Just tried to go into this store with a shopping cart from a store next door and they turned me away. I was only using the cart to push my child in a car seat around because my stroller was accidentally left at home. Anyway they said that carts aren't allowed in that store and that I can't go in with a cart. Which in a way I understand, they are trying to cut down on the potential of getting robbed. But again I'm irritated because what if I had my stroller and tried to walk in would they turn me away because technically it's a form of a cart. Anyone could walk in with a stroller and load it down with crappy shoes and dip. They will not be getting my customer service after that! read more

My son received a raiders jersey for his birthday that was way to big having the gift receipt I went up there to exchange or at least get store credit but because it was a gift it did not have the tags on the jersey they would not exchange or give me store credit and I don't know about you but I don't shop at places that will not give you store credit or let you exchange it the jersey was never worn and still in great condition most gifts that people received do not have the price tag on them that's why you have a gift receipt! They don't even deserve a star! Who sends out orders without checking, to see if both shoes are in the box ready to ship. Then you call the store and the manager says you can come in to the store... I got it ship to me, so no I can't go to your store then, he's like let have them look in the other boxes and see if they "try" to find the missing shoe.. comes back on the line and says they only found the a missing shoe that was 9c and not the one I order which was 10c. So you mean to tell me someone has been sold a 9c with a 10c ... because if you have a 9c missing but not a 10c...Kets just say they don't even check the shoe sizes when people buy them at the store! I am very upset the fact that I made sure I bought these shoes for my daughters birthday before they sold out. Now, guess what they are sold out... so no shoes for her birthday! This store has so much potential and it can be amazing, however...with the amount of mess and clutter, it lacks that potential. They have awesome selection of shoes, it's so awesome because we don't have to go to far down the street for real, brand name shoes. Averaging from nikes, converse, vanz. The girls selection on boots and sandals is really really cute too..but if you are big foot like I am, it's hard to find your size..and then to find a worker is even harder. So I went in today to find a pair of boots, and I found the cutest boots!! and that too for such a good price ! Another pro, the boots and their prices are amazing, anyways! so My size wasn't there for the boot that I wanted and I asked a lady who worked there and she was very nice but her little computer said that there is 1 left in my size.....and...! she couldn't find it, which is why I said the store is a hot mess. Then I try to place an order for the boots, as an employee said I could...and they wouldn't let me place it!! why? because it was less then 20$ and because it was 16.98 and not 16.99. Made no sense to me at all. If i am a paying customer and I willing to pay for the shoes upfront. Why are you turning me away?? Annoying! Anyways I ended up ordering them through the website. The staff at night are rude and disrespectful. They would not let me exchange 8.5 women's air maxes for size 9s ..they were only worn to try them on and that was it. They said no...they can't do it cuz someone put the shoes on....they were so rude it felt like reversed racism. You would be surprised at how often ppl are racist against me cuz I'm white. I've gone a couple times to this store. This last time I went was very disappointing. My daughter grabbed some sandals she wanted and when we went to the register to pay I noticed the price it rung up for was roughly $15 when the box had a sticker for $10 I mentioned it to the guy and he ripped the sticker off and said this belongs to another shoe someone put it on here. The way he said it was so rude and like stating I had done this. I didn't get the sandals because of the way he made me feel. Then him and the security started laughing it was very uncomfortable. I will not be returning here. I rather drive 20minutes out to modesto to better customer service. read more

I was in the store to pick up what I thought was a completed order. Not only were the shoes I ordered not in stock, but they would have been the wrong size. Jasmine, a store associate, was very patient with me. I wasn't happy until I realized I had ordered the wrong shoe to begin with. She just happened to ask me to just try another size of what they did have. They fit. I was off a size due to the style of shoe. Thank GOD for Jasmine because I would have had to drive another 2 hours to come back and get the wrong shoe! The manager of the store was awesome as well, she was very patient too. The store security guard helped me pick the right size at the end of the day. I love this store. First experience was a great one. I apologized for being rude to them because everyone knows I'm usually not. I'm glad they were so patient through my spoiled little baby tantrum. Try them out. You'll love it too. read more

