Pan Seared Scallops

Delicious food! Very great service. Vibes were nice and elegant. I love that entrees come with free salad. Love this place. Will be back!

First time visiting Via was for Valentine's Day dinner and I am so happy with our choice of having it here. The restaurant is bigger than I thought, there's a nice covered outdoor area which I think opens up in the summer which seems to be nice. We had a reservation at 6 and were seated immediately. Our waitress was right behind us and immediately filled our waters and introduced herself. They have a huge wine selection, we needed a few minutes to pick one. For an appetizer, we got the bolognese arancini. This was insane!! I think we picked the best app. The breading was unbelievably great, while the inside was soft with lots of flavor. I tried to scoop up as much sauce as I could with each bite. For meals, I got the chicken parm with vodka sauce. The portion was huge! The chicken covered the entire bowl. It was very crispy, I liked that it wasn't super thin. The spaghetti was a thicker noodle and it tasted super fresh. My boyfriend got the seafood fra diavolo which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also had enough for leftovers. Overall, we had a great experience here and it's a great spot for celebrations.

Via Italian Table is a beautiful restaurant, located on busy restaurant row on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester. Worcester is the second largest city (by population) in New England. Via also offers very pleasant patio style dining in the summer, I really like the venue. Their service has always been very good, including this evening when I ordered takeout. They have some great menu choices and I decided on: CHICKEN PARMESAN $29.99 Lightly breaded, sautéed chicken breast served over spaghetti with marinara, melted fresh mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese with Tortellini. MUSHROOM FIORI $29.99 Fiori pasta tossed in a herbed wild mushroom cream sauce, smoked honey, porcini mushroom powder and parmesan cheese. (2) BURRATA CAPRESE SALAD $7.00 each (up charge) Fresh burrata mozzarella, heirloom tomato, basil, herb oil, and balsamic reduction. I waited at the bar sipping on a nice Austin Hope Cabernet, Paso Robles, 2022 ($17), which was suggested by the friendly and attentive bar tender. Service at the bar was excellent. The food arrived in about 15 to 20 minutes, just as the hostess estimated. Via is a quick 15 minute drive to my house. The food was warm when I arrived, but unfortunately it was disappointing, in great part, because it was very dry. The Mushroom Fiori had a nice flavor, but the pasta absorbed too much of the sauce, so we didn't like the consistency. And either there was too little sauce for the Chicken Parma and Tortellini, or the pasta absorbed too much, and the result was very dry and unappetizing Tortellini. The Chicken was pretty good, not as dry as the pasta, though some sauce would have helped that too. And lastly we get to the Burrata Caprese Salad. First of all, when I ordered this, I didn't realize there was an up charge, I was told a salad came with the meal (perhaps just a house salad). That said, had I enjoyed the salad, I would have forgiven the transgression. The Burrata with Balsamic Reduction was delicious!! But the tomatoes were TERRIBLE! The texture and flavor was really unappealing. Though not in season, we get vine ripened tomatoes or grape tomatoes which are usually pretty good, even during the cold month of January. These tomatoes tasted like cheap, bulk, left over supermarket tomatoes that I would never consider purchasing. I ate one bite and tossed the rest of the tomatoes. An interesting aside is that the Burrata Caprese Salad came with a cup of balsamic reduction on the side for the salad. I'm surprised more Italian restaurants don't provide a cup or two of sauce to help refresh their takeout orders (in the future I'm going to request that). My guess is that the two entrees would have been much better had I dined at the restaurant, though I definitely would have returned the salads. Three-stars for this visit.

Fig & Prosciutto Pizza

Delicious Caesar salad pizza (yes - who knew that was a thing) and prosciutto arugula pizza. And the $5 cocktails... bonus. Kasey was also elan excellent server - we will be back

Very nice restaurant for an Italian dinner. The crepe cake was the star of the show - such a delicate and delicious dessert. The server was also so friendly and gave us many other recommendations in the area.

Sucking pig.

First--Tony, my waiter, was awesome. A lot of servers just don't give a shit. Tony was excellent and very attentive. Via has a great ambiance. I have gone here since my son was a freshman at WPI years ago. I ordered the sucking pig off the Pigfest menu and I was not disappointed. Wicked good. Cheesy gahhlic bread was off the chain too. Only criticism was the calamari--a little light in the portion and very "fried" tasting.

Great food and service as always. I enjoyed the charcuterie board which included all types of meats, jams, and cheese. My lunch entrees was the Salmon Puttanesca over polenta.

Had an amazing lunch experience here. We ordered several appetizers, all of them delicious and fresh. The entrées were equally amazing. Their new $10 lunch menu is mind blowing in terms of the quantity and quality of food for the price. Our server was wonderful, simply wonderful. Love the open kitchen plan. Nice cozy atmosphere. Everyone was top-notch. Beer was super fresh. Great job, highly highly recommend Via!!

Another great celebration at Via!!! We sat at the bar and just ordered drinks, appetizers and desserts, they have such delicious appetizers and desserts we just don't have room for a meal also!!! Great service as usual from the bartenders and everything was done perfectly!

