I went in on a Sunday afternoon to upgrade to a new phone. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and only waited a couple of minutes for help. Gabriel was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and efficient - and gave me a good deal on the phone/plan. I really appreciated the high level of professionalism and will definitely go to this location again. read more

First of all, I've been with Verizon for over 15 years, and have never used another carrier. No need to - Verizon's the best. Recently I upgraded both my plan and phone with the help of Jigme Groves. I have been in business most of my life, and I can tell you it is rare to come across someone like Jigme. He genuinely cares about the customer and is willing to do what it takes to provide the best customer experience possible. I especially appreciated his keeping me updated by phone as we worked through a couple issues (that were my fault), and he was totally upfront about all charges so that there were no surprises. Give this guy a promotion already! Thanks again Jigme. read more

Smoke and mirrors. Went in for a new phone to buy for Xmas. Misrepresentation of offers / bundle and Not Customer Centric. Too focus on driving a used car sales process. read more

Going in and shooping for new phones and the right plan is not fun, at all. Besides the time it takes, you can feel like you're being taken advantage of and sold stuff that you don't need. That was not the case in dealing with Steven here. He was not pushy and gave clear answers to questions so that I could make my own decision. Overall a solid experience and great customer service. read more

I was undecided whether to write a review because there are already so many bad ones, but since I haven't seen one for 2012 I thought I must. I came into the store because my daughters phone had crashed . When I inquired about getting a replacement phone, I was told we were eligible for an upgrade and I asked to replace it with the same phone she received for free two years ago. They said they had the phone but it would cost $189 with another two year contract. I then asked whether they would be able to restore the contacts when she got a new phone. I was told there was no way to do that since the old phone wouldn't turn on. When I got home, I checked the VZW web site and learned that I was entitled to a "free phone" (the same exact phone) and that I could restore the contacts from the broken phone. Verizon needs to upgrade there personnel at this location and to stop hiring incompetent people that appear to be bad scam artists. read more

So stoked on my new iPhone6!! Toby was so awesome he! He even went out of his way and helped my roommates family with there bill. Couldn't be happier. Definitely ask for Toby he's the best! read more

This store is fantastic! I went to the Del Mar on Via de La Valle on 1/25/14 to replace a non working iphone 5. I ended up with the edge contract not explained properly. Returned to the store to opt out and I got every excuse you can think of and then some. Store manager Alexie told me go to another store which I did. No problems what so ever at the Encinitas store Orlando went right to his manager. She apologized for the Del Mar store. In all 45 minutes to switch this and that all lines on my plan work. Why Del Mar store manager couldn't do this is beyond me. From now on I will only use the Encinitas store. read more

Jane is the absolute BEST!!! My sound stopped working on my brand new iPhone 6S. I had not dropped my phone nor had any water damage. She greeted me right when I walked in and immediately fixed the issue. I went on my lunch break and was crunched for time, but Jane made it the best experience ever! Thank you!!!! read more

Cell phone companies are like airlines, banks, and cable companies. Their customer service is overruled by their need to make money. I waited a half hour to find out that I shouldn't have bought their insurance . They charge $200 for a cracked screen on top of the $11 per month. It's way better to get AppleCare. read more

I went to the Verizon store in Encinitas the other day and upgraded my phones for me and my family. I met with a young gentleman named Steven Han that took care of us . I was shocked by the service I received because that last visits were not like this. He was able to retrieve some info I thought that I may have lost on my phone and transferred all my content and my family's content on there new device. It's been a while for me and my family to go and get the red carpet service at a retail store . He not only new a lot about the business but made it easy for me and my family to understand the the new way you guys sell phones on device payment. He was kind and courteous the whole time and maintained professionalism in a hectic environment with all those people that was in the store that day. Not at one point did I feel that I didn't have his attention , he was very attentive and friendly. Kudos to Verizon for hiring a TOP Talent employee like Steven. I highly recommended you do your business with Steven Han he will not only make it a seamless experience but an enjoyable one none the less. My family thanks you Steven for such an Awesome experience we will only go to this Verizon store from now on. . read more

