I went into the west linn Verizon store tonight, right before closing, and I was pretty angry upon arrival. Angry from ongoing issues I've been dealing with surrounding my Verizon account for months & months . I had just been hung up on twice when calling Verizon support, so I went straight into the nearest Verizon store tonight. I arrived 5 minutes to closing. I expected to get rushed out the door and was already expecting I'd probably be told to go to another location on the following day. ( as that's happened in the past) Nick greeted me with a smile, he patiently listened to me explain my issues, and he went above and beyond to do everything in his power to help me get them resolved. He took detailed notes of my issues, he was 100% honest in telling me this is something that corporate will probably have to address, so I'd have to go to another location, he named the nearest ones. He stayed long after his shift, when he could have rushed me out the door, he didn't. He stayed, and he took notes of the issues and I felt heard and I felt like he genuinely cared. I arrived to the store mad as could be, swearing I'd never use Verizon again. I left the store thinking,Wow, he really cares, he went above and beyond for me, and for Verizon to have somebody like him representing their name, they are so lucky! Thanks again, Nick! Their online system is broken, their support is disorganized, and I've read dozens of reviews since that echo my exact experience. Sadly, I had to find out the hard way that the Verizon name doesn't mean much when it comes to actual service. This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had purchasing something. I hope this helps someone avoid our mistake, please go to a corporate store. What I would give to go back and just make the drive an extra 30 minutes to a corporate Verizon store. Original date of purchase 11/22/24, still working on resolution 1/2/24. Cost: You pay an extra non-negotiable $50 activation for each line, IN ADDITION to the $40 activation fee from Verizon corporate they don't tell you about in store. If you go to a Verizon Corporate store, you only pay the $35 activation fee + $5 surcharge (3rd party $90 per line/Corporate store $40 per line) They put 4 "Temporary" lines on our account which they said they needed to transfer the data from our old phone to the new phone and it would be removed once our trade in phones were received and tested. Our trade ins are on our account but we are still paying activation fees on 10 lines. We paid the difference of our old phones value in store ($1,200 new phone/$1,000 Trade In = 200), it is still not reflected on our bill. Verizon can't see the invoice since they are not Verizon, we had to request a detailed invoice to get credit from corporate which still hasn't happened. Misinformation: They underpriced every single device they tried to sell us and only corrected themselves at the very end. Mind you this took 4 hours (1 hour wait with appt and 3 hours working with someone) for 4 new phone lines on 1 account. Phones were $400 more than quoted, hundreds of dollars in additional activation fees, etc. etc. You cannot return anything to this store. We returned our router because the internet couldn't stream videos, they told us to take it to the corporate location but that wasn't true either we were told by the corporate store you have to send it in to Verizon via mail. This took several hours to figure this all out and the worst part is Verizon tells us the store has to figure it out, the store tells us Verizon has to figure it out. We are trying to cancel our whole transaction and redo it online. read more

Been burned here a few times now and won't be back. Wait times are consistently long to get to an associate and they don't "triage" so even if you just want to make a quick purchase you have to go to the back of the line. The last straw here was the screen protector I purchased at a considerable mark-up for $65. Upon putting it on my phone it had a circle in the middle where the screen protector was lighter in color meaning that there was always a circle in the middle of my screen. This was not indicated anywhere on the package. I tried to return it and they said they were aware of the problem and they usually try to guide customers to purchasing something else. Well that didn't happen and they wouldn't refund my money. I found a better product on Amazon for literally 1/8 of the price of what they charged for their screen protector. They fought my credit card company on the chargeback so I paid $65 for a piece of garbage. read more

Terrible experience. Terrible and dishonest customer service. I was going to order the new iPhone though Verizon and have them ship it to me, however it was backordered and there was about a 2 week delay. They had given me the option to trade in my current iPhone X for $459 as a promo. Before I finalized the trade-in I decided to call a couple local retailers and found that this location had the phone I wanted in stock. I drive out and the associate told me they could only offer me $300, but he would be able to submit a ticket to get the full $459 that Verizon was offering me with no issue. With faith in his word I decide to purchase the phone there. Weeks go by and I continue to check my account with no change at all. I then follow up with this store and I am told they need to submit an additional ticket to get it approved and in the chance that Verizon declines the ticket again, I was assured that the stores manager would credit me the additional $159 regardless. At this point I am hesitant and insist on this being emailed to me so I have it documented. After about a week I followed up and responded to the email asking for an update 4 separate times to ZERO response from the associate or the manager that was CC'd. In the end the credit was never applied and I have been going back and forth with Verizon directly to try and get this corrected now. Currently trying to decide how I can action as I do have this all in writing. Dont waste your time here, go through Verizon directly or choose a different location. These people could care less about you. read more

UPDATE since my original review: The day this review was posted, I got a message back with an email for a regional customer service person. I immediately contacted him. He was fantastic and resolved everything. It took time to get it through all the systems, but we got the money we were owed back. So I am grateful for the help. I've updated my rating to 3 stars as this should have never happened and shouldn't have taken a 1 start rating/review to actually get anyone to help me. I have heard since that the store manager is no longer there so that's also a plus. I am grateful to their regional service manager for resolving our issue. read more

