Got tired of the lack of customer service from the big box stores, so my wife and I found direct appliance. At first everything went well, we appreciated the selection and the knowledge of the ranges. After we selected the range, a quote was written up. We pondered it for a few days then returned and placed our order paying cash for a range and matching microwave. The wait wasn't terribly long, and the day came to install our appliances. Everything was fine, the installers were nice and professional, until we noticed that the range was not the one we wanted. The installers had already taken our old range and when we went back to show room that afternoon, we were told we could get the floor model because a new range would take more than a week. We reluctantly agreed. The store manager only seemed interested in getting the installed range back in his inventory and didn't seem to think us waiting for new one was a big deal. Ultimately, we are very disappointed in direct appliance and will be giving them anymore business. read more

Speed queen hahaha the finish line to the Manager I would not recommend this washer to anyone. The machine itself is disappointing, but the biggest issue is the so-called "warranty." The wording is intentionally vague, with no clear explanation of what's actually covered for residential versus commercial use. When I reached out for support, I got the runaround--every answer felt like an excuse to avoid honoring the warranty. If a company can't be upfront about what protections come with their product, that's a huge red flag. 1. I should have looked at reviews before doing business with this company. This is the first time I've ever written a negative review. 2. I purchased a refrigerator, wall oven, dishwasher, and range top. I worked with Sales Representative Jeanette. 3. Initailly I was charged 650.00, which was reduced by 300.00 as they couldn't install the wall oven.for delivery and installation for all 4 appliances. It ended up, after 3 service calls to be a total of 1,450 after they had a third party Jack Rocha to install the wall oven The wall oven installation was 850.00 for the first day and 300.00 The second. 4. On the first service call a door frame was scrapped and paint was was scrapped off the door frame. 5. I called Jeanette to ask for help with Jack Rocha as I had received No invoices and I wanted a breakdown of the costs. I also wanted Her to talk to them about all the charges as he obviously does a lot of work for them as a third party. NO HELP...not even An Offer to reimburse me for the door damage. 6. Leason learned. I just should have gone to Lowe's or Home Depot and to use the people that do work for Me to install everthing. High attention . Should read carefully thier sale policy before purchasing things. They delivered the cooktop unboxed to us and it wasn't look like the new one. We brought it back to thier store immediately after their delivery service delivered it to us but they only accepted the return by charging us 25% on invoice. And it took a week to get back the refund. Bad bad sales service. Don't expect they will open the door for you when you bringing items for returning. Though a sales guy was standing right at the entrance door while he saw my husband carried heavy cooktop, this guy just looked at my husband and let him struggle to open the door to go in. Didn't return calls to me or my ins adjuster ( house fire ) then charged me 25% for restock fee when I canceled. I paid the installer jack Rocha 125 for a service that couldn't be performed - then he wanted more to come back to assess the cost of installing the range- and install the dishwasher for another fee! He recommended Vincent who I used. Don't think an installer should recommend a salesman - that might make the other salepeople angry. I've bought several high end appliances from Direct. My fridge was getting repaired under warranty and whirlpool scheduled my appointment a week out for service. Direct appliance contacted me directly and was able to get me an appointment a lot sooner. They said when it comes refrigerators they make it a priority to come out as soon as they can. They came out to diagnose my fridge and ordered all the parts they needed to fix it. It did take some time to get all the parts but they were able to come back and got my fridge working again. Anthony the service tech was amazing!! He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was very verbal and explained to us what was going on and what he needed to do and how long it would take. He wore shoe covers into our house which was very polite. We paid for install and take away of old appliances. They couldn't install one of our appliances so they took away the kit so now we have an appliance with no cord and they will not give us a cord. This review is a little late, but hope to help you all. So, back in early November, our dryer went out. My parents wanted to buy us a new one for a, "early Christmas gift." So, they decided to shop at Direct Appliance on McHenry. They ordered us a brand new Samsung dryer. After they purchased it at the store, Direct Appliance ordered the dryer from Samsung, not from their own warehouse or even from their store. So around about a week and a half, the item arrives from their delivery truck. The item is damaged. A big dent is on the side of the dryer, brand new dryer. The delivery guys informed us, my wife and I they would call the salesman. After