Super rude manager. Arrogant and only wanted to make a sale. Riled his eyes and had a major attitude

After inserting my non Verizon sim the phone was showing the carrier as Verizon which meant That the phone was not unlocked. I told the seller that I would purchase the phone but not for The agreed upon price to which he knocked off $10. I went online and found Cellular World Connect less than 5 miles from my home. I called and a gentleman picked up and I proceeded to tell him my predicament and I was told to bring the phone in and he would take a look at it and if he could not unlock it he would not charge me anything. My son and I drove to the store and the young man behind the counter took the phone and stated that it could take up to half an hour and would we like to come back or did we want to wait, we opted to wait. In less than 20 minutes he came out with the iphone and proceeded to insert a non verizon sim card and lo and behold it read the non verizon sim card. I only had my credit card with me and when I proceeded to pay with it he stated cash only, I told him that was all I had and that I can leave the phone with him and bring the cash later in the evening or tomorrow. He stated that I can take the phone and bring the money tomorrow. We drove home to get the cash and went wack to pay him within the hour. the iphone is unlocked working perfectly on all non verizon carriers as well as International sim cards. Thank you guys very much, great and speedy service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT !!!

I live in Rogers Park so it was about a twenty-two minute drive for me without the expressway but you could easily hop on the highway and get there in even less time. Also, it's accessible by Skokie Swift and pace buses and located on a major street, Dempster. I stopped by and spoke to Noor- he took my phone and accessed the damage. He said it would cost $40 to replace and that he could have it complete in an hour. Noor took my phone number down and said he would call me as soon as it was done. The damage to my phone was extremely bad but Noor assured me that it was a quick and easy repair. The place itself is very clean and there is a parking lot for customers. Noor called me to tell me that they were swamped with work and that he could have the phone ready for the next day. I genuinely appreciated the follow up and told him that it would be no problem! I came in the next day, paid Noor and picked up my phone! He even threw in a free cover my screen and offered me a three months warranty. Pretty amazing if you ask me! This is what makes small business so incredible- they go out of their way to make your experience memorable and impactful. I would HIGHLY recommend getting your phones, iPads, whatever repaired here!

On 9/4/17 we called AT&T to replace one of our family phones. The phone rep said "we can make this a buy one get one free if you subscribe to Directv - plus we can reduce your monthly mobile bill by $100". Sounded good, so we bought Directv and a new iPhone - but we never got the free iPhone nor the $100 monthly savings. Since then we've spent almost nine hours speaking with various phone reps and supervisors in the "Retention" department. Only one rep, Anna-Lisa White, was honest and transparent with us. We learned that the salesperson on 9/4/17 failed to register us for the BOGO, didn't tell us it was going to expire ten days later and probably falsified the offer of $100 monthly savings. In fact he increased our monthly bill by upgrading us to an unlimited data plan. Nobody in "Retention" was willing or able to rectify the situation. We suggested numerous times that someone listen to the 9/4/17 phone call "recorded for quality assurance" but no one has. We can imagine that the original person is a rogue employee, but it seems crazy that no one will lift a finger to fix the mess he created. We were told, however, that if we quit, AT&T would charge us about $800 in early termination fees. In other words: "We don't have to live up to our promises, sir - but you do." This has been so maddening that it's indeed tempting to just pay the fees and switch carriers after decades with AT&T. Or just accept that we got tricked into buying Directv and wait two years to switch carriers.
