New (to me) iMac, hanging out on my desk. #win
Kayla W.

Okay, here's the rub: I'm not cheap, but am absolutely budget conscious--and have been prowling the technological savanna for over four weeks looking at iMacs of all shapes-and-sizes, from refurbished to NIB. My end-goal was to spend no more than $1250.00 because I already own the giant iPad Pro. This budget fell right in line with the newest 21.5-inch iMac (2015) that with my education discount, plus tax and the SuperDrive, would have been ~$1215.00. I went into the big-box store to purchase it...and was incredibly underwhelmed. The specs of the device essentially made it a larger MacBook Air (I'm serious), and upgrading it to the desired Quad-core and speeds meant a cost-prohibitive $1499+. Walked out of the big-box bummed. Later that night, I ended up shopping around on eBay and Newegg looking for a refurbished model to compete with Apple's refurb program; stumbled across these guys and their online shop of phenomenally priced models. Didn't realize they were in San Diego until I went to check out--and it offered the option of free-pickup. Ecstatic, I clicked the "purchase" button and WHAM--another buyer was a second faster than me. So...I just went into the store in order to physically claim the machine. Here's what happened: I was greeted by Matt who was awesome (compliments on a woman's shoes will get you everywhere), and assisted by Tiffany who was an absolute doll-button and an incredible help. They brought out a model I inquired about but wasn't sold on that was in the rock-bottom mid-$500s range because of one small blemish...my initial intent was to spend more on a newer model. But their quality control is so discerning the "blemish" on the less-expensive desktop was something I literally can't even tell is there. In addition to the unit, I bought additional ram (Tiffany installed on the spot -- 8GB, $70 with my bundle discount), an upgraded Magic Mouse 2 ($45), and they kicked in my preference of a wired keyboard vs. Bluetooth at no extra charge. With tax, I was out the door for $712.00--with 2x the power in all areas of the machine, and running the latest version of OS. I literally paid less than half of what I would have forked over for the new properly-outfitted unit; $500 less than settling for the new entry-level iMac. The service received and the amount of money saved was just unbelievable--so long as this team is in business, I'm loyal to them. I'm absolutely the fussiest consumer imaginable, and this little business rocked my world. Buy. Local.

My company purchased quite a few Apple Macs from these guys in the last year when they were across the hall from us. All work great for refurbished and practically brand new Macbook Pros. Recently they moved into a larger facility and I needed a new adapter for my 2008 Macbook Pro. These guys are legit. SUPER knowledgable, and knew exactly the type of adapter I needed. We chatted about lots of different products and how they've been doing since moving their shop into their new digs. They've increased their supply of everything Apple related and it's basically a candy store for Mac nerds like myself. It's set up like a mini Apple store with display models in their lobby and a technical operation behind glass. Think if the Apple Genius Bar had beer and no lines filled with old ladies trying to pull photos from their broken iPhones. They fixed my friend's laptop while we waited and played around on new computers, so it's basically like an Apple store without the fuss, long wait times, or pretentious millennias--no offense to millennials. Quality Macs is GREAT. Thanks guys! I highly recommend for buying a new Mac or getting something fixed. Apparently they also do trade-ins which is good to know.

I was even given a free clear laptop case!

I came in looking for a MacBook since my old one pretty much broke down after 6 years of use! The person who helped me walked me through their eBay listings and helped me find the perfect MacBook Air for only $500! It's been about a week and so far I haven't had any issues with it. There is a small dent in the corner which is totally fine in fact I expected a lot worse bc of how cheap the price was. I was even able to get a trade in value for my old MacBook so it's nice that I can get some money back. Overall, the service was amazing and informative! Definitely check this place out if you're looking to trade-in or even find a decent MacBook for a great price!

Upon walking in for my first time, the staff greeted me from behind the register. After looking at all the supplies, modules, and parts that were for sale, I felt like a kid in a candy shop! I've never seen a store quite like this and I was very excited. The shelves looked like my Amazon purchase history, although I had to restrain myself a bit to avoid upsetting the wife with my shopping spree. I was originally looking for multimeter fuse, sadly they didn't have the size I needed. The staff was extremely friendly and even gave me recommendations on where else I could go to find the fuse. The prices of everything else were extremely fair and would be comparable to being the same, or less than prices you would find online. Willy's is now my go-to for anything electric that I'm doing!

These guys are doing it right. Exactly what you hope for in a local business…read more I found DC through a Facebook group when I asked for computer repair rec's. Checked out their website, then gave them a call about cleaning up my Mac before my vacation. I put it off to the last minute and wasn't sure they could help. Luckily, they could help me, and the rush fee was $100. I love that fact they picked up the phone and it wasn't some dead doornail employee who could care less about my computer issue. Chris, the owner, actually answered the phone. He said to bring it down. I came in that same day and he told me they would: clean it up, install new OS, remove junk, and speed it up overall. He quoted me end of the week, but it was ready sooner, so happy about because it would be ready for vacation. Total came out to about $430 with the rush fee. It's been about 6 weeks now and my computer is running amazing, so fast! They also have refurbished Macs for sale, which I'll be back for when my current computer stops working. Super 5 Stars for DC Computers! They care about their business and customers. So glad I found them.

Dan and his team immediately put my nerves at ease. I brought in the laptop I use for work, and Dan understood the priority level right away. Not only did they fix the issue faster than expected, but the cost was far lower than I had imagined. As someone who has a small business, seeing their attention to detail was inspiring, it actually makes me want to be a better expert in my own field! They treated me like a local because they are locals and residents who have been serving San Diego for 10 years. If you need a repair or a new computer, go see them. I'll definitely be back!
