Worst store I have ever been to. They will lie and cheat you so you upgrade. Make sure you double check what you are paying for, and why. They said they are under new management, so I decided to give them another shop, well that was a bad idea. After this, I am leaving Verizon. Verizon is getting a bad name because of this Victra store. Hector was the person who deceived us on our upgrade. Hector lied and wrote down incorrect information. I had my phone stolen last week. I received an insurance replacement, but since my original phone had been stolen, I was having trouble setting up my new device. I was getting extremely frustrated. My husband took my phone in to this retailer just before their closing time. The employee, Jerry, took so much time (30 minutes AFTER closing) to get my phone set up. He even permitted my husband to film him when giving additional set up steps. He went above and beyond! The next day, we had to go back for questions about recovering additional data. Krystal (spelling?) and, again, Jerry helped with this. I now am all set up and I am so thankful for their help! read more

The worst customer service. The tech got though the whole deal and then told me I was paying $500 for a bundle he didn't indicate earlier. Then he got a little short with me when I did not want to pay for it. He said he wouldn't get enough money for his commission and so he would not make the deal. And I asked to speak with the manager who said that the reason I had to buy the bundle was because the phone was pre-ordered for another customer and they were giving me his deal and going to cancel for that customer so I had to pay for the bundle that the other customer had ordered. I asked him why he was selling someone else's pre-ordered phone and he then refused to give me the same deal as they offered me before and said they weren't going to serve me as a customer. All I wanted was a phone. Very very very unprofessional and seemed kind of corrupt as well. I would never go there again. read more

I went to store for the BOGO for a Christmas presents and they said they are only doing bundle deals which include accessories and I couldn't get the phone by itself . I or anybody should be able to choose if they want only phone or bundle deal not the only option be bundle deal with accessories I don't need .I called another store and they said they never heard of that and to come in they'll sell phone only not some bundle deal I don't need . There's something just not right about this store. Called ahead to confirm phone availability, cost, and if I needed an appointment. I was seated, a young man sits down, never introduced himself, no name tag, and I don't recall that he even had on a logo shirt. When he found out I wasn't financing my phone, i.e., make monthly payments (have always simply bought my phones), he then proceeded to tell me there was an extra fee and that it would have to remain on my account for 30 days (???). This didn't make sense. He claimed it was for fraud protection... (Huh??). Had never heard of it and that wasn't part of the conversation I had when I called prior to coming to the store. Out of principle, I went to the Grossmont Center store. There weren't extra fees that needed to be held on an account - and I also bought a bunch of accessories. read more

I came in yesterday ready to switch carriers. Crystal was able to help me set up a new prepaid account, port my number (I came in with my account number and pin from my old carrier-also prepaid). Also, I should mention that I need to keep my old number and my newer phone. I was really pleased that the whole process was flawless. It does take some time, but it is so much easier to do this in person (especially coming in prepared). One should make an appointment, and bring method of card payment (imo). It was worth it to me to pay the small setup/activation fee to do this in person. I have struggled with other carriers because of the insanity they put you through by their automated systems and lengthy conversations that go nowhere. Last year, I tried to order prepaid Verizon online, and my order was "automatically canceled!" I almost went with T-Mobile yesterday but again, I wasted 90 minutes the day before with the mess of trying to sign up via an app and getting a new number by mistake! Grr! Suggestion: Make appointment or go in 11am or later, and just come prepared and be patient. It's in the Target/Albertson's shopping center in Rancho San Diego. If I could give zero stars for this store I would . Their customer service sucks & the representatives that helped obviously doesn't know how to do their job .My husband and I came in to transfer a phone over and get the new IPhone 13 Pro Max . Long story short I ended up walking out with the regular IPhone 13 due to the Max being on back order , which was fine . 2 months later still no phone and there was never no follow up from anyone. We had to call customer service more than 3 times & visit the store with anyone knowing what happened with the "pending" order. On top of that we came to the store at 6:00pm a day prior, waited for 30mins (they close at 7) , the lights were on, the safe door was open but the front door was locked and no one was answering the door to open it . Needed to trade in and activate new phone on Christmas Eve. The business was very busy and associate Goshay was assigned to help us. The process was complicated and took along time. Mr Goshay was very patient and competent. I was very happy with the experience, until female supervisor took over as I was about to purchase otter box and screen protector. First she incorrectly only offered me a 10% discount on the accessories instead of the 25% I am authorized. Then when I decided to not make the purchases she incorrectly told me that my new iPhone 8 wouldn't fit in my old iPhone 6 otter box. Everyone knows that the iPhone 6 and 8 differ only by 0.1 mm, and the camera holes line up okay. I left without buying the two accessories, instead buying them on Amazon. read more

