I had purchased a real rabbit fur coat online but due to the amount of shedding I just wanted confirmation that it was true fur. I called the Modesto location and they said their manager had experience with real fur and would be willing to look at it for me to confirm. I came in and all the staff were extremely friendly and the manager was able to confirm the coat was true fur and explained to me how she could tell. I did not purchase anything, but they still provided me with such great customer service, I will definitely go back for shoes when in need. Leslie was great! I have been wearing cheap shoes so long I forgot what good shoes felt like. She was patient and helpful in finding a good comfortable and supportive fit. She was very sweet! I had an amazing experience with Dawn with purchasing my shoes. She was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. My friend and I went in looking for cute, supportive shoes for our cruise next week. She scanned my feet and explained the imaging. Worth your trip and money to come here! Prior to stopping into the store today I had gone to seven different shoe places in the mall. Not one of them had a staff member that even acknowledged us much less helped us find what we were looking for. I happened to see this place on my way to the mall, funny enough, and remembered it on the way back and I'm so glad I stopped in. Maria Sandoval helped me today. She is highly knowledgeable at what she does. She measured my foot, listened to my concerns, and was able to provide multiple shoes that she thought would be suitable for my foot. She looked at the fitting on each pair. She put on my foot to make sure that it addressed my concerns. I tried on so many pairs of shoes, and during the process she did not rush me one moment and allowed me to take my time and even put the shoe on and took it off. Now that I have had this level of service and attention while shoe shopping, I will never shop anywhere else for a pair of shoes. It made the world of difference having someone who was there helping you find exactly what you needed. I can't think of another time at another business where someone did not rush me through the process and that was so much appreciated that I felt important. I purchased two pairs and my husband purchased one. I can't say enough great things about the store and made an otherwise frustrating day of shoe shopping into a great one. I don't buy shoes that often and I have very weird feet. So shoe shopping is a challenge and quite frankly something I don't enjoy. After ordering several pairs of shoes on line that were all returned I knew I had to venture out and do it in person. I went to Royal Robbin's in McHenry Village as they always had a good selection of shoes. But to my dismay they no longer carry shoes. I was disappointed but the very nice woman who worked there directed me to Becks. After visit a shoe store in McHenry Village and finding zero I drove a short distant down the street to Becks. I told the clerk there that the last time I bought shoes was from The Shoe Box at the mall and they went out of business several years ago. The service was just how I like it. No pressure take your time and look around. She then scanned my feet and recommended inserts that were ones I already have so I knew that she knew her busy. Went to Beck's at the recommendation of my podiatrist. I was honestly and truly surprised by the degree of professional and assistance that I was immediately met with. I expected it to be like any other shoe store where your only interaction with staff is at checkout. I was assisted by Dannette, who clearly knew what she was doing and helped me get what I needed very quickly. She had a lot of knowledge and experience with not just the products in her store, but clearly the medical needs that sees someone such as myself sent to them after a diagnosis. She very quickly selected a range of options to suit my new needs. Having just left a doctor where I was told I would need to make changes that could last the rest of my life, it was very relieving to be assisted in this way. Went in today no really knowing to expect all my life I knew I had foot problems but I recently suffered in injury and have only been walking for about a month now, soon as I walked in I was greeted with great customer service by dawn, she went above and beyond for my needs as I was new to the 3D scanning that they offer and she even explained everything that was wrong with my feet, pains, etc. I ended up walking out with a different pair of shoes on my feet than the ones I walked in with. I'd say be prepared to go the extra dollar to make sure you're walking in the correct shoes that you need aswell as the Insoles! You only have one pair of feet. read more

My husband went to Beck's yesterday to find a new pair of shoes. The staff was extremely helpful and suggested he get his foot measured to make sure he got the right size shoe. It turned out that his feet are extra wide (which explains why the shoes be bought at a discount shoe store always split on the side). He had been wearing the wrong size. width wise for years. This store and its staff are absolutely fabulous! Beck's Shoes was recommended to me after my recent diagnosis of plantar fasciitis. The store was well organized, clean, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I was greeted immediately by the staff and after only a short wait was assisted by staff member Dawn, who is incredibly knowledgeable, not only about my condition, but about all of the products in her store and how best to help me out. She took her time to explain things to me and we were able to find not only new shoes, but supportive inserts for other shoes that I already owned and specialty socks to help my feet feel better and make walking less painful. I was there for quite a while, and during that time Dawn and the other staff members were friendly, extremely helpful and would greet every person that walked through the door (and they did get pretty busy during my 90 minute visit).
