One of the very worst customer service departments I have experienced in my life I spent literally close to 100 hours trying to get help with my severely defective iPhone 16 Pro. I could not get a human on chat or on the phone with a human to save my life. I have a life, and I finally gave up because not a single customer service person would ever help me. That has been awhile ago. Recently, I tried yet again to get help. I finally did get someone who said I could get a new phone, which I have but haven't set up. Absolutely the WORST authorized retailer. Be mindful that this is not actually a Verizon store, but a store that is allowed to sell Verizon products. The staff is severely undertrained and lacks basic knowledge of company policies and procedures. I went in to take advantage of an upgrade and trade-in offer that I seemed to know more about. Then, when asking for a quote, an online purchase was made without my consent. For $830. I was told that "this happens" and that there was no way to cancel this order. The only way is to have the phone delivered. Or dispute the charge with my bank. This is fraud. Do yourself a favor and go to a corporate store. read more

Hooray! Finally intelligent people working at a store that are actually helpful. Needed a screen protector replacement for my iPhone 12and couldn't bear the thought of going to my local Verizon retailer, as usually my experience at the one in Pinole is shall we say, less than perfect. Actually, it usually sucks. I was on a pretty tight schedule today and so reached out to the next closest one in Martinez. Best move I've made in weeks. Anthony was very helpful and quickly and easily replaced my chipped screen protector. The store manager, Juan and I had previously spoken on the phone; he was calm and clear and laid out all his store's protocols for Covid. This store has a long way to go to become a helpful and friendly place to get a phone. I was greeted by an employee telling me they were closed when it was 15 minutes before 7:00 and he argued with me about my phone despite not having asked me any questions. The manager rescued his employee by offering to help me the next day but still, what a poor experience and no apology from either of them for the rude treatment. Please beware of this retailer. Denying existing customers new iPhone upgrades . If you enter store and tell Dexter you are a new customer he instantly will sell phone. Corporate office at Verizon stated this facility is giving incorrect in stock date to make commissions instead of serving existing clients. I bought a new iPhone 13 and during the set up process something went wrong so I called Verizon and was on hold for 45 minutes. I had to hang up because my first work appointment. Call them a couple days later and held on the phone for 42 minutes and somebody picked up after talking to them for 15 minutes they said they couldn't help me but they would send me to level to tech-support. Then I waited 30 minutes for someone to pick up the call after I was transferred. When the person picked up the call I spoke to them for 20 minutes and then it became apparent that this was not level 2 Tech Suppport they put me back in the beginning of the queue and this was a first level customer service person who basically told me they could not help me but they would help me set up a time for Verizon to call me back with level two tech-support. We arranged an appointment between 330 and 4 PM for them to call me. At 3:31 PM I received a message by text from Verizon that said we are sorry we missed you. I checked my phone to make sure that it was not in private mode and that I had already turned off anonymous call blocking and they did not call. There was a link in the text message so I clicked on that and it connected me right back into the telephone queue where I Entered all my information and received a message that says we see that you have called several times so we will get to you shortly. I waited another 45 minutes and hung up in utter frustration. My advice to you is run as far as you can away from Verizon. read more

I would rather get punched in the face with my eyes closed than to walk back into this store again! I came in here several months ago to address a cellular issue that I had with my iPad. They were not able to fix it and as a result has to go to the Pleasant Hill location. It was the attitude while they addressed the issue that was so off putting. Fast forward to the recent episode. After talking to the Verizon customer service agent about replacing a lost phone I went into the store to get the new phone. However the story that customer service shared was entirely different than what the store was offering. Again, the attitude was horrible. A sense of arrogance and indifference from them that I could have done without. In the end I have left the store without the phone and will likely be switching my son's phone to Sprint since it is a comparable cost. What did I learn today? A punch to the face would be less painful than shopping at this Verizon. read more

I called the Verizon store today to get information on trade in values and promotions. Anthony took a lot of time explaining every possible scenario to me. He found a great promotion for me. I appreciated him taking the time to do this over the phone. After getting all of this info I went straight down to the store and met with Anthony and finished the process. He was so kind and very efficient at his job. He made this transaction very easy and quick. While I was waiting for him to transfer everything on my phone Juan (the manager) came in. He was very kind and made sure that I had gotten great service while I was there. We have been Verizon customers for well over 20 years and this is why we stay with them. I went into this location after leaving the sun valley verizon location, when they were unable to do the screensaver on my brand new iPhone 7 Plus. I went in there but they said I would have to purchase a new one, which i did. The girl got a huge air bubble in the center and pieces of lint everywhere. I asked her if she could at least push out the air bubble but she couldnt and she tried again, but within this time period she dropped my phone without its case 3 times, and the screen is scratched (the actual screen not the screensaver) . I am super disappointed in this service, though the scratch isn't that bad, it sill upsets me that it had to happen the day I got it. She didn't even apologize. If you have any Verizon needs I would not go to this store. They are only interested in up-selling you and will not hesitate to lie to you in the process. I went there with a phone I got through an insurance claim. I was told they were not able to activate any new iPhone 5 SE's anymore and my only option was a new phone! My instincts kicked in and I quickly left. Went to the Verizon store in Pleasant Hill where they have knowledgable, helpful staff and was told I just had a bad SIM card and thy fixed it on the spot. I recently moved to martinez, and have been a Verizon customer for about 2 yrs now, and it was about that time for a new phone, so I checked out the Verizon in Martinez, and there I met one of the most knowledgeable and funny sales people I ever met, most sales people come off like they're trying to sell to you but Justin landon made me feel right at home, he even offered me a Starbucks, besides just being a nice guy, I could tell he actually sincerely cared about my plan and tried to find the best possible price for my budget, I must say I was very impressed by his sincerity. I really don't like writing reviews good or bad, but this store is so awful and it basically stole 300 dollars of my money. The representative talk me into buying a third party insurance plan from protect cell. They told me that they will cover all insurance plan for any damages or mechanical and software issue. They told me that insurance company give you a brand new phone when a claim is filed. I need a new warranty my phone due to a battery and a software issue so I went into the store and they told me to call the insurance company because it's a third party company I'm not directly associated with our store. Once I got protect cell on the line they did not want to warranty my phone , they also told me it would be an additional hundred plus dollars for them to get me another phone. Not only was I going to have to pay the additional money but they were going to send me a refurbished phone. I asked him about the brand new phone and their response was only if we have them in stock. How many times have we heard statements like that? I ask them when they were going to get another supplier and their answer was we don't know. I said under false representation that I wanted a refund and they absolutely denied it. they said talk to the store who sold me the plan. Of course their responses we have no responsibility since it is a third party insurance company. Remember this particular Verizon store was pretty insistent on selling me that companies plan. I've called Verizon corporate office but because it's a franchise office they really can't do anything. The service in this office is some of the worst service I've seen . . Even a smoke shop in the downtown ghetto of compton have better service. Corporate verizon gave me the franchise district representative but told me that the store would have to give me the number. I called them for the number today and they have so far refused to provide that number. This is an ongoing battle with this franchise office. I will not alter this review until we come to an agreement. read more

So, I came across this store as I was meeting a friend for lunch and my iPhone 6 had decided it would just shut it's screen off without allowing me to use my phone at all. When I walked in I was greeted by Greg, and I let him know that I hadn't had my device for longer than 2 months but it was acting weird. He was able to perform a soft reset on it and get it back on. I was thinking that my battery was dying fairly quickly and he suggested a portable charger that I have found to be my favorite all time accessory because now I can always use my phone on the go. Long story short, Greg was a great help, and didn't push any type of sales pitch on me but just made my experience an enjoyable one. read more
