OK, so I'm visiting the area and got a replacement Phone via insurance after looking around Google and yelp reviews in Colleen, Verizon Customer Service and confirmed that this is the only company store in the Tracy Modesto Manteca area I called to ask a few questions mainly about activating my replacement phone and I got Roberto. He was professional and friendly. Do we have a pleasant informative phone call About an hour later, I had another question and called it happen to get David the store manager and found him to be very friendly and helpful and professional on that phone call as well and from my phone call with him I made an appointment the following day, which would be yesterday, Friday to get help I politely asked to have someone who is very knowledgeable and with local personality you set me up with Joe and while I'm sure no doubt they have many good people. I look forward to going in to get help with my phone activation, especially because I had an unfortunate situation in the past where some data was lost so I really value getting help in person in a competent store with someone nice and effective Upon arriving I was greeted. I signed in the store was pretty busy. I'll be at a small store.. Had a very reasonable weight until Joe came out to help me and he was just really top shelf great personality genuinely friendly and he had some insight to my needs from my appointment but he asked me what's going on and what I can say is he really cares if the opposite of transactional with Joe and he's very knowledgeable my activation of a new phone and transferring all data is a process took about an hour roughly and several times he would juggle to help another person because this is just a nature of the industry and this is OK, but he would come back and check in. Let me know where things are at and towards the end had a chance to actually talk with him while he was wrapping up my transaction. Top shelf very knowledgeable super genuinely friendly just awesome. Really cool guy will help you with your phone needs simultaneously. lol I told him all of this and I thanked him. I had hoped to put a face with the voice on the phone with David. Unfortunately he wasn't available during my time at his store. I think this is very important. The reviews are a bit polarizing. There's like one and two star reviews four and five star reviews this day and age with the retail consumer. We have to look at the negative reviews and you know maybe read between the lines how credible are they? I thought this the night before I went in and before I talked with Roberto and David on the phone respectively. While I was in the store being helped, I observed many other Verizon reps helping customers with various needs in my honest sense was there's a very strong Customer Service culture in this store in my humble opinion I have plenty of time by myself during this process, the transferring of all the data takes time, but I saw a lot of reps providing great customer service a great energy engaged with their customers and I think it's really important to share this in this review. I think there's a lot of people working really hard that are happy in this store because of the leadership from David. I chatted briefly with an employee hoping David was available but he was on a conference call but I had a rep say I thought about going to another store four months ago or this store but because of David, I came here so just wanna say thanks to the whole staff from top to bottom a great experience my phone's working great I love it. Why did I wait so long to use the insurance? Oh I thought about upgrading to the 17 Pro Max that burnt orange is really bad ass lol but I spent 100 bucks and I love my 11 Pro Max and saving money Anyways, do yourself a favor go to the store I think there's a lot of great reps here. I went in there to see if they could fix my charging issue. The service man asked what he could help me with. I told him I was having an issue with my charging. He interrupted me, believing it was a connection issue. When I tried to explain, he ask me if I charge it every night. I explain that when gets to 20 percent or less. He advised me that it is a battery issue and should only charge for an hour at a time and not overnight as it could destroy the battery. I explained that I couldn't put the charger into the port and advise me to go some place else where they could fix it. it was likely a dust bunny just inside of the port. I ask if they could fix it and once more said to go some place else. I felt disrespected and brush off. i felt that i was bothering him. read more

I'm shocked that Verizon doesn't have a direct line to the store! If I wanna ask a question without having to drive all the way down to a store how am I supposed to do that?! The number listed on the maps is an automated service that can't properly register my responses it's extremely frustrating to talk to. After I got through the system the female representative was very kind and first and then she got an attitude and was snarky with me! I hate to leave a bad review for the store but this is what the company wants to do for customers trying to inquire about something then this is where I have to leave my grievances. read more

