I'm only giving this place 5 stars because of the person who helped me when I walked in. I use to have AT&T and no. No one helped me, the employees lack control, they lack communication and they don't want to help there customers. I switched to Verizon once my husband told me that I shouldn't have AT&T. Walked into this Verizon and saw this bright smile. I don't recall his name but I'm pretty sure it was Nevin. He recommended me a good deal and I took it. Ever since then NO ISSUES! This is the type of customer service I'm talking about. Finally. read more

I went in with my wife two or three times for different problems. I was helped in a reasonable time and both times wit assistance from a supervisor two out of three problems were resolved. One problem with accessing my email is unresolved. There was much time and effort spent with both my wife and myself in problem solution. Thanks very much for your help! read more

I was so excited to give a 5 star review BUT I can't lie so I need to give an updated review. I was completely lied to when getting started with internet services. I was told so many wonderful things and was promised a set price on my bill and I can't even believe how this employee lied just to make the sale! Everything she told me was a lie! From the price for the internet alone to the future price of the bill in total. It's a shame that the employees lie to customers just to get a sale! I returned the equipment and I don't think I'll ever trust these Verizon employees when looking to start services with them. I called 611 about the internet service before I even decided to cancel it and she is who told me the employee lied to me about the cost of the internet service. She said there is no way that I could get the price that this Verizon STORE employee told my wife and I. So we decided to cancel because there's no way I'd ever pay over $100 for the internet. The woman on the phone said they can't go lower than $65 a month and that's not what I was told in store when I was starting service with them. So yes we canceled and never again will I trust the word of these employees in store. read more

Horrible customer service and extremely rude! They sold me a iPad online and the whole reason I ordered it online was to save time so I don't have to wait. I go in 3 hours later after paying for the iPad only to be told it's not ready and they don't know when it will be ready. I asked for an estimated time so I could know if I should stay or comeback tomorrow next week when???? And some big rude lady says it won't be ready until we push it through and I can't tell you when. Ok so you charged me and have my item but can't even tell me when it's ready??? I asked for a managers card and she claimed the didn't have one . No apology no nothing. Horrible customer service !! Maybe Verizon shouldn't be charging people just to make a sale if they can't even tell you when you can pick up your item read more

I am beyond disappointed. I walked in only to get help with activating my sons gizmo watch. Kam who is an employee there insisted that I should switch carriers for my phone plan, I said no I've been with my carrier for many years same phone number I have 6 lines. He offered me $10 per line on a business account. I paid over $500 just to switch over. Got my fist bill over $300 went to store to get help since they said I'd be paying less than the $180 I was paying for my lines with other carrier. They said they would call me with update never did. I have multiple messages back and forth from Kam and Tyvon. My second bill was over $500 Had to call customer service and they said I had 11 lines activated to my account. I had them remove those extra lines I didn't need or want. It's been five months since I opened my account with them and they refused to help me. I had to call customer service every single month and they say they will investigate. I have been paying my bill on time because I don't want my phone disconnected including this month rep said I only had to pay $129 and she would clear the remaining $200. My lines got disconnected yesterday for "nonpayment" I was there last night again and Tyvone said I have to wait until Saturday to maybe find the business account manager that apparently only works in Saturdays he refused to give me his contact information. And now says that they could not have offered me $10 per line he also denied having ever messaged me regarding this situation he said he never got any messages. I have them saved on my phone I showed him he didn't know what to say. Lies lies. They do lie to get you to switch over and then refuse to help. I would not recommend specifically working with this two people. My personal experience was terrible. read more

Stay away !!!!! Employees will tell you what you want to hear to sign you up and managers will not make any effort to help correct employees mistake. Example: went to pay off phone using gift card, employee called a Verizon customer are employee who was difficult to understand. Gift card covered all $22 of remaining balance. I gave store Verizon rep and rep on phone to charge $22 difference. They charged the full amount , hundreds of dollars and when we asked the rep on the phone to reverse the transaction he hung up and instore rep could get in touch with him and now the manager nor the employee know how to get me my money back. Filed a fraudulent claim against and they don't seem to be the least bit concerned. Stay away, don't trust them!!!! Worst customer service over 3 year experience. This store in particular but Verizon in general. read more

