Henry at Computer Chimps is an outstanding resource for my and my wife's business and home computer needs. He helped us upgrade hardware in our four computers (primary and backups). Plus he helped us move our email services from our prior email service provider (emails kept disappearing) who used Google Suite services, to our now current and future email provider Microsoft/Go Daddy. This included transitioning all of these MS-based computers as well as our Apple-based iPhones. Since both of our businesses are dependent on these services being up and available at all times, this transition was critically important to us. Henry pulled it off flawlessly, and if/as issues did pop up, which is always the case with technologies like this these days, he was always "Johnny on the spot" supporting us and fixing whatever oddball thing our setups threw at him. Computer Chimps is top-notch. My second computer monitor screens kept randomly going black, which was irritating. I have an upcoming PowerPoint presentation on Zoom and need help with my computer monitor acting up. Henry quickly diagnosed the problem and told me I needed a new HDMI Video Cable. Henry sent me a photo of the video cable and told me how to attach the cable to the monitor and computer. Henry told me to let him know whether that solved the problem; if it did not, he would come to my location to further investigate it. A little late in writing this, but the review is still the same. I highly recommend using this service! My (refurbished) Dell All-in-One PC crapped out during the Microsoft 11 upgrade and I could see nothing on the PC. I contacted Henry and he immediately started expertly diagnosing the problem over the phone, suggesting a new stand-alone tower PC and separate monitor (as AIO's are useless once the screen dies, a problem other experts agreed on). When he arrived for the service call to look at my old PC (which indeed was toast) and to set up the new PC, he was very clear on what he would provide, how long it would take, what better security measures to use on the new PC, and how to get better results when operating the PC. He retrieved/transferred all my data without any loss. As he worked, he would ask me about what I needed the PC for and guide me on better all-around care. Henry goes above and beyond!! I was in a quandary over the Microsoft upgrade to windows 10......what computer to buy, how much to spend, how to migrate existing data etc etc. I found Henry's website while doing yet another search for help on the upgrade. Long story short. We set up an appointment, Henry brought all the necessary equipment to upgrade my existing computer and migrate all my data, saving me hundreds of dollars and saving the environment by not throwing out an old computer that works just fine! Henry is a true professional and perfectionist . He stays on a problem until it is solved to his satisfaction. And his prices are very reasonable. We hit a major snag when we decided to see if there were any issues in transferring my I-Tunes Library from the desktop to the I-Phone (old model). Again, Henry stayed on the problem until it was 95% resolved (several hours later). We still have a little more work to do,and Henry is coming back. Computer Chimps was a lifesaver for me when my new'ish PC hard drive crashed and burned. Henry arrived on time and got right to work. He used every trick in the book to fix my PC but we finally had to get the manufacturer on the phone for assistance. The first mfg customer service person actually hung up on us when we tried to pursue more in-depth assistance. Later, we got back on the phone with a different CS tech person. Henry worked very well with the mfg over the phone - the CS tech commented that Henry had tried everything the tech could suggest. Everyone finally admitted the PC would need to be returned to vendor for further repairs. Henry definitely went above and beyond the call of duty to help. He had the knowledge and expertise for the job and I will certainly contact him the next time I need assistance with any PC issues. While on a trip my photography business email went down. After literally spending over a cumulative day of my own time, and giving up with Microsoft's support ( 6 days of Microsoft support help with no solution), and having the frustration trying on my own to troubleshoot and fix my Outlook 365 mail problem, Henry fixed the problem in less than 45 minutes! He was an expert on not only Microsoft email and 365 office problems, but traced the issue to a changed server name and domain issue. He then looked over my computer and fixed a couple of other issues in the time remaining and gave me some great tips on security as well. My only regret is at myself for not getting his help from the beginning. He was a great communicator and explained everything in an understandable fashion every step of the way. Henry solved my computer problem and has now become my go-to-guy whenever I run into an issue. I will be calling him for all future repairs. Whenever I had work done before, I had to haul in my Mac Pro tower to the Apple store using a dolly. It is such a monster of a machine--getting it there and back home was a major task. Now it has passed the age where they won't even work on it unless it's just software related. I had to find a new vendor and Henry was one of only two local options. I've known the owner of Computer Chimps for years, and he is the guy I call when I need advice on troubleshooting hardware or network issues. Recently, I had a problem with my PC that caused it to mysteriously shut down after 10 or 15 minutes of use, and then refuse to turn back on. I contacted Computer Chips about two months ago concerning a broken hinge on my HP laptop. Henry was able to help me right away after the initial inquiry, and he was able to diagnose the issue based on pictures and my description without ever seeing the laptop physically. Harry from Computer Chimps worked on my laptop on October 27, 2023 which had serious hard drive and other complicated issues because of which I was not able to use it. As promised, he worked methodically to solve the problems. He is very knowledgeable about his work and explained to me in simple terms what he was doing as he progressed with his work. He had to erase the hard drive, reconfigure it, upload my Microsoft Office Suite, configure my computer for access to my university Outlook Email account, configured my computer to connect to printers(two) and scanners (one), and implemented all settings to safeguard against malicious invasions. I asked Henry to do a memory and hard drive upgrade on a cheap HP laptop that I bought in a pinch. Turns out it wasn't possible to do this work because the BIOS was locked down. Henry informed me of the issue and returned the unit to me the next day, NO CHARGE because he couldn't perform the grade requested! We first contacted Computer Chimps when one of the computers was acting up with display and other issues. Henry called and gathered information then scheduled a time to come out snd run some diagnostics. His service was quick and the computer is running perfectly.