I REALLY wish I would have read the reviews before heading into this train wreck. Verizon Wireless (Corporate) should get involved and take over this franchise store. I went in to see if I was eligible for a phone upgrade and was told my plan was out of date & they don't do contracts anymore but because of that he could make an upgrade work and there was even a monthly plan with unlimited minutes, messages and 5g of data (I had 4g) for 40.00 vs the 50.00 I was paying. I was told it would be $100.00 for the new phone, and my bill would even be slightly less. Then we move from the counter to a table and he started explaining that I have to pay the tax on the retail cost of the phone for a total due around 149.00. He brought a calculator with him to show me the math but didn't actually know the tax rate in the city he works in and asked where I live.... Tax doesnt work around where I live but where I am making a purchase... I didn't like that he decided to wait until I had spent an hour in store to disclose the tax fee **I would have appreciated just being told upfront the total cost, I don't need a sales pitch or to be tricked into buying a phone, I went in with the intention of buying one. Then, when trying to set up my new plan and order the phone he kept running into issues and whenever he asked the onsite manager (Daniel I think it was) for help he got immature responses like "Just be patient bro". They also didn't know their wifi password which just seems odd in a place that sell devices that connect to wifi... Towards the end when I was asked to sign contracts I wasn't presented with the full documents to read and actually had to ask what I was signing. Then reviewing my bill and documents after that fact I saw the salesperson did not actually update my plan from 4 to 5g and somehow I was being charged a mandatory fee both the old way from my original contract (1, $40.00 service fee) and the new way with the monthly plan ( 2, $20.00 fees). I was also charged a 30.00 device fee which was NEVER disclosed to me. I called Verizon customer service and Nikki fixed up my plan and gave me credit for the device fee but she can't give me back the two hours I spent in store. read more

I can't conciously give five stars due to the fact I was completely dissatisfied with the entire experience. So, my phone was gone. Not sure how, but it disappeared in less than 5 min while putting my groceries from the shopping cart to my car. Went to this Verizon​ store the next day after work to get a phone. The guy that helped me was very nice. The entire purchase was over an hour. I really just wanted to get out and go home. I was made aware that the entire purchase was about $160. I left with a new phone, a Hub for my car (it's like a lo jack system), a phone charger, case and glass protective screen. I told the guy that if my phone shows up, I will be back to return the phone. read more

WARNING: This place is a SCAM and will STEAL your money. IT IS NOT A REAL VERIZON STORE. It is a 3rd party retailer. I purchased a new iPhone and was told that the phone case and screen protector were included with the purchase of the phone. I even confirmed with the salesperson, Joseph, that they were included prior to picking out a case and he said "yes". I was also told the "set up and go fee" would be waived and he was throwing in a wall plug in because one wasn't included with the phone. He told me that all I would be paying for in store was phone tax and sales tax. He told me that they didn't provide printed receipts and it would be emailed to me, which at the time I wasn't able to access because I didn't have my email set up on the new phone I just had purchased and activated. Later that night, I was able to access my email and view the receipt. I was charged for the phone case, screen protector ($65!), and wall plug in ($35!). Emails, texts, and calls to the manager have not been returned. THEY ARE THIEFS! I'll be filing fraud charges against them this week. read more

We have been customers of Verizon for 25 years, ever since our first flip-phones. When my iPhone 8 stopped taking a charge I brought it to the Rancho San Diego location to get a replacement. After signing a contract for the replacement iPhone 8 I was offered a "free" Samsung tablet. I was never told that there were strings attached to this free gift but found out when I received our first bill and saw that a new line had been added for this tablet, (which is not a phone). When I tried to return the tablet, since I did not want it with the attached new line, I was told that it was too late since the return period of two weeks had already expired. When I tried to return the tablet the franchise salesperson kept saying that "it's free" but that I had to sign up for an additional line and an activation fee. They also never advised me that if I was not happy with the tablet I had only 14 days to return it and that I would have to return it in the original box, which I had already thrown away because I thought it was free so why would I return it? The Rancho San Diego office was not helpful in any way as it is a franchise, so I had to contact the Verizon Consumer Service Department and was able cancel the extra line for the tablet. Corporate was very reasonable and seemed upset that the franchise had said the tablet was free and had not advised me of the extra charges. From now on I will find a corporate Verizon office for help and avoid the Rancho San Diego franchise. read more