Just terrible service. I went in to purchase some phones outright. I even called customer service 800 number before hand to ensure that this is possible and availability of the phones. When I walked in today and waited about 30 minutes, I was told that this is not possible. Pretty much, that they want to sell you a plan or make money with their financial institution. I've had trouble with Xfinity/Comcast over the years. But Joe at the Modesto office, looked at my plan a found me a better deal. He fixed the ongoing issues that I previously experienced on the account as well. He really looked out for me even when he could have left everything alone at the old rate. Hit a little bump in the road but wasn't their fault it was when we had to call Verizon and switch plans (2 hours on the phone with them) but Damian was super patient with us. I have been frustrated with my phone service on Sprint, but only in Manteca, especially where I live. I have a mobile hotspot with Verizon, and I've been considering switching to a phone with Verizon service. It's better, but not great, either. It feels as though it's becoming overloaded. After seeing the horrible reviews of the Verizon reseller in Manteca, I came to Modesto. There was a greeter taking names, and asking what kind of service people needed. He was pleasant. He informed me that there would be a 10-15 minute wait. At such time as there was an associate to talk to me, he came to get me. He introduced me to Manuel Youkhaneh, and left us to talk. I explained my situation to Manuel, and he listened. He showed me the new iPhone 6 and explained about the new leasing plans. Then, he talked about service. When he told me that I could get 6 GB of data for $120, I balked. That is an extra $40 per month, and I would be getting potentially less data, as I have an unlimited account with Sprint. I thought that they'd be wanting me to add my phone. It didn't seem that way. However, I'd already done some research on the web site, and I asked him about the 12GB 15 GB plan, that would be $40 cheaper with just 1 GB fewer. "Oh, yes, why didn't I think of that? That would be $160." At the end, I told him that I'd have to think about it, and asked if he got commission. He did. I felt as though he was trying to get more commission out of me, by offering me a higher-priced plan. read more

I went and got the new IPhone today , pretty easy process as I ordered off app and it was easy. The customer service towards me was okay, but not friendly at all. What baffled me was how the security guard and employees treated 2 different elderly people that needed help. The way they talked down to them was baffling, and very hard to watch. read more

The kids working in this store are useless. I purchased three iPhones about a year and a half ago from Verizon. Of my iPhones that I purchased belong to my son and it almost immediately started swelling at the battery. We did not have insurance on the phone so they would not cover anything after the one year manufactures warranty went up. I was told by another Verizon store that I could not trade The phone due to the condition of the battery. This Verizon store in the mall in Modesto told me that they would trade the phone in. I purchased the new Verizon iPhone 15 with a renewal of our policy for that specific phone. I was excited to work with them and I felt like they really did me a solid favor. after sitting in the store for about four hours dealing with the order I went home. I came back a week later to submit my trade and phone to get the credit on my account. the female that was sitting in the Verizon store on 1 August 2024 was completely disrespectful and useless. She first directed me to the Apple Store in the mall to deal with removing the find me signal off my destroyed phone because we could not turn it on. She would not let me leave the phone with her for the credit without removing this feature from the phone. I took the phone to Apple and they directed me to use my other device to remove this. Find me app from the destroyed phone. Because my son created a new password and iCloud account I could not access his phone or remove the Find My app from his original original phone. The employee at Verizon, which was assisting me had me sitting in the store with my four toddlers and my wife trying to figure out our username and password to remove this feature for 2 1/2 hours going towards the end of her shift and then she tells us 15 minutes before the end of our shift after she goes in the back that our account is locked and we have to wait 24 hours and try to log back into that iCloud account belongs to My Son before we can remove the Find My feature. I cannot say I am very surprised with this experience because Verizon for the last 15 years has been a complete living hell to work with when you are a act customer that has a account with them. I would not recommend going to the store or doing business with them, especially the younger individuals. And take everything with the grain of salt because odds are there full of shit and they're trying to rip you off and they're not gonna work with you, you sign that paperwork and give them their initial payment. By the way Apple is overrated and a waste of money half the time. They do not even sell US cell phone with a phone charger. Or a case to protect it. read more

