I hate this place... I called just yesterday to speak to a manager to fix a mistake on my bill that I had previously gone in the store to fix and they put me on hold for 45MINUTES!!!!! I called from another line and they answered right away and didn't even know I was on hold. The manager said the phone call must have "slipped thru" they are a phone company how does this happen to them and it was not true because I was still hearing the verizon deals while I was on hold. On a different occasion I went into the store to fix my wifi jetpack and there was ONE other customer and the guy told me he would have to make an appointment for me in 1-2 hours so I made it and I waited and waited and waited and these guys were just standing there talking to eachother, not even working. I was pleasantly surprised that he was so professional and focused on getting the issue fixed as opposed to trying to get me to get a new phone or service. Another one star for the Verizon Wireless store in Downey. I'm sold a plan. I'm told that the plan by the assistant manager, with taxes and 3Gigs of data is around $76. He tells me that a SIM card is $22. All the other phone companies give SIM cards away, not Verizon. $22 up front. I pay it. I'm told that I can get all my information on the app, which I download. Today I try to log in to the app site to look at my account, The site says enter user ID or phone number. I have no idea what the user ID is so I enter my phone number. My phone number isn't accepted. The assistant manager failed to set up the account or told me that the account needed to be set up in the first place. I also discover that the monthly bill is $96. I'm told that the extra $20 is for a setup fee. I asked, why did the assistant manager tell me about the $20 setup charge? Why didn't he set up the account so that the app could be used? Why did he promise me that there should be no problems with my phone and data service, when I had the same exact problems that I had before with my previous service as far as reception goes? Who trains these people? If you like poor customer service and an expensive product, Verizon is for you! read more

False advertisement? I purchased two phones two months ago and was told there was a promotion if you buy AirPods they'd be free. However, you would have to pay for the AirPods and you'd get a visa in the mail within 6-8 weeks. Hi, it's been 9 weeks (: and guess who has to go back in the store and complain that their visa hasn't arrived ? Me. Not only that but when I purchased my phones the sales guy didn't even offer me any plan or asked me which plan I'd like he gave me the one he decided. So I go back and I'm like wtf man. Then I got a $300 credit that was suppose to go towards my bill. Have I received that credit ? Nope! I keep going back and they keep telling me it'll be added on to my next bill. And it does not. Last week on my day off I decided to come see what the hell was up with my phone bill. I had a 5,000 txt message bundle plus I was getting billed an extra $10 for premium txt messages. wtf?!? So I go in ready to bust some balls and demand they take this off my bill. Immediately my verizon helper calms me down and not only takes this ludicrous bundle off but she also checks the other phones and deletes of those as well. Turns out that when you txt in to a show to vote or whatever they charge you. Every month. sheesh. The only bad thing I have to say about verizon is that they are none to kind to the individual. The Family Plans are okay. But I want my phone to have unlimited txting and it turns out that I need another special plan that has unlimited talk as well (which I barely use) and other little charges which rack it up to be $99.99. All I want is unlimited txting. T-Mobile I found out does unlimited on any plan for $15. I pay $20 in verizon for only 5,000. Guess what I'm going to do? That's right my yelpers switch. read more

It was time to finally get a new phone because the one I had finally called it quits. My wife, my mother and I waited less then 5 minutes until we were helped by Jenny Fuentes. She was very patient, professional, and knowledgeable which made this whole process go so smoothly. They had the phone I wanted plus she informed me of a great deal which I was elegible for because I was trading in my old phone. All in all our experience was nothing but great, I had gotten what I wanted and we all had fun in the process. Thank again Jenny for all your help!!! I was there 15 minutes early & after waiting some time, I was informed that he was running behind on his appointments. They told me I can leave to grab a drink & come back in 30 minutes or wait there. I was already irritated considering I had just got off work & out of LA traffic. I decided to go to Best Buy & came back exactly 30 minutes after. I waited there another half hour & I still wasn't being helped. I noticed some other associates weren't occupied, so why couldn't they help me? I waiting another half hour after coming back & decided to leave. Since it was past business hours, I asked to be let out & the same guy who told me to come back in 30 minutes told me Francisco was finishing up when I clearly saw he wasn't. I wasted my time there! I cringe at the thought of saying anything positive about this company I've nicknamed "nazis" if it were not for my grandfathered plan (unlimited