Part of my iPad charger broke off inside my iPad, I could see the metal bit inside as compared to another iPad we have. My husband took it to bestbuy geek squad and they convinced him the charging port had come unsodered from the motherboard and pushed deep into the port hole. They couldn't fix it and said apple charges $300 for that fix. We decided to take it to phone zone for a cheaper repair (quoted less than half the price of apple) and lo and behold it was just a metal piece of the charger like we originally thought. The repair guy was super nice and it was a very reasonable price to remove/clean the port. I will definitely be bringing my devices here from now on. read more

Hey all! I went to get my volume button replaced. He ordered the part for my iPhone 15, and I brought my phone to him and in an hour, my phone was ready and back to normal. He also included a free screen protector since my screen protector was literally a joke. This guy is super chill as well as understanding, I would go back to him for phone related issues read more

I sent a request online via YELP on a Saturday not knowing if I would even hear back at the last minute. I arrived about 15 minutes later taking my chances that they'd be able to squeeze me in. The first thing Mario said when I arrived was "Are you Leslie? We've been expecting you!" Needless to say, I was thrilled! He took a look at my phone and said he'd have it done in 30 minutes. Needless to say, I was thrilled...again! And just as promised, he had my cracked iPhone screen replaced in 30 minutes. And even threw in a screen protector for me! Mario was extremely gracious, professional, and certainly knowledgeable. I would recommend their services to anyone needing a screen repair or otherwise! Thank you, Mario, for making my Saturday of errands a little less hectic! read more

I had a screen replaced on my Galaxy S20 FE 5G phone in late May 2024 , a salt water incursion caused my screen to short out and die. Then in the middle of August, my screen just stopped working. I brought the phone in for diagnostic analysis. In just a few hours my screen was repaired with no charge. I appreciate a shop that stands behind their work. I had used Phone Zone once before and again their work was done right and in 1 day. Highly recommend. read more

My Iphone 7 would not take a charge. I am 78 and do OK with my phone of only four or five years. I am terrible at texting and hate it. Anyway I took my phone to Mario at Phone Zone in Rancho San Diego. Mario knew how to talk to me without treating me like an idiot. He cleaned the charging port. That was not the problem. He replaced the port and that worked for a day. Then my phone shut down and would not reboot. Mario to the rescue again. He found the issue and the phone was fixed. I decided to replace the battery. Now I have a basically new phone. I love it. I trust Mario. His knowledge is extensive. He is in that small building across from Sushi Taboo (Taboo Sushi). read more

So happy I found this place! I called before I went. I got a quote from Jason for a cracked screen replacement. Went to the little hut, if you will, and Jason was there and ready to fix my screen and charged me what was quoted. Super friendly, fast service, and just overall nice experience. I had to go back for a different issue I forgot about with my camera. Jason was there again and remembered me. Again, super friendly. Got the job done for a great deal I wasn't even expecting. Highly recommend. I do suggest you call first to make sure they have the parts you need for your phone fix. Happy to return again and recommend to friends and family in the area. read more

Great service, great attitude. Was very nervous about using a non-Apple affiliated company for replacing my Iphone7 battery, but had to weigh that against the inconvenience of not having my phone for 5 or 6 days if serviced by Apple. Phone Zone had best Yelp reviews in East County, and I live in Lakeside, so not too far away. I was immediately impressed by Rene's great personality, and even more so by her knowledge and professionalism. They had my battery replaced in 45 min, and were great explaining all the in and outs of battery replacement, possible other problems, etc. so far, phone is lasting longer, and all else is fine, so no complaints about work done, either. I'll be using Phone Zone again, for any of my family's phone repair needs. Thank you, Rene. read more

Yes. Small, but very friendly and competent staff. Great prices and quick turnaround. Gone twice already. Kids keep dropping the phone.

I went in after having a few bad experiences getting my phone screens repaired. Honestly, I didn't have high hopes. But it was the best experience I have ever had with phone repair. Jason was knowledgeable and directed me to the right case for my phone and really made me feel like a special customer. I sincerely suggest anyone looking for the best deal and the best service go here and ASK FOR JASON!!! This will be the only place I go from now on and I will suggest it to all my friends and family. 5 out of 5 stars absolutely. Don't let the kiosk fool you...this place is the Ritz read more

Jason was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with my phone repair. Glad I came on in for his help. Fast service as well.

Good place to come to get a phone fixed (relatively fast and inexpensively). The only real difference between this Phone Zone and the one on Avocado in El Cajon is the size and location. Jason works at both places - and seems the one most able to lower prices. Mario seems to get things fixed faster than promised and to check and test to be sure that no more than is actually needed gets done or charged. read more
