Purchased a handful of used Macbook Pros here for the office since we still needed older ones with the Intel chips for some of our workflows, and this store made that quick and easy. The detailed description of cosmetic condition, as well as documentation of apple care + status, allowed us to buy confidently and purchase laptops with the OEM warranty still intact. Took out the fear of getting a DOA or lemon product. We did have one that were the screen creaked, but a quick visit to the apple store got that fixed for free thanks to the active warranty. I was apprehensive about selling my iMac as I had a horrible experience selling it on eBay (buyer claimed it was dirty and wouldn't boot up but I had photo and video proof that it was working prior to shipping and upon receiving the item back). CashForYourMac was offering more than their competitors so I went with their offer. I have heard stories of companies lowering their offer price upon receiving the item due to flaws that didn't actually exist (of course, if they do exist than an update to the offer is understandable). I do not recommend purchasing Mac products from this reseller. I purchase a MacBook Pro 2019 six months ago and already had to deal with three major software and hardware issues. When the laptop was delivered, it would not turn on because Quality Macs forgot to properly reboot and reconfigure the computer. As a result, I had to spend several hours on the phone with Quality Macs figuring out how to do the reboot which they were supposed to have completed on my behalf. Then, when I sought to update the iOS software on the laptop, I got locked out because the computer belonged to a company which installed access security locks, and which came back after the software install was complete. Once again, I had to spend several hours with Quality Macs figuring out how to disable the security lock. Finally, several months ago, my laptop started draining battery like crazy, and would die after one hour of use; in addition, it would randomly turn off, deleting all of the work which I had not saved. When I contacted Quality Macs once more, the representative who I spoke with made a host of excuses as to why it was not their fault, but the fault of the new software, and that how it was not their problem. Today, I hooked my laptop up and attempted to turn it on, only to discover that it was completely dead. I will have to lose priceless time and money going to a repair shop in my area who will hopefully be able to fix the junk which I had purchased from "Quality" Macs. Each time that I spoke with Quality Macs I had the impression that they belittled my concerns and acted like I was bothering them rather than proactively trying to help. I don't think they've changed their computer reseller providers, and I wouldn't be surprised if this issue continues to persist. read more

Okay, here's the rub: I'm not cheap, but am absolutely budget conscious--and have been prowling the technological savanna for over four weeks looking at iMacs of all shapes-and-sizes, from refurbished to NIB. My end-goal was to spend no more than $1250.00 because I already own the giant iPad Pro. This budget fell right in line with the newest 21.5-inch iMac (2015) that with my education discount, plus tax and the SuperDrive, would have been ~$1215.00. I went into the big-box store to purchase it...and was incredibly underwhelmed. The specs of the device essentially made it a larger MacBook Air (I'm serious), and upgrading it to the desired Quad-core and speeds meant a cost-prohibitive $1499+. Walked out of the big-box bummed. Later that night, I ended up shopping around on eBay and Newegg looking for a refurbished model to compete with Apple's refurb program; stumbled across these guys and their online shop of phenomenally priced models. Didn't realize they were in San Diego until I went to check out--and it offered the option of free-pickup. Ecstatic, I clicked the "purchase" button and WHAM--another buyer was a second faster than me. So...I just went into the store in order to physically claim the machine. Here's what happened: I was greeted by Matt who was awesome (compliments on a woman's shoes will get you everywhere), and assisted by Tiffany who was an absolute doll-button and an incredible help. They brought out a model I inquired about but wasn't sold on that was in the rock-bottom mid-$500s range because of one small blemish...my initial intent was to spend more on a newer model. But their quality control is so discerning the "blemish" on the less-expensive desktop was something I literally can't even tell is there. In addition to the unit, I bought additional ram (Tiffany installed on the spot -- 8GB, $70 with my bundle discount), an upgraded Magic Mouse 2 ($45), and they kicked in my preference of a wired keyboard vs. Bluetooth at no extra charge. With tax, I was out the door for $712.00--with 2x the power in all areas of the machine, and running the latest version of OS. I literally paid less than half of what I would have forked over for the new properly-outfitted unit; $500 less than settling for the new entry-level iMac. The service received and the amount of money saved was just unbelievable--so long as this team is in business, I'm loyal to them. My company purchased quite a few Apple Macs from these guys in the last year when they were across the hall from us. All work great for refurbished and practically brand new Macbook Pros. Recently they moved into a larger facility and I needed a new adapter for my 2008 Macbook Pro. These guys are legit. SUPER knowledgable, and knew exactly the type of adapter I needed. We chatted about lots of different products and how they've been doing since moving their shop into their new digs. They've increased their supply of everything Apple related and it's basically a candy store for Mac nerds like myself. The place is right off the the 15 and it wasn't that hard to find. The space is used very well and all the computers are all displayed for you to play with and make your decision. What I like is you can see the back and get a peak at the staff working on other computers. To me it just says a lot about the business. From start to finish the experience was nothing but great. Matthew answered all my questions and the best part is I feel like I wasn't getting hustled into something that I didn't want. This is my second purchase here, and I trust these guys with selling genuine apple products, used and refurbished. I haven't had any problems yet. My only suggestion is the customer service agent could be a little more helpful. She greeted me at the door but when I had questions on my purchase she gave me one or two word responses back and I had to be the one asking about the warranty and what features the product had. My Macbook Pro was stolen from me this summer, and I didn't want to spend $2,000+ on a new one, so I was in the market for a refurbished computer when my friend recommended Quality Macs. I live in San Diego so I was able to pick up my order in the store a few days after purchasing online from eBay. I was able to get a like-new Macbook Pro for less than half the price of the ones being sold in the Apple Store, and needless to say, I was stoked. Because of accidentally being given the wrong battery and using it to charge the computer for a few weeks, (60 watt, which is for the 13-inch instead of the 85 watt for the 15-inch) I began to have frequent issues with the battery not being able to properly hold a charge. By the time I decided I was unhappy enough with the charging issue, my 30-day return/exchange period had already passed, so I sent an email to Quality Macs asking what could be done. Matthew (who is the best ever), replied with the upmost attention and concern, saying that they would gladly extend that guarantee and would allow me to return or exchange my laptop since I was not 100% satisfied. He included links to similar models for around the same price, and I could tell he was genuinely being helpful and not trying to "sell" me a more expensive option. I was even offered $50 off my new purchase if it exceeded the price of the first one. I came into the store and was helped right away by the super friendly, cool and collected Matthew. He let me check out some other computers, ran a test demo version so I could make sure everything was to my standard, and gave me absolutely zero hassle about returning the old computer, at one point casually mentioning that "it shouldn't be your problem to deal with the issue." I am typing this on my newly exchanged laptop and am twice as stoked as before. I have total faith that if I ever run into any future problems or issues, Matthew and Quality Macs will make solving it a breeze. A+++ service, quality, and value. read more
