Nom nom this was my first time trying this place and it was a good experience. The cashier was helpful in walking through the menu. There are a ton of options. They bring the food to you after you order but you self serve your drink and condiments. I got a blueberry biscuit sandwich which was good and a side of grits which are delicious. The biscuits are a decent size so getting just that is plenty.

They have gluten free biscuits! Cute spot, friendly service, yummy drinks, and a great breakfast selection. It's so rare to find anywhere with gluten free biscuit options and the ones here are delicious. New fave spot for a quick yummy breakfast.

I have been here twice and it seems pretty expensive for the type of breakfast items I tend to want when I am in a breakfast or brunch mood. The second time I got a basic egg & cheese biscuit and it was like $10 with tip (I topped on the kiosk, guilt got the best of me). I will go back and eat in the restaurant and see if I can go up a star or two next time.

Fast service. Everything was delicious. The butter and jam bar was my daughters favorite part! Kids portion was two generous pancakes and 2 steps of bacon Parking available in plaza.

Oh man, we loved this place and it's too bad we waited until the next to last day of our travel to try it. We ordered online and picked up inside, it was ready on time, hot and fresh! Everything was made perfectly, we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and agreed the price was right on. We will be back, when we are back!

Visited Vicious Biscuit for the first time. Upon walking in I noticed the aesthetic of the place was nice, brightly lit and plenty of seating. I was expecting a sit down restaurant but it was more of an order at the register situation, which I didn't mind at all. Staff was nice and pricing of items were reasonable in my opinion. My guest and I both ordered the shrimps and grits with a side waffle totaling up to about $43. I like that they give you a number to take to your table and they bring the food to you. Very efficient experience ordering there and it was quick! (It was after 12pm when we went.) Now this is on me because I didn't read everything that came with it but when I got my shrimp and grits I was not expecting it to be on a biscuit. Lol I think they should change the name of it to "shrimp & grit-cuits" lol Any way the food was pretty decent, I didn't leave disappointed but it wasn't super spectacular. The waffle was really thick and it tasted like a cinnamon crumb cake if you like that kind of flavor it's pretty good. One thing I disliked about my experience was the cleanliness of the store. Crumbs were on the floor and the floors were very sticky on the side we sat on. ...But it was cool probably wouldn't rush to return.

If you're ever in Boone, North Carolina and craving a quick bite, Vicious Biscuit is worth a visit. I was in the mood for a biscuit, and this spot delivered with biscuits galore and so many creative biscuit sandwich options. You order and pay up front, and then your meal is brought to the table. There's plenty of space to sit, and the whole place is well lit with a welcoming feel. One of the coolest features is their butter and jam bar. They offer a variety of butters like honey butter, maple bourbon butter, sweet potato butter, and regular butter, along with jams that range from apple butter and apple pie jam to blueberry ghost pepper, blackberry, peach habanero, and strawberry. They serve more than just biscuits and biscuit sandwiches too, with options like bowls and short stacks. My husband ordered the Fat Boy, a buttermilk biscuit stacked with crispy fried chicken, pimento cheese, and hot honey. The Fat Boy was delicious, the chicken was perfectly crispy, and the mix of chili sauce and pimento cheese gave it a flavorful kick. I can see why that is one of their standout biscuits. I ordered the Animal Farm, which came with a buttermilk biscuit, white cheddar, Vicious candied bacon, and an egg cooked your way. I had mine scrambled, and the egg was nice and fluffy, though I was not too thrilled with the bacon and ended up giving it to my husband. What I really enjoyed was eating the biscuit topped with butter and blackberry jam. It was absolutely delightful. We loved the biscuits so much that we actually ordered more to take home. Vicious Biscuit definitely hit the spot and is a fun place for biscuit lovers to try.

Food was amazing! We had the vicious and the waffle and everything was awesome. A HUGE plus is that their orange juice is actually fresh squeezed!

Vicious is a delicious breakfast option when in the Boone area. The restaurant itself is really cool. They do pack out but they do a pretty good job of moving the line along. I will say that they could probably stand to add another cash register and an additional employee taking orders during peak times, but I realize that's a big change! Their biscuit creations are unique and delectable. It's hard to choose which one to get! I got the Nashville Hot this time and my boyfriend had The Vicious. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the sauce/jam/and butter bar, just one more thing to elevate these already top notch biscuits. The only reason I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars is because I've been to the other location in Mt Pleasant and found it to be a little bit better than this one. The portions weren't as large here and the chicken wasn't quite as tender. Overall, a great experience though and one I'd recommend to anyone in search of a great biscuit or breakfast!

