The prices of NEW appliances are outrageous! I had a power surge problem and it fried all my appliances! I'm a retired, fixed income, senior citizen. I went to TONY'S USED APPLIANCE, on Railroad Ave. in Ceres, They were the nicest people, super friendly and most of all, AFFORDABLE! The appliance comes with 90 day warranty. And YES they stand behind every appliance they sell. So I basically got a new kitchen I could afford, refrigerator with ice and water in door,side by side, range and oven, ( gas,)for less than I would have paid for just a range and oven!! These guys are the best! Try them out if you ever get into a jam. They deliver and take the old stuff away. Quality Service at its best.....Our company CPM recently was in need of a washer/dryer combo to replace a unit in a rental. Searched a handful of other appliance repair companies, I called and visited each business to see the type of product and warranty they have to offer. My first 2 visits were some what disappointing and when I called Tony's Appliance and spoke to Yvette she was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. When I visited their business I was pretty impressed on how everything was set up the best thing is they have many different varieties of appliances, financing option and lastly a 90 day warranty (other companies did not offer that). Being new here and trying to fill a house with everything is a huge strain on the budget. I was thrilled to find a place where I could buy refurbished appliances for a fraction of the cost. I went online, saw what I wanted, called and ordered it. They were extremely accommodating with delivery, especially since I work. The two delivery gentlemen showed up on time, and they were just the nicest people. They realized that I was alone, and they said usually they don't plug in the fridge for 45 minutes to let the freon settle from the ride but they didn't want me to have to move the big appliance (I look kind of pathetic I guess!) so they plugged it in, moved it back and then TURNED IT OFF! They showed me how to turn it on after the requisite amount of time. Seriously made my day. I will definitely be back for more appliances. read more

I have been replacing appliances at my house, it's one of those seasons where everything wants to break. After replacing a dryer last month, my hot water heater and stove decided to die three days apart! I found this business on YELP, checked their reviews and website, and finally went to look in person. I found the exact size stove I needed in the color I wanted fora great price. They told me Monday delivery, which was two days away, 12-4. The texted me at noon saying the stove was on its way. By 12:15, it was installed. Every employee has been warm and friendly. The stove is working great, I haven't used the oven yet due to 100 degree weather, but all the other parts work great. I'll highly recommend this business. read more

After our 12 year old loyal washer gave up we got a whirlpool washer from Tony's. 3 days later i lifted the top to find water in the washer(which is a common problem I later found out). Called Ivette last night and woke up to a nice handyman who took 20 minutes to fix it. 3 washes later it's still going strong! Super fast service. Totally recommend . read more

This is my first review on Yelp in over a year. I just reset my password since I forgot it, but when I was here, I figure I comment on Tony's Appliances and my wonderful experience with them. I moved recently to a new duplex where it didn't provide a refrigerator and has washer and dryer hookups. I was looking at all appliance stores, even went to a similar used appliance warehouse type and they weren't able to find me a black refrigerator to fit the style of appliance in my kitchen. Then I went to Craigslist, for used fridges, and kept going from page to page for a black refrigerator until I came up with one from Tony's Appliances. Apparently they have a Facebook account, I no longer do, but they have pics posted on that site. So I found the refrigerator I wanted, but was a 21 cubic foot sized fridge. I call the shop to see if it was available (It was posted on craigslist a couple hours earlier), which it was, but had to see the dimensions to make sure the fridge can fit in the corner between my counter space and wall adjacent to the hall. When I arrived, I was welcomed by Ivette and she ensured me based on my dimensions it would fit. She was absolutely correct. Fits like a glove. I needed a fridge asap as I just moved in and over a week was getting tired of eating out . So the delivery was the next day, on Saturday. Perfect. I was looking for a washer and dryer, and Ivette did have a pair of Kenmore washer and dryer, but I held out since I'm on a budget and was waiting for my tax returns. The next day my fridge did show up on the scheduled time of 11-4 (Arrived about 3:00 pm.. I was antsy!) It scared me a bit, but when the delivery guys came, the fridge was leaking.. but it must have been due to condensation with the fridge driving all around town in tow. After draining the water and suggested by the delivery guys to wait an hour then power on, the fridge since then hasn't been any electrical or leakage problems whatsoever. I was happy with the purchase! about a week later, I got my tax returns and called Ivette back again, but the washer and dryer was already sold, but she promised that even though it was mixed brand, Kenmore washer, and whirlpool dryer was offered the same price as the original. Both machines work great as well! I was more than happy with my purchases. It's been over a couple weeks since my purchase, and I do have a couple more months left of the 90 day warranty. I mention this cause I'm sure I bought reliable appliances and I will update my review after the 90 day warranty is completed. Highly recommend this place and they are friendly and very cooperative with their customers. read more

Had trouble finding the place, but once I did they had the part I needed. I had called ahead and they were able to tell me the part I was looking for was in stock. The lady working there was very friendly and made sure the part I was picking up mother exactly the model washing machine I had. Don't let the exterior or "the showroom" floor fool you. Yvette, To respond to your comment on my review of your business. First of all between the two refrigerators we bought from you, neither worked for 30 days straight. We had to keep calling you to come and fix them. They never worked correctly. Yes it was past the 90 days, but you should have given our money back for all the trouble we went through. The fridge damaged our living room and kitchen from all the water damage from the leaking fridge. As I said before, it will be hard to ever trust anyone again on used merchandise. read more

