Let me start by saying that I was not a fan of Mobile phones. I did not like the prices, phones that shatter when dropped, inconsistent coverage area, connection speed, lack of storage space, incompatible accessories and most of the off-shore customer service. . I spent several hundreds of dollars trying all of the the carriers in my area without success, losing business customers and money in the process. Needless to say, I expected more of the same at Verizon when I presented my challenges to Mike Johnson at your Maricopa, AZ store. I am a former computer repair tech from back in the day. But, when it comes to technical expertise, Mike Johnson and Ernie Maruffo are light years ahead of where I was when I stopped working on Surface-to-Air Missiles. Ernie Maruffo is the patient one always extremely patient, Mike is very resourceful creative one that thinks outside the box. Together, they have resolved our problems working several hours in the process. They continued to my wife with mastery of her phones and my problem phones for several months. From time to time, they suggested new phones as appropriate, but never never pressed us to buy one. Sometimes we were in your store sometimes once a week with Mobile phone issues, Mike and Ernie Maruffo never complained. This indicates they truly value their customers. Finally, the day came when the inevitable happened. One by one my three phones had to be replaced. Mike and Ernie got together with Dave to work a little magic. We reviewed my options and they helped me to I switch to two Galaxy J7 V's and my wife's replacement phone has been ordered as well.Our our problems are now history. The deal that they offered is too ridiculous to put in print. Let's just say that my wife and I are now very happy campers and highly recommend Verizon, Mike, Ernie, Dave and Dallas Speer to help make your Wireless challenges go away. When I first mentioned I was changing carriers from T Mobile to Verizon I was warned about the severe drop off in the quality of service I would receive. I should have listened. From my first visit to a Verizon wireless store to transfer my family's phone lines from T Mobile to the new carrier things were wrong. I was told my mother could get her number activated remotely only to find out they disconnected her T Mobile line without starting the Verizon one, and were shipping me a SIM card instead. This was a problem because until her retirement, she worked as an educator in a high-crime area of Glendale. The same thing happened to my fiancée; who thankfully worked from home and was largely unaffected by this snafu. When I went into the corporate Verizon store I was once again lied to by an agent named Jonathan, who told me he would be able to activate the lines over the phone after the SIM cards arrived. I waited, and when the SIM cards arrived I called Jonathan only to learn that I would have to go into the store anyway. After taking time off work to get this done it was finally achieved, a week after it should have been resolved. Unfortunately, the promises Jonathan made to me regarding the discounts and waived activation fees for the lines were just as empty as the rest of the words I've received from Verizon agents. I had to pay an $800 bill just to get my family plan started. Six months later I made the mistake of calling my local Verizon Wireless store to attempt a surprise phone upgrade for my fiancée. The agents I spoke on the phone with, Renzo and Jah, both told me that my local store had the specific iPhone she wanted in stock and would be able to upgrade her phone today. I took time off work and we made a morning of it, but when we arrived at the store they not only did not have the iPhone in stock, it isn't in stock anywhere in the phoenix valley! I spoke with a corporate customer care representative and they confirmed that model is on a 10-day back order, and is not available in Phoenix. This company is inherently dishonest and I would not recommend them even as a last ditch option. If there is a better option for cell service in the city Maricopa please reach out to me. Verizon's best competitor has a family plan waiting for them. If you are on the fence about starting a plan with this company and have another option, I would think again. read more

Very sketchy tactics and lied to me about more than one aspect of my contract and phone upgrade. I asked several different ways to understand the potential charges and pros and cons of upgrading my phone and at best they were intentionally dodgy with their answers and at worst, they frankly lied to me about aspects of it. I wish I would have read reviews before going to this store-- strongly recommend against, you'll see unexpected charges and fees for awhile if you use their services. Bummer. read more