they call them, the salesman that my parents ordered from was not there. The individual they spoke to told me, they can credit us $100 if we want to keep the dryer or just return it. Course, we chose to return it and get a replacement. So weeks go by, my parents are calling them to get updates, and they don't have any. They end up telling my parents it will come before Christmas. Yeah right it never did! I started calling them myself and they gave me the run around that it was in transit but they apparently had no updates, and couldn't even track the shipping. How does that even make any sense?? So as it was getting closer to New Years. We canceled the damn order! My parents got their money back and we went to Home Depot over off Carpenter Rd and Blue Gum and ordered the exact same dryer but an LG, same price. It came as guaranteed in one week from the purchase date and it was all in tact! The delivery guys were great and installed everything and took our old one away, no problem. This place, Direct Appliance I can tell you isn't good! They will gaslight you. Also, I have heard from numerous people in Modesto who have used them, that their products are damaged a lot. We are having our kitchen redone and we ordered all of our appliances through direct appliance two months in advance, when it came time they promised they'd be delivered, Nothing showed up. We had to go to Home Depot to get the refrigerator. All others were late. Worst experience with an appliance store. If you want good service go to Home Depot I do not recommend you go to Direct Appliance they do not follow up. They do not even tell you when things will be late. If you're looking to purchase a full set of appliances to your kitchen at a reasonable price, then this company may work for you. My wife and I had a great experience working with RJ (the good looking one).  He took a lot of time to understand how we used our kitchen and how much of an investment we were looking to make.  Due to Covid, some of the manufacturers were late on delivery, but RJ worked with me to find a replacement for our Range. All was going great until the Range was unboxed and we found damaged.  I had my kitchen project manager head down to the warehouse to inspect their stock in order to exchange the damaged range we received.  Somehow he ended up bring a good unit before returning the old one. The warehouse manager called me and was so rude because i didn't bring the damaged unit.  He put pressure on me to bring in the damaged unit by a certain time or else.  "Or else what?!"..... The whole experience was good up to this point. We have been enjoying our appliances and I would recommend this company with the following tips: -Must work with RJ -Make sure to take delivery on the days RJ is working in case there are issues with the product -Inspect the product first before installing, this includes the removal of the plastic covering from the stainless steel -Keep the cardboard intact as best as possible in case you have to return -Do not take calls from the warehouse.  Work through RJ no matter what RJ is the only reason I'm giving this a company a recommendation.  He really made things right as best as possible.  If it wasn't for the bad experience with the warehouse,  i would have given this 5 stars. I ordered a refrigerator and freezer (separate units) from direct appliance. Total cost 20k. I had to pay 1/2 up front. It took over a year for them to arrive. Once they arrived they came to install them and upon arrival it was discovered the trim kits were not included so they could not install them. I was told they could leave the refrigerator and freezer at my home or I would have to pay direct appliance to take them back and store them. I did not want to take responsibility for them so I paid the extortion money. I was also told I should order the trim pieces through Lowe's which I did. A delay of 2 months. BTW did I not pay for a total install? The trim pieces arrived and the technician (Alex) came to install the refrigerator and freezer. When installing he realized the stainless steel fronts were the wrong size. Install still not complete. No handles to open either. Refrigerator and freezer installed. I was told the correct size panels were more expensive however direct appliance would not charge me the extra cost (ummmm wtf really). Direct appliance ordered the right panels and several months later receive the panels and return to install them (I requested Alex return to install the panels and was told Alex took some time off. Oh I had Alex's cell number and called him to ask when he would be back.....his response was "they laid me off". Why lie to a customer?) only to determine one is bent and can't be installed. Install still not complete. The only positive part of this entire situation has been the person that I have been dealing with from direct appliance. RJ he is very communicative and honest. Responsive and A very good man. I don't know why he is with direct appliance. I have a friend who has experienced the same type of service from direct appliance. Buyer beware. This company use to be the best of the best. I have no idea as to what has changed. read more

They told my mom that they could not repair her dryer because it need a new pulley and it was not available and she needed a new motor. It's really a tight squeeze in our small laundry room, and they had to remove a front loader washer and front loader dryer.
