Stopped here for lunch while working nearby. I had never been to a McAlister's, so I didn't know what to expect. To me, it's kind of like Panera on steroids. I saw there was something like a pick 2 combo, where you could choose 1/2 sandwich, salad, baked potato or cup of soup. I LOVE potatoes, so I was excited to try a half potato and there was a chicken berry salad that also looked great, so I got the half salad as well. My goodness. If these were half sizes, I can only imagine full sizes. I got the aforementioned chicken berry salad, but ended up saving it for lunch the next day because the half veggie potato was more than enough for lunch. I also added a lemonade that was delicious. As a side note, as long as you leave off the dressing, the salad held up fine in the fridge until the next day. Service was friendly and super fast. read more

I ordered a ham and cheese melt and southwest chicken salad. Each were half portions. I did not care for the salad. The tortilla strips were stale. I informed the manager and he had the guy in the kitchen throw out the rest. I thought that was good he was proactive about it. The rest of the salad was not flavorful. I thought the chili lime vinaigrette was OK. I also asked for a side of sherry shallot but I didn't care for that. I did not finish the ham and cheese melt. It was a large portion. The sandwich was OK but I did not take home the leftovers. My boyfriend got the Caesar wrap and southwest chicken salad. I tried his Caesar wrap and didn't like the flavor. I see in my reviews that I had visited a McAlisters in Pigeon forge a some years ago, and though I gave it a good review, I kind of forgot about it. I guess it it wasn't that remarkable or memorable. I had planned to visit a location in south Florida more recently, but their systems were down, so they couldn't take an order. That left an impression. Fast forward and I got some promotional offer so I thought I'd check it out. Inside, it looks like most other sandwich shops. Nothing remarkable but clean and pleasant. The staff that I interacted with were all nice. But I immediately noticed that they have *one* vegetarian item on their menu. I suppose other things could be made vegetarian, and I think they might have offered a grilled cheese. I ordered the veg sandwich and it was pretty good. The Brookie is factory made and tastes mostly like a factory brownie. The chocolate chip cookie is also factory made but the best of the desserts, even though it has tons of chemicals like the Brooke. It's very chewy. Wow!! Let me just say this wrap was so good. The ham and turkey was fresh. It was not like other places that have slimy deli meats. I did get the McAlisters honey mustard sauce on the side cz some times honey mustard to me can be very over powering. But it wasn't!! It was great. I would say I wasn't a big fan of their potato salad. I am BOTH a mustard or Pickles in my potato salad kinda girl. lol. The lady up front in the counter was so helpful and patient. She even suggested to me to download the app become a member and get a FREE big Tea. I did just that and got their famous Sweet Tea. Yes it's that good. I love me some sweet tea. I did wish I took a picture of it but I didn't. I was too excited to have sweet tea. This location wasn't busy for lunch. It had a nice calming feel to it. I have been to the McAllisters in Sunrise for lunch & I enjoyed it so when I couldn't think of a place for a healthy dinner on a rainy Saturday evening & my husband suggested the Plantation McAlister's Deli; I quickly put on some shoes snd headed for the door. I honestly wasn't sure they were even open because when we got up to the window we could see the dining room was empty. We ventured in and a friendly employee that was sweeping up greeted us right away. Another employee at the counter was quick to ask us what we would like. After a few minutes of looking at the menu I decided on the Savannah Chopped Chicken Salad with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. My husband ordered the Southwest Chicken & Avocado Salad; we were given a number & told to have a seat & our salads would be brought to us shortly. We only had to wait a little more than five minutes for our salads to be made. My salad was perfection lots of fresh spinach, topped with just the right size pieces of chicken, cranberries, slivered almonds, and Gorgonzola cheese. I absolutely loved it and there was no guilt when devouring the entire thing. My husband really enjoyed his salad and it was a hefty portion as well. We were both just drinking fountain drinks but an employee came over to ask us if we wanted refills and to check on us while we were dining. Overall it was a great experience with delicious food and good service at a very reasonable price. I can't wait to go back and try another salad because there were so many options that looked tempting. They also have a large selection of sandwiches, soups, and potatoes that sounded delicious. I have eaten here about 4 times now and the first 3 were great. Once I had the choose 2 with chicken sandwich and broccoli/cheese soup. I really enjoyed it and the food was plentiful. However I just ordered it again a couple of days ago and was very disappointed. The soup was perfect but the sandwich was not. The other time I had it the size was at least 6 inches but the recent one was barely 3 inches, less filling in the bread and not as tasty. For almost $13 I didn't expect such a tiny sandwich fit for children. Also a beverage is extra. I can get a 6" nicely filled sandwich, chips, and drink for the same price in other sub places. So I am not going to be returning to McAlister's for a meal any time soon. read more

