From reading the recent reviews of this store, I have to agree regarding the female employees; they're useless and are not knowledgeable on the phones in the stores. By the way, the Riverbank store is privately owned. In all fairness, maybe the owners don't require that ALL their employees be educated on the phones in the store. I was told that the girl had never heard of these functions, and to go to the Dale Road location for technical support. Really?? Reading other reviews, perhaps the employee, Nicholas is the only person that can help with technical problems. I know I won't waste my time going in there again. I found a lot better service and positive attitudes at the Dale Road Verizon location which is owned and operated by Verizon. I found the 5 employees I've talked to in this store to be knowledge and willing to assist each customer. And if they don't have the answer, they will ask other employees rather than letting you leave with dissatisfaction. Just find another Verizon store in nearby towns, and go there instead. read more

Great store! My husband and I came here to get a tall order fulfilled and we were blessed to have Christine help us. It was alot of work on her part, but she never gave up, going back and forth with Verizon Corporate several times. She made what we needed a reality, transferring a personal phone to a company, then a prepaid phone to a plan on a new smart phone, then that phone into the company, AND we got a sweet deal on a new Tablet as part of a promotion. Tyler, Christine (office manager) and Josue were all extremely attentive and helpful to my uncle and me when we went into the store to get new phones. It was time consuming for THEM because we are pretty much tech illiterate and they patiently helped us explaining how each (smart) phone worked. Don't go here! There main goal is to sell their Victra products and could care less about properly helping Verizon customers. I purchased a Portable wireless box and was very unhappy with the product. When I returned this they didn't put it back into their system, I then followed this with three weeks of phone calls/fighting to get it stop charging me to my account. Overall just keep in mind the intentions of the sales associate and what's their trying to sell you. Avoid the problem all together and go to a legitimate Verzion store, very disappointed. read more

Terrible service, my husband went in to get the new iPhone 13 and was then offered a whole bunch of accessories for "free" because he was purchasing the iPhone, we thought "cool! That's nice of them to do" and it wasn't just us we saw them do this to two other customers before us. We then proceeded with the purchase and mistie threw in a screen protector, phone case, 10ft charger, car charger, and a portable charger once she gave my husband the total it was 300$! We ended up paying because we thought maybe the prices went up this year because last year we had only payed 260$ for two phones when we had both upgraded so we were a bit confused, mind you she didn't even give us a receipt or anything until we got home I noticed she ended up emailing it and did charge us for all accessories when she said it was "free" because of the iPhone 13 this is honestly really unprofessional if this is what you guys are teaching your employees to do! A guy and a girl worked today they swore and took personal phone calls while people stood around in store waiting to be helped. They were both rude and the solution to everything was "sorry we can't do that here in store" as if they were just blowing people off. Was in there for an hour to get my phone activated. I've been with Verizon for over 16 years, and super happy with their service. (Service,,,NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE!). I've recently had a problem with my iCloud, phone number, My Verizon app, and Emails being hacked. I called 611 for help. . I talked to 3 reps before I started taking names. After waiting, on hold for 48 minutes (no joke) I finally got connected to a rep. She was nice, her name was Margie. I explained my issue to her. She even gave me her text number to send my proof. PooPH! Just like that we got disconnected!!! I texted her and asked for her to call me back, she responded, "I will in 5minutes or so." I couldn't wait. I was up all night retrieving Email passwords and trying to figure out what happened. I called 611 again.... after on hold for 51 minutes I finally got connected to Toni. By this time I've already been on hold for a total of 99 minutes, and explained my issue. So I took a breath before I talked to Toni. She was kind, seemed helpful and I explained everything to her, even told her about being on hold forever and getting disconnected. She assured me if that happed she would call me back. After explaining my issue, it happened, disconnected, and guess what...... no call back. Now, here I go again....I started calling Verizon at 8:20 am. By this time it's noon. After another 42 minutes on hold, I get the Rep named