This is the absolutely the worst cell phone store ever. The person in charge (not a manager?-more on that in a bit) sat (and sat the hour and a half we were in the store) and stuffed her face with a large burrito. She actually rolled her eyes when her worker turned our phones in to her for an upgrade. Guess what? She lost, or misplaced, or stole one of the phones we turned in and that has created a horrible amount of work and stress on our end. I've had to call Verizon three times so far to deal with this. I've called the store twice. I asked to talk to the manager, and she was put on the phone. When I told her I was going to report the her (the manager), she told me there wasn't one in the store at all. Verizon, as I suspected, refuted that claim. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT SHOP HERE! read more

HORRIBLE! If I could give zero stars I would. A true nightmare doing business with this establishment. They are not a corporate Verizon, they are an authorized retailer. because of this, they do not follow by the same rules for professional policies. Martin Carlos, a sales associate here kept me and my mom AFTER store hours just to close a sale on two iPhones and watch. I mentioned leaving since I was almost 9 o'clock at night and getting very late for my mom and I however the sales associate insisted that we do the sale tonight and we did not leave until just before 9:30 PM with the store having closed at 9 pm. There was also another person after me, I'm not sure when she left. I signed up as a new customer and this employee insured me that once all the deals and specials activated on the account. Stating the Apple Watch would be virtually free, I believed this since I was a new customer buying two new iPhone 15's, the deal did not seem too good to be true to me. I told him I really didn't need the watch that I had one already. Insisting on making that sale he had me convinced I was getting some promotional deal. Long story short, it wasn't free, but actually full price. Before explaining how the financing works, they ran my credit and approved me for the maximum amount of financing. I explained I don't need finance a phone I can just buy it. Apparently, that is not a thing anymore. I have to say the most unprofessional thing about my whole experience was that the store employee Martin added every accessory for the phone, including glass, wipe, glass screen, protector, camera, lens protector, phone case, all of this audit up to nearly $200. None of the prices were disclosed to me before the employees started applying things that could not be removed if I decided to not get them. Another weird thing is that there are no prices on any of the phone cases, screen, protectors, or accessories. The whole experience made me feel so uncomfortable. They ended up going back and asking them if I could just return them because honestly, these items were hugely marked up and the prices were not disclosed until they had applied everything. A manager? by the name of Leslie, Stared off from the distance and watched me explain what had happened and when she heard that I wanted refund, she rolled her eyes and said just give her a refund. She showed no concern for what it happened or why I was making a return or the fact that the employee may have upsold and not disclosed any pricing upon my purchase. I was quoted with auto pay and a nurses discount, this was $50 in monthly discounts, I never received on my bill. Once I called into corporate, they did help me straighten that out. Beware this location will actually put in a false address so that you can qualify to get Internetat a place that does not have coverage and they will send you home with a modem and once you plug it in you will realize it doesn't work. Then when you go to return it, you don't receive your return label because it goes to the wrong address that they input in the system to make you qualify so they can make the initial sale. This place is so crooked. I am not sure how they are still in business. I made a formal complaint with Verizon corporation, the employees were very concerned, and insured that this was not a corporate location, but an authorized retailer and they do not follow same policy and are sales focused. I signed up with them the first week of February and I regret it deeply. Just returned one of the iPhones and the watch because for months my bill has been so high and it was never the amount we agreed on. I would return my phone as well, but then I would lose two iPhones I had traded. I learned from this experience, never buy from an authorized retailer. It's not the same experience as a corporate location. read more

We came in to purchase new phones, they didn't have the phones in stock and was told we needed to leave our old phones in order to receive the new phone. We were told that the accessories were mandatory to purchase or the phone warranty would be void, we were not told that we would be double charged per device to activate each device. The staff was not professional at all dis not tell us the cost until they ran my credit card. The inside of the building was very uncomfortable due to the air conditioner malfunction, the employees were more concerned about going home instead of helping the customer. Several people came in and the staff made every excuse not to help. I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone to shop or do business with this location. read more

