I ordered two new iPhones online through T-Mobile for pickup at this La Mesa T-Mobile store. I did so in part because the T-Mobile phone rep said the store rep would assist in transferring data and applying protective screens. when I arrived at the La Mesa store, I was given my two phones - so no question there that I was a paying customer - but was refused further assistance. told that I could transfer data myself and that they don't do protective screens. So I went to the Santee T-Mobile T-Mobile store and received 5-star service. I know which T-Mobile store I'm never going to again. read more

Went in on a Monday morning around 10:30am to get an upgrade on my phone. The guy who was helping me (as well as the manager?) never even smiled and obviously didn't want to be there. I left without getting an upgrade. Disappointed in their staff who were there. At least be professional. I enjoyed the mid-city Tmobile store and staff much more. I can't always respond to SMS or messages instantly, and I somehow missed the small window of time to respond to his service survey from T-Mobile, so I do apologize to Jamirth (spelling) for that. I'm here now to say that Jamirth is a highly knowledgeable employee at this store, and he was very patient w/my very elderly mother and me when we went in on Monday to ask about new phones, and we got them on the spot. Transferring everything from our old phones was a complicated and time-consuming job, but he and Mario were patient and professional while handling the task. Great guys both of them! Wife ordered a new phone and Joshua refuses to help assist her to transfer the data onto her new phone even though there was ample time to do so. Customer service tried to call and speak with him and he refuses to pick up the phone and is laughing. One incident upon many we've had after being picked up from Sprint. Just awful. i went in about a month ago & was helped by a male hispanic with a ponytail. i was looking to upgrade to an iphone 15 given that my old phone was becoming glitchy. i emphasized i did not want to change anything other than getting a new phone. apparently he upgraded my line to some premium line that was pricier without my permission & when he gave me the charger to the phone, i was NOT made aware that the charger was extra either. if i would have know , i would have said no to the charger since I have one already. nor did the male associate make it clear to me as to how much more my whole bill was going to be. luckily, i called tmobile & found a line that fit my expectations alot better as well as my monthly bill dropped. they need better communication. very unprofessional. read more

The Grossmont La Mesa location is a joke. After my new phone quit working and spending half a day on the phone with T-mobile to no success I decided to go to a store. Upon entering the store which had many available employees with no customers, I had to wait for 10-15 minutes til the gossip hour was over. Kinda awkward. So after they decided I guess maybe they should help me, I explained my problem. After looking at my phone I was asked for ID which I provided.. My birthday was a week ago, that is the expiration on my commercial drivers license, New License is in the mail (DMV sucks) an should be here any day. The temp paper wasn't a valid acceptable form of ID for T-mobile. Can't help me, maybe if I drove around with my passport they could help me, or come back when my new license shows up in the mail..!!! So I went to the closer El Cajon location, waited in line which still took less time than trying to get acknowledged at the Grossmont location... El Cajon said my SIM card went bad (not sure how that happens) got me a new SIM at no charge and on my way with a smile...!!!! La Mesa is a bad joke, avoid at all costs. read more

