We went on a Friday morning at 10am. The line moves slowly rhry have one cashier so it is a bit of a wait. The menu seems wide at first but it is fried green tomatoes, pulled pork, and biscuits. There is more but that is the gist. It is a series of "if only" they had a second cashier.... committed to thr BBQ and used vinegar.... if only they used better cheese in their grits... This place is so good and the staff there is great. We didn't discover this place until our vacation was almost over - we went back 4 days in a row. The biscuits are huge. I love the vibe; the menu isn't giant (not much for vegan/vegetarian options sadly), you get to order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table (quick service). When i visited, we saw a couple people stocking up on jams and butters for their orders. it makes dining there fun! It was not clean when we walked in, and the manager was yelling at her employees for the littlest things that don't matter. The workers are mistreated, and so is the building. Food was terrible. Eggs very overcooked and potatoes cold. There is no service. You have to order and tip before you go to your table. A server delivers your food - in our case one person's food and by the time the food for the second diner arrived, the other was finished eating. Transparently this was our third stop trying to find a breakfast place without an insane wait on a Sunday morning, but i'm so glad we ended up here. There was a small line when we arrived, but it moved quickly and we were able to order at the front in just a few minutes. I ordered the viscous (fried chicken, sausage gravy, maple syrup on a cheddar jalapeño biscuit) without cowboy candy (pickled jalapeños) and I added an over easy egg (only $1.50 extra). Food came out super quick and looked fantastic. I had debated getting a side with my biscuit, but the sandwich alone was more than enough. The sausage gravy had big chunks of meat in it and was very flavorful. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was easy to cut through. The egg was a great addition and the cheddar jalapeño biscuit was one of the best I had. If you're looking for a quick and convenient spot that has great food this is your place.