My husband and I visited this store to move our cell service and to purchase a new phone as a Christmas present for my son. They only get 1 star because it is required. This location is TERRIBLE! The last three times we went there, (I know, should have learned, right?) Three times the woman who works there (I don't know her name but she was working 5/7/21 at the closing shift. Mean, lazy, lying person.) The first time, November 2020, she activated an iPad that we didn't even buy from there, and added all sorts of charges we did NOT authorize, then essentially held us hostage saying we HAD to pay close to $60 odd dollars. We told her from the get go we did NOT want to activate right then, and we were determining whether or not it would be better to activate online, or in store. She decided for us, and I am still pissed over that. I did not want my iPad activated right then. She took it upon herself to do it anyway, even after we told her multiple times that we didn't want to do it right then. It was a gift, and she took that option away, forcing us to pay an extra month. The second time, my husband upgraded from the iPhone XR to the iPhone 12 mini. It should have been a simple 20 minute transaction, and cost about $70, including taxes, and activation fee. No. Nope, this woman decided it needed to take close to 90 minutes, AND cost us close to $400. She decided, all on her own, that his new phone needed a screen protector, a car charger, and other unnecessary accessories, including Verizon's version of phone insurance. When we told her that we didn't want these items, she threw a fit, and said that they were needed. We said we have everything we need (EBay, y'all!), and were getting APP+ from Apple. She said initially that this stuff "came with it". Now, I don't know about y'all, but when someone suggest that something "comes with it", that suggests that it is at no additional cost. Well, friends, let me tell you, that cost was $300! For a case, a charger, and a screen protector that she INSISTED we needed. Then was pissed when we said no, and actually scoffed. Next, she insisted we set the phone up there, when we could do that at home. She said it was a requirement in order to put the phone on the monthly payment plans. Ok. It wasn't before, but now we are in COVID times, so maybe things changed, yeah? No. It was within 2 hours of closing time, and I still feel to this day that she had us stay there so she wouldn't have to deal with any other customers. My husband and I both had worked for a large tech company, and know how to do data transfer, and set ups of new devices, but according to this person, her way was the ONLY way. Rather than argue, we decided to just let her do the set up. By the way, she F'd that up, and we had to do it over when we got home any damn way. In the end, after 90 or so minutes, we got his new phone, sans the $300 in unneeded accessories, and paid our $60 ish for activation, ETC, and left. This brings us to last evening. We walked in about 1/2 hour before closing. Again to purchase a new phone, an endeavor that should take 15-20 minutes MAX. She flat out refused to help us. When she spoke, I recognized her voice, and told my husband that I wanted to leave because she forked up our last two transactions, and I didn't want her touching my stuff because I would have to spend an hour unforking her fork up. He agreed. She rolled her eyes, and walked away. How they could employ such a lazy, uncaring, uneducated person in a position of customer service, who has MULTIPLE complaints against her is beyond me. Look at the reviews on this site, and you will see mine is NOT the only one. In the past, we have always received outstanding service, and assistance, and the employees used to genuinely enjoy their positions. They were fun, and funny, and helpful, and engaging, and interactive. Now, the ones who work there seem like lifeless automatons going through the motions in order to collect a paycheck, and no clue what they're doing, and worse, no CARE about what they are doing. Verizon should be ashamed to have their brand connected with this store. So, to conclude this novel, we ended up going to Best Buy across the parking lot. We walked in about 10:05, and walked to the wireless center where Daphne met us within seconds. We told her what we wanted to do, and she jumped right into action, explained what we needed as she was doing it, and she got us all set up (we transferred the data at home), wished us well. All of this took less than 25 minutes. The cost was lower than going through the website, and she didn't automatically add unnecessary junk to our tab. Best Buy will be our go to for anything Verizon related from now on. This Verizon store needs new management, new employees, and new training. That woman needs to be retrained, or let go completely. You should be ashamed of her treatment of guests inside your store. I know my little $60 doesn't mean much to you, but considering we have 4 lines, & will add another soon, & upgrade at least one once a year, it should mean something. read more