What is the purpose of a "courtesy officer"? Treat customers rudely the moment they walk in. Not everyone walking into the store is a shoplifter. Ended up just wanting a full refund after the degradation and lack of professionalism from that individual. First and last time purchasing from that store. read more

This place opened a few months ago. I'm constantly getting coupons in the mail every few weeks for this place, so I went to check it out and see if there's anything worth buying. It has a good selection of name brand shoes in different sizes, styles, and colors with prices ranging from $29.99 to $200. Yes, $200. That's not a typo. It's not much of a discount store if that's what you're looking for. Aisles are very spacious and the store is neat and organized. I rated this place a 3 out of 5 because there's a dude who stands in the front mean mugging people. I assume he's the store security. Good selection, but I'd rather just make an online purchase or hit up the mall instead of being treated like a criminal. Work on making customers feel welcomed. read more

The store is grand with a pretty easy shopping experience, shoe boxes in the right place, big open aisles to wander, and seating and mirror in every aisle. Good job on that part WSS. The previous reviews on the Security Guy "mean mugging." I never had that experience. Sure he is doing his job as a security to prevent shrink. Minus 1 star for the longest transaction in my history of buying shoes. I work at a sneaker store too and every shop has it's own perks for new and returning customers. And to make the best experience for your customers is knowing you store product. I was next in line hoping to get taken care of by the usual lady that remembers my name and take care of me when I check out. But this time I was rung up by a younger Asian girl. she said she's been working with WSS for awhile, well I don't know about that.... I bought a pair of sneakers $100 and up so it qualified for the 20% off instore promo deal. I asked if she applied the discount and she had no clue to what I was talking about. I pulled up my phone and showed her the coupon. She almost didn't believe me and had to ask a higher up if it was legit. So after putting in my 20% off she had already hit the check out and didn't ask me for my WSS reward points card. Of course I want my points, I'm buying a 100 dollar pair of shoes! So after all that mess. My pointed were updated. Then after check out I didn't receive a $25 giftcard. There was another holiday promo, a sign in HUGE print that read "SPEND $75 or more and Receive a $25 off card". And again if this associate came to work prepared all of this could have been prevented. A store manager had to walk her through the entire process and a line was forming behind me. Other than that experience. Pros: WSS associates are friendly and responsive. Clean aisles and good selection of shoes. What could be worked on: 1. Product Knowledge. This store is excellent! I live in Fresno and often commute through Modesto. Whenever I do, I stop at this store because it's my favorite! They staff is excellent (especially the managers) and they have a wonderful selection! WSS in Ceres is the best! read more

Amazing store especially 2 lady's that wear a gray shirt not sure if they are management. One of the lady's is always polite and always lets you know any specials and always goes above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. I believe her name is Alma or Ana not sure. The other manager is also very sweet and always helping out I believe they call her jam love the team work those two lady's have. I have been working in retail for over 6years and I know it can be stressful but let me tell you every time I go shopping their and those lady's are working the store looks clean and organized and the employees are helping customers instead of just standing in one aisle talking. My favorite most best door I love shopping with my kinds and wife but recently I've seen staff change and the lady that walks around with the dodger blue colored shirt, Maribel I believe is her name often comes off rude and the way she talks to her employees is unwelcome. There will be 4-5 employees at the front talking while only one cash box is open, last time I went in I asked for assistance from Jewl M and she seemed unwilling to help and said was going to search for the shoe which she didn't she walked into the bathroom and never got back to us so we left the store. read more

Prices and selection are no better than other large retailers. Managers and staff need training: Must be able to use basic problem solving skills to provide decent customer service; managers should be trained and trusted to make sound decisions without having to make 30 minutes of phone calls; those working in retail should always have a polite attitude regardless of customer appearances and should always listen to the customer without repeatedly interrupting.
