I went in there today with my Apple Watch, which is has insurance on trying to get a new one and would not give me one. They said they couldn't do it. My wife and I went in to upgrade my phone - sales associate Quinton was very impatient with us when we asked for clarification on price / charges he was applying. When we asked for a visual of what was happening he rushed through on his phone's calculator. They have screens at their stations so I'm not sure why they don't show your account and what they are doing on them. What prompted this review is he had us sign up for some of the free trials and add-on insurance coverage with auto-renewals despite us declining both on multiple occasions. My guess is they are incentivized to get people to sign up for these trials. He said we could just text him and he would make sure everything got cancelled out before the auto-renewal - a couple weeks later we hadn't logged in to any of the free trials he signed us up for so wanted to make sure we cancelled ahead of the auto-renewal- I texted him 3 times and called him twice without any response. Had to call in to customer service to get everything removed. I didn't realize he also applied an upgraded hotspot service to our account so am thankful I called in. The rep on the phone was nice but legitimately considering moving our family plan to AT&T based on the experience. read more

Verizon is a mess. They keep charging me for things that I returned. They charged me for service I never used. I've called several times and they told me it would be straightened out Every call takes about an hour, then transferred from one person to the other Nobody there knows what they're doing And then, after you spend so much time and effort talking to somebody there over and over they still charge you after they say they won't. read more

5 stars for Kia from this location!! I checked the deals online before going in to have an idea of what was out there. I wanted two phone upgrades and to add a line. Kia got out a paper and pen and worked the math on every option plus a few . Certain deals were the best on line and she helped me to do the order online and pick up in store, on certain phones she was able to beat the online deal. She even called to get approval when the computer wouldn't allow her to get a certain discount. This is service you can't get online. I was at the store 3 hours!!! She worked to get us the best every minute we were there. Also, this IS a corporate location, otherwise they have to call themselves an "authorized dealer". While I was there an older won an game in asking for help , she said she had been at 3 other Verizon's that did nothing for her and this was the best service she received, I believe it. I chose that location due to proximity to my apartment and I was very disappointed.. The guy who's name is Serge was assisting me and I didn't like his attitude. I didn't see any sign of appreciation having me as a customer, more over some times I felt like his majesty was doing me a favor. Then the other guy was trying to start a little chit-chat with me but I felt like he was following some instructions.. I mean the way he asked me what do I do for living seemed like he was doing some formal questionnaire. After that I saw him talking to a police officer who was clearly not in a chatting mood and the guy wouldn't stop.. Oh man.. When you start a chat with a customer either make them believe you are genuinely interested or just leave it.. Part of the reason I went there was the idea that this suburb should have enough parking, that wasn't true. This is not a corporate store. I had a problem with my phone and jetpack and wanted to return the jetpack since I could not get service at our farm. I also wanted to exchange the A20 Samsung phone to a A50 Samsung phone. This exchange was 4 days after purchase. I was told at this store there would be a $50 restocking fee for each. I thought that was excessive. I was told to take it up with customer care. This has been a nightmare ever since October 17. Customer care from online chats to phone calls have been extremely difficult. Promises are not kept calls not returned. I wanted a address to a corporate office headquarter this is not possible, there is no such place. Be warned even a corporate store has limited access to help. A private store is worse. I have been a Verizon customer for over ten years. I went into this store today, because my new phone I just purchased was not charging correctly. So I was told to bring in the charger. The guy behind the counter was extremely rude with an attitude. I just grabbed my stuff and went to the manager. I spent hundreds at this store just a month ago. This kind of behavior needs to stop. Terrible. Rude to their own phone support. Wanted to charge $49 for a screen protector that cost $10 at another store. When i called Verizon, they called them to inquire and the guy said they basically hung up on him. We were here a year or so ago, literally waited 45min in a nearly empty store before we left. I bought a new phone at this location last week. The salesperson sold me a screen protector partly by saying he would put it on because he can do it perfectly. I got home and realized it wasn't 100 percent centered. When I went back, I was told that they are not supposed to put on screen protectors and they couldn't fix it. They would give me a new one and I could do it myself. I don't want to do it myself, that was one of the selling points. Then, today, I realized the salesperson put the protector on OVER the plastic film the phone comes with. Now that is peeling and the protector is not actually on the screen. Never go here. read more

