He took the time to listen to my concerns and got to know something about me. He didn't attempt to "shoehorn" me into a plan I didn't need because he wanted the right fit...and he had done his homework about the plans ATT offered. But most of all, there was good "chemistry" in the way he interacted with me, sharing personal experiences that were appropriate and interesting about the phone and life. While I was there, a handful of other customers stopped by to pick up their phones that they had dropped off previously for apparent issues to be fixed. So there appeared to be "customer support" after the "sale." I don't think one can expect more than this in initial purchase or follow-on customer support for any consumer "thing"-- from buying a refrigerator, to tech gear, to a car.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at this location. From the…read morebeginning, the representative was rude, dismissive, and came across as condescending. He repeatedly interrupted me, did not allow me to fully explain my situation, and made me feel like my concerns were not being heard. Rather than trying to understand the issue, he blamed me for not having my device unlocked before switching carriers. As it turned out, the problem was completely outside of my control. The phone was a hand-me-down that was still carrier-locked to the original owner's account, which is why I was unable to unlock it myself. Instead of offering assistance, he simply told me there was nothing they could do and that I needed to call customer service. Since my phone was unable to make calls, I politely asked if I could briefly use the store phone to contact customer service. He refused, stating that he was leaving and questioned why he should let me use the store phone. I had no way of knowing his work schedule, and his response came across as unnecessarily rude and lacking basic customer service. He also failed to provide any reasonable solutions or guidance for my situation, leaving me feeling completely unsupported. I work in customer service myself, and I would never treat a customer the way I was treated. Regardless of whether an issue can be resolved immediately, every customer deserves to be heard, treated with respect, and provided with reasonable guidance. Overall, this interaction was frustrating and disappointing. I expected to be treated with respect and at least be given the opportunity to explain my situation and receive guidance. Instead, I left feeling dismissed, blamed for something that was beyond my control, and without any meaningful assistance. I will not be returning to this location, and I hope management addresses the level of professionalism, communication, and customer service being provided.