data, talk, text for $80.00) I would have left for t-mobile in a heart beat. In fact speaking of my aforementioned plan, these nazis tried on 2 occasions to steal it from me without my consent. Anyway, back to my 5 star review. The 5 star recipient of my silver lining award goes to... VICTOR. This guy is the definition of old school customer service. Stranded! Yes, I feel as if I was stranded. Friday, October 20th I entered store with my three Grandchildren (Ages, 2, 3 & 4) and needed replacement phone. They would not assist me. I came in here to remove my line from one account and transfer to another.. Now they were able to help me in releasing my number and transferring. I then proceeded to purchase a new device and was given an incentive to purchase an accessory along with my phone purchase. I was promised a promotional rebate of $150 back for the accessory purchase. Now the promotion got denied a month later and i come to find out it didnt even pertain to the accessory. I was lied to and lured into purchasing an extra accessory for someone to make their commission. I have now been to this store 3 consecutive times to try and resolve this issue. Currently sitting in here waiting for the manager to "try" to resolve my issue. They promised they were going to call me before 2pm AND get my rebate processed. It is now 3pm and I had to come down here to the store again because nothing is being done. Now I'm sitting here watching them call and lie to me that they have been trying for over an I highly doubt it because as soon as i walked in all of a sudden they scrambled to look like they were on the phone. I can see why this place has an overall of 2 stars. I went in to purchase of phone and Fernando C was trying to change my entire plan and add a tablet without asking me. He said my purchase for today was better than if I were to buy it online. The total amount that he was trying to charge me was $202. I left and I went online to purchase the phone was $132 for the taxes. I try calling back to complain because this is the second time something has happened. I spoke with the manager, Felipe, and he said that the prince online should have been the same in store. That there was no way it could have been different. Then I said that Fernando is probably a dumbass for not checking correctly and that he should be properly trained. Felipe seemed upset and he said that he couldn't help me if I use that language. I didn't want any help and was just complaining. The employees should be properly trained and if they were, then they can probably get more stars. Afterwards, Felipe said that there's a $20 discount when your purchase when you order online. It still doesn't add up to $132. They should get their stories straight and stop try to overprice customers. For Verizon, everyone should just buy the phones online. You'll save more money that way. read more

I live in the East Coast and someone at this location used my account to "upgrade" another customer using my account!!!! When I tried to use my phone and it didn't work, I called Verizon and was told that I upgraded my phone which of course was impossible because I was at work in another State!!!! The worst part is they uploaded "my contract on the app and the signature is obviously not mine!! This means that this store conducts fraudulent activities and account takeovers with Verizon clients; buyers and customers beware!!! When I called their fraud department I spoke to a representative and Although the explanation of what occurred was given, the fact that NO compensation for YOUR fraudulent activity on my account was ever discussed makes me believe that there is NO indication that this event was isolated and Verizon does not acknowledge the need for ownership of PROVEN FRAUD by Verizon Employees on consumer's accounts. The employee I spoke with was courteous and professional but I can tell based on the conversation that employees are required to follow strict guidelines when discussing Verizon's fraudulent activity. The fact that this incident was perpetrated by a Verizon employee means that Verizon as a company is to be held responsible. This should NEVER have happened. And IF it EVER happens, the resolution process MUST include compensation in the account resolution. I should be getting a NEW account number, a new phone number and an assurance that NONE of my photos, contacts and emails would be compromised by having been shared with anyone. I am not happy that this happened to me but I am very disgusted by the way it has been handled. To me it seems like I'm just another victim of fraud when in fact the fraud was conducted by Verizon. Never had an issue with Verizon or over the phone customer service so this review is only for this store but to complain about The manager at this location "Felipe" He has zero customer service . I picked up an online order at the door due to our times . Didn't think about looking at the items until I got home and upon inspecting saw that it was clear phone and case have been opened . I inspected items to see if I was given a used phone, it was clear that it was handled prior to myself . Seeing as this order was a gift I decided to cancel order because I didn't want to gift opened items . When I got to store and obviously items looked open and I explained that this is how I was handed items in bag , his initial reply was "nope you or a family member must have opened this. " this was not an acceptable response . Try a different store I'm sure you'll find better customer service than with Felipe . I've been a verizon wireless customer for over 10 years and this is the worst store I have ever been to!!! For starters you have to make a line outside in the hot sun. You are not allowed to go inside to browse merchandise and make a selection. Second the female they have standing outside in charge of the line was rude and very disrespectful! We walk up and see the line asked the people in front of us is this the line to go inside and they said yes..so after a few minutes I standing there the "line supervisor" goes If you guys are trying to get inside you have to come over here and sign In with me...excuse me? Are we not paying customers? As a business we should have been greeted when we walked up no reprimanded of the laws!!!! Needless to say i did not sped any money here and am now researching carriers with better customer service. Someone needs to tell these people that work at these stores that customer service is what is keeping them in business!!!!! Absolutely terrible experience! I signed up months ago for the "buy one get one free" special for the Samsung S7 and my experience has completely destroyed my trust In Verizon. The staff assisting me offered the option of getting accessories for the phones, which I originally declined. He then specifically told me that the assosories (case and screen protector) were free for the promotion and so I accepted. He told me that I was going to be charged $300+ for the month bill that included the activation fees and monthly costs for the two phones. I revised the review and it all seemed I order. Two days later I got charged an additional $300+ from Verizon again. I, thinking it was a simple error, went back to the store to sort everything out. But it turns out that the staff lied about the price of the assosories and they charged me for the assosories. I then tried returning the assosories then. I was informed that if I did that I would have to return the second phone as well. If Verizon is going to claim that they are giving out a free phone then also require you to buy $300 worth of crappy assosories they should explicitly say that or just be clear the "free" is really just 50% off the phone . So I am writing this review immediately after I left this place. I went with my girlfriend and baby to Juice It Up and then I decided to kill two birds with one stone and stop by here. I basically wanted to know if I was eligible for a discount since the corporation I work for allows it's employees to receive such discounts from this company. I had my check stub to prove it. So there I go, I was greeted by a big heavy set man who had a manager tag on him. I don't remember his name, I just remember him being heavy, light skin and dark maybe slicked back hair. He told me I had to sign in so that I can get help. He said there was a waiting list. I was shocked but figured maybe this was something new and perhaps I needed to be open to it. I asked him how long was the wait and he said about twenty minutes. I decided to wait. Eventually my infant got kind of tired of waiting around and my girlfriend was tired of chasing him. I had to go. He kepts saying all his representatives were busy, which most of them were. The thing that bugged me the most was the fact that he wasn't doing a thing. All he was doing was standing around looking at his phone and greeting people. As a corporate employee myself, I truly hate that. A good manager would have rolled up his sleeves and offered to help me, knowing that his employee's were already assisting other customers. I really got upset. What got me more upset is that there are so many people out there with better people skills then this manager and yet they are unemployed not because of their competence, but because of the recession. This manager at verizon should not be managing this store. I feel bad for his employee's. I know for a fact that Verizon is a wonderful company and having people like him represent the store is a huge mistake. So after waiting for awhile, I left. My only regret is that I didn't think of all of this until after I drove away. Had it came up in my head at that moment, I would have told that man how I felt and questioned his leadership skills. read more

If I can give no stars I would the workers there are only trying to get commission and did not want to help me until they were done with customers that were going to buy something. So unless you are gonna buy something they will twiddle their thumbs and sign you in later after you asked to sign in (about 20 mins ago) then say you have to wait another 35-45 mins on top of the 20 you already waiting to sign in. After you make a purchase and something goes wrong they will "help" when they see fit not when you have a problem with a new phone if you want help I suggest calling Verizon directly and they will help you. read more

My wife and I were looking to switch from Sprint to a new carrier. We had our doubts about Verizon but decided to hear what they had to offer. Got the opportunity to speak with Andy. Andy was not only helpful and approachable, he was also extremely knowledgeable. He was patient with us and went out of his way to set us up with a fantastic Edge deal. Didn't have to sign a 2 year phone contract, hooked is up with an extra GB package and we are spending just about the same per month as we were with Sprint. The new phones are great and the network service, so far, has been superb. If you're looking for a new carrier, and haven't given Verizon a chance yet, go talk to Andy! read more