Mitzzi. I explained my issue to her. She didn't even want to help me. Disconnected again. I call 611 aaaaagggggaaaaiiiiinnnnnn . I get connected and this time I ask for a supervisor. The Verizon Rep connected me to Angela. Not even kidding when I say she hung up on me too. By this time I learned I need to change my approach and issue all together. Sooo I called and acted like I was a new, potential member looking to purchase a phone and service. OMG!!!! A Rep named Nevin, transferred me to a Rep named Kadr. 2 days later I got my new account, new phone, and new number. I couldn't get my new phone I paid $1249.23 activated. Why????? I called 611. They said my new number will be activated "tomorrow". I waited for tomorrow..... no activation. I called 611 again. The Rep told me that my number belonged to Vicky and Michael P******s and asked me if my account number was ******** ? THATS MY ISSUE!!! My information was given out by a Rep!!!!!!!!!! I can not believe.... I changed my approach and answered my own question! Reps give out your personal info like candy! Not intentionally, just stupidly! So now I'm told I need to go into a store and change my SIM card.... to my brand new phone. ? Now, why would I have to change a SIM card to my new phone they sent me in the mail. I paid over a thousand dollars for a USED phone!!!!! That would be the only reason to change a SIM card in a new phone!!!!! So I play along. I go to a Verizon Store. I am now face to face with a Rep. in Riverbank named Christine. She was kind, knowledgeable and creative. I say creative because even being a "new member" with a "new" phone.... I had lots of issues just to get it activated. I've been a customer for many years. Super happy with the service. I'm hanging in there with ya'll through this Corona Pandemic.... but clearly your reps are not keeping customer information confidential..... OH AND I FORGOT TO ADD THIS.... After I explained to one of the reps about my privacy issues she offered to sell me identity insurance for the low price of $12.99 a month. Christine.... you were great. But the other 10 Reps were not. If I approached you first with my issues I would be happy happy happy. Verizon.... your phone Reps ALLL suck, even the Supervisor's can not keep customer information private!!!!!!! In short..... What company gives out your personal account information first and last name.... unless you pay the low price of $12.99 a month to secure it?????? Verizon that's who... Verizon Reps will give out your personal information stupidly like candy unless you pay for that insurance! Verizon....... my experience at your Riverbank store was great. This is the worst I have ever experienced. I mean I get a discount from my work by staying with Verizon but EVERY DAMN TIME I go into this store it is one screw up after another. 1. Upgraded to the iPhone 7. Was told they would send me a box to recycle my 6 and I would get a discount each month. Never received the box. When I came in again I was told that the offer was too old and they wouldn't honor it. Which brings me to 2. Got my son a Gizmo Watch, was told that I would receive a $25 gift card in the mail for signing him up. Never received. 3. Went to get my son a phone now that he out grew the Gizmo and got a warranty on the screen protector. They did me the 'courtesy' of completing the registration, all I need to do is finish the registration that was emailed to me. I received the email, only to find out that they had TYPED IN THE WRONG PHONE NUMBER of the phone that I insured. Is this level of incompetence inherent to ALL Verizon locations or just here in Riverbank?! read more

In August.. and employee { we'll call her "M"}.. told me { with NO calls back }.. leaving my bill { cause she was ALWAYS OUT } talked to another emploee {we'll call him "D" age 20 and only concerned about his NEW PHONE} i stated ALL my complainets.. He said " oh i see what M did... she pro-rated your account.. how stupid was that, i never pro rate, i'll check into it and see what i can do " After 4 days and a total of 7 hours { asking for manager Maria and Regional Manger } was told by employee D ... " THEY WON'T TALK TO YOU NOR HELP YOU" .. employee D made me feel like i was sh** on his boots... I contacted VERIZON { a real store } BEWARE of these small Verizon Wireless Stores.. they are 3 party vendors.. and can promise anything they want and they will all be LIES... Today was my first time using this store and I had the best experience! Miranda helped me and she made the process so painless! Whenever I go in to get a new phone I always expect it to take forever and be tedious. Today was quick and anything but tedious! Miranda was very clear about everything, efficient, and so patient. She told me about other things I could add on, but wasn't pushy. I felt very comfortable thinking things through and saying no when I didn't want something. Not only was he kind, he was so thorough that he helped me save money on my monthly bill and saw that I had been