Fantastic quick work. Saved me a fortune. I read the other reviews and I disagree with negative comments. I had this rare DC brush wifi transmitter for a ceiling fan. Because of its wifi and the only model DC it is expensive (used one sell on eBay for over $150). My amateur diagnosis with a multimeter and I thought a capacitor was bad. No other place in town even does capacitor/circuit board repairs. But it gets better! I told the owner the capacitor was bad. He said he would confirm and repair for $20. I provided him with just 30 minutes and returned to find the device repaired. He even diagnosed the part (yes I was wrong!) and showed me the varistor was bad. Part worked as promised. I'm especially pleased as I gave him a bad diagnosis to work with. Yes he has tons of electronics in his place, but those all provide parts, don't let that scare you. I'm sure my replaced varistor (a very uncommon part to have on hand) came from some of those electronics. A real mom and pop feel, quality workmanship and now my fan works, saving me over $130. I've had a portable phonograph player/CDplayer sitting in my music room for years. It has sentimental value - given to me by one of my sisters a long time ago. I finally got up the motivation to have it fixed and took it to Digitech Electronics. It plays 33/45/ and 78 rpm records and CDs. About a week I got a phone call that it was fixed minus the CD player. After bringing it home I found it played the 33 records but at a slightly lower speed. I need to take it back and see if they can further fine tune the player. read more

In dealing with Paul, I never felt good about the way he handles his business. It started by me calling and leaving a message and he never returned my call. I called him early the next morning, told him my issue and he said he's come over and take a look. Got here almost 6 in the evening, tried to fix the Soundbar issue and couldn't. Said he would have to get a helper to lift the TV off the wall to find the issue, and that he would have to check his schedule and let me know. He didn't contact me at all, and so the following Wednesday I called him and he said he would try to come by today, but if not Saturday, because he was busy Thursday and Friday. Saturday came, so i called him and was told he had a job to do in Turlock, but after that he would be over even though his helper was still absent. I finally get a call from him about 3 o'clock and he told me he had to finish up with a dishwasher, but that he had gotten ahold of his helper and they both would come by after 3 on Monday to fix the Soundbar issue. So guess what he never showed up after 3, didn't call to let me know why, and after almost 2 weeks I still have the sound bar issue. I hope other potential customers have had better results than I have, but in all essence if your looking for electronic repairs, I would look elsewhere. read more

This place is a total mess, wall to wall broken flat screens with narrow walkways. Looks like someone is living inside as there are canned goods and food everywhere. Also a propane cookstove and a "hooka" totally filthy. The man there was very nice but did nothing after having my hi-fi for a month. Stay clear of this place if you value your equipment! Ken just fixed my vintage Nakamichi receiver. He only took a couple of weeks but considering he had to order parts that's not bad. Brought my 65" Sony to this outfit. Sorry I did not read the reviews beforehand. The most unethical and unprofessional so-called business I've ever dealt with. I brought my TV back in April. (8 months ago) , for a power board repair. The TV was only 2 years old, (4K). The man said it would only take a few days, to order the board. Days turned into weeks and eventually months. His excuse was that he couldn't get the "right" board, but he said that he would keep trying to get it. Each time I called he would complain about losing money on the shipping to get the correct board, saying he would get a defective part or the wrong one. During those 8 months, not once did he called me, whenever he said he would. I paid $1500 for the TV; his original estimate was between $250-$300; which I agreed upon it. However, to this day I never saw my TV again, and since I lost my receipt, he can now claim I lost it. Extremely shady. Total loss. BTW the only reason I gave them a star is because that's the minimum. Beware! read more

I called for an estimate on a tv repair and Paul told me to text him my information and pictures of the tv and serial number and he would send me an estimate that evening. I immediately sent him the information and pics and didnt hear back that night so I texted him back the following evening and he replies that he was extremely busy but that he had it in the office and would send it that night or the next morning. Again I hear nothing from him so I sent another follow up the next evening and he says he had a very busy day and "promises" me that he will send it that night. Just picked up my TV that lost picture (still had sound) last week. Paul offered me a free estimate over the phone so I had my hubby pull down that Tv and we headed over. Nice guy and his shop is packed full of work so I was impressed that it took less than a week for them to receive the part and get mine fixed. Very reasonable pricing for the repair. I'm thoroughly happy with their service and will refer them to everyone I know! Hope I don't have to use their services for a while but I will definitely return to them if the need arises! read more

Our Samsung TV had a problem with the power supply board. We took it in and they diagnosed it for free and gave us a reasonable estimate for the repairs. It was fixed in less than 2 weeks, and we were told that the repairs were under warranty for 6 months. After about a day, the TV started acting up again and doing the same thing it was before the repair. We called the shop and they came to the house to pick up the TV the same day. They found the TV needed a whole new power board, but also said that it may be a hard part to find. Each time we called to check up on the status, the staff was very friendly and ensured us they were still trying to locate the part. We were also told that if the part could not be found, we would get our money back due to the warranty. Luckily, they were able to find the part and gave us a call to set up a delivery time! They were able to deliver after hours and kept us informed when they were running behind schedule. When they arrived, they carried the TV into the house and up the stairs to return it to our bedroom and set it back up. Once it was set back up, they turned it on to show us that it was working and reminded us that our warranty was still valid. They made sure to tell us to call if we needed anything! Great customer service. I would use their services again. read more

