This was one of the cleanest stores I've been to with this chain. The staff was super friendly, very helpful especially for them, being on a shift by themselves. I really wish I would have remembered her name.But she has been with the company for 8 years and you can tell that she loves her job based off of how attentive she was and how highly she spoke of the company, including her daughters who loved to shop there as well. I know Torid is Torrid but whomever is displaying the clothing and or choosing what comes into their store really cares about all age groups that shop with them. I tend to spend a lot of money there. Every year and really appreciated the diversity that this location seemed to have. This will be my new go to store despite the distance. read more

I feel like this business is trying to lose service by having us do all of our shopping online :(. I like to see what the print is on the selection of the underwear I'm choosing but was not very happy about the situation. Underwear was online for buy 3 get 3, when I asked the cashier why it wasn't she said they do not do the same deals. Crazy because when I went outside and talked to Customer Service they said there shouldn't have been a problem. So what was the problem than exactly?? The Turlock location is enjoyable to shop. Employees are very nice. I get greeted every time I walk in. You don't have the big crowds like you do in the mall. My preferred store to shop. read more

I went in this past weekend twice, once on Saturday because I needed a new bra. Usually I am greeted and asked if I need help but I walked in with no greeting and no one offered to help and by my count there were at least 4 people working there. Then when i get to the register they were all so busy talking to each other and ignoring me that the person ringing me up forgot to remove the security tag so I had to go back the next day, very inconvenient. Then I was ignored AGAIN and literally NO ONE asked if I needed help, I had to go find someone off the floor to remove the tag or I would have had to wait another 10 mins for the very slow sales associate to ring up another customer. Not cool. The customer service at Torrid used to be top-notch not sure who you have running that place but you probably need to get somebody else. read more

I will admit that I went one night and no one greeted or anything went back 2 days later completely different atmosphere. Met the manager and assistant manager. The gal that helped me was courteous helpful and had rocking making up too. I was impressed by the bra's because I normally get at lane Bryant well NO MORE I'm a fan and faithful to Torrid wonderful comfy and sexy for us bigger gals. First time not getting greeted as we walked in which was unusual because usually we have the happy uplifting attitude employees. After one horrible shopping experience after another with Torrid, mainly the Modesto location I refuse to physically shop instore. That's all changed now and thank God! Beyond annoyed! We waited in line like asked. They had let three people in and a minute later another associate walked in. Literally 5 people walked out, not including the kids that walked out with them. We walked in and the associate told us only 3 people were allowed in. We mentioned more than 5 people had walked out and she said"sorry we were exceeding the max". Ok no big deal. Then I went to return some jeans that were given to me and I had the original receipt. They asked for my loyalty number and I mentioned they would not show up because it was a gift. These items were purchased with a Debit card. As many know , if purchased with a debit card they can return it back to the card or give you cash back. They said no. They would only offer a store credit. How does that make sense?! Their reasoning was because I said it was a gift I would only get store credit REGARDLESS of having the original receipt?!?! So stupid! I obviously was given the original receipt for that reason, to NOT get store credit. Such a horrible experience.. on top of that she even tried telling me that I was getting store credit because they paid with a gift card. When I mentioned I was calling the person she completely changed her response. I love Torrid, it sucks when the customer service does not meet Torrid standards. read more

Not happy at all! My daughter went to try on dresses with Quince party to get fitted . No one helped her see if the dress was properly fit they relied on a 14 year old to see if it fit. We get the dress that we paid over a hundred dollars for home . To find out it did not fit . I called the store to get nothen but a attitude from sales girl who answered the phone saying that they relied on the girls to tell them the size. So no proper fitting was done for this even . And that I was basically shit out of luck because all sales are final. Now I'm stuck with a dress that doesn't fit for a quince. read more
