I visited Best Buy today looking for a camera. I found one I liked, but when I asked an employee for help, he advised me against purchasing it. I listened to his recommendation and ended up choosing another camera that I thought was a good option. However, when we went to purchase an SD card, I felt pressured into buying a specific one. Throughout the entire interaction, the employee came across as rude and belittling, making me feel uncomfortable rather than supported as a customer. By the time I reached the checkout, I was frustrated with the way I had been treated. I paid for my purchases and left without saying anything, but I felt that the experience deserved to be addressed. I appreciate employees who offer advice and help customers make informed decisions, but there is a difference between being helpful and making someone feel belittled. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of the customer service I expect from Best Buy. read more

bought a shark / ninja fan here on 6/13/2026 and the sales associates name "JOSEPH G." didnt helped us at all, never say hi/hello or accommodate our needs at all, he was just chit-chatting with other person. he was the one who even ask how is the fan or if its good or not or worth it (cuz we told him we have the same one and we are buying it for my mom). so it looks like we are the one who is doing the sales because he obviously doesn't have enough knowledge on how to do sales. came back the following day 6/14/2026, bought 2 refrigerator for my mom, they guy who was assigned again in there is the same person name "JOSEPH G.", He didn't say hi again, no pleasant welcoming demeanor, doesnt smile or whatsoever, doesn't know how to perform the settings in some of the fridge. we still ended up buying 2 fridge for my mom, my wife and I SPECIFICALLY gave a clear instruction to give a call to my mom because we live in LA, he took my moms contact number and he even say "the delivery person will call a day ahead for the delivery time and instructions". no one called her and the delivery person called me instead of her. we called the store and they say that they cant deliver it same day anymore and needed to reschedule it. we told them that this is very inappropriate, our meat and food will gonna get spoiled, the sales associate didnt communicate well, we are the customers and we ended up suffering from the sales associates INCOMPETENCE PERFORMANCE and we just heard a word sorry from customers service WITHOUT ANY RESOLUTION. its very frustrating. this sales associates "JOSEPH G." need a new training or get fired. your store will get bankrupt because of this persons POOR performance. read more

Things have changed a lot physically. The layout has been updated since the last (very long) time I'd been here. I was mostly wasting time until the Daiso store grand opening line was minimized, but I was looking for a new computer. The poor dude working the Chromebooks looked so forlorned. As I got to the Windows machines, one of those people working the area talked to me. I told him upfront that I wasn't ready to buy but wanted to see a certain machine. He was having trouble finding it, said that it might be in the back. He got Jose and they were looking together and they found it fairly quickly. We talked about permutations on the model and prices. I had hoped to actually find last year's model for a deal but I was too late. I'm normally without a car, so it's not easy to just visit a store. Anyway, they were surprisingly good. I also looked at the photographic section and it was less good than it had been. It's a wonder they sell any cameras. read more

I have purchased at least two dozen large appliances from Best Buy over the years with great customer service. That has all changed now. Purchased a new refrigerator in September, by November the ice maker was not working. You have to call the manufacturer for repairs now, and they are an out of state call center. I schedule the tech, he comes out and says he needs to order a part and will come back to install it. No word for 4 weeks. I scheduled 2 more dates for service, and they were no shows. I will never purchase anything from Best Buy again and never again anything frigidaire!! Terrible customer service for both companies. Wasted my time multiple times, on hold for hours, on a chat now for 20 minutes and still no help. Will have to load up a full-size refrigerator and take it back to the store for a refund! read more

IDO NOT USE GEEK SQUAD!!! purchased a 24 inch gaming monitor for my Mac Mini, and I paid $150 to have a GeekSquad to connect it properly. I was scheduled fir an appointment on Saturday between 2;30 - 5;:30. I tried several t, I did checkimed to find out the arrival status, but an AI agent kept hanging up on me. When I finally resorted to calling the Modesto store where I lbought the monitor, and I was told by a rep just to wait because they didn't know. After waiting for hours with no tech, I asked my credit card for a credit for the $150 I was charged by Best Buy. I don't think I've ever had a good experience at this bestbuy when i would come in the store when i was still debating what tv to buy or was browsing for a soundbar nobody came to me and asked if i needed help they were always just talking amongst themselves. I wanted to return some solo beats and buy some studio beats instead so the young girl at the register said that I can go get the ones I want come back in line and pay the difference so I did. As soon as I picked up the box of the studio beats another lady that worked their started staring at me and followed me to the front at a distance like if I was going to steal it. Purchased an Excellent condition open box 65" OLED TV on Best Buy.com on 3/2. Picked up at the Sisk Rd store in Modesto Ca. on 3/3. The store employees loaded the poorly packaged box, (2 Best Buy boxes fitted together), into my car. I said we ordered the Excellent condition TV, they confirmed this was the Excellent condition. Upon unboxing the TV I found that the remote control and other normally incudes cables and brochures (set up, warranty) were missing. I called customer service and they recommended I repackage and return the TV for a refund. This is extremely inconvenient as I live 1.5 hours from the store. I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied. I spent ~$4k at Best Buy in 2025. I would expect they'd appreciate my business more and ship me the missing components. read more

DO not order online they are using a company called roadie to deliver items. These are under paid gig workers and if something happens with the delivery you have to wait 7 to 10 days for a refund and then reorder the product. I Just bought a Samsung galaxy A15 5G there 12/10/24, and I had no help activating it unlike a few years ago they would always ask you if you wanted then to activate it. long story short I tried to activate it at home but I accidentily damaged it. The service in the store is good. The phone support is so awful. I gave only one star because of the store. I have been on the phone with 6 agents in two days. All the information I have received was wrong. Additionally, communication is not clear. I've been on the phone tonight over two hours trying to sort out if I'm going to be able to pick up my order in Tracy. I know Best Buy doesn't care about one customer and I understand consumers don't have many options but it has been an excruciating experience. My review is for Christian who is the Google Chromebook Rep. He was extremely helpful... and when I say extremely helpful, I mean it! He picked my things up when my children dropped them, helped carry my things when I had my hands full, and walked them up to the counter for me! I bought a chromebook a few months ago. I wasn't told that no all printers were compatible. So I went back and bought a printer that was told by the Chromebook's rep that the one he sold me would work. of course I take it home and didn't unfortunately try to set it up until the return deadline had passed. Went to try to recycle a tv we bought from them because the bulb went out just two months after the warranty and their site says 49 inches or smaller but then the manager said 43 inches or smaller. Talk about misleading customers about not wanting to provide a recycling service on tvs they sale us. Had to find somewhere and pay. read more

I'm not sure if this location is closed down like all the rest locations but I've called during their supposed work hours and you can't get anywhere on the phones it just says that you're calling not during work hours and for you to call back later after walking through 20 steps, and being on the phone each time for at least 15 to 20 minutes just to be told they're not open When it clearly states that they open up at 10 o'clock. Get you have to get her best fire close down your service already sucks and now you're not even gonna open or help customers none of you people deserve to have jobs. read more
