I went here on this past Tuesday, March 22, 2022 to upgrade my son phone to an IPhone 13. I was told by the sales guy named Andres that they didn't have any iPhone 13's in store. He then advised me to go to Bestbuy or the Apple Store to purchase. He also advised me that I can place my order myself online or by phone at home. I left the store and called to place my order myself with Verizon. I was told by the phone Representitive that I can order the phone with him and pay. He then said the phone will be available for pickup at the Verizon store that I was just told that they didn't have any in stock. I advised the representative that I was just told that they were out of stock. He then gave me the colors they had in inventory and how many. Once I placed my order, I received my confirmation number and went back to the same store to pickup my phone. I couldn't believe how I was just lied too for no reason. I immediately asked for the Manager, who was a Mr. German who also lied to me by saying the sales guy was on break, when I saw the sales guy walk out from the back, and when he noticed my son and I, he turned around as if he seen a ghost. I never heard anything from the manager or Verizon, which I did make a formal complaint with corporate, and the BBB. So please don't believe the sale guys at Verizon when they tell you they don't have what you're looking for. read more

This location has been my go to for many years in the past although I try to avoid on weekends etc because it gets too packed I haven't been in for a long tome until recently since I've been ordering my phone online the past few times but I needed to get a few accessories and thought I could go in and repair something on my phone. They don't repair here anymore but staff was helpful on information that I needed to fix my phone . Inside had an upgrade sine I last was in. I saw a ad on tv with Verizon that u can switch your service and get a free IPHONE 3-22 so in April of 2022 I called up Verizon to see about the deal the lady I spoke gave me false information so I went to the Verizon store In Union,NJ to pick up my phone and activate it they gave me paperwork for the phone and no where on the paperwork did it have how long I would pay for the phone in months I had purchased a IPhone in the past and paid it off 1 1/2 yrs I have been paying on IPHONE for a year I called Verizon today 6-4-2023 to find out how much longer before I'm done paying for phone the guy said another 2 yrs I told him no one told me I would have 36 months of payments for IPHONE and I got no paperwork saying that Verizon are nothing but CROOKS.!!!they have always had a bad reputation for not being honest with customers I would not recommend them to my dog for any type of service so BEWARE of anything with Verizon I'm going to contact the Attorney General in NJ for help and the better business as well read more

I was in the store this past Sunday 1/22 with my mother. We went in to try and add a phone line to our plan from a different carrier. We had received some unfortunate news the day before regarding the health of the family member who would be using this line. The associate, Tiago, I can't even say assisted us because from the moment we walked over to him after he called our name he was huffing and puffing and appeared annoyed he had to do his job this day. He proceeded to give short responses to questions on just basic pricing being asked of him. When we asked about if the individual receiving this line were to pass away what happened to the rest of the payment regarding the new phone he replied "it's a contract you need to pay it" again in a very annoyed tone. The associate next to him then explained that was not the correct info. After she then explained what would happened Tiago then felt the need to add in with an attitude "you will need to show proof of death". I have never walked out of a store before or been spoken to in such a rude manner. I would honestly say Tiago may want to work in the stock room where he doesn't have to deal with customers at all since that doesn't seem to carry an ounce of people skills. I completely dislike going to electronic stores because I feel like it takes forever to get the help you need. To top it off, these stores are always trying to make commission off of customers and want to sell you everything. Not this store! For starters, my wait was not as I expected. There seemed to have been about 6-9 ppl ahead of me. I waited about 10 mins before my name was called to be seen. The employee by the name of Kenny was so helpful! I walked in with the intentions of upgrading my phone as long as pricing was right. Kenny was highly attentive! The best part was that he was beyond informative. Regardless of the numerous questions I had, he was able to answer all my questions. His explanation to how the phones were similar and different was right on point. He made sure I was happy purchasing my new phone!! As for add-on items, he physically compared items and helped me pick what best fit for my pockets. One of the only good experiences I've ever had at verizon, Irene was superb and knowledgeable about the different phone specs. She helped us place an online order while we were in the store which allowed us to get a phone that day (they were out but had some in the back saved for online orders). She also found an extra $300 loyalty coupon attached to our account and helped us apply it to our order (which was not a straightforward process). She gave us a printout of the coupon code and told us her schedule so we could come back if there were any issues with the discount processing. Today the representative of this store replaced a sim card for me because my text messages didn't work. Immediately after that Verizon locked my account and sent email with weird text, like I might need to call their fraud prevention team. The store representative left this at my discretion.I did that and the fraud prevention team asked me a lot of personal questions. Then the lady on a phone lied to me (she lied despite her occupation is to prevent the fraud per se). She told that my account is unlocked and I can freely use it. However, the same day I was not able to use the network again. I called Verizon second time, and another representative over the phone told me, that my account is locked again. He said, the previous lady was not satisfied with my answers and locked my account again (while she lied to me that she did unlock the account). read more