We chose Via Italian Table for a post-graduation celebration and it didn't disappoint. After a short wait at the bar to access our table (for an 8 pm reservation), we were seated in a cozy semi-circle booth. It took a bit too long to get our ordered drinks, but the rest of the evening went great! Our waitstaff was attentive and checked in regularly. For a party of 5, the meals were delivered in a timely way. The food was delicious. Entrees come with either soup or salad and I enjoyed Chicken orzo soup. My herb-encrusted Halibut was wonderful, accompanied by asparagus in a tasty Parmesan coating and oven-roasted potatoes. We were pleasantly surprised and touched when our graduates were presented with gratis gelato. We also had some of the best Tiramisu I've ever tasted! The chocolate torta was rich but a bit dry. Overall a great dining experience.

A nice Italian restaurant in Worcester, especially if you're celebrating a special occasion or looking to have a business lunch. While I personally think there are better options for Italian food in the area (for a more affordable price), via is a consistent Italian restaurant in the area. I specifically appreciate the ambiance and service of the restaurant, which makes it great for special occasions. I've been here a dozen or so times for various occasions, and some of my favorite items include the meatball sandwich, chicken parm. Their fries are shockingly one of my favorite foods there. Now, my partner and I prefer to go here for dessert instead, as they have a variety of delicious gelatos.

Our waitress was pleasant and prompt throughout our dinner. On our first visit my co-diner ordered the fried scallops, and thought they were very tasty. So, on this visit we ordered: * 2 - Fried Scallop Baskets (one with regular fries, the other with sweet potato fries) * Chicken Wings Side with BBQ Sauce Our order arrived quite quickly, and I immediately sampled a sweet potato fry. Tasty! Hot, crispy, and nicely cooked. The same could be said for the regular fries. It's unfortunate so many restaurants are French fried challenged, with fries that are served too cool and limp. Kudos to Juicy Seafood for great fries. The scallops were also tasty, with or without the bread crumbs (which come off very easily). They were fresh tasting, very hot and very juicy. However, the chicken wings were not good, they were overcooked, overloaded with sauce and difficult to eat. I wouldn't recommend those. Overall, we were happy with our dinner and would be delighted to return.

It's the kind of place where you immediately feel relaxed but still excited for the meal ahead. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. As for the food, I ordered the quarter pound lobster roll, and it was absolutely outstanding. The lobster was fresh, tender, and generously portioned, with flavors that were rich yet beautifully balanced. Every bite was satisfying. Overall, this restaurant delivers on all fronts: atmosphere, service, and quality. I'd happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal!

Honestly very heavy and was glad I split the one size they had with a friend. It would have been too much. There was a little layer of oil on top too. The Faux Fiz mocktail I got was good. However, a lot of "spices". I ended up requesting more ginger beer and lime to cut it. That helped. But overall good quality drink. The Atlantic salmon crudo was very interesting. Nothing close to what I expected. It was gross. Really thick salmon over globs of a black garlic aioli. The ratio was so off. It was so pasty. I am shocked they haven't reviewed that item on their menu. Usually crudos are so nice and light. This was not. The wild Spanish octopus was the better of the three dishes. Just needed some more salt. Or more of the chorizo would have sufficed. I was surprised that this place was nothing like it used to be. Will not be back :(

Friends ordered the salmon and mushroom ravioli and both really enjoyed their meals. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Not much to look at from outside nestled in a tight residential neighborhood with limited street parking but complimentary valet service. Mare E Monti - Exceptional Authentic Italian & Seafood Pasta Spot in Worcester, MA…read more Mare E Monti is an exceptional Italian gem -- probably home to the best seafood pasta I've ever had. I was in town ahead of a half marathon near Hampton Beach on Sunday. After a long drive and a surprise call that my extended family was touring the East Coast nearby, we decided to meet halfway -- and Worcester made perfect sense. I booked a table for eight at 8 PM on Saturday. We miscounted our party, which led to about a 45-minute wait, but honestly, that just gave us more time to catch up. The interior strikes a lovely balance -- rustic yet modern, cozy yet romantic, and unmistakably Italian in feel. Starters We kicked off with two plates of Calamari Fritti -- classic native calamari, lightly fried and tossed with cherry peppers and a delicate butter sauce. Absolutely delicious; I had to restrain myself from finishing the whole plate. Complimentary garlic bread with olive oil was also served, and I stopped myself at 2-3 slices to save room for the race-fueling carbs to come. For salad, I chose the Insalata Casalinga -- crisp field greens, grape tomatoes, julienne carrots, cucumbers, red onion, and imported olives in a light vinaigrette. Simple, fresh, and highly recommended. The Main Event The real reason I chose Mare E Monti was simple: carb loading. I went with the Pasta con Cozze e Fagioli -- sautéed mussels in a garlic white wine sauce with diced tomatoes and cannellini beans, tossed with linguine. It was everything I'd hoped for: flavorful yet light, satisfying without being heavy. The mussels were tender, the beans added substance, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Others at the table tried the Ravioli di Aragosta (lobster ravioli) on my recommendation. I snagged a bite -- and it was heavenly. Rich, delicate, and beautifully balanced. Final Thoughts Dinner here was the perfect pre-race meal -- nourishing without weighing me down. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service attentive, and the food consistently excellent. Even parking was simple; I found easy street parking just around the corner (though valet is also available). Oh, and the next morning? I ran a personal best in my half marathon -- just over 1 hour and 20 minutes. I'd like to think the perfect plate of pasta helped fuel that finish. All in all, Mare E Monti is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine and standout seafood pasta in the Worcester area. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in Massachusetts.