THIS IS NOT A VERIZON STORE! I used the pickup option online for an upgrade, and they tried to charge me $399 upon pickup instead of the pay by month option. When I called Verizon they got on the phone and this was fixed however, they then charged $760 instead of the advertised $750 which they can apparently do since they are a retailer. If I wanted to return this after second thoughts on this specific option of iphone they would then charge a re-stocking fee, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! read more

I went there yesterday to take advantage of a Black Friday deal. Fortunately they had the phone in stock. I looked up the price online and this store had the same price. It should be the same cost because it's Verizon right?? Boy was I wrong!!!! This is a Verizon authorized dealership and they don't work the same way as Verizon Corp. I was "helped" by TeAhna (Te) and Mikka. In addition to the phone which I can pay on my monthly bill, they charged *$19.99 for "Set up and go plus" and *$29.99 for "Redux multi-device membership" When I asked about those fees at checkout they said that the redux fee is like a warranty extender. Not true. It has nothing to do with the warranty. It turns out that redux is a machine that dries the phone if you get it wet. They added the fee even though I told them I've never dropped my phone in the toilet. The set up and go fee is even more misleading. Even a Verizon rep I called afterwards at Verizon corporate was mystified. She looked it up on her database of fees and couldn't find it. I assumed it's to help you transfer data from your old phone to the new one. Turns out that's a free service or I can do it myself. So I went back and told them basically they are charging $50 more for getting the phone through them vs Verizon Corp. Mikka said if I try to get a refund they'll have to charge the restocking fee. She quoted $50 even though the paperwork says it is $35. Earlier when I asked Te about a possible restocking fee she said it doesn't apply if I bring it back within 14 days. When she overheard Mikka tell me it applies immediately she said, "well I told you I was new". Mikka finally agreed to refund the redux fee. She said she couldn't refund the set up and go fee cuz they needed some way to track purchases. Unlike Verizon Corp they don't have access to customers' private information like our social security numbers. This explanation made no sense to me and continuing to ask questions just gave me more confusion and double talk. I decided to cut my losses and just get out of there!! read more

In an age of offshore Customer Service that is abysmal to say the least, I have found an oasis of excellent customer service in a desert of apathy. Do not take your business to this outlet. First of all they are not a "Verizon" store at all, which I discovered the hard way. They are what is know as a "retail partner". What this means is they are a store that sells phones and gets to use the Verizon name. It means that once they have unloaded a phone on you, and been paid their "commission" which they hide in the bill as "rewards" ,as opposed to set up costs, they are done with you. I purchased a Nokia phone from these folks, with a Microsoft plat form. My office runs on a Microsoft server ,and I had never had difficulties before. After I transitioned to the new phone, they interchange simply would not work. After making me wait twenty minutes while the only CSR there waited on an indecisive girl who wasn't sure what they wanted, they spent ten minutes telling me to reboot the phone, and trying without success to connect. As new customers came in, she would break from talking to me and try to point people towards phones. The owner of the store is offsite and the oldest person on staff ( one of two) was a robust 22 years old. The Staff were pleasant but inexperienced and clearly overwhelmed. Finally they told me to go to the store in Bridgeport, which I finally did. When the settings were correct put in place, the phone began to download the accumulated emails and texts. read more

I was purchasing a new phone. The manager gave me two Ipads and stated that they were free and would not add any additional cost to my monthly bill. That was not true. The store will not take them back. I am stuck with the equipment I cannot use and the monthly cost. The customer service rep at the main Verizon phone number told me this store is a contractor and they are not Verizon employees. Nothing can be done. read more

I went here to buy a phone. I knew exactly what I wanted. I'd bought phones here before. Immediately, I was informed of what a "great deal" I qualified for. All because of my "excellent payment status." The salesman kept shaking his head with amazement about this great deal. However, the deal was only available that day. It was a "special promotion." I was unable to buy a phone that day. I went back a few days later. The same salesman told me, with a straight face, that the deal was still available. He said --get this -- that he realized how important it was to me, so he had gotten special permission. However, the deal was now only available for one more day. I had to sign today! I said I couldn't purchase the phone till Friday. Suddenly, the deal was available till Friday. Don't lie to me, please. I came in to do an honest business deal. I don't need these lies and shenanigans. Diamond Wireless is just a retailer of Verizon. They are a middle man. In the end, I got a much better deal by calling Verizon directly. The phone was delivered to my door, and I didn't have to be lied to by aggressive young salesmen. read more

Beware - Went to this "Verizon" store to get a replacement phone for a broken Samsung that we had been paying insurance premiums on for nearly two years. What we thought was a covered replacement phone turned out to be a sneaky, misrepresented "upgrade" purchase because the broken model is no longer available, and the Hum device given as a total freebie (with an apology for the 2 hours we were there) was also a scam. Shame on store manager Mikka for not telling us to contact Assurion for a replacement phone as soon as we walked in and told her it was covered by insurance. We didn't know about the charges until we received our bill a month later and now not allowed to return new phone. Shameful business model that takes advantage of seniors on a fixed income. read more