I bought a verizon compatible phone off amazon and brought it to this location for activation. Apon arrival I was assured my device was not compatible with verizon. I left and went to at&t and they informed me my phone was infact for verizon. Apon returning to the store the clerks promised me my device was not compatible with verizon and told me my only solution was to buy a new phone. I took their word as truth and bought a device from them. Later that night I returned home to a more tech savvy relatives who activated the amazon purchased phone in a few moments. When I returned to verizon for a refund they told me they would have to charge me a 75 dollar re stocking fee if I dont have the box WHICH THEY KEPT THE NIGHT BEFORE along with the original phone I came to disconnect. They ofcorse denied this and almost immediately suggested that they would contact security despite me not being menacing or threatening at all and only asking for my money back (after returning my old phone, which they had kept along with the new box). One of the clerks told me it wasnt their problem because their system misinformed them. She went as far as to turn the computer around and ask me if I knew how to read. I told them that it's their job to know and that selling me a device based on their businesses "misinformation" is poor practice. When I further disputed this the manager continually threatened to call security dispute me making no personal attacks and going as far as to say my issue was not with them but with the misinformation I received and that wanting my money back was not a personal matter. The manager continues to threaten to call security telling me that wanting my money back is "making demands". When I said I wanted to record the conversation she raised her voice with me telling me to get out and telling another employee to get security. I made no personal attacks towards them and was not acting in a violent manner. I felt threatened the entire time. My options were to either be satisfied with being lied to and stolen from or threatened with security for simply asking for my property back. I remained seated during the whole interaction and was not screaming, yelling or making any personal comments. I emphasized that I did not have a problem with them personally even after they suggusted I didnt know how to read. I asked multiple times why they would call security and their answer was that they have the right to refuse service to anyone. When I asked for the security camera footage the manager told me it was not available despite the clerk telling me otherwise. I then called verizon customer service and was informed that this is not an actual verizon store but cellphone business that essentially licences their logo. Dont get lied to, dont get intimidated, dont get stolen from. Apon contacting verizon they informed me that they will make notes about the parties involved and suggusted that I instead visit a cooperate verizon location to resolve the problem without being insulted and lied to. These off-licenced businesses rely on scams to make money where as the cooperate store provides the same service without any scams and extra fees attached. This place is essentially a well established mall cart. Again, dont get lied to, dont get intimidated, dont get stolen from. read more

As a matter of fact, this was the second visit as the first clerk was not able to help. Dominecke recognized the issue right away and was able to fix it in minutes flat. I received the best service from Bridget who helped me and my husband and ensured that we knew all the details and what we would see in dollars on our next bill. As a small business owner I appreciate the power of customer feedback and the strength of the YELP community. My 80 year old mother went to this store to pay her bill -- she walked out with a "free" tablet that she did not want and did not comprehend that the device may not have cost her any money but it is in no way "free" to use. She thought she could just give it to us because it was free. We do not need this device anymore than she does. When she went back to the store to give back this "free" device she was told it would cost her upwards of $60 to return it. Shame on you for taking advantage of a Senior Citizen. Shame on you for contributing to global electronics garbage -- because that is where this device is going to end up -- in an electronics recycling drive. If we find that an activation fee or line access fee has been added to her account we will cancel her Verizon account immediately. That also told her that she had to have a hotspot to use the iPad that she has at home n been useing for the last two months. Have to go back again becuse the manager wasn't there. Liars and cheats. This IS NOT a Verizon store, it is an independent retailer. Came here after a bad experience and found this mess of reviews. They lied about what a tablet would cost. Tried to return it and they demanded a $70 restocking fee. Got Verizon customer support on the phone who said this place would charge the restocking fee to my Verizon account and Verizon would adjust the bill. The liars and cheats in this store said NO. We would have to pay it. Verizon customer support got on the phone with them, they got in to an argument and refused Verizon's request. Very bad service Be Aware ! They sell me the SIM card for my I phone with out giving me the phone number !! Tried to activate the SIM online didn't work because he didn't give me a phone number and when I tried to call customer service took two hours to talk to someone then she told me Verizon dosnt work on Iphone 5S. I called the store to ask for refund he said we don't refund SIM cards and I need to drive to Grossmont mall they will help me there. read more