My daughter has eaten here before and wanted to grab lunch while we were visiting App State. It's good and while I did not get a biscuit myself I did try the one my wife got with her chicken. It was a little on the dry side if I'm being honest but the butter bar more than helps makeup for that. I got the standard breakfast with fried eggs, bacon, grits, and their sweet cream pancakes. The pancakes were great but were so fluffy they wouldn't stay together when you tried to eat them (I made it work)! I would suggest putting syrup on the butter bar as the one small container they give you is not enough for those two big cakes. The honey butter was by far my favorite and the hot honey was good on the chicken and waffles. I will certainly go back!

I've now eaten here several times while visiting Boone, NC. I find myself coming back for several reasons: 1. It is very good if you like chicken and/or biscuits. Which I do. More than I should. 2. It has never been insanely busy when I've come, which means i am able to order quickly. 3. It is away from the chaos of the campus and downtown. I once wove in and out of the crowded blocks downtown dodging cars, pedestrians, cats...and never finding a parking spot. After several passes I gave up and drove to vicious biscuit and had a delightful meal! 4. It has a cool name. Just accept it!

A little bit more elevated than fast food. Order at the counter, take your number, grab your utensils and flavored butters, jams, sauces, etc. and grab a seat. Our food came out maybe 5 minutes later. The Skully Squad Special Bowl was okay; the hot honey really overpowered the potatoes, eggs and chicken (the scant amount of crispy fried chicken bites). Their Gravy Train was definitely better than the bowl.

Proper is just that, a quaint and popular restaurant that features the chef's special select menu each day which means reservations are highly suggested. We were lucky enough to arrive right before peak dinner time and was able to score a spot to the front overlooking the chefs garden where ingredients are home grown. We started with their carrot and apple soup with coconut milk base. I know this is tmi but I'd be satisfied swimming in a pool of that delicious soup. Fresh, fresh and fresh. I decided on the baked catfish with olives, tomatoes and thyme together with green beans potato casserole and side salad while my partner enjoyed fried chicken breast with potatoes and gravy, steamed cabbage and cornbread. Very few can take a boneless fried chicken to taste like it's still on the bone. Excellently done. We then savored on their recommended dessert chocolate chip bread pudding with homemade ice cream. If you're in the neighborhood give this quaint little house a try you won't be disappointed.

It might have just been the holiday rush, but I always figure "busy means good," so my expectations were high--and The Local didn't disappoint. We also ordered the Brazilian steak, which was cooked perfectly and came with great plantains. The quinoa with tofu was good, too, though it was a little dry and would have been perfect with a sauce. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and refilled my water at least four times without me asking. Great ambiance and an all-around good experience. Definitely worth the wait!

Not being too hungry, but knowing we needed something, we decided to just split an order of the pulled pork nachos. The food came out fairly quickly, looked and tasted great. They did not skimp on toppings. Staff was friendly, food was good, only complaint is it was very dark inside, and surprisingly loud in the restaurant, I can't imagine being there with live music, I assume it would be impossible to have a conversation.

On this last trip, we went twice. I got the Beth Ann Clark both times. I just love their cheesy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, fruit, and french toast. My husband tried two different entrees this time--the Butch Triplett (corned beef and eggs) and their breakfast burrito. Their corned beef is likely from a can, but it's so good because they cook it so it's very crispy. I always steal some of his corned beef to add to my eggs! Their breakfast burrito is amazing. It's simply filled, with just scrambled eggs, cheese, small bits of ham, and hash browns. It's topped with an enchilada sauce that is similar to a ranchero sauce, and is served with sour cream and guacamole. It's a massive burrito, and SO GOOD! My husband said it's his new favorite. Social on Main is popular, and so we always go early (before 8am). After 8am, there is usually a wait--especially on Saturdays. Their servers are always friendly, and the food is delivered fast. Their coffee is nice and strong, too. I wish we had a Social on Main near our house, because we'd visit them weekly.
