I had a few serious complications when transferring service from my previous carrier. It took a lot…read moreof time, effort, patience and knowledge to finally get it unraveled and sorted. Diana and Salma (Manager) were absolutely amazing through the entire process. It took 3 different days and roughly 3 hours each visit to identify the problem, troubleshoot with 3 different carriers on a conference call, explain thoroughly to me, present the solution, suggest temporary measures, assistance returning a phone, follow through with corporate processes, as well as having to follow up and they could not have been more professional, courteous and accommodating. As stressful and frustrating as this debacle was for me, they empathized and worked hard on its resolution. They made me feel like we were a team together, not as though I was a problem customer and they were corporate, if that makes sense. The long visits never felt that long and I would leave the store with confidence and trust that they 'had my back'. I was very close to just cancelling the transfer and retreating to my prior carrier but did not do that as a direct result of these two stellar employees. Diana and Salma delivered customer service with great care, depth of knowledge and with grace rarely encountered these days. Please give them special kudos, they deserve to be acknowledged! 2012...I was hesitant to leave my phone carrier of twenty years, but I knew there had to be a…read morebetter option out there. For crying out loud, it had been twenty years with the same carrier leaving for only one year in 2002 to another carrier and then coming right back. So I went on the hunt. I asked around but nobody I knew would back Cricket. I looked into the Company a bit more and decided to take the plunge. I picked out the latest device and added it to my new account. The service was immediately great. No dead spots, no 'wrong numbers'. I bought the $50 per month plan that gave me a few gigs of high speed data per month and realized that I never even came close to using all of the data allowed - which at the time was quite a bit of usage. I have now traveled throughout the US and Mexico, to the cusps of Canada, and have not yet experienced a dropped zone. I upgraded my plan to the unlimited data as my work changed and I found myself starting to max out the five gigs of high speed provided. With no contract to worry about, I pay each month like any other plan and receive a discount for signing up for the auto-pay feature. A downside to the service is that if you want to tether your wifi you will have to purchase the one-time feature for $10mo. But, is that really a downside? You are able to add and remove features with a click of a finger right from the app. Get this, for every line you add, your bill is reduced...yes, you heard me, reduced. So I actually pay less for having more phones. Now let's get on to the customer service. One of two reasons holding back a fifth star is the hot line customer service. As you expect in our current era, the 800number dials directly to an overseas trouble shooting line that has to ask their supervisors more questions than what they can answer with ease. To beat this, simply head in to one of the store front locations - not the mall kiosks - and be greeted by a friendly face who will trouble shoot your concern with pride. The customer service reps at this location in particular are extremely friendly. Greeting you as you arrive, coming from behind the counter to greet and dismiss you, and working diligently to ensure all concerns are addressed before you leave. When Cricket sends me a survey regarding my desire to recommend them to someone I know - there is no hesitation that I suggest everyone that I know move over to this extremely fairly priced, excellent service area company.

Not on our radar and for consideration was Cox Mobile as an option until I found, while shopping at a nearby grocery store, our Rancho San Diego Cox branch and decided to park and walk in. When I entered the store, I was greeted with smiles from ear to ear by several representatives behind the computers and had the pleasure to meet one young lady who was being trained by the manager, Ricardo. Ricardo's experience and expertise was very obvious from the beginning of our conversation and without a hard sales attitude, I felt very confident that Cox Mobile was going to be our family choice for our new phones and new mobile service. Ricardo went out of his way to meet myself and one of my daughters on Saturday morning to get our phones up and operational and then again the following Sunday, even on his day off, to meet my wife and my other daughter to get their phones set up and connected. Ricardo made us feel appreciated as customers and he was patient and informative throughout the process. I'm excited to find that Cox has a storefront in our neighborhood and very grateful to know that the Cox organization looks to place quality and professional management and staff at their branches. So Frikken Upset. We are 40+ year Cox customers, but I so…read morefeel like Cox customer service keeps getting worse as the drive for sales takes over. Yesterday I received an unsolicited call from Sales Rep Juan Pablo at this "New" Rancho San Diego Cox store and told of a discounted offer available. I explicitly & clearly noted I might stop in to discuss the details of this offer, but was not interested in any change/upgrade/discount be made to my account at this time. * Note tho - I clearly did not authorize any change be made to my acct/service on this call at any time! There was no way the sales rep could have misunderstood because I made this very clear as I was getting concerned about his zeal to make a sale on this call. Well, guess what - They changed my plan that day!!! Today calling back, in an effort to be made whole on this unauthorized change, the store manager here HUNG UP ON ME when I attempted to stop him (I did not yell or cuss, but I did attempt to interrupt and stop him, mid sales pitch) from explaining why this change was a good thing. He hung up on me as I tried to stop his sales explanation. I didn't want to that explanation - But Of Course. Again, the issue was, I never authorized any change to my account. But they made the change and likely got an additional sale added to their tally for this day. Contacted Cox corporate by phone and was politely helped with my issue with an apology included. That's how it should have been all along. So So rude.
