I would like to say thank you to Jenny Fuentes Sales Associate she was such great help. She went above and beyond to show us phones and answered all of our questions regarding different phones. It is people like Jenny who make shopping experiences excellent and because of her we will go back to her for our next upgrades. Verizon - Mobile Phones Near Me - Downey, California

Thank you Darwin and Cori for your professionalism and quick service. I gave them a 5 star because I visited this location on 3 separate occasions and all 3 times they were extremely helpful. Can't remember the other person's name, but she owns a huge Galaxy:) Thanks to these individuals I am super happy with my iPhone!!! read more

Bought a phone and a warranty was added without my consent. From what I can tell with all the reviews is this: there is no one helping to maintain customer satisfaction or honesty in this store. Verizon needs to do something about this. read more

Today I was at Verizon to quickly discuss something on my billing the manager David was very rude and his secretary the one that was taking the names at the front super rude as a business you need to look out for customers and be as professional as he can be. Because we don't just pay a little money we pay good money for a company to represent our cell phones don't know what's happening with Verizon but they have very unprofessional people they need to in-service there staff to make sure customers are getting taken care of. read more

I drive all the way from the newer Verizon at the Alameda Plaza in Los Angeles and go to Downey because I get better service here. I still get better service over the phone, crazy but true. P.S. I've gotten free upgrades because my replacement phones just don not seem to work the way they should...Just an F.Y.I., OH WAIT...eventually you get a non-refurbished one too ;) read more

Don't waste your time with this business! Seriously I wish I would have read the reviews before deciding to go with them. For one, reaching a rep in the right department is ridiculous. You'll be redirected over and over and not to mention you're guaranteed to be on the phone at LEAST an hour and that doesn't even promise getting a solution to your call. I started off with a wireless land line and internet. Paid the initial bill of 230. Hooked up the internet and realized it wasn't suitable, returned it and got a higher gig one. Got an initial bill for THAT one of almost 200. That's a total of 430. The second one should of been under the umbrella of the first account since the full initial payment was made. Trying to explain that to a rep and they all act like they have no idea how to fix the problem. Yet I'm still getting charged monthly for both accounts. A total of almost 700 for 2 months!!! That's insane. Oh and did I mention that if they can't help you over the phone they pretend they can't hear you and just hang up on you! It shouldn't take a trip over to the location to resolve a bill issue.DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH VERIZON!!! Stay with T-mobile!!! You'll thank me later!! read more

Verizon customer service sent me to this store to rerun a phone i bought online from Verizon. They treat the online and the stores like they are two different businesses. I bought the phone from Verizon and wanted to return it to Verizon under the 14 day return policy. The store refunded to help me. I asked to speak to someone in charge and was refused. I guess they run the place with no manager supervision. I called Verizon customer service from the stores parking lot. They gave me an address I can FedEx them the phone back to. Don't go into the stores. Never go into the stores. They are terrible and the staff is so rude and unwilling to help. I'm going to look into Sprint or AT&T or other competitor. 10 years with Verizon and this is how we get treated shame read more

Review is judge on customer service. Upon walking in. Notified employee I was there to pay my cell phone bill. He took my number and walked away. After walking around the store for 5 mins and fiddling with the phones and iPads. I noticed 4 employees. Sitting in the corner talking about their day. I then noticed that they have a kiosk in the corner. Went to use it. And guess what the touch didn't work. Pressed it about 50 times. While a employee stood 5 feet away watching me. I went back to the employee that took my number. Asked how much longer. He said soon. (All the while the 4 employees where now talking about the dodger game). I told him I would just pay it online or a later day. His response was ok. They have no respect for a persons time. read more

I'm surprised by the negative reviews. I've gone to this verizon store within the past 2 months. They switched me to my old iphone 5 without trying to upsell me a new phone. They even gave me a FREE sim card. Had to go back and upgrade, iphone was not my favorite, so I got helped by Bryant. He was quick, efficient, and professional. He got me set up with my phone, case, screen protector, wireless charger, and wireless headphones. I told him no extras I have to pay for but they weren't additional charges. I'm very happy with his service. I will be back to get my other line upgraded at this store and hopefully by the same associate. Definitely ask for Bryant. read more

Worse customer service I have experienced at a Verizon store. I went to upgrade a line and was placed in line by the host. Host tried helping until his internet went down. He went t inside to ask the manager and never came out. Long story short... Felipe (store manager) came out 25 min later and said they don't do upgrades at that store. They close at 8pm and this happened at 7:10 pm. I guess it takes long to upgrade a phone and we're in a rush to close. Great job Verizon!!! read more

Some of the team members are helpful. I've been deceived by some. There are some team members that will help you and be honest. Overall, they're okay. I come here to take care of minor issues. They should prioritize their customers. For example, I've been waiting for 25 mins only to have a SIM card replacement. I understand these other customers were here first, but they should have someone to assist with the minor account issues. read more

