I switched as soon as Planet was available after one too many issues and price increases from Optimum over 17 years. The install was a breeze and the techs were top notch going over every detail of my setup. When I didn't want to use their equipment he said that's ok but he also left me the router they supply, it was labeled where I would need to make connections and then he wrote his name and number on the box in case I needed to switch it quickly. When my router went out late one night, instead of scheduling an appointment and waiting they connected me up in a few minutes. When a part of my system failed (POE) and I talked with tech support they decided they needed to dispatch a tech. It took longer than I had excepted and hoped so when I called back to get an ETA the Support Manager located the part I was waiting on and personally drove it to my home. This is not something someone else told him, he took action because he cared about his customers. The company may not have the polish of a big company like Optimum but they shine like no other because off the nice, caring and hard working people who work at Planet Network. read more

I was very excited about getting fiber after bad experiences here and in NYC with spectrum. unfortunately we are now having our first outage and it's only been 2 weeks. Whats worse: zero tech support. I just ... have no internet. Totally unacceptable to not have 24/7 tech support. if they say they have it on their site they are lying. it's actually worse than no tech support. some of the many numbers on their site, you call them and get put on hold indefinitely. why can't they just prompt you to leave a message so you don't waste your life on their garbage product? read more

So for the second time workers disconnected out planet network line. This was on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago. I immediately called, explained the situation. I thought we would be without internet, television and phone service all weekend, but a technician arrived at our house an hour later and before noon, service was up and running. You know that would not have happened with the other options out here. I am so grateful and cannot say enough good things about this company. Do not hesitate to make the change. WOW!!!! What a fantastic experience. Ordered service in Stillwater. My tech, Matt, was on time, curtious, and knowledgable; he left the the outside and inside of my house clean & neat. Everyone I have dealt with at Planet Networks has been friendly and professional. I was a Service Electric customer for many years, they did a decent job. Recently moved into a house and had the option for Planet Networks or Optimum. The neighbors highly recommended Planet Networks, so after a brief conversation on the phone with them we decided to sign up for their service. Everyone has been so pleasant over the phone and answers all my questions with care. I wired my house with new ethernet and needed someone to come out and connect the ending to the modem outside. They were able to come out on a Sunday with no questions asked. After getting hooked up and running some speed tests we notice significantly lower speeds than expected. My service rep Matt was not satisfied with that. He noticed the ethernet cable I ran wasn't the highest quality so we tested with a different cable which worked perfectly. After he replaced the cable we were all setup with no hassle and full speeds! Matt is a life saver! And was very communicative and respectful. Would definitely recommend this company! read more

What a great experience. After the frustration of beyond awful customer service of the cable company it has wonderful dealing with Planet. A nice knowledgeable clean local installer came out was at the house on time. i need to have some range extenders installed, No charge and they will come out and do install to make sure they work properly. cable company would have charged me and told me to install myself. Internet has pretty much stopped working in the house since switch. All my Amazon Alexa and smart home devices no longer can communicate with each other. When I spoke to customer service they pretty much told me I can't use those things with planet networks...... read more

Wow! Is the only way to describe the service from Planet Networks. Not only the quality of the Internet service but the quality of customer service is extraordinary. I've had their fiber Internet for several months and I am beyond happy. It seems that every contact with a Planet Networks employee is a positive experience. They go above and beyond in so many ways it's clearly a sign of the company culture and in stark contrast to any other ISP or Carrier that I've ever dealt with, and that's a lot. I called with a somewhat unusual request related to my work from home needs, to my surprise I received a call back from the owner of the company, I was shocked. He was very technically savvy, a great guy to talk to, and offered me a way to address my needs without selling me additional services. After that conversation I quickly realized where the company culture comes from. If I was at a different stage in my career, I'd be trying to get a job with Planet, that's the kind of impression they leave! Planet Networks is a breath of fresh air in Sussex County and can be considered a role model business to the other shady utilities and 'businesses' that are shelled here. Their main competitor, Service Electric / Cablevision, before we moved and also during our temporary residence location, still ran a very mediocre internet service with absolutely no compensation or reimbursement to the customer for those randomly intermittent periods of downtime. I haven't experienced any such disruption with Planet Network whatsoever. The installation was very prompt (about a week from my recollection), and didn't involve any type of scammy 'installation cost' that Service Electric required, and I worked with them to have the fiber and cat6 cables installed to a reasonable location on the utility side of the new house. While 'shopping' for internet service, their advertised speed was about 180 megabit download for $60/mo, and I was pleasantly surprised to see we were actually receiving 200 megabit downloads. As of this review, PN has again upgraded the service to 250 megabit down and up, for the same price. And I see Planet Networks trucks on the road just about every day, so they are investing in upgrades, which couldn't be said about Service Electric / Cablevision throughout the 13 year span I was their customer. Let's hope Planet Networks keeps up with being a good service utility provider! read more
