Stopped in to ask a question about a printer cartridge jam we could not unjam ourselves. Scott (owner, I believe?) was so helpful in explaining to us how HP purposefully creates these jams when generic, non-HP cartridges are used. This can basically render printers permanently useless. An HP trick to get customers to buy their more expensive ink cartridges. He suggested that we return all cartridges for a full refund immediately. We had to purchase a new printer. Scott was extremely helpful, patient and kind. Never tried to sell us anything. We will definitely be doing business with him in the future should we need computer/printer issues. His advice is trustworthy and no hard-sell!!! read more

I took my laptop in for a loose charging pin and possibly damaged cord. They made sure it wasn't the cheapest possible fix first (I was hoping, but oh well) and then fixed it really quickly at a fair price. I showed up a day early to pick it up, and it was not only fixed but cleaned and serviced too. On top of the repair, they threw in a charging cable (which also needed replacing) at a much better price than I could buy it anywhere. They were friendly, non-condescending, and did a great job. Not only did Tim and Shaun fix my work computer by installing a new hard drive, they got it running better and faster than ever with an incredibly fast turn around time. No lost data, which was HUGE for me! Next, I brought in my home PC that had power issues and malware. They cleaned it up and I no longer need to push the "on" button 40 times to get it started. I took my LG Android phone in because the screen was cracked. I was then subjected to a litany of how crummy my phone is and that repairing it would cost more than the phone was worth. Then, after being humiliated by this person, I had to listen to this idiot tell me what phones HE likes. The reason I am sharing this with you folks is because of what happened right after this encounter. I stopped by Comprite on Salamo Rd., in West Linn and after a young man named Dan actually took the time to look at my phone and research the part online I was advised that he could fix it for $89 which included the part AND labor. The guy at ACE told me that obtaining a screen for my phone would be very difficult and not worth the effort because it would cost more than the phone was worth which quite frankly, this is a pretty nice Android phone less than 2 years old. He recommended that I throw it away. Of course, he never made the effort to look online. He made absolutely no effort to act like a professional. The guy was a total jerk acting like he was all that and a bag of Chips Ahoy. read more