I do not recommend this location. I traded in my phone and moved service to Verizon for better coverage and was sold internet for my home. I thought I would try it since it was half the price of what I'm paying for Spectrum internet. I was told my address didn't qualify but they could put an address nearby and that it would work. Well, I get the modem home and of course it doesn't work!! So they have to mail me a return label (since you cannot return the device in store), and of course they mail it to the wrong address, not once but TWICE! I finally get my label, return the device, but of course I've already been charged the $200 for it and have yet to get my money back. They will tell you anything to make a sale. If your address doesn't qualify for internet, DO NOT GET THE INTERNET. It won't work and you will waste your time, all because they WANT TO MAKE A SALE. Stay away from this place! Authorized retailers don't have the same standards, training, and policies as the actual corporate stores. read more

If I could give 0 starts I would. This location definitely took advantage of me. I had came in to get an upgrade on my phone with my past nap time 2 year old. My sales associate put a screen protector on phone without asking saying it was included. She had told me to pick out a case that Verizon includes it with new iPhones and a charging block since apple doesn't supply them anymore. She said these were all included with my iPhone! I was in serious rush to leave as it seams their AC wasent working and my blood sugar was dropping rapidly. At the end I was charged 333$ I mistaken her, thinking she said $33!!!!!! I didn't realize untill next day I was charged over $300!!!! I felt so taken advantage of, misled, unfortunately I don't think I'll be keeping my business with Verizon after being ripped off and abused like this. read more

