i had been a customer for about 35 yrs or more. as of now, because of the way the manager, i believe his name is gregg, tried to make me look bad infront of all the customers and employees. 1st off he was dead wrong about my issue! and 2nd, he was wrong about the way he spoke to me in the store.. absolute clown. ill be contacting corporate aswell with much more details about this incident.. do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but this store across from bank of the west on mchenry.. save yourself the headache of dealing with this a*****e read more

If you go here and can't find a specific product, the guys standing behind the counter gossiping like old hens won't do too much more than just tell you what aisle the product is on. They can't be torn away from their obviously engrossing conversations about their "homies" long enough to actually help. After 10 minutes of looking by myself, I left and went to AutoZone and found the valve stem tool I was looking for, so it worked out in the end. read more

I had a return to do that was purchased at another store. This store would not return it told me I didn't come up in the system, I had the receipt. The employee (name started with a V) straight lied to me telling me no account came up under my phone number and I would need to go the store I bought it from. Many miles away! I went to that store and they returned it no problem. Said the other store could have returned it and choose not to. Avoid this store, employees are liars and lack customer service! read more

They didn't have the part, but they found it for me in another O'Reilly store in nearby Ceres. Daniel put it on reserve for me. ...Now I can go to that special event in San Francisco tomorrow night! I came in and asked one of the workers to come and check my dipstick because it is an aftermarket dipstick for the oil of my Acura and the little white lady with glasses, looked at her coworker. Also a white guy with big, black, circular glasses. I had a dead battery. I called and spoke with the manager, Chris. Long story short...he came to my house, jump started my car, then (back at the store) tested my battery, and installed a new one along with new wiper blades. Chris has only been at this store since Feb, '19. If the rest of the customer service is like this..and what I saw says it is...I would return to this store in a heartbeat. I went to O'Reillys today about 230pm- 3 workers standing around doing nothing- place completely empty - and asked for help with my windshield wipers- since I was having a hard time getting it off to see if they would help. The little loser behind the counter wasn't able to help "since it's against policy" (purchased wipers elsewhere a few weeks ago) again place was dead- not a soul in there - so I went right across the street to the new Autozone where they were more than happy to check the wipes and install for me even though I didn't purchase them at AutoZone. O'Reillys may want to get their shit together and learn about customer service- I'll never go back again to even purchase the smallest of items. One unhappy customer- tells the average of 100 people. With AutoZone right across the street I don't foresee OReillys in business at that location much longer. read more

My wife and I stopped into this place to replace a battery in my sons GTI 15 minutes before closing, they said no time! Went to Autozone and they dropped a battery in short order. Sad service. read more

Was having trouble with my alternator light coming on. Saying it was over charging. Ask the guy in there what I should do. He said he would test it. Said it was good but noticed my battery cable was loose an said that could cause it to be over charging. I never heard of that but said ok bought a cap to put on my battery so the cable would be tight. Haven't had a problem sence. Wish I knew the guys name so I can give him props. Could have been a whole lot more of a headache if he wouldn't have caught that. read more

The Assistant manager is so rude and very unwilling to work with customers. We bought a few items at this location that were on sale .we always make sure to give them the phone number to keep track of our purchases.We needed to return the items because one of the employees didn't put the sale in the computer correctly leaving us out of a chance for a refund or exchange. When we went back to the store to try and exchange the products the assistant manager was very rude , and unwilling to even hear us out. He has a bad vibe about him just unpleasant to deal with. Never even got to request availability for a part I found on their website as it says to "call for availability" guess business is so good they can turn it way. I've always had nothing but good experiences at this O'Reilly parts store. The staff is always friendly and very helpful and when I was injured they would come out to my car and put wipers on my car and grab my battery and do everything they could to help me out. I buy all my car care products here and they carry my favorite meguiars stuff. They aren't always the cheapest, but when i find a better price, they price match it. I went into this store 3 times this week 1. bought $112 worth of tune up parts (plugs, Plug wires,fuel and air filter) 2. New windshield wipers 2 Front 1 Rear for my Minivan and 3. a washer relay module a $13 part. I called first to see if they had it it took them a while to find the right one in the computer. When I got there The person behind the counter could not find it in the computer and had me go pull the one out of my car he matched it up but was not sure. I paid for the new one went out to my car it did not work, I took it back in and said I would get an orig one from Ford. It had been less than a min. He ask the manager and he said NO REFUNDS but would exchange it. If my business for hundreds of Dollars is not worth a $13 Refund for a wrong part tried in there parking lot That is a VERY BAD Business decision. ( by the way the part I pulled out of my car didn't look anything like the part they sold me. so I was not pulling a scam. I will never ever shop at that location again The were not helpful and not friendly and don't back their Life Time warranty on a small part I can not trust them for big purchases either. Let me start by saying O'reilly's was my main auto parts needs. I went into this one on McHenry for a part that needed to be replaced. I told the guy that I was not sure what it was called but it was from the engine. He said he didnt know what it was and then asked the make and modle of my car. he tells me that O'reilly's doesn't sell it. His assitant Manger Ed, was there and didn't come and help(he was just standing there) and the guy(I can not rember his name, it started with a Col) that was "helping" me put in no effort and kidna seamed put out that he was having to work. Anyways, went to Pep Boys up the street from them and they had an idea before the computer check and I had two people that helped me find what I needed. which was a PVC tube! I have no problem that my car part was not there it was the lack of customer service that I had a problem with. I will never go back to the McHenry O'Reilly's ever! read more

OK, Never had a need to review an auto parts store and I have never been to this particular store. Googled the nearest store cause I needed wiper blades and it was raining so I skipped Pep Boys which was farther away. As soon as I enter the store, a young man at the register offers to help me. I said i was just there to get the blades and I could find them. He politely insisted he could get them faster and after I told him my vehicle description he offered three different price ranges. When I picked the mid pair, he even went and got them, I did not expect that. After the sale, he offered to put them on! Never had that kind of service before. I wish I had got his name O'Reilly's can expect all my business in the future. read more
