Tucked away into a little plaza is this sandwich shop, I wanted something random and this is where I landed. Upon walking in I noticed it was order at the counter, no worries about this. One thing to note, I was not greeted at the door or counter. I was also not given a goodbye when leaving, again not a deal breaker. But I do appreciate a welcoming or a "what can I get started for you?". I placed my order and was given a number to wait to be called, wait time around 10-15 minutes. The dining room was dated, but had a sub shop aesthetic to it. Tables were very clean, business did not seem dirty at all! Now to the food: Mozzarella Sticks: Not crispy, not fresh, NO CHEESE PULL, a tad freezer burner and had a flavor of a dirty grill. I ate them all (big back). But these were by no means average, well below. The marinara was too chunky to dip into and was not fresh. ~ 6/10 Parmesan Chicken Cutlet Sandwich: Bread was tasty, toasted and fresh. Same marinara was used for the sandwich. Chicken was cooked well (tender), wish it was a little crispier though. The chicken could use a little more seasonings. The cheese was cheese, nothing bad about it. At the time of ordering I felt the price was high ~ $16 for the sub, but the portions match it. Good job here. Still a little freezer burned flavor in the sandwich. I'm willing to give them another shot with something a little more traditional of a sub shop! read more

Having stopped in to Mr M for lunch, I saw that on the weekends, they are now open until 2am ! Having this knowledge & traveling on I -95 South, I decided to give it a late night try. Surprised that they were doing a good amount of in-store & food delivery service pickup. The staff was & service was on their toes, knocking down orders. I asked if the grill was open, for a Hot Corned Beef, they said, Yes. Sandwich was plentiful & delicious. I stopped at Mr. M's for a quick bite a few days back after a nearby doctor's appointment (and realized I'd eaten here a few years back while otherwise in the area). This is a counter order sandwich spot, and from what I gather, an institution in the area for a quick bite. It follows the principles of form following function. You won't find fake grass walls or the type of neon sign for your picture on the gram. The vibe is blue collar, from folks like myself on errands, nearby workers or heck someone connecting with Fort Lauderdale Airport (about 10 minutes away). But what you will find is some damn good sandwiches! I ordered their bbq chicken sub, and it was prepared with a little bit of a wait. That means no deli slices from chain spots. The juicy and well sauced pulled chicken was well flavored and spread across the bread. Cheese slices, fresh greens and a decent helping of tomatoes round out my lunch in a fluffy just warm baguette. Had lengthy conversation with the manager I know. Know owner. Loyal, 45 year customer. Cleared air on why changes made me now think twice. New folks make sloppy, stingy sandwiches and don't follow directions AI SUCKS. Can't get them on phone to order and to AI they don't know regulars likes and dislikes for 45 years. You can't get anyone to answer on a slow Sunday evening AI won't out you through or they don't want to answer. AI doesn't have access to your order history and info so wasting more time. I'd hang up and go elsewhere. Can't say cut in half double wrap with that damn cheap leaky new toilet paper wrap. Can't have them cut and wrap in thirds. Can't say end to end meat and veggies and throw on some extra peppers. Wet paper makes bread wet and soggy and I'm less than 5 miles away when ordering. Sandwiches are no good within hours cause paper doesn't keep bread dry and you toss it and lose money. And I don't want my "MR M's WA" AND THEY DONT KNOW WTF THAT IS? And open sandwich and it's all falling off and out of the bread. Probably some new lazy hire. Sandwich was so thin - corned beef for 45 years only, and skimpie on veggies that it was only wet bread and again - into the garbage. This place used to be good. We used to eat here once a week. In the past year the service and quality has gone down hill. It went from getting a great sandwich every time to them getting our very uncomplicated order right 1 out of every 3 times. The slop we picked up today and the rude lady who insisted the sandwiches have always been like this has lost our weekly business.