My mother visited the store a couple days ago to get help with her new iPhone she just purchased. The manager of the store went above and beyond to help her transfer data, showed her how to use her new phone, hooked up her new phone to her car etc. He spent over an hour helping her and she also noticed all the other staff was friendly/helpful to the customers they were working with. So, as some close to me already know, I ditched my iPhone obsession of over 10 years. Things were going swimmingly until Apple enticed me to upgrade to the pitiful iPhone X but I had it, no more, Team Andriod all the way! Well, to be honest, my boyfriend also helped with that decision after seeing how well his Samsung Galaxy Note Tab 8 worked. I happily sauntered into Verizon with one mission in mind, to go back to the Android home I should've stayed with all those years ago! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the host and put on the list to get my Samsung on! I think I waited less than 5 minutes or so before the tech found me and brought me over to the counter to get the switch done. He was friendly, efficient and didn't up-sell anything I didn't already want. He also was able to get my conversion done in what seemed like a record amount of time. I was also pleased that I didn't have to pay too much out of pocket to make this happen either! I bought the new iPhone 10x or whatever the new version is these days. I had it for a few months. And I have never had so many dropped calls. Internet drops about 6-10 times per day. And when I call people, if they do not answer, my phone will act like it picks up and goes to their voicemail. But it never does. The time starts counting as if I were on the phone with them. And after about 15 seconds it just disconnects. I showed these problem to the Verizon employee. They said that if they were to exchange it, I would only get a used phone as a replacement. The girl who was helping me even told me that her iPhone 10, her brothers and many customers are having the exact same issues. If so many people are having this same problem.m, then apple or Verizon needs to allow for a lemon law return policy. These phones these days are over $1,000 dollars. $1,400 to be exact. And your telling me that if they sell me a lemon, then they will only give me a used phone as a replacement? That is ridiculous!!! SCAMMMM!!!! The phone industry has become crooks. The prices they charge is outrageous. And they build them to have issues here and there so that we have to spend more in repairs. Something needs to be done about this problem. But where do you go. First off store is understaffed, waits are very long. I had ordered a iphone on line from Verizon and requested that the phone be shipped to the store for pickup. I was to wait for an email alerting me that the phone was available for pickup. Never received an email, called Verizon and they stated the iphone was at the store ready for pickup. I went to the store and was told that the order was cancelled due to the fact that I did not pick up the phone within 4 days. I told them that this was impossible as I never received your email stating that the iphone was ready. The employees were very defensive and told me that it was my fault and if I wanted to reorder I could wait and at that time the wait was over an hour. I recently went to this Verizon store to determine what was wrong with my Galaxy S6's charging. Their solution was to have me buy a charging case (which they didn't have on hand of course). We ordered, I paid and a few days later it came in. It didn't fit my phone (or the one the salesperson had, giving credence to the rumor that as much as 35% of imported good are substandard). He re-ordered the device and told me that it would be in by the next Monday or Tues. I returned late Tuesday to be promptly checked in, and then left standing for quite a while. When I finally pressed the salesperson as to what was going on, she said that it "wasn't there" and they would track it down. This would have made a fourth trip across town, which I was unwilling to do. (I wasn't willing to have it sent to my home as we living in Modesto, a toilet in which criminals commonly follow the UPS and FedEx trucks to grab packages.) I then got a message from the sales rep saying the following: "+1408599XXXX:Good Evening David, This is XXXX from Verizon wireless Just wanted to let you know your card ending on 3562 has been refunded $53.92 for the charging case return. 8:18 PM" My response: "Me:Thank you XXXX. I will buy from Amazon in the future. The only thing you folks had to sell was your service - which in this case didn't even come close to getting it right. Good luck keeping your jobs as poorly run brick and mortar establishments are closing by the dozens. 