overcharged for months.. he made the necessary changes and had it retroactively fixed. :) I have been to this location on many different occasions and had unsatisfactory customer service, so felt it necessary to give props to Alpho. I would give this review zero stars if they let me but unfortunately I have to give at least 1. I have never in my life experience racism in till I came into this store with my husband. Both employees working were helping other customers when we walked in they didn't even say Hi, we will be right with you or anything, we waited around 15 min because we wanted to changed phone providers but we changed our minds once another customer different race came in and they acknowledged him right away and told him we are almost done and will be right with you. A lady named Christinne was awesome even called to get rebates all lined up, helped me clear phone and pick out accessories. We recently upgraded our cell phones and decided to add 2 gizmo pals to our account. While we started out with a little bit of a bumpy ride with the gizmo's, Alpho took the time to ensure that all of our questions were taken care of and that all of the bumps in the road were taken care of. Our children love the devices and the staff treated me and my children as if we were the only customers in the store! After waiting 30 minutes for service at the Pelendale Verizon store, only to be told I would have to wait 15 minutes more, I left, came to the Verizon Store in Riverbank. They resolved my problem without any waiting, without any problem, and in less than 5 minutes!!! Alpho and Evey are friendly, fast, and easy to work with. I won't go to any other Verizon store. The particular sales rep I had ( Josia) was very deceptive and not upfront and honest. I went into the store because I was having reception issues with my current provider and heard that Verizon was better. I was told by Josia that my unlimited plan would be $65 a month with auto pay. So I purchased a new phone and had him transfer my info on my old phone to the new one and switch my current number to Verizon . After the process was completed he presented me with the contract to sign , I saw it had $80 month so I questioned Josia about it. He gave me a blank look and proceeded to lie and say he was giving me the cost for 2 lines, I told him no I clearly asked for the 1 line price. After a while of going back and forth he finally admitted it was his mistake and said it would be $75 and $70 with auto pay, but they couldn't do anything more about the price. I told him I really didn't want the service for the fact that he lied to me and it was not a good way to treat a new customer. At this point the manager and another employee got involved. The manager told me I could return the phone but it would take a couple of weeks to get a refund and there would be a restocking fee, and I would lose my current phone number .At this point I felt I had no choice but to accept the terms. The manager did offer to waive the $30 installation fee. So I went home disappointed and got on the internet to set up my on line account, well come to find out the monthly fee was now $80! The next day I spoke to the store manager and told her how I was disappointed that I was lied to not just once but twice and felt that they were deceiving customers and asked to speak with the regional manager: She said she could not give me the regional managers number but would have him contact maybe the following week: I again stated how disappointed I was: About 20 minutes later the store manager called me back and said they would refund my money and to bring the new phone back. They did make good on this promise and I went back to my original carrier. Also for the 12 plus hours I had Verizon I had 4 dropped calls . read more

This place is absolutely horrible!! Stay away!! I ordered an iPhone 7(the order was placed by the assistant manager) and I was told it would be delivered in 2 days. After 5 days, I call the store and ask what's going on with my phone and the guy says he doesn't know. Since this retailer has several other stores in the area, I ask if I can pick up the phone from another store and they said "no" even though the Oakdale store had the exact phone in stock. So I tell them that I want to cancel my order and the guy tells me that only a manager can do that and he will have a manager call me back in about 30 minutes. About 1 hour later, I call back and I'm told the manager will call me shortly. Needless to say I never got a call. The next day I call and speak to the assistant manager who tells me he can't cancel my order over the phone and I will need to come in to the store. I come into the store and he refunds the money to some card I don't even own! Here we are a week later and they still can't seem to refund my card properly! It has been 2 weeks since I ordered my phone and this is the worst customer service I have ever seen! They have never once apologized or even act interested in fixing the situation. read more