If I could give this store a zero I would. I have recently relocated to OR and love this town, this state and all it has to offer...with one exception, the WEST LINN Verizon store. I went to get a new phone and establish my own account at this location. The first person (a woman) was extremely helpful, and spoke to my daughter to release my line from her account, began the process of establishing my own account and told me about my new iPhone. This took about 2 hours. But I was told that I needed proof of residency so no problem, after getting my new checks and id, I went back a week later to complete the process. Because the woman I worked with was out on maternity leave, I was told that I needed to work with another sales clerk. By the time I was done with this second visit, I had worked with three sales clerks. The first thing I was told was that Verizon had no knowledge of my existing information, had no knowledge of my first visit and so the process had to begin again. Because of the complications of me being on my daughter's account, I had to have a release of liability for that old line and when that was completed, I could establish my own new line. Well, you would have thought I was trying to establish credit to by a house, boat and car all at once. After several hours, I was told that it could take a while longer and that I could go down to Starbucks to wait. So I did. Upon coming back, I was told that it was going to take longer, and to come back later in the afternoon. Before I left, I was given a new number with my own line, but the new number did not have an OR area code. I told them that since I couldn't have my old number, please give me an OR area code with my new number. Hmmm... wouldn't you want an OR area code if you are living in OR. Now I'm up to about 5-6 hours of time spent with this store. I did go back later in the afternoon, and after getting a new iPhone with my OR number (they thru in the scratch guard for all my troubles), I was on my way. Well... not really. After getting home, I tried to set up aps and voicemail and couldn't. My friends tried to help as they all had smart phones, but I guess we were not very smart because nothing worked. We tried to call customer service, went online to problem solve but nothing worked. The following day I went to another Verizon store in Lake Oswego and a young man helped me immediately. He informed me that there was no software on the phone and that nothing had been updated. So after 15 minutes, we were able to establish voicemail, gets aps, emails and almost everything I needed. Thank you so much Lake Oswego Verizon! Again I was on my way. Well.... this is not over... Last week, I paid my first bill on line after receiving a paper bill with all the charges for installing the line and the phone. Since this was a no brainer, I simply logged in and paid. Over the weekend, I checked my account and realized that there wasn't any info re the payment to Verizon. So I called Customer Service only to find that I did NOT have an account with them. Funny, I had a phone with the new line, and after checking the back of my bill, realized that I was being charged for two lines with my phone number and the other phone number that the Verizon West Linn gave me after stating that I could not have my original AZ phone number. So this is why I am, if I could, giving West Linn Verizon a zero. I love OR and West Linn, Lake Oswego and all that the Portland area has to offer. But, please do something at this store. The sales people are so incompetent, and are just spinning their wheels. No one really knew what to do and they desperately need help. And oh yeah, I am paying my bill today (after arguing about late fees which I will not pay re the 2 lines, hours spent etc etc etc) and am still so glad I found my way to OREGON!!! read more

Our Son changed our service (my wife and I) from AT&T to Verizon and put us on his plan, phones were sent to us by mail from Verizon. Being seniors and not real tech savvy we went to Bridgeport Village Verizon for some help on getting these phones activated, no help there, they were so rude to us, told us it was a simple call and provided us with phone number. After trying this our AT&T phones were disconnected and new phones were not working. Long hours were spent by my son with Verizon and problem was not solved. Finally after 5 days without a phone we went to Verizon in West Linn on Willamette Drive, the manager Anita Gibson spent about three hours on the computer and telephone trying to sort out the various problems with the technicians, finally she told us that was all she could do on her end and would keep in touch. That afternoon and the next morning she updated us on the progress, finally they were able to get our phones working, Thank you Anita for all the help, patience, respect and understanding you showed us. She is an asset to this company, very helpful and knowledgeable. read more

This place is the worst. I walked in to get a phone and was told I could get the IPhone 6 for $199. Not true. 2 hours later, I did walk out with a phone but not after feeling like I was in a real bait and switch. My $199 phone was closer to $300 )(I'm still not sure how the $199 price was real, there was no way to get it for $199). By the time I was finished over 2 hours later, the phone was well over the advertised $199 and the "bundle" that was to be "free" cost me another $50, plus I had to ship it on my own another $25, plus insurance which I will soon drop and go to Square Trade. The rep couldn't explain the difference in plan or costs or insurance at all!! I will never go to this Verizon again. And I've never had a worse experience except for buying a used car. Fortunately, the next day, I spoke to a very knowledgeable customer service rep who explained everything to my satisfaction. I will ONLY buy a phone off the WEB; never in this store. If I need service, I'll go to Bridgeport or Clackamas. Save yourself time and aggravation and go to a "real" Verizon store or shop on line. read more