So I walked in a little hot. I got the new iPhone 7s Plus as an early Xmas present but I got a bad phone and it crashed the first night. Mr Aragon walked right up to as I walked in, I like that! I stated my problem and he was on it like a lightning bolt! He assessed my problem and right away started my exchange! I noticed all the other employees all asking him questions while he helped me completely staying focused on me even as more customers came in who wanted his help as well! He set me up ASAP! This was one of the best customer service experiences at Verizon in a long time! I asked him if he was the manager because he was so attentive and knowledgeable. There were two or three other employees in the store as well and you can tell he's their go to man. This guy deserves a raise. Worst customer service I've ever experienced no form of communication no customer service no common sense or ability to help their customers I do not understand how these people have jobs they all act them same completely incompetent of dealing with people and customer service. I come to this location after purchasing a phone for my wife two years ago. With the holidays coming up I thought it would be nice to upgrade her phone to the new iPhone 6. I ordered the phone on 12/13 and was told that it would arrive before the holidays which is what I was looking for. I received a confirmation email from Verizon that the order was placed with tracking information. I signed up for notifications from fedex and the phone was received and signed for on the 17th for which I was very impressed for. I asked my wife to come shopping with me so that I could surprise her. When we arrived to the store we were greeted and helped by a young male. It appeared that he was new and had many questions, which was ok, everyone is new at one point. When he began to set up the phone I asked about a promo to repurchase the phone that was being replaced and that's when it all began to fall apart. The person who appeared to be the manager Andrea said that she was not sure if the program was still going on and that " it was or it wasn't she did not know" . Her next sentence was to the effect do you want the phone or not, I could care less if you do or don't. She then said that the phone that I had ordered had not arrived. This was after I told her that I had a signed confirmation that it was received at this location. I'm not sure which phone she was going to give me then?? My wife and I left this location very frustrated I asked to speak to their manager she said he was never there. I did not buy a single thing and after having Verizon for 8 years I am seriously looking at dropping their service because of this experience that we received at this location. I currently have fios also and are under no contracts anymore. After following up a little more I found out that this is not a corporate location and this is why I received such poor service however I don't understand how Verizon would allow a business to brand itself as if it was. To me the consumer this location represents Verizon and I expect that level of professionalism and not what we received on what was supposed to be a great experience for my family. The sales guy Alvaro took time to sit down with us and try to figure out the problem with my daughters phone. He was patient, courteous and professional. He figured out why my daughters phone didn't work and gave us some good advice as to what to do with it. I wish I would have got his last name but his first name is all I remember. Never coming back here. I originally came in for just an upgrade on my line, but was a little hesitant because I had unlimited data still. But they raised the price for it so I expressed this concern to Victor, the guy who helped me. He told me to hold on and just walked straight to the back room and disappeared for about 20 min. I think the other workers noticed I was looking for him because they asked him to come out. He finally came out a little bothered looking and explained he was trying to find the best plan for me. 1) he could've just said that instead of "I'll be back" & 2) why couldn't he do that in front of me? Anyways he officially came back with 3 different plan options all well over $200 for just TWO lines!! So after some back and forth he offered a plan for less than $200 with 24GB of data BUT he can only give me this plan if I had a hotspot and 2 HUMS (some type of road assistance thing), so I thought why not; if this is the only way he can lower my plan I'll do it. He told me the plan would start on the 24th of November which is when my billing plan starts. When I checked my account a few days past the 24th I noticed my plan hadn't changed. So I call customer service to see what happened and apparently he never changed my plan nor did I need the 3 new devices to get my plan down to under $200!! This guy victor played me and I plan on returning the 3 new devices today. Never in the 7 yrs I've been w/ Verizon have I ever had a bad experience. Thanks for changing that Victor. read more