Bad customer service and long wait time - you will not be in and out. I called in advance to make sure they had the phone I wanted. I got there and told the sales guy which phone I wanted, he spent 15 minutes trying to convince me I should get a Galaxy instead, even though I wanted a small phone, and which accessories I should buy for the phone. Then he went to get the phone and another 15 minutes later, told me they didn't have anymore. So I asked for him to check if it was available at other stores and then another 15 minutes later, he came back with the phone I requested. I wonder why he couldn't find it in the first place. After not being able to retrieve the contacts from backup assistant myself, I went back in the store and was told to speak to the sales associate. I waited for him but he was assisting another customer so I had to put myself on the waitlist for tech assistance. After another 15 minutes, someone else helped me out. What frustrates me is that there are associates just standing there or walking around who don't care to ask if you need help. They just look away if you make eye contact with them. For as much as we pay for the service, they should at least have better customer service. read more

The associate, Ebrehiem, acted completely inconvenienced by the fact that my brother was unsure. He complained about the fact that he had to walk back and forth. All morning I had been in a panic as I lost my phone in a different state that I live, find my Iphone wasn't working, and I knew there was no getting my phone back. I just got back from a three week vacation and hadn't had the opportunity to back up my photos to my computer yet. I thought they were lost forever. Youniss spent hours with me using every app possible to find and recover my photos and contacts. Terrible customer service by one employee in particular. The employee's name was Omar and he was supposed to be a solution specialist yet did not solve our issue. He wasn't helpful and was talking to us in a condescending tone. If you all offer customer service classes he needs to take them as soon as possible. He wouldn't even let me finish a sentence without cutting me off. Very poor organization. I came in on a Monday at 4pm and like walked around and nobody even greeted me. Like there was a decent amount of people. I would so hate to see what the weekend would be like here. Waited for like 30 Mins for someone to finally help me. And they called a guy that walked in before me. Then Angela! That waste of a human told me "oh you have to sign in " really? Really there isn't even a main counter or a sign that say "sign in " !!! Stop Shame on you!! What a waste. I asked for an iPhone 11 Pro for my wife for the holidays. The woman sold me an iPhone 11 Pro Max. The minimalist Apple marketing means the box has no description beyond the very tiny sticker on the side. So when my wife opened it we realized their error and I returned it. The store manager Brian charged me $50 for taking the plastic wrapper off the box. His "compromise" was to make it $25. What an utter rip off. I prefer to use the local stores to support the local economy. Well, that won't include Verizon anymore. I also heard many other tales as I waited in que to switch the phone and pay my additional $50 for the correct phone. The promised $25 credit? I have not heard from them. Even though I was promised a call and follow up that day. I guess I have to chase that now. Awful customer service! Avoid! As to Verizon's canned response below, you can refund me the $50. If you actually stand by your stated goal. I have my doubts. I still have not even heard from the store manager about the $25, as was promised. read more

1 hour and 45 minutes. That's how long it took for my family to upgrade a basic phone onto another basic phone. The customer service was mediocre and lacked the sense of initiative of getting the customer in and out at the quickest time. While the workers were easy-going and polite, these qualities are highlighted through their slow service - carefree and a "deer in the headlights" look when they encounter a problem, only to a fault of their own. This store almost charged $150 for a basic phone (I repeat a basic phone) that was available for FREE on the Verizon website for pick up. That store, which holds the phone in stock, failed to align their offers to the offers on the website. What happened? I had to use a tablet in the store to order the phone and schedule it for pick up at the store. After that hurdle, their customer service representative almost charged us a final wrong amount because of their manual error when tinkering with their computer system. As my family and I stared at them, there was no initiative - their body language exudes "this poor service is okay, you'll just wait, it happens." To top it off, the customer service representative took literally 30-45 minutes to activate the phone and to transfer 10 pictures and 20 contacts. I felt I could have done it manually at a quicker speed. A customer service that is not customer-focused. The slowness and the lack of initiative to get the customer in and out ASAP are reasons why I will never come back to buy a phone or accessories. Let me preface this review by saying I'm a HUGE tech geek and phone-head. Women have their purses, shoes, and handbags; guys have their Nike collections + jerseys....I love phones. I get bored of them quickly, don't keep the same one longer than 6 months, and sell them to use the money to get a new cell phone (I keep them in PRISTINE condition). With that being said, ANY Verizon Wireless store that has me as a customer will BE USED to my face in the store...it's just a given. I've been going to the Verizon on Route 22 as long as I can remember. The staff working there are nothing but extremely courteous, kind, and willing to help with ANY need or concern whenever I come in. They've put up with my exchanges and returns of devices, accessories, technical service questions, and add-ons with a smile. I've actually gotten to know the people who work there very well to the point where when I come in, they ALL know my name and we can hang and bullshit about life for quite some amount of time. It's never TOO crowded at VZW on 22, unless you go on a SATURDAY AFTERNOON --- BAD MOVE. You will wait a dog's age for some service...but that isn't as a result of poor management at the store, just the rapid influx of people who come in on Saturdays. Hours are pretty standard -- 10 am-9 pm, extended an hour on Sundays until 7 pm. I always like coming here because I KNOW whatever I'm in need of will get taken care of, NO QUESTION. The workers are plenty, they are productive, and they'll make SURE you leave with your issues being solved. read more