Updated as this level of service is long gone. The past 4+ times I've been here the expectation is a 30-60 min minimum process no matter what the issue. Today I went in to purchase a phone - already knew exactly what I wanted. All they had to do was look up my account. One hour later I'm finally leaving - and they've set it up wrong so now I have to go back again as I now have no phone at all. So this will be at least a 2 hour experience. Yay. The customer service was exceptional when I first started going to this store about two years ago....when I returned last few times, I see new faces and not sure what changed but yes, they were speaking non work related business while helping customers and the standard of professional customer service has definitely decreased... I'm not sure what changed, but myself being a manager, it always starts at the top. I've "tried" many times to give this place a chance with customer service, but every time I go in here, I end up being spoken to like an idiot who doesn't know anything about technology and am met with a attitude of utmost lethargy and arrogance. The gentlemen who was helping us was unclear, and clearly didn't give two craps about what we were paying for or signing up for. He just simply stood there and stared at us. The manager here is awful. He was putting down the information that I received from a Premium Verizon Wireless Retailer that he referred to as a "dealer", when ironically this Premium Retailer is on the Verizon Wireless website. He was raising his voice, sticking his index finger in my face, and talking to me like I was a child. The prices he quoted me for a new phone were completely off from the Premium Retailer that I ended up going to. Had this guy not been the manager, I would have been asking for the manager to complain. I feel bad for the associates who have to work underneath such a pompous, uneducated, unprofessional man [and I refrain from what I would really like to call him]. Not only was he rude in his demeanor, but he had information that was completely off-base and was not willing to even discuss in an appropriate manner with me. I ended up going to the Premium Retailer who not only exhibited incredible customer service, but sure enough provided me with a BRAND NEW I-PHONE 5 S at a lower price. The manager at this store assured me that I would be getting a refurbished, used, phone and he was 100% in-correct. He brought out a phone and demonstrated that the retailer must 'break the seal' to open the phone. While he thought he was defending his company, he was really bashing his counter-parts at another location. Do not go here if you want to be treated with respect, patience, and kindness. If I could put no stars I would. I have been to this location and several times and have always received terrible service. I switched from t mobile and with that switch I got a new phone along with other things. Within two weeks my phone was not working. I came back to the store and asked about a warranty and they told me that there was none and sent me to a cell phone repair shop. However, when my phone broke a second time I was told that I did have a warranty, but by taking it to a repair shop it voided the warranty. The car charger I bought from them also broke in a week. When I asked about getting my own account that staff didn't even know what plans they offered. If u have Verizon run! T mobile was more expensive, but their staff knew what they were doing and their stuff didn't break in a week. This is by far the worst phone experiensive I have had. read more

I tried going to the Lincolnwood location and the staff wasn't as friendly and the wait was too long. However, at the Skokie location, Eddy the store manager was very helpful and attentive. Great service and very helpful. I was waiting for a replacement pixel phone for two months because it was back ordered, and when it finally arrived it was the pixel XL. I called customer service to see if I could exchange in store to avoid another wait and they said yes. Went to a Verizon store in Bucktown and they said it was impossible to exchange it in store even after I explained customer service told me I could. They didn't look up my account or even try, just dismissed my issue and said I had to mail it back. Called customer service again to verify and went to the Lincolnwood location, was helped right away and they were able to make the exchange. They even put on my case and cover for me. This Verizon location is incredible. I just recently signed up with Verizon and was having a huge problem with my Galaxy S5. Been with Verizon for a long time, ten years and Verizon on Touhy is the worst store I've been to. They weren't busy, there were four guys standing behind the counter watching me. Wasid was rude to me AND his associate, Joshua, who was trying to help me. Joshua didn't know the difference between an iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s, or what they could transfer from my old phone to my new phone. Finally, I asked if he could make a phone call to place an order for me and he lit up and said he could definitely help me with that. We go the counter and Wasid tells me they can't do that. Joshua and I are confused. Joshua tries to explain to him that he simply wants to use the phone to place a verizon order, and Wasid asks him "how do you expect to do that?" Confusion. Joshua looks at me with his face crumpled. Wasid's attitude had changed from indifferent to aggressive for no reason I understood. Joshua tells me the phone number I need to place the order myself and I leave. read more

I know it can be a little disconcerting trying to come into a Verizon store especially if you are having an issue with your phone or are trying to resolve a problem. I had to come into the store because my phone had been stolen by a student. It was terribly inconvenient and nerve wracking, but Ali the sales associate made sure to take his time with me and explain all of my options thoroughly. I have noticed a few reviews pertaining to the wait time at this store. The best things comes to those who wait and have patience. Choosing the right phone and plan for you takes time. DO NOT come to a store if you are in a rush. That is common sense. It leaves both parties at a disadvantage. It is simply because they are there to give you their best customer service.