am filling a complaint with the Maricopa, Arizona Verizon store. I went in to ask some questions on setting up texting since Verizon disabled their text app. The Associate Crystal said since my wife and were customers for over 11 years we can have new Phones for FREE! I asked a lot of questions to make sure there were no strings attached and Crystal confirmed they were absolutely free. After my wife and I said ok , Crystal then said that I would have to pay the taxes on the phones and transfer fees. I paid that. Crystal also said that there would be 10.00 added per person phone. I was paying 137.00 for both monthly which meant the new bill would be 157.00. I received a new bill for 274.00 and that next bill would be 185.00 and called Verizon customer service and they couldn't explain anything. Apparently Crystal added upgrades without my consent. After talking to customer service they they would drop my next bill to 158.00, again the next bill came in at 169.00 which was higher than what I was told. I called customer service again with no help. They lack the knowledge. After being frustrated with them I decided to switch carriers. Now I received a bill for 2266.44. I went back to the store in Maricopa, Arizona and talked the manager Jared Zavala and Crystal. Jared said because I cancelled my Verizon account they are charging me the 2266.44 which is not right. Jared even acknowledged that the were FREE though I was to have the for 3 years which I was not informed on initial visit with Crystal. They printed out what was supposed to have my signature though that is not the way sign my signature which is not mine!! I told Jared the manager I would give the phones back and Jared refused. Bottom line I was scammed and nobody in that store or customer service is honest. I am not going to pay the 2266.45 read more

Came in because I switched over from T-Mobile to Verizon and our new phone and number was not connecting to the IMessage and FaceTime. Didn't have to wait long cause I came in a few mins after opening but the girl that helped me was rude. There were a few steps that she was implying to do from the old phone but I didn't have it with me at the time and I know that was my fault but the way she was talking to me and the tone was just rude and condescending. Bought an iPhone 15 last week. Young lady that I worked with was very pleasant. After getting home I made numerous attempts to sinc it with my watch with no luck. Went back to store today to get help. A different young lady became available so I explained my issue. While she is talking to me she is texting someone else, not looking at me. Had to open up my phone several times for her since she was busy texting and not paying attention. After several minutes she looked up and said, we can do it but it will be $40. I came in because my phone keeps going in "sos mode". Well Crystal informed me I am eligible for an upgrade. $800 towards a new phone. I said "the last person told me $400 for an upgrade". She then proceeded to tell me it was $800 if I upgraded my plan. So, of course I am filled with lies the minute I walk through the door. She then handed me my phone back and says "you are good to go". Okay, I guess we don't have answers, except I can get a new phone. She said she reset my phone. Said it would be fixed the next day and I could pick it up then. Went back and still not fixed. I told them to cancel it and I will buy it online. I really need a phone and didn't want to wait. They said the manager would fix it the next day. It's a week later. It's still on my account. And I still don't have a phone. I called the Verizon main number and they can't fix it. I have yet to have a positive experience at this particular store. Whenever I have gone in there because something was wrong with my phone, the answer was always, "It is broken beyond repair, so why don't I show you the most expensive phone we have to replace it?" Each time, I went somewhere else, and they told me that it was just a standard repair problem (or even a memory card once. Yes, they wanted me to buy a new phone because my old one was running slow due to low storage). More importantly though is their tendency to falsely advertise the products they sell. I do not know if this is a deceitful business practice or a display of their complete incompetence. I was sold several overpriced products that the salesperson specifically said were the best at protecting the new phone. They said the liquid glass would keep the screen safe no matter what and had an amazing warranty. And why buy an overpriced case from Case-Mate? Well, because you can drop it off a roof, and between that and the liquid glass, the phone will be safe. And if the case doesn't do its job? Lifetime warranty to help cover the device! Sound too good to be true? Congratulations, you're smarter than a Verizon GoWireless employee. The phone broke after a 2 foot fall. Both companies found a way out of the warranty. The liquid glass? To protect against scratches. Do not go here. Make the short drive to an actual Verizon store. I know companies want our money for the least amount of work, but if I actually listened to everything I was told here, I'd have spent an extra $1,000 plus. They actually deserve zero stars. Do not do business with this store. I went in to upgrade my phone and was assured the model I upgraded to was capable of charging wirelessly (that was a must for me). After purchasing and setting it up I ordered a wireless charger online...once