilled chicken, roasted corn, tomatoes/onions, broccoli, feta cheese and light garlic dressing. The flavors blended really well and the food was seasoned to perfection. Everything tasted fresh. If you are taking a bag to go, make sure to ask while ordering your food. The girl at checkout made me feel dumb for my bag request. Weird. Checked out the new Cava that just opened in Plantation. The line outside wasn't too bad--maybe about 8 people ahead of me--but it still took nearly 20 minutes just to get inside. Once you're in, there's another line before you even reach the counter. From entrance to placing my order, it was around a 30-minute wait total. So a total wait time of 50 min. The setup is similar to Chipotle, but unfortunately, the team working that day was super slow. They were also out of some key items, like feta cheese and harissa honey chicken--which was disappointing. I ordered a bowl with grilled chicken, basmati rice, corn, cucumbers, pickled onions, tzatziki, and hummus. I added the spicy pita chips on the side, though they weren't really that spicy. The food itself? Always solid--Cava rarely misses on flavor. The service? Needs improvement. Just Salad, located right next door, opened two weeks earlier and had a way more efficient system, with a full team greeting and writing down orders as soon as customers walked in. Would I come back? Great concept just like Bolay and Chipotle but Mediterranean version. Food was good and loved the pita chips. Supposed to be fast service but here is why I gave it a 3 stars. The service was really slow we waited 35 minutes in line. They ran out of meats and people had to wait in line more than they should've. The assembly line was not moving. They were waiting on chicken and steak to be cooked. The staff looked miserable and stressed. No smooth service here. Managers need to plan ahead and account for busy times and have a more organized team. This is the only Cava in the area and lots of customers willing to drive there as food is good. This was my first time trying Cava and I loved it! I visited on a Sunday evening and thankfully, it wasn't a crazy line. I did have to wait for the saffron ride because they were out when I got to the front but they were kind to notify me when it was ready. I got the harissa avocado bowl except I changed the greens and instead of super greens I got the splendid greens because I don't like raw kale. I also omitted the hot harissa vinaigrette because although I love spicy food I didn't want to be overwhelmed. The portions are a good amount especially if you get the pita chips (A MUST!!). There is ample seating indoors but it was pretty cold inside and also noisy so I sat outside and enjoyed my meal. I know there's a location coming to Aventura which is closer for me and I can't wait for that especially since I had a great first impression. read more

Cava lives up to the hype. This is my second visit but first time to the Plantation, FL location. The location is very convenient, plenty of free parking and the place is new so it's very nice. Let me start of by saying; this location they are very very busy so make sure to pack some patience and know what you want in advance to help the line move smoothly. The team there is doing a really good job moving things along but can only be efficient as people provide them their order/choices. The food is absolutely delicious! I did a "build my own" bowl and I added brown rice, spinach, original chicken, hummus, corn, Kalamata olives , tomato, cucumber. I Love the portion sizes and that everything has a delicious flavor. A MUST are this PITA CHIPS they are additional cost but OMG they are hands down incredible. I would have given Cava 5/5 but the chicken being so minced dropped them to a 4/5. That is my only friendly gripe with Cava (lol) I wish they were chunks or slices to get that nice chicken taste. The store is nice, and the tables were clean. The fountain and utensil area needs a little more attending to. That's just because there's so many people that it can get a bit messy. Also, the dining seating area indoors has a very very strange layout. I give that a 0/5! I do not know who approved that layout but it's not efficient or effective. They have benches along the window and tables across from it and the line forms right in the middle of the restaurant and you just have tons of people standing around in the way as you're trying to navigate to just dine in. What they should do is move the "dining area" to the middle and create a separation along the window and wall of the left side of the restaurant so people can form a clearer line and keep separate from those dinning in. Cava if you need an example go visit "Fresh Kitchen" also on University Drive near NSU so you can see their layout. In nutshell, food was very delicious and I look forward to eating there again. read more

They can accommodate from vegan to carnivore to anything in between. Loved the fact that you can select so many things and also the portion size. Plenty of spreads and sauces to make things interesting. Prices are reasonable. Drink selection was out of the usual. One of the things that might be a challenge here is the seating area...usually not enough on busy days. You can eat outside but it's usually quite hot in Florida, so you get the drift.
