The food was mediocre, you can get a better tasting sub at wawa, wish I didn't spend my money on the sandwich could have enjoyed it at a happy hour or something...for a small sub and Arizona Iced Tea was $20, and the sandwich was mid. Service was normal, kinda just tell them I want so and so, food was made fast, just the taste and flavor missing. Miami grill has better philly cheese steak. I ate outside because the place smells inside doesn't smell bad, just like food, and it's slightly smokey, I didn't want it to stick on to my clothes. I have been going to this sub shop since I was around 8 years old and i have gotten the same thing everytime I go back home. While the prices have gotten a bit up there it's still worth it to me. My order is always a 12" chicken & broccoli on white bread with provolone cheese and honey mustard, salt & pepper, oil & vinegar. I'm telling you, it SLAPSSSS! Service is quick but for some reason you have to dang near SHOUT your order for them to hear you lol. Ambiance is uhhh nonexistent. It's really just a pick up your food type place and eat at home. This is one of my favorite sub shops. I haven't eaten here in awhile so my family and I came here for dinner. The sub shop is clean, they just need to wipe some of the tables and seats. The employees are really nice and they assist you with your order if needed. I chose the philly cheese steak with light lettuce, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. My husband had the same but he had tomatoes added to his sandwich and our son had the philly chicken with nothing else but the chicken and cheese. The bread was soft, the meat was seasoned well and it was great. We chose French fries which I should've selected potato chips. I prefer lays plain chips, but I went out of the box today. Although the food was not bad the service is HORRIBLE. First off I ordered online directly from their website and by the time I drove 15 mins away to the location I get an email saying my order is cancelled while I'm pulling in the parking lot. I get inside to figure out what's going on and they didn't even bother to acknowledge what I was telling them. So I sat there in line for 30 mins and the order taker was rude to me, made a comment saying "it's always black people" which made me feel low because I was voicing my complaint. When I asked her why there was ham and not turkey she started to yell and curse about how she didn't mess up, so I must have gave her the wrong order (mind you I don't eat pork and have never order ham anywhere). I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. Hubby warned me that they are pretty rude, and I noticed the reviews pointed that out as well. We were feeling adventurous yesterday after our fruitless shopping excursion, so we both felt bold enough to wander over to Philly Steak Sub Shop! We walked in and found a line to order. As we waited, I was watching the guy at the grill, and I could see he knew what he was doing. I admired his focus as he worked the meat and veggies. When it was time for the cheese on the meat, he surrounded the pile with a stream of water which created a nice steam that melted the cheese quickly. I ordered the mushroom steak and Hubby got the steak bomb. The flavor of the meat is fantastic. I only wish they had packed more into my 8in sub. They packed Hubby's pretty well, but mine not so much. I think I will order the foot long next time because the meat is that good. As for the rude staff, I had no complaints about the crew yesterday. They were on top of their game, and while not really friendly, they were very good to the customers making sure everyone got their sandwiches made right.
