Work World on Standiford is easy to find right off the freeway, with plenty of accessible parking and a clean, well-organized store. Ivan helped me out and was super friendly, knowledgeable, and actually offered options instead of just pointing me to a rack. The gear is a bit pricey but worth it since the clothes are built to last, not like the stuff that falls apart after two washes at Old Navy. My only complaint is they don't carry extra smalls--my son's on the skinny side and even the small looked big on him. I also really like that Carolina rug by the fitting rooms; I'm just waiting for the day they retire it so I can take it home. read more

Customer service was horrible. No greeting when you walked in and no help at all. The 3 staff on that afternoon shift were just chatting it up at the cash wrap. No other customers were in the store but us. After a bit people started to walk in not many. We had a hand full of items to try on. Not even 5 mins in the fitting room and the male worker knocks on the door and asked if we are almost done because someone else needs it. Like why couldn't you tell the other customer that we had just went in there and it will be a min but not long. We didn't even get to try on everything and felt rushed. I love Carhartt, this lady was fat shaming me, saying, "I needed a bigger size," and comments along those lines. I read the reviews here and was a little skeptical about returning to buy more work shoes. I bought shoes about little over a year and a half ago and it was a good experience. This time was just as good as the first or even a better. I was greeted at the door by Richard and he was very helpful. I'm picky with my shoes and he went out of his way to help me. I tried on about four shoes and finally found the perfect pair. I was treated nicely and Richard was patient with me. He stayed with me the entire time and ensured I was happy. They have a very good selection of Carhart shirts and pants at this store. Some of the other products here are of inferior quality. If you buy the Carhart products you can't go wrong. Admitted it was their fault for the over charge but only credit by store gift card. We will never shop here again. My husband needed safety glasses, so he stopped by after a long day at work. As he walked in the older man asked him, "can i help u? My husband said nicely that hes just looking around for safety glasses and if he had any questions, he'll let him know. So as he was trying on the glasses, the older man called for another employee to keep an eye on my husband. I bought some composite toe shoes for work less than a year ago. Employees were very polite and helpful. Today I stopped by to look at new shoes and ask them how to prevent the material from creasing and tearing at the edge of the steel toe. I showed them my old shoes. About 10 coworkers of mine, have the same shoes and have no problems. Store manager flat out blamed me for the creasing. The thing is, I wasn't looking for a free pair of shoes. I went in to exchange a pair of pants and the cashier smelled the pants and said that they had been washed and that she would not return them. When I told her that I had not washed them she smelled the pants again, in front of a long line of people, and said I wasn't telling the truth and that they smelled of detergent.