This is not the 1st bad experience with this store. One always tries to give the store another shot and the sad part is that upgrading a new phone should be a positive good feeling experience, yet every time I have been to this location I left with a worse experience then I came in with. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Well after strike 3 at this location that is now how I feel. Let's take a time trip back to about a little less then a year ago when We brought in a brand new iPad Air 4th gen to get a SIM card for to enable with Cellular service. The person (who was the same lady at the store that we saw every time) setup the service on the iPad before we even asked him what was entailed with the setup and whether it was better or not to do it online. She enables the service without my authorization, then she tries to hold us hostage there until we paid her the amount for the setup cost which was $30 for activation as well as the 1st month's service. We were a little strapped for cash at the time and we thought we could just have it added to the bill, but of course she does not tell us any of that info even though we asked her prior, and we literally had to find out by her springing the bomb on us that she already set it up and we were forced to pay her then and there. NOTE: This was literally for a SIM card. I hadn't even purchased the iPad Air 4th gen there at the store. So I chalked it up to maybe I just didn't hear her. My wife was pretty livid about the experience as this lady made us feel like we should have known that. I suppose we would have if she would have told us when we asked her. This was a pretty poor experience but we just let it go for now. The 2nd experience with literally the same person at the store was when I decided to upgrade the iPhone 12 Mini at the store. This at this time was my first experience personally at upgrading my iPhone Xr that I paid off as I really wanted a smaller phone. So we go in.... I was very specific to what I wanted for my phone. I literally just wanted the phone as I did not need ANYTHING ELSE!!! I literally re-iterated that statement a whole slew of times and all she had to do was literally setup my upgrade. There was literally no trade in as my iPhone Xr was paid off and was using it as a backup. She comes out with the 12 Mini, sets up the device and throws a case and a charger and screen protector telling me literally that it comes with the phone then instead of the bill with the taxes and activation fee, she came out with a $380 bill. Shocked at the cost as we were told by Verizon this time (yes we called them first) at what it would cost at that location for the exact item that I wanted. This lady at the store started debating with me that we needed these items. I let the employee know that I am aware of what I need for my phone and at NO TIME did I agree to get all this stuff that she was attempting to peddle off as free with the phone. "Ma'am, nothing is free if you have to pay for it." I demanded that she remove that extra stuff that I DID NOT AT ANY TIME ask for and had her finish the setup of the iPhone 12 Mini. I mean the way she words it was clearly a con. A $40 screen protector? Really? If you have APP+ or other coverage, why would you even need that protector with insurance attached to the phone?. Even Verizon themselves can offer acc. damage coverage without the need of you have a screen protector on your phone. It's a joke and this Verizon store should be ashamed of employing this sick behavior in its employees. Victra Verizon is a horrible company for promoting their people to shady tactics. Do they pay some sort of commission at this Verizon store for upselling by deceptively adding accessories then stating you are required to have them? One would think I would learn my lesson but yet I go in a 3rd time. You might ask why do I do this? It was convenient or at least I thought so till now. So we get there about 7:38pm and they close @ 8pm (5/7/2021) Of course who is working there? The same lady that we had the last 2 experiences at the store. We tell her we want to upgrade my wife's phone to an iPhone 12 with trade in for the iPhone Xr and she tells me that they stop providing service like that @ 7:30pm because they don't want to provide help that can run beyond 8pm when they close. There were literal crickets in the store (no one being there). Now I know why. Why even keep the doors open anymore since they won't do anything other then sell accessories after 7:30pm. If even that. Sad to say this is literally the last experience that I will EVER have at this Victra Verizon store let alone this chain. Never again! A complete con job and horrible experience. Mark my words! Compare other negative comments to this one and you will notice a serious pattern. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! They would get 0 stars if possible. This is a third-party location, not even a real Verizon -- your first red flag!!! These employees work off commission and will lie to you and upsell you every chance they get. The prices of phones in their store are more expensive than they are online, PLUS you have to pay them a "mandatory" set up fee, for them to literally take your new phone out of the box and turn it on. That's all they do, and then have the audacity to charge an additional $30 for that???? Ridiculous. Every other time I have been to a Verizon store, they at least ask first if you need help setting up your device, and I always politely decline. Especially during COVID, I do NOT want someone else's hands all over my device before I even pay for it!!!! The employee I was working with started off our encounter very nicely, but once she asked my budget for the day and I said "as low as possible", her whole demeanor shifted since she realized she wasn't able to make a paycheck off me. After I said no to a phone case, screen protector, charging cord, charging block, wireless charger, insurance, etc. etc. she told me my total was over $120, which seems high for just a simple cell phone, but I was already expecting to pay around $100 for the taxes and the Verizon activation fee. Therefore, I wasn't paying close attention to the subtotal on the card reader. My associate was rushing me through the payment screens, saying "just hit agree and accept, agree and accept" without even giving me a chance to read it. It was taking longer than usual for it to go through on her end, so she grabbed the pen from me and started tapping accept for me!!! Seems shady, and now I know why!! Once I was handed my receipt and I looked it over in the car, I saw the $30 set up fee, which I neither needed nor agreed to, PLUS a $30 redux fee, which I had to look up, because I had no idea what it was!!! Once I got home, I called the store back and asked them about those superfluous charges. The phone was answered by a different associate than the one I had worked with previously, and she was completely confused about the redux charge, saying "we don't even use that anymore, that definitely should't be on there". It could have been a simple mistake, but my guess is, my original associate needed at least one add-on for her commission, and so she just picked something cheap at random. This enraged me so much, I ended up going back there and returning my whole phone. I would NEVER recommend taking your business here. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! read more

Would not recommend this location, some of the people that work there are unprofessional. Victra slogan is having intergrity for the guest, but surely they don't even use it to their customers. I worked here and they would rather let someone go that actually does their job right with integrity, rather than misleading workers that are adding things that the customer doesn't want. There is favoritism in the workplace and that is unacceptable. The manager CHRISTOPHER WILKERSON is nothing but a problem starter, he will talk so much negative things about customers, co workers and management, and knowing that he is still manager disgust me because he does not deserve his position. I had to find out from other employees that he didn't like me and was too scared to tell me about it. What kind of manager talks negative about their coworkers? I've also heard him talking about employees behind their backs. He was also trying to find any little thing to fire an employee because I've heard it from him, from his mouth. I'm sure he did that to me and a previous coworker. This manager is lazy and uses people to get what he wants. Countless times he would expect us "Sales Consultant" to do his work which was crazy because he was the sole called "manager." The manager should be confronting the specific employee, and not telling other coworkers about it. That's how things go around in the workplace. Anyways, got in trouble for sending a customer to another store because we didn't have a SIM card at the store even though it was the same company because all they care about are their numbers, etc;. I also let him know I was running late because I had got pulled over, was not even 10 minutes late and the store was busy. He had the audacity to use me to get what he wanted by having me stay for about half of my shift to finally tell me, that I'm no longer an employee. I mentioned to him what was the reason why? He brushed me off to contact HR about it, so he can cover his ass which is some shady stuff so imagine about what he does to the customers? I felt used because if he was going to fire me why couldn't he have just done it right when I started my shift, and wants to explain that I have previous violated procedures but didn't want to tell me why though I'm getting fired, like what procedures did I mess up. Ther are way more instances ca but it's too much... read more