My dryer stopped working and a friend recommended a guy whom I called and told me over the phone to just buy a new one. So instead I took it to Tony's. And within a few days they had it fixed and for only $80. It's been a few months and it's working well. I'm very satisfied! read more

Today Monday, February 20th, 2017, I had a terrible issue where my old wash machine would not stop overfilling or agitate at all for that matter. I watched youtube videos where they were saying it was a water pressure issue. I even called sears, since my washer was a kenmore and they told me it was a water pressure switch issue. After trying to replace it, the machine still wouldn't work! SEARS said it was defective and quoted me $700 for a new Kenmore washer by itself!! Devastated I began shopping around for a better price, that's when a friend recommended Tony's. As soon as they opened at 10AM, I called and spoke to Evette, who quoted me a new washer for a FRACTION of the price what sears quoted me, with free same day delivery, and a 90 day warranty! My new washer arrived and was installed within an hour! Thank you so much Evette! Thank you Tony's Appliances! Literally stood me up. The washing machine I purchased does not spin unless manually reset every cycle, so I requested that they take it back, all of these requests within the 90day warranty. I was told I'd have to have the tech look at it first. The tech was unhelpful and essentially incapable of understanding my issue with the washer. I called the next morning and asked that they take it back. I was designated a time of pickup the next day between 5:30 and 6:30 pm on what was conveniently the last day of my warranty. I have not received a call or any pickup and the time is now an hour after the scheduled time. They have been unreachable, rude, and unwilling to be of any actual help or service. Edit to the response: my issue is that I was promised a pickup. I have since called from a new number and identified in voicemails how to contact me. If you won't refund then all I'm asking is that you pick up the product that does not work. I do not want another product that I don't feel I can rely on. All I'm asking is for a pickup that I was already promised. read more

This place is horrible. My dryer was making a noise, when there to buy a belt. They talked me into bring the dryer in for them to fix. Mind you the dryer was drying clothes, after them having it for 12 days I bring it home and the yes it's quiet however it no longer dry clothes. Took it back down to them and they call me 5 days later and state the dryer is working just fine. Pick it up and I kid you not the dryer still doesn't dry clothes. It cost me $100.00 to have them break my dryer... Wow!!! Also the customer service associates need some training. read more

I just bought my 4th appliance from Tony's, and I will keep going back. They are good people and have treated us well. The prices are good and delivery is prompt. They also honor their warranty. The bargain basement dryer I bought 5 years ago seemed to be running too hot. I called, and without any argument they delivered a replacement the next day. I just upgraded to a nicer dryer and before delivery they tested it and it wasn't running right. They delivered a nicer one on time. Their prices are good, and I'd rather pay a few bucks more than Craigslist and have delivery, and removal of the old one if needed, and someone who stands behind their sales. read more

What can I say???..When I first arrived to there shop it looked a bit disorganized but I was on a budget and they had everything I needed at a resin able price...it's been 4 years since I've purchased my washer / dryer and fridge and they are still running great!!!... After taking our dryer there for a diagnosis we learned that the motor went out. They quoted us a price of $80 for a used motor and would provide a 30 day warranty. My husband wanted to know what the difference would be in cost to just get a brand new motor installed and we were quoted it would be $15 more however we would not get any warranty. As this sounded strange we asked why wouldn't they warranty a new motor being installed and you would give a 30 day for a used motor. The gal we had been working with couldn't answer this question with certainty and just said "well it's new, so you won't need one." After we insisted that she speak with the owner to at least give some sort of warranty on installation or against a defective motor she never called us back. My dryer stood there for 3 weeks! We did play a little bit of phone tag but nothing that made up for the dryer needing to be there for 3 weeks. We finally just picked up our dryer because we knew we weren't getting anywhere. My husband went to an appliance dealer to buy a new motor himself where it cost us $150 for a brand new motor. When we asked why so much in the cost difference as we were just quoted $80 from Tony's Appliance to install a new one the guy at the shop said there's no way a brand new motor would cost $95 for the dryer we had. Most likely they were going to put in a used motor for that price. In the course of the three weeks we continued to call Tony's and we got a few different people on the line and couldn't get the same gal on the phone. (She was somehow in charge) Someone finally said "she was on vacation." My thoughts are this; If you're going to run a business please be honest and upfront. Too bad for the other people who answered our calls and didn't know what to tell us, I'm sure they were just saying whatever they were told. I do NOT recommend anyone bringing their appliance to be fixed here because I feel like I was going to be deceived and not really get a new motor for my dryer. I had read previous comments about them not honoring their warranties and I guess it just saved me more headaches down the road. Lesson learned about Tony's. On a good note, my husband was able to install a new motor and our dryer is up and running! (He had never done this type of repair before but he is a pretty good handyman. He just asked lots of questions to the auto parts dealer where he bought the motor from and we are back in the game!) read more