Please do not go to this store you are better off doing your business over the phone. I went to the store on Sunday a rep by the name of Marcelious helped me out. I needed to open 2 phone lines and transfer my husbands line under my name which was a total of 3 phone lines. This guy sold me the unlimited plan but he also stated this plan included another line for a hotspot device which I told him multiple times I did not need and had no use for it. He insisted it was part of the plan and there was no way I could leave it out. When I went online and saw my bill I had been charged a 30 dollar activation fee for the device (jet pack) plus there was going to be a 20 line fee every month for this line. I called Verizon to question why was a being charged for something that was part of the plan the rep over the phone stated this was not part of the plan and that if I had no need for it I could take it back to the store and return it at no charge since I was still whit-in the 14 day period. Had I not called and question this I would have been stuck with this for 2 years paying an extra 20 dollars a month for something I didn't need. PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH THIS MAN HE LIED TO MY FACE SO HE COULD GET A COMMISSION OVER A LINE I DID NOT NEED!!!! QUESTION EVERY SINGLE THING ON YOUR RECEIPTS BECAUSE THEY WILL LIE TO CUSTOMERS JUST TO GET COMMISSION. I spoke with the manager of the store and the only thing he said is that he was going to talk to the rep and coach him. This person is lying to customer for his own benefit and that is pretty shady and for the manager to say he is going to coach him instead of investigating how many other customers he had done wrong reflects very bad on this company and the store. I called their 1(800) to file a formal complaint and they told me they don't have a complaint department!!!!! Wtf is that they a huge company and they don't have a complain dept. I will be submitting my complaint the the BBB. read more

Extremely disappointed with my visit to this store on Sunday. When I was walking up to the store there was 3 employees standing at the door on their phones and showing each other something. I had to walk passed them and into the store for help. I told the lady I was interested in upgrading my phone and told her what I was interested in. She went to the back to get one and immediately asked me if I wanted it because they didn't have a lot and other people might want it and she didn't want to hold it if I wasn't interested. It was just an unpleasant experience and I felt like I was bothering her with my simple questions. I left without a phone after my experience there. I went in ready to buy a phone but with poor customer service I will go somewhere else. read more

Staff made it seem like we were getting a deal for the new iPhone 12. When the bill comes every month we get these bullshit "one time charges" and "add ons" we didn't ask for. Every month the bill is $300-450 when we were told it would be $70 per line plus tax a month. When I called the guy said "oh don't worry about it, there one time charges" don't worry about it? Really? I paid the activation fee of $180 in the store. The phones weren't working and they said we had to pay an activation fee of $310. When I called again to cancel the service for good I got an attitude from the representative she said "you shouldn't cancel just because you don't understand the charges." This is the worse experience I've had with a phone company. Would never go back to Verizon. Fucking thieves. read more

I went to Verizon today in search of a new samsung phone, always get good customer service they always ho above and beyond tell me my options but today let me tell you I recieved the worst customer service ever management should put people there that want to work or at least know what they are doing, but the girl for the most part if she doesn't want to be in contact with customers she should stay home. read more

I called before going about me upgrading my phone, because they were schedule to close in 30 minutes. Too bad the lowest rating is one star... This store is the worst verizon store... EVER. They changed my plan without permission, and wouldn't exchange my defective phone. I usually have to wait a long time bc this place is sooooo busy, but when I came in on Saturday I was immediately helped out. Surprise! I went in to get an upgrade, I was greeted by Christopher. He was very professional and nice, and cute lol =) I thought about switching to a Samsung, I have always had iPhones and considered switching it up a bit. After Christopher showed me both brands and told me the Pros and Cons of each, it helped me reconsider my decision and stuck to apple. I am glad I had a knowledgable representative, a few of my friends later told me I had made a wise decision to stick with apple. I was also told about an iPad promotion I had no idea about, I was able to get an iPhone and iPad for way less than at apple! Good thing he told me about it, it saved me a trip to apple and about $300!! I wish I could treat this representative to dinner or drinks, he made this interaction painless, not sure if it's bc he's cute or bc he seemed so calm and friendly...maybe both hehe =) best experience so far, this verizon worker is definitely an asset to the company. I would definitely refer my friends and family or anyone reading this to ask for Christopher! read more

I visited this place to pay off my old phone and get a new one. Not only did I wait for someone to help me for about an hour, it wasn't even busy as it has been other days. Before looking for a new phone, they suggested I go with the newest version of iPhone, which was the 13. I asked what was the difference in pricing, I did not want to pay way more for something other IPhones have. They told me it was only a $30 difference between the phone I wanted from that phone. Now, I questioned what other fees will I have to worry about and how much my monthly bills will come out to be, they gave me an estimate of $200. Now that I'm paying for the phone, I'm owing up to $500 per month. I asked the representative about 6 times if I for sure will just be paying $200 per month before buying the phone. They were 100% sure and I told me I will be owing more just the first month, and months after that will be $200. Why was I being lied to? Now I have to figure out if there's any other payment plans or trade ins, but it will be such more of a difficult time when you are not the account owner. So thank you Verizon ! read more