As good as it gets is exactly the service we received. Excellent service! We have had various service calls for various appliances with none being very knowledgeable. Paul was not only extremely knowledgeable but he was prompt, professional and courteous. He even cleaned the screen and went over and above what we expected or shall I say what we have been used to. Outstanding service ! .... My 65" samsung DLP's cooling fans went out late afternoon the friday before memorial day and needed repair. After reading reviews for every T.V. repair shop in modesto, this was the only place I felt comfortable with. they were very nice on the phone and came and picked up the tv that day. I am disabled and had no way of getting it there so this service was a great help. they replaced the fans for a very reasonable price and delivered it when it was ready. great service overall. The worst place to go the owner does not reach out to inform the customer of what's going on with the TV you have to physically call them to get updates. I took my TV in about a month ago and have had to call multiple times to see the progress on my TV and have been told consistently that they needed a part then once the part came he keeping saying he problem kept occurring and it was taking longer than usual,bit this was weeks ago and I have not heard back on the TV and have just given up on waiting for it and have decided to just get a new TV . I had a large flat screen TV that lost its picture, it was exactly a few days after the manufacturers warranty ended (very suspicious) so I brought it down to digitech electronics and was quoted anywhere from 45-195 dollars. 2 days passed and they called saying two parts of the tv were broken and it would be 195 to fix I agreed and was told I would have the tv at the end of the week. Fast forward two weeks and numerous phone calls (I was calling them) and they finally called saying it was ready for pick up. When I arrived it took a few minutes for them to find my TV (the shop is literally jam packed full of electronics) I paid them 200 dollars in 20s (they never gave me my 5 dollars change) and they lost the power cable I gave them, however they gave me a new one free of charge. Overall the owners are very nice and seem like hardworking people who know the craft of electronics repair well, my 3 star rating mostly comes from the extra weeks I was waiting for the TV but I know every repair is different. So i would indeed use this businesses services again as the work done appears solid. read more

I took my tv in on a Thursday afternoon to get checked out. I was really close to throwing it out but a friend of mine referred me to them. Worse case I don't repair and still get a free estimate. Paul told me he would get back to me the next day to let me know what the problem is. He called as promised and gave me an estimate. I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. He told me it would be done by Tuesday. He ended up calling me Monday evening telling me it was repaired. So my tv was still done by Tuesday. I noticed too that he does appliance repair so if I ever have any appliance issues I know who to call. You can't go wrong going to Digitech. read more

This place is awesome! First of all, they travel to Mountain House! I called on a Sunday afternoon expecting to leave a voice-mail but they actually picked up. After giving them a brief explanation of the problems we were having with our TV, I was able to get a estimated quote over the phone and an appointment for the NEXT day. The prices are VERY reasonable and customer service is really good. We had our TV fixed and delivered back like new within one week! Honest service, efficient and quality work! My 10-year-old 65 inch Mitsubishi TV went out randomly over the weekend (Saturday a.m.) and I called Digitech. Paul was very courteous and thorough. He picked up the part of the TV on Sunday a.m. and took it back to his shop and had it back to my house on Tuesday after I got home from work, with success! I am happy to say I will not be paying for an upgrade at this time and I will be putting more mileage on this tv ! Furthermore, my TV has a picture like I just brought it home from the store! The price was very reasonable as well. i will be calling Digitech for all my electronic repairs from now on. I highly recommend this company and am a happy customer! P.s. I've called on thrift store finds and they have told me whether to buy it or not and I've brought multiple items in where they thought it was just not worth it fix and no charge! My most recent TV was a dell tv I found in the dumpster. They quoted me at a price and even though something more major was wrong they kept it on budget! They keep their word and are professionals! I am very frustrated with them. They were great about coming right out to Stockton and was able to diagnose my problem with my 60 inch lg. After a month and a week, four times the tv was going to be dropped of at the house I finally said just bring it back. I was repeatedly told the mother board went out and they put two different ones in. Each of them eventually were defective and the only other place that had them for sale wanted double the price for it. Was told the hdmi 1 was the only thing not working then told all of them are cutting out. Month and a half later I have a tv sitting in my living room that does not turn on. Also each time they were to drop it off they never so much as gave me a phone call. Had to rearrange my schedule each time. Curtisy call in the future at least, thank you. read more

Very professional, honest and friendly. Paul came to our house and looked at our tv....assessed the problem and gave us an estimate right there. He hauled our tv to their shop for us and even offered a loaner tv until our main tv can be repaired. Their shop is conveniently located, but seeing as they come to your house to pick up and return, that might not even be an issue. They were a week late returning our tv to us, but there was extenuating circumstances that arose. If it had not been for that, I'm sure we would've had it brought back to us in the time specified. There was no hidden cost....everything was above board. They even back their work for up to 180 days.