8:29 PM" Her response: "+1408599XXXX:Wow that's not necessary. Clearly they don't care to get new customers. I was told I will NEVER get an account with Verizon because my identity from my CA drivers license wasn't sufficient. Possibly the worst showcase of salesmen and woman. I've never tried so hard to buy a phone I already sold myself on. Day 1...walked in to get my phone and approached by young lady. No smile, or welcoming attitude. Tell her what I want and I proceed to demo the phone. Asked a simple question about features and couldn't give me one good answer. Then walks away to receive a call. While waiting I walked out. Sad. Day 2....walked in for the pixel which released few days prior. Approached by fairly gracious woman, again no smile or interest. Start to ask her about the phone and wanted to see some features. Said it's new she doesn't know about it. Couple more questions she couldn't answer. While I'm playing with the phone she walks away to the pile of workers by front desk...mind you all I want is information I already know, I was sold before I got there. So I turn and leave. Simple hospitality and a smile the phone was practically sold. No product knowledge. Management is sorely to blame. I didn't need a red carpet, but simply a sell!! These salesman are weak, incompetents who carry iPads to simplify their lives but are still worthless. Sales training classes are desperately needed. They couldn't sell a hotdog at a fair to starving Carnegie's. Goodluck to those kids; hopefully they learn because it's a long future for them. Once again Service from this store is Aweful! I had broke my new phone so i wanted to activate my old phone, till my new phone was repaired. the old SIM card did not work. so i had to drive to this store to get a new SIM card. After waiting 20 or so Mins, I was called and I explained what Tech-support told me to do. The guy was not only rude, He put a new card in. told me to firer up the phone and wait 5 mins. But what came next made me mad. As i was waiting for my phone to firer up. he told me to leave! I was done. So I left the store and went home. (20 min drive. ) After getting home. the phone still did not finish. so i had to call tech-support again and they fix the problem. Seems like this store has a very bad outlook. I have been there 3 times now and always leave unhappy. I wish Verizon would come in and do a little training on how to treat people. Plus! as i was waiting. I noted that they play around a lot there. Not very professional. After owning my own buss, and managing districts all my working career. I rarely see places run as bad as this store. This review is with an incident that occurred a year pre-covid in 2019 that I am still paying for till this day 9/2020 from this store. I went in to pickup my upgrade and was told to come back in a few days to take advantage of their dads and grads promo. I came back, instructed the staff why I was there and they said yes I qualify being that I'm still within the window to take advantage of their promo as long as I add a line to get the free phone. I'm arguing with Verizon cust svc till this very day because they say the store must've not entered the incorrect promo code, so I'm responsible. No one from the store answers when cut svc calls to confirm and when I go in they say they only assist with urgent matters. How is their mistake not an urgent matters of my financials during this time? So I'm stuck paying for a line they added the day I got the promo phone and version doubts I went into the corporate store because they say it says differently, but I know better than to go to an authorized retailer and I always go through corporate. But now a corporate store is the one that screwed me over and I have 7 loyal lines with Verizon which adds insult to injury. The staff are incompetent here because I've gone here to talk this over with them and they always say, "oh it will reflect the credit on the next 2-3 bill cycles." Well here I am over a year and a half later and still no credits. I call Verizon cust svc monthly to argue that the credit still hasn't shown up and I hate explaining myself over and over for the lack of communication this entire company has. read more

Location is near Costco. Walked into this store to have some things taken care of. 4 workers at the counter and all of them stood there and just stared with giggles and one of them backed away. None of them obviously wanted to work. They weren't busy but were chatting with each other. One did eventually step up to "help" but I had to go elesewhere to fix an issue. When I returned to have some numbers on my acct switched , Daniel helped me. He got one switched and the other one he couldn't figure out, he shooed us away , (it was last half hr before closing)he literally started looking around as I was talking to him. I went to Costco where I purchased the phone and had Costco tell me Verizon needed to look for the phone in the system. Because it was a promo phone and it's been on my account. I went home and called Verizon instead. They are way more helpful on the phone and really try to help you. This storefront is a waste of time. Do what you can by calling 611.