I have visited several Verizon stores and this location is the most knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend working with Shonre. I had the best service ever with Hung at Verizon in Encinitas. He knew everything about their current promotions and plans. I went in to buy a replacement phone for my son, and after helping me with that asked if I had a few extra minutes so he could look over my plan and make sure I was getting the best deal for my usage and what I needed. I am so glad I said yes because I am now paying less each month and getting more gigs of data, how does that even happen??? Thanks for the great service! read more

I don't think the sales people here a honest. I was given a quote last week, and when I came back to sign up another salesman said that the quote was wrong and that the first salesman didn't know what he was doing. The new salesman quoted me an additional 100.oo a month in charges. Never go here or to any Verizon store. I got a much better deal at T Mobile. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Only one employee was helpful. I have had so many issues with being sent broken replacement phones. Brandon "manager" is horrible doesn't honor what any of his employees tell you, which every employee will tell you something different. Chassidy accused me of breaking my phone and was extremely rude. Seriously considering switching to ATT&T because Verizon's customer service is horrible. The only employee who is patient and helpful is Tim. read more

I had the very best customer service from Amanda Glynn at the Encinitas Verizon Wireless branch. It was the best trade-in experience I've ever had and I have been with Verizon for twenty years. I live in Fallbrook and I will drive to Encinitas to have her help me with my next and all future transactions. They have a great selection of phones to try. Set up very much like the Apple stores. All hands on. It is worth the drive for me to get that kind of service and consideration. read more

Eden is awesome! Was told the wait would be approximately 30 minutes, but definitely received help sooner than that. Eden knows her stuff - answered my questions and called customer service when some issues on my iphone were difficult to resolve. Would definitely go back to this location just to work with her. read more

Had excellent help from Richard Quinonez at the Verizon Encinitas location this past week. He was helpful and patient explaining the new phones and answering my questions. The wifi service in the store was slow and he was very patient as we worked to get a new phone set up. A few days later i returned for help setting up an iPad, once again Richard came to the rescue and was just as patient as he had been on my first visit. Thanks for the great service Richard! read more

We've been customers of Verizon since before Verizon was Verizon (US WEST). I've had sporadic success in dealing with people at this store, that is until I met JANE! She is, without a doubt, hands-down the best, most knowledgeable and most helpful representative I've ever encountered! She listens to what you have to say, is not afraid to suggest solutions (even though they might be contrary to what other V reps have told me) and really dug deep to come up with a solution to my large data consumption! She made the difference from being just partially content with Verizon to being happy (ok, that and the new rate restructuring)! Thank you Jane! read more

Kevin is awesome there, but other than him everyone is rude and could not be bothered. Twice now I have given my name and they place it on the board. Both times I am the only one there and do not move from the seat right in front of the podium where they ask for your name. They never call my name and 30 minuytes later I say to the eastern European sounding guy, "my name is no longer up there and they never called me". He say's "oh ok, I'll see if anyone can help you. Sales person was not helpful. He denied that Verizon could help set up voicemail on a new iphone just purchased there. He refused to help further. A half hour later a salesman at the Apple Store in Carlsbad very quickly set up the voicemail. What in the world is going on with Verizon? They need to do much better in the training of their employees. read more

The customer service at this Verizon store was very bad. After making us wait for "the expert", we were not helped in the slightest with the new iphone-email set up that was vexing us. His final words: "Email accounts should just ask for your email address and password. If they ask for more than that, they just don't work." The nice guy at the Apple store didn't have any trouble setting up the Earthlink account, however. He looked up the problem on line, deleted our attempt, started from scratch, and it connected right away. Verizon should take a lesson from Apple: good customer service leads to loyal customers. read more

