Went into the store to get a replacement for a malfunctioning Verizon phone. The saleswoman, who's name I am sorry I didn't get, told me my options were to buy a different phone at full price or to use my insurance, which has a $100 deductible. This is the second LG G2 which had this LCD problem, and I told her that I didn't want the same phone since two of them have had the exact same issue. She was very unhelpful, and when I asked if there was anyone else I could speak with, she started getting very defensive, accused me of "getting mad at her", and told me that I better not "get mad at her". I told her I wasn't mad at her, just not happy with the service. She offered to call the insurance for verizon - I needed to get a new phone, so I accepted the offer and she handed me their landline phone over the counter. The insurance call requires answering about 100 prompts via keypad, and after about 5 minutes of reaching over the counter and pressing buttons on their landline, I took the handset, and dropped it from a height of roughly 1 inch onto the counter and turned to leave, frustrated. As I turned my back on her to walk out, she accused me of "throwing the phone at her", which was preposterous. I looked at her like she was nuts, and she again accused me of throwing the phone at her and telling me I had to leave, which is what I was trying to do. Very bizarre behavior. I got home, called Verizon Corporate, and they are sending me a replacement phone, no charge, don't have to use insurance, no deductible, etc. They were very concerned about my treatment at the 4G store, and told me that the store is NOT "Verizon Corporate". Next time I'll be heading to the store in Walnut Creek. read more
