The young lady working there had her dad on the phone, and he seemed to be guiding her through the repair. Unfortunately, the problem was never fixed. The screen started lifting, so I called around 8 PM, and he answered and told us to bring it back the next day. We did, but the same problem continued! We called and went back AGAIN, and this time he had the nerve to accuse my daughter of lying! At that point, we finally did what we should have done from the beginning and took the phone to Apple. Apple provided us with a written statement confirming that the third-party repair caused damage to the phone. Now the phone overheats and the screen goes black, problems we never had before! To make matters worse, he is now ignoring my calls. I want a full refund AND I want him to cover the cost of having Apple repair the damage they caused! It's unfortunate because I was simply trying to support a small local business, and this is what we get in return. Multiple trips, a damaged phone, and someone who refuses to take accountability for their work. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! NEVER AGAIN! Save yourself the trouble and go straight to Apple. The four local auto service departments that I had contacted (that sold and maintained the brand of car that I owned) had all declined to do this task. Various on-line auto forums had stated that this could be a hard upgrade to achieve and many owners were frustrated. I had nowhere else to turn for help until CM Computers was recommended to me. Even though this item was 'outside-the-box' for his normal services, Chaucer undertook the task and was very successful at creating that necessary update onto the car's GPS!! I came here to attempt to recover pictures and documents from two hard drives from older computers that were freezing up. I was told that the first hard drive had the pictures on OneDrive and none were on the hard drive and was charged $29 for the diagnostic. I brought in a second hard drive from another computer to attempt a second recovery because I knew that the pictures were definitely stored on there and brought an external hard drive for the transfer. The owner stated that he wanted to charge me $399 for the hard drive repair and an additional $150 for the data transfer by text after a few days. I decided not to do the work and came in to pick up my internal and external hard drive. The owner seemed surprised of my decision and threw out a hypothetical question on what the pictures were worth. I was confused on why he would even ask me that question but just told him that they were not worth the estimate that he gave me. I asked him a question about the first hard drive and telling him that I was 100% sure that the pictures were on the computer and asked him to explain it to me again and to "talk to me like I am dumb with computers and not like I am an idiot". He looked puzzled with my statement but the whole experience was condescending from day one each time that I asked a question about my computers. He is very knowledgeable but will make you feel like an idiot for asking any question to try and understand the recovery process. Both internal hard drives and external hard drive were taken to a computer repair shop in Stockton and the owner was the true computer expert. He explained the repairs to me and made me feel appreciated as a customer. He stated to me that the second internal hard drive and external hard drive were toast and that the documents and pictures could not be retrieved. I understand that the internal hard drive could have been jacked up because I had CM Computers take the drive off the repair process before it finished but my external hard drive was not broken when I brought it in to him. Thank goodness that they were able to retrieve the documents and pictures that CM Computer said were not on the internal hard from the beginning. He was able to retrieve 100% of the 12 GB of data. If anybody is willing to drive to Stockton for computer repairs, I highly recommend it. They are top notch with knowledge and customer care was amazing. He also does remote work to save you that trip if it fits your needs. I will be coming back for future computer needs.

I have been here now twice and paid them $50 to fix the screen on my phone each time just you have…read morethe screen stopped working after each time they supposedly fixed it come ask them to fix what they broke and they're trying to say all sorts of weird stuff that could be wrong with it, but they fix the crack in my but yet after about a day home, my screen just went black so then I come in and have them fix it again and then I get home and only parts of the touch on my screen will but it's not his fault. I feel like they up on the phone so I would have to come back in and pay another $50 for them to fix it.