This is the best Verizon store I have ever been in! I was looking for a new I Phone 7 and trying to decide over several months if I should get the 7+ or regular. I had the most amazing salesperson, Josh Hagan, and all of his colleagues were terrific, from my observation of one hour, as I was waiting for my phone to upload. Josh was extremely knowledgeable and patient, and made me feel as though I was being treated like family. As I watched a great number of people enter the store, each one was treated with respect and unfailingly good manners on the part of each employee, no matter what client came in. I did not have any problems with my phone, as Josh made sure everything was working well before I left the store. I know I can go right back and get help if I needed it. They must have a really good manager, who hires a diversity of employees and each one seems to get along well with the others, as they help one another. I am very happy to have found this store and I compliment all who work there. read more

WORST Customer service EVER!!! I bought a new iphone 3 months ago the sales lady said to you want a jetpack to make your 3g phone a 4g I said no thanks I'm fine with 3g she then says its free after the rebate I say ok fine I'll take it not realizing it costs $20 per month!!!! which I was NEVER told!!! I go into the store and say I was never told and i dont want this jetpack he says well it's built into the pricing, I say how much would my bill be if I just had 2 smartphones and insurance $162 and I say well my bill will be $182 with this jetpack? Why am I the only one in the conversation thats getting this?? back and forth with this HORRIBLE manager how can he even look himself in the mirror??? he just kept spinning and spinning on how the pricing works and guess what?? I'm stuck with this jetpack for a 2 year contract! These Verizon workers are worse than used car salesman DISGUSTED cant wait to cancel my service! read more

NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!! They will try everything they can to get more money from you. I went into this store to update to the iPhone 5. I waited forever and when someone finally was able to help me he kept trying to sell me all of these things. I told him I already have a case for it I don't need a 200 dollar life proof (they have a display in stupid jar on front), I don't need a car charger or anything else to go with the phone. I told him I just wanted the phone! So then he goes to the back forever and comes back with the phone... He explains he is trying to make our bill lower and asks to call my mom who is also authorized on the account... I told him she is busy at work but he instited. They talk on the phone for like 30 min...He hangs up and comes back with a wifi booster... Tells me my mom wants it because the wifi doesn't work downstairs at her house. He puts in the bag... Long story short I call my mom when I leave and she said she only mentioned the wifi is spotty... She never said anything about buying the wifi booster! She later goes back because of our (all of a sudden) huge bill and they tell us the wifi booster adds another phone number, and to cancel is its 175 dollar charge! All they want is to make huge sales, they are rude and have horrible customer service. Never get Mike or Ashley. read more

Today I went to Verizon to handle issues with my phone that I thought would be quite simple. I went in and was helped relatively quick but was given a number to call instead of the associate handling my issue in store. I thought this was poor customer service considering how much money we pay this company every month but that's what you get from Verizon. So I go home and spend a good 45 minutes being bounced around their automated phone service only to get to a point where it's now going to cost me $159 to replace my phone which is malfunctioning. The associate in the store had told me that my phone was under warranty since I pay for insurance and would be replaced at no cost to me but the one on the phone, Donna, was so unhelpful and inconsiderate it was beyond acceptable. She then attempted to transfer me but instead she ended the phone call, just to top off her spectacular customer service. I was so frustrated I returned to the store and found the associate who helped me the first time. He insisted that the lady on the phone was wrong and with the go ahead from his manager was able to order me a phone on the spot. Why this couldn't happen on my first trip into the store was beyond me. Within one minute of deciding to order me a phone the process was over. Why they made me spend all that time and anguish doing something that takes them one minute is beyond me. Just help the customers and they will be happy. It's not that hard. And the reason I'm writing this here is because Verizon doesn't have the option on their website to provide feedback. I guess they can't handle all the criticism about their poor customer service. read more