We tried to go to a different restaurant for dinner but the parking lot was packed and there were a lot of people waiting outside so we decided against that place. I can't imagine how crowded it was inside! We had to go to Plan B except we didn't have a Plan B, lol. We were trying to decide where to go and I remembered this place and suggested we come here. Glad we did! There was a steady stream of people picking up their orders but the dining room wasn't crowded and we felt safe. The employees have always been very friendly and tonight was no different. Leia took our order then gave us a number to put at our table. She brought our food to us when it was ready and even checked on us during our meal to make sure that we were ok. My husband & daughter ordered the Choose 2; he got a half Chef Salad and cup of Chicken Dumpling Soup, and she got a half Spicy Southwest Chicken Sandwich and half Cesar Salad. ONE MORE TIME!!!" 2+1+3 I have now tried on two different occasions to order from McAlister's Deli and redeem my T-Mobile award points, but to no avail! 1.) I had a very difficult time registering. My attempted login kept stating that my passwords didn't match, even though they did match when verified. After registering my passwords, I placed an order and headed to the deli. Driving above the speed limit, I arrived at the deli around 8:25 PM. I saw one of the workers coming toward the front door and thought she was bringing me my order. Instead, she was coming to lock the door, which she did. I called customer service and received the usual "I'm sorry" script. 2.) On day two, I called McAlister's and spoke to the manager, Ari, to ensure I wouldn't have a problem. He assured me there wouldn't be, but I still experienced the same scenario as the day before. Now I'm on my way to try placing an order one more time. Let's see what happens this time. May 16, 2025 For the third time, at 8:03 PM, I was unable to place an order! McAlister's wasn't taking orders using T-Mobile reward points. Kaitlyn, the store manager, stated that corporate had stopped accepting reward points because they had exceeded their limit on May 14, 2025. I like McAlister's Deli over Panera any day of th week. This location had a very friendly and helpful, not to mention patient staff. Food quality is about what you expect in these restaurants, some days it may be a little better and others not so much. It's consistent, it's relatively fair priced and the choose two option is a great selection if you want something more than just a sandwich. I like the fact that they offer baked potatoes. We ate lunch there today and tried a new soup and a new sandwich. The soup was broccoli and cheddar, which is new to us and we had a nice bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich. Also new to us. The service is impeccable. We think the manager and then I spoke to a gentleman who was instrumental and making our experience to be five star rated.Rashane (if I spelled it correctly) and then we also enjoy meeting, Dan. Again upon entering the restaurant, we found it to be very clean very enjoyable. Recently a friend bought me a traveler's tumbler from McAlister's Deli that gives you .99 cent refills because she knows I'm a huge fan of iced and sweet tea. I stopped by to get my refill and lunch- since I'd never eaten there before, and of course to get a refill (or two). McAlister's in the most general of descriptions is set up just like a Corner Bakery or Panera Bread; they feature a wide variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, pick two combos and such. Get in line, place your order, you're given a number, you sit and wait, and they bring you the meal you order. Nice and simple, right? Yes, it's very similar to both of those places, but the quality of food and customer service here really stood out for me. I ordered their McAlister club which essentially is no different than any other club sandwich you'd buy at any deli. I did like that in addition to mayo, they added a sweeter mustard to the sandwich. It comes with your choice of side and I got their potato chips which are kettle-cooked and tasty. I wanted to also try a cup of their chicken and dumpling soup which I really liked. The soup had enough dumplings because nothing makes me more annoyed to spend so much on soup and get only broth. The dumplings were thick and the soup was piping hot. The employees came around asking if anyone needed a refill. The employees behind the counter were super friendly, knowledgeable about the product, and quick. The experience overall was really good and I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu- especially those big loaded baked potatoes I saw on the menu. read more

Cute place right on Sunrise and University. Nothing fancy but the food was really good and the portions are large. Service was great too. The girl at the counter was really friendly. I tried the Pick 2 - Harvest Chicken Salad and a Spud Ole. Even though the baked potato was "half" it was still a nice regular sized potato. It was loaded with chili and cheese too. The chicken salad was really good, served on top of their garden salad. My daughter ordered the Sweet Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. It's served on ciabatta bread with a spicy sweet chipotle peach sauce that is really tasty. Her boyfriend ordered the Spud Max. The full potatoes are huge and his had a ton of ham, turkey and bacon. This place is lovely. I've truly enjoyed my food each time, I had their sandwich and salads. On one occasion, I ordered online and elected to have picknup the order curbside. Upon my arrival, my order was ready and I did not have to wait long once I called to let them know I had arrived. Once I got home I realized my order was incomplete.. I am not one to call and fuss about something minor but decided to call this time since I actually paid extra for what I was missing. I spoke to the manager Sarah who was so helpful. She added my to a list and told me to ask or reference her name the next time I come. Fast forward to a month and a half later, I finally got the chance to come back.