What started out as a good experience turned into an ultimatum frustration. We were told we could avail a couple of rebate that will be part of our reduced monthly payment to T-Mobile. As we have tried to follow up on this, it has been a handoff from one customer service representative to another. Finally we were able to talk with a very helpful and attentive person, John Jeoffrey call center representative. He contacted the La Mesa branch to clarify with "Josh" what had been offered to clarify our concerns and situation and he told me wife that Josh hung up on him. What kind of costumer service is this??? That even rep from TMobile are treated this way?! I am losing confidence in T- Mobile. I am about to return to Verizon. Never had this kind of run around. This is the worst corporate store !!!!stay away I went to port my phone from AT&T. On Tuesday the 27 of June 2023. I had call T-Mobile and talk to a gentleman by the name Parker. He gave me all the information over the phone he said my bill was going to be $120.00 a month tax and everything included.. he gave the address to go to the corporate store at 5354 Grossmont Center Dr La Mesa Ca 91942 to pick up the sims cards for all My phones , on June 29 ,2023 when I got their a young f lady by the name Fallon attended to me as I already had my new account number from the phone call I made. She then took all my SIM cards and started to port my numbers over to T-Mobile. When she locked my to Samsung phones, the only phone that was working. What is my Apple phone. She could not get the phones to work. At that time I was calling AT&T to see what was the problem because my phones were unlocked.. she then took my old Sim cards and claims that she' shredded them. She did this on purpose so I would not go back to AT&T if my phones were not working with T-Mobile I asked him many times about my phones. She claims she did not do anything but on my phone there was writing telling me that she had locked the phones For trying so many times. I got mad she went to the bathroom. I sat there for three hours trying to figure out what was going on. She came back out like nothing. Yes I did get mad at her for her actions. I was forced to get two phones from T-Mobile because I already had cancel my AT&T account because she shredded my Sims cards, she should've never did that that scumbag she knew what she was doing. She just didn't want me to go back to AT&T.. when I got home I looked up my phone bill when I was supposed to originally pay $120. Now I'm paying $150. She changed all the information that I got from the first guy I talk to I was on the phone for the last three days with T-Mobile, their customer service department some of the lines go out to the Philippines, which sometimes you cannot understand what you're saying finally I got someone in the USA that took care of me. He put me back on the military plan which is $135.out the door a month yes it was not 320 but it's OK. I got more gigs for my money. Please scumbag. Fallon did not even apologize for what she did. I didn't go there to get new phones. I ended up paying for the taxes on both phones, when my Samsung phones were like brand new, I ended up with a piece of junk of Motorola. Just letting you guys know be aware of their scam. They will lock your phone out to force you to buy two of the phones on the network even though they were free, I still pay the taxes which I was not going to buy other phones when I have my own.. I have gotten in touch with corporate will follow up on Thursday. I want the store manager and this scum bag, Lady fire.. they are scamming people..look what I found I was right they scam people with the sims cards. So I will file with the general attorney of if I can get a refund on the phones they have locked.My advise is not to go to that store.many complains. I should of read the complaint before going there..what I want is my refund of my taxes for screwing up My two other cell phone that they lock they damage my phones and claim to shred my Sim cards. Best experience ever, tried Cricket, Verison and At&t, however hands down T Mobile has been the best service for San Diego. As a military family this is by far the best for traveling families. The location at La Mesa was amazing as soon as we walked in we were greeted by Jamirht, he was knowledgeable and professional we had 5 lines to cross over from a different company, Honestly, he was not pushy or your typical salesman, this young man will treaTed us as if we were family, he explained everything in detail and helped us find the best deal for our needs. If your planning on stitching over to T-Mobile I would say drive to La Mesa and ask for Jamirht. We received more than we expected, Netflix, MLB, Apple TV, VIX all on them even AAA roadside service also more perks are available too. The locations is basically right next to the Grossmont Mall and Hospital, parking available right in front of the store and the store itself was busy, however, it was clean and had lots of other T-Mobile agents ready to help. read more

Went across the street to an actual T Mobile where Mark Toma was able to help with everything and was very professional. After 16 years of using T mobile/Sprint and going to the previous Sprint store now a T Mobile Retail sales location at Grossmont mall by Walmart, I was shocked and surprised when Anthony the former Walmart bag boy/cart collector was the only rude and unprofessional.Counter help I've ever dealt with. On arrival was instantly greeted by the manager named Chris. He gave me a heads up that I had a few people ahead of me, I think I waited all of 10-15 minutes wasn't bad. I was helped by Paula, and she was absolutely awesome, actually listened to the issue, and was knowledgeable enough to get my account up to date and running. Had to deal with Assurant, my insurance through tmobile. I asked for an exception about replacing my broken phone and have it shipped to me by Saturday (Friday approvals ship to you Monday) and was told I would have to wait until Wednesday because of the holidays and Saturday not considered a business day to them (6days) before I will see my phone At some point tmobile used to do 'loaner' phones. I called the La Mesa branch explaining I had a claim, but it wouldn't arrive for awhile, and if they did loaner phones. He stated they didn't and would you like to know the bright advice he gave me: " You can always buy a phone" Oh wow, no kidding?? I mean sure I have a phone showing up to me in 6 days, that I already paid 100.00 for I didn't have, but let me go ahead and buy a 600.00 phone on top of that I don't need...