We have been loyal Verizon customers for 20+ years and have worked with several different people throughout the years. Recently we have been doing lots of upgrades and changes with our phone services and the Riverbank store has been wonderful to work with. They always are willing to go above and beyond to help us. Brad, helped once again today making it easy for my parents to get new phones. I can't thank him enough for his hard work! #Verizonloyal Riverbank Verizon is the best! read more

I was in the area and my phone completely took a crap on me so I came into this store to buy a new phone 'cause it was definitely time. Still had an iPhone 5C, haha. Anyways, I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and even though it was really busy, the lady I worked with (Christine) paid close attention to my needs and wants and was extremely helpful. I can see the rest of the staff were working hard with other customers and were also really friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you, Verizon (Victra). Keep up the good work! read more

When I think of the perfect employee, I picture Taivon! He was so helpful, knowledgeable, respectful, and went above and beyond for my mom, grandma, dad, fiancé and I. We were switching from ATT and had to get all new phones and what would normally be a boring process he made into a good time! He was very thorough and patient! I am overall blown away by this employee he definitely deserves a raise! read more

I arrived in store at 6:20 pm and walked out at 6:30 pm on 11/15/19, 3 associates were working, one walked past me multiple times. At no point was I greeted or spoken with, though I stood waiting patiently. I was not on my phone or any of the stores devices and I was not browsing. I waited for eye contact or a "We will be with you shortly" and never received either. I was not standing near any other groups, and there were 7 other people in the store. All 7 others were being helped, while 2 associates never even looked up from their computers (while helping 5 guests.) read more

I do not recommend this store. There is not one employee that knows what they are selling. They are unable to help you with your account and resolve any issues. The manager mislead us and lied about the transaction. Do not bother with this location read more

The associate named Miranda went above and beyond to make sure we got what we needed and amazing customer service. Definitely went above and beyond the act of duty. And was a added feature for me to switch from at&t. read more

From reading the recent reviews of this store, I have to agree regarding the female employees; they're useless and are not knowledgeable on the phones in the stores. By the way, the Riverbank store is privately owned. In all fairness, maybe the owners don't require that ALL their employees be educated on the phones in the store. I was told that the girl had never heard of these functions, and to go to the Dale Road location for technical support. Really?? Reading other reviews, perhaps the employee, Nicholas is the only person that can help with technical problems. I know I won't waste my time going in there again. I found a lot better service and positive attitudes at the Dale Road Verizon location which is owned and operated by Verizon. I found the 5 employees I've talked to in this store to be knowledge and willing to assist each customer. And if they don't have the answer, they will ask other employees rather than letting you leave with dissatisfaction. Just find another Verizon store in nearby towns, and go there instead. read more

Beware--Victra is not a Verizon owned store, but a Verizon authorized retailer. Very unhappy with customer service. Bought charger cord for grandson's birthday and mailed to him across the country. Wasn't what he wanted. He mailed it back after a few weeks, and meanwhile I was out of town. When I tried to return the cord, which had never been out of the box, manager said I couldn't return because it was past 30 days. (it was 1 week past 30 days). No offer for credit. I asked him to call his superior and he refused and was rude. Victra customer service sucks. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE BUY FROM AMAZON AND WALMART where you aren't so limited with returns. Will never set foot in another Victra owned store. The happy ending is that I called Verizon and my account was immediately credited the cost of the charger cord, plus I got to keep the cord. read more