Worst customer experience ever. Highly upset about being deceived by sales rep Cesar. We went in to upgrade a phone and he told us we weren't eligible. We were about to walk out when he tells us that his manager said if we add a tablet line and purchase the accessory if the month we can do it early. He gave us the device installment option. Told us we would be paying $150 for the phone today and the rest would be on our bill monthly. He told us that we would just be paying tax for 3 accessories. That he would give us 12 extra gigs and that our plan would be cheaper than it was previously. We walked out the store with a tablet line, and accessories we did not need all because we needed a phone. I come home and look through my receipts and notice that on the customer agreement it said that there was no down payment for the phone??? So where was that $150 put? I look at the other receipts on my Verizon and see that I spent $150 in accessories that he told me I was only paying tax on. He lied to my face and said I was putting $150 down towards the phone when that wasn't the case at all. This is unacceptable. Why would I want to stay with a company that lies to their customers in order to make a sale? I also forgot to mention that after seeing he lied about what I was paying for I proceeded to check my plan online to make sure I had the 12 extra gigs he promised. I saw that instead of 12 extra he actually lowered me from 20 to 18 gigs??? I had to take time out of my evening to call customer service and figure that out. The girl told me that the plan was changed on demand and the 12 gigs were not added. I have many problems with that. 1. He let me leave the store thinking I could use a lot more data (especially with a new data line) 2. He didn't explain at all that I was going to be prorated because he could not backdate my plan and 3. Had I kept using data and ended up having more overages than I probably am going to incur do to his ignorance, I would have had a mess of a bill and had to call customer service only to be told that it happened in the store so I have to address my issue at to store level or just accept what was done. Yes, she actually told me that. What happened to world class experience? What happened to your problem is our problem the first time you call? Verizon Is messed up and I am definitely going to be making sure this gets resolved even if I have to climb up the ladder to get that resolution. Sincerely, Angry and disappointed customer read more

The employees here are rude and will try to upswell you and have you change your plan. I went into this Downey Landing store to upgrade my phone, seeing as how their promotion ends today. I tried calling first and the system tells you nobody is answering the phone because they are helping customers. It tells you the store closes at 8pm....and it was only 5:45pm. Verizon had been blowing up my phone and email with constant mssgs about upgrading and getting $800 credit towards a new phone. I get there and the greeter asks me what I was in store for. I told him I wanted to upgrade. He tells me it's past 6pm already and that they have other customers also waiting (there were 3 people waiting). I told him that was fine, I would wait. Then he says that it would go past 8pm. So I asked, ok, are you guys going to extend the deadline for the promotion, since I was already there, well before the store closes. He said no, but that I could call and do it over the phone. I told him I didn't want to do that, I want to see what I am buying. So he calls his manager over...a jerk named Ricky and asks him if they will be extending the promo and with a smirk he says NO! So I step in and ask, ok, so then what am I supposed to do? He then proceeds to tell me I can go to another store and I say, for what? So that they can tell me the same thing when I get there? He says Maybe. He then says you can call and do it over the phone and I told him, I don't want to do it over the phone, that's why I came down to the store. He then says due to staffing issues they can't help me. Keep in mind, both he and the greeter are doing NOTHING....except standing there. He then tells me, they are giving me options but I don't want them. I asked him, would you buy a car without looking at it first...he then gets annoyed and says come on man....I am not gonna answer that, you're comparing different things. I said, you won't answer, because you know I am right and you would be forced to basically take my side. Bottom line.....verizon has been pestering me for months now, but NOT ONCE in their stupid messages did they say "MUST MAKE APPOINTMENT" of "APPOINTMENT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED" or anything that would lead me to believe that I wouldn't be helped. In reading the previews reviews, it appears this store has a tradition of ABSOLUTE PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! SHOCKER!! I am going to be contacting the regional or district manager and then taking my business to another carrier. This store specifically is GARBAGE!!! read more

Worst service. Bryan is a joke. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and rather than listen to what I wanted he tried to convince me to go for their Edge plan. When I told him I rather pay for the phone and renew my contract, he got attitude and had the nerve to ask me if I had all the money to pay for the phone...can you believe it?! The edge plan, while it may be for some, it was not what I wanted. He also lied to me saying I needed to wait until my contract was up to upgrade. That is not true! I had already talked to Verizon. He just wanted to trick me into getting the Edge plan..something I did not want. Needless to say I left. I am seriously considering switching from Verizon I am so pissed. We went into Verizon to try to get the $10 per month for iPhone 7 or google pixel or galaxy s7 that they offered both online and advertised on commercials, but when we went into this store they basically said it was a $100 fee for each phone on top of the deal. So basically it was a $200 extra charge going through this store. We ended up just doing it online and saved the fee which was better. When we had asked the employee what the $100 fees were for, the employee wasn't even able to explain it to us. He just said that's how it is.