it arrived I found out the phone I was assured was capable of wireless charging was not. I went back to the store to return the upgrade at the end of January about 10 days after purchasing it. The return was due to misinformation from the sales person and the assistant manager was trying to charge me the restocking fee. After arguing with him, he called the store manager and got approval to waive the restocking fee. Thought I was in the clear. Then he wouldn't refund the $30 screen protector they sold me with the phone. I argued some more and he wouldn't budge, so I left and called the store manager directly. After the horrible service I decided to leave Verizon all together. I was able to speak directly with the store manager who assured me they would give me a full refund if I would return the upgraded device to the store, so I returned and they refunded my money. Again, I thought I was in the clear. Unfortunately, the store didn't log the return to my account and two months later I am still dealing with Verizon who twice has pulled hundreds of dollars out of my account (currently on the phone with them for the 3rd time trying to resolve the issue...the store isn't answering the phone so they can't verify the return). THE WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED...ZERO ACCOUNTABLILITY. Do not do business with this store. read more

Nothing is worse than having to deal with salespeople when you trying to get phones. My husband and I found go wireless located at the Fry's marketplace mall in Maricopa and we were worried we'd have to be standing in line and waiting forever to get served and then having to wheel and deal with the sales people. Did not happen we were helped almost immediately even when the store was crowded. our sales person who was Jose was fabulous. Knowledgeable easy to deal with , not pushy honest and seem to really have an interest in the people he was working . José made our experience a very good one. Horrible service. We walked in planning to switch from AT&T but the person (Lorena) who was supposed to help us was unable to provide ANY assistance on how to do that. At every question, she had to ask the guys sitting behind the counter who would answer her question and then come back to give us the answer. Answers prompted more questions she was unable to answer. I was amazed at the service in this store! I was greeted warmly and only had to wait about 5 minutes before someone came to help me. My husband and I purchased 3 phones and 2 of them were overheating, and would not work until they cooled off. Manager Ernie M to the rescue!! He quickly exchanged the phones and we were very pleased with his level of care and concern. Since then, I have come back many times because I'm electronically challenged, lol. I need help with all these new phones, so I've been there practically daily. Even when it is extremely busy the staff has always taken their time to help me. Great service. I recently switched from AT&T to Verizon. I'm not sure if his name was Jake or Jack (red headed gentlemen) but he was outstanding. I didn't have to wait long, I was able to easily transfer my service and left with everything I needed and wanted. I appreciate the one on one approach and dedication to each customer. I have had my Verizon account over ten years but usually use the location near the Chandler Mall. I live here in Maricopa so I wanted to stay local to purchase my new phone and get set up. I purchased my phone over a year ago and had incredible service. I got the new LGV10, the manager walked me through everything setting it up for me making sure I understood and very comfortable using it. This morning on my drive into work my phone froze, it froze on the welcome screen. On my way home from work I stopped by the Maricopa location cause it was where I purchased the phone and was near my home. I showed them what it was doing, the employee helping me looked at it and quickly said my phone is stuck in a boot up loop. I felt good he was able to pin point the issue so quickly. But then continued to tell me my only option was to purchase a new phone. He told me this is very common with the LGV10 and can not be fixed. He said my phone is out of warranty being over a year old. When i asked what Verizon could do to help he pointed the finger at LG saying it is their product. He told me Verizon would do nothing to help, he seemed more interested in selling me a new phone. After going home I contacted LG. LG's customer service was amazing. They knew what was going on with my phone. Said no worries they will take care of it free of charge as long as my phone does not have any physical damage like a broken screen or anything.Within five minutes LG had emailed me a shipping label to ship my phone to them and said total time would be less than two weeks to have my phone shipped back to me fixed after i drop it in the mail. The young man in the store told me the activation would take 24 hours ?.?and I would have to pay $20.00 for them to transfer my contacts, he then told me they were not a Verizon store. hmmm store says Verizon on the outside but is not a Verizon store?