Not sure why the reviews are mixed for this location... perhaps because people didn't go see Steve Han. He's your guy if you want clear, quick, professional service. I had to go in because my Iphone 6 was a victim of the Apple upgrades that was causing the battery to drain when the meter said it had at least 30% power left. In my opinion dealing with my phone is like buying a car - it's a necessary evil in life that I don't particularly enjoy. Steve was SUPER pleasant, took the time to find me the best deal and explained why it was, transferred my data to my new phone, and hooked up my Verizon Hum device. He did it all - literally all - including also putting on a new glass protector, checking to make sure my new phone fit into my old case, and applying a credit to my bill. I walked in with a crappy phone and walked out with a completely functioning phone and a goodie bag with all my extra parts and serial numbers and passwords written down all by Steve. These were the preliminary passwords Steve used to hook up my phone that I later changed. All I did when I got home was change a few passwords. It was an easy experience in the store and I didn't have to spend more time at home getting my phone back to its original set-up. GO SEE STEVE! read more

All new staff at this Verizon location and we just had an awesome experience. I dropped my phone, broke it, lost all contacts, photos, etc., because I'm technologically challenged and hadn't backed it up. Went in with my husband, purchased a new phone, went home, was unhappy with the phone because the sound phone quality wasn't up to par for my hearing loss, and because I didn't understand the printed out instructions on how to retrieve the info (that I hadn't backed up). Took time off from my law practice AGAIN to go back in the next morning as a very unhappy customer. Met first with Gabe who was great and extremely helpful. Got me down half-way to normal mood wise. He explained it wasn't possible for me to test drive various IPhones to determine which one had the best sound quality without paying a stocking fee (which didn't make me happy, but I get it). He did check with the store manager for other options and did make a helpful suggestion we decided not to go with. Importantly, however, he also spent a considerable amount of time running diagnostics on my husband's problematic IPhone and determined it had a defect and set my husband up with a free new phone because we had purchased an extended warranty two years ago. In the interim, I observed another tech -- Steven Han -- assisting a very elderly lady with her smart phone. VERY elderly, e.g., with a cane. He could not have been sweeter, kinder, more gracious, more patient, more friendly, or more HELPFUL to her. I was so impressed and nabbed him to talk to me about my problems. Again, he could not have been nicer or more helpful and, in addition, he is an outstanding teacher who takes the time -- and has the talent -- to explain the ins and outs of the IPhone mystery to people like myself. He spent a great deal of time with me and did not make me feel rushed in any way. Brought me all the way up from frustrated to happy and satisfied with my experience. Finally, the store managers (Brian Washington and the other manager whose name, unfortunately, I didn't get) were also stellar. All in all, a great experience with great personnel. Thanks for everything, guys. read more

Came into Verizon to get a new phone for my daughter. Sales rep STRAIGHT OUT LIED at the end of the transaction he said since you are such loyal customers for years take this tablet for free. We were not even interested or in need of one but he said we would only be charged for the first month $10 and no other contracts or obligations. I noticed on the second month we were being charged $10 so I called the Verizon number. I was told I am stuck in a 2 year contract being charged $10/month and I should of complained about the charge the first month billed and its too late. That lying salesperson had us sign with the paperwork on the new phone a 2 year agreement for this crappy tablet I don't need! I could pay $175 to get out of the contract! Went into the store again to complain in person and the LOUSY MANAGER said too bad we are stuck!!!! Shopping for a new cell company, Verizon just lost a 15+ year customer!!!! I would give them 0 stars if I could. BEWARE!!!! read more

Shifty, shady sales experience. My wife and I had the same phones for years and figured that it was time for an updrade. We were immediately told of a great deal on an iPad Air since we were buying these phones. I had at first declined due to the cost of new phones, but the objection was immediately met with the idea that if we didn't get it now the deal would be gone and if we didn't want it any longer to sell it. I agreed to get it since it was such a great deal and it'd just be a line fee to add it to our plan. Well, time came to sell it. One big problem.....CONTRACT! We had only found out because we called to make sure what we needed to do to clear the info when we sell it. It was a huge surprise as our we are NOT on a contract with our phone plan but somehow a contract for the iPad, which I initially didn't even want. The manner in which the iPad sale went down was duplicitous. We never would have agreed to purchase the iPad with a contract, deal or not. read more
