If I could give Henry/Computer Chimps more than five stars, I would. My first contact with him was several years ago when I called him about a computer issue I was having and he actually answered my question/helped me briefly over the phone, no charge for his time. So naturally, when I needed more detailed, in-home technical help (setting up a new wi-fi network and troubleshooting printer connectivity issues) this time around, he was the first person I contacted. He got back to me right away and set up an appointment just a few days out, and I honestly can't say enough about his professionalism, efficiency, patience, attention to detail, friendliness, availability/accessibility and just overall positive vibe. He solved my main problem, explained all the tech terms to me in basic ways/giving helpful examples that I could understand and answered all of my questions (which I am sure were pretty basic to him) without talking down to me or making me feel dumb for asking him anything. He also took the time to send an extremely detailed follow-up email with a summary of his visit/service notes plus some totally helpful printing recommendations. I also had a follow-up question a couple weeks later related to the same printing issue that I texted him about and he got back to me right away with helpful advice. What a great experience! I have never had the money to invest into a nice computer for myself (that cost more than it would to repair), so when my current computer crashed I was at a loss. I am a student teacher in a local elementary school and in grad school for my masters in special education. Terrible timing! But Henry saved the day, he got me back up and running over the weekend while I was out of town and did everything he could to keep me assured and aware of both the cost and time things were taking. I called Henry because my HP All-in-One computer booted up with the dreaded "blue screen of death". I was so freaked out that I just turned it off and called Henry! He tried some fixes over the phone that didn't work, so he came right over and started working on it. He was able to salvage all of my data, reinstall Windows 10, and now this 6 year old computer works like it just came out of the box! I would have bought a new hard drive or a new computer if Henry had told me to, but he was able to fix everything without putting in new parts. I am so impressed! I wasn't sure I could get my laptop serviced during a pandemic. And, I wasn't sure I wanted to hand it off to a complete stranger I'd never even seen. My poor old Toshiba was not feeling good. So I asked for some cost estimates on Yelp. I was really glad when Henry from Computer Chimps told me he could he could pick up my laptop, do the repair, and return it to me. All of the reviews were so complementary, I felt perfectly okay handing over my laptop. Then I thought I probably won't see it for 2 weeks. But, WoW, It was back in a matter of days. Henry is very personable and conscientious about communication. He didn't make me feel stupid because I can be rather computer illiterate. The price was way lower than I thought it would be. I found Henry on Yelp and he was able to fix my issue for a fraction of the cost the Apple store was going to charge me. My kid's ancient MacBook's WiFi stopped working. The Apple store was going go charge me to replace the logic board & the wifi card- it was almost going to be the cost of a fully new computer (or several chrome books) and clearly wasn't worth it. I contacted Henry via Yelp, he was able to give me a quote to replace the wifi card, picked up my PC from my house and brought it back the next day, fixed, for cheaper than his quote was. I had a laptop with a power port pushed back to the point of unusability. Henry originally said a new part was likely needed to fix it but after taking a look, the part was perfectly fine, it just needed something to hold it in place. So he rigged up something to hold it and now it works perfectly fine. We didn't even need the extra part he ordered and dropped the charge for it! My son purchased a computer from xtopic/MSI and when it arrived it was missing a few keys. When I contacted xtopic and MSI they wanted to charge me 300 dollars to replace keys that were broken when the product was shipped.