We were prepared for an absolute let down after viewing all of the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. Came in on a crowded Sunday afternoon, checked in and expected a long wait time. A nice young man, Dewan helped us today, wait time of about 5 minutes. We were getting a new line added to our account, we knew what phone we wanted and we were switching from another provider - it took longer for us to get our account info from the other provider than anything else, we had him waiting on us! He offered us the edge plan, but we declined and he didn't try to up sell us anything. Set up of phone and payment were also a breeze. We just had to make sure the phone was activated and could receive a call before we left the store. Overall time spent in the store - maybe 40 minutes. So no complaints on our part, excellent customer service provided. read more

I mentioned this and the guy said sometimes the online deals are different any they cant match it. You can't match the price on your own website? He told me if I didn't want to pay the extra price I should just order it online. He wasn't rude, but that was his solution. So, I left and called another Verizon store. They had the phone and in their location it was the same $200 as it is online. The guy at the counter when I got there didn't understand why this store would charge more. The staff here are terrible. Trust me. We came here because my daughter wanted to take advantage of the "FREE iphone 6 offer". For starters, we called in advance to make sure they had the iphone 6 in stock. The automatic greeting started by saying the iphone 6 and 6plus are here in-store and online. So we hung up and didn't wait to speak with someone. What kind of company would have an automatic greeting like that if it weren't the case? Well, you guessed it. Verizon Wireless is that company. Needless to say, my teenage daughter was quite upset. But the "greeter" in the store was able to get her past it by telling her she can still place the order and then return her current iphone4 via mail. OK, my daughter was willing. So we put her name on the waiting list so we could go ahead and order the iphone6. We waited about 30 minutes. The sales representative was totally rude and had such attitude when we told her what we were there for. She said we could not place the order in the store unless we were going to hand in her current device right now. Really? Why in the world would we do that? Who would go without having their device with them to use? Who knows how long it would take to get the new device? The "greeter" told us we could mail in the current device when the new device arrived. Well apparently that wasn't so. So we walked out. Upset. Confused. Angry. Nevertheless, as soon as we got home we went online to order the iphone 6 via this trade-in deal. No matter what we do, the shopping cart keeps indicating that we owe about $650. CRAZY. We expected to have to pay the $200 that would be "reimbursed" to us via a Verizon gift card. Which, by the way, the "greeter" told us it is a Verizon Visa card. Again, not so. It is only redeemable at Verizon Wireless for other devices, accessories, or to pay a Verizon Wireless bill. So it's not really a FREE promo. Verizon Wireless still gets the $200 or so in one way or the other. And it's out of our pocket. I'm so angry right now that I feel like I'm not communicating clearly. But I felt like I had to let others know so they don't have to get the run-around like we did. We WILL NOT go back to this store. read more

Most of their employees have an awful attitude and do not even know how to do their job. The Westfield location is a completely different story. DO NOT GO HERE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I just had the WORST customer experience ever at this store! After working completely fine, my cell phone (which I've had for barely six months) would not turn on (and yes, it was charged). My husband & I went into the Verizon store to see if they could help. The employee (I wish I had gotten her name!) basically tried to turn it on and when it wouldn't told me there was nothing else she could do but order me a refurbished phone that would take 2 days to arrive unless I paid extra for shipping. They didn't try anything else to fix it, didn't offer any other way to help, and looked at me like I was too annoying to even deal with. My husband & I left in disbelief. Meanwhile, when we got home we called Verizon customer service and spoke to 2 amazing representatives over the phone who tried many ways to fix the phone, apologized when they couldn't, and waived the shipping fee so that I can have my phone for work tomorrow. In the era of online, I am conscious of trying to support the brick & mortar stores. However, this is one store I will NEVER support again! read more

I would not recommend going anywhere near this store. Customer service was deplorable. I had been to the store three times previously. I did all of the paperwork, to discover that they did not have the phone that I wanted in stock. They said that it would be in the store the next day. It wasn't. It wasn't there the day after that either. When I came back several days later I discovered that all of the information and that was supposed to be available from my previous visit had somehow disappeared. I had to do it all over again. The fellow who help me was nice enough, but truly acted like he didn't know what he was doing. He was on his iPad for two hours typing in, I don't know what. The employees were frantically running from the front of the store to the back of the store. The whole experience was so unnerving. This is a top store New Jersey and the country?It deserves nothing less than to be shut down.
