Why does it feel like I'm buying a used car every time I go to purchase a phone? The rep talks to me, goes in the back to talk to their manager, and then comes back out like a negotiation. WTF? I just want a phone what is going on??? I was there for over 2 hours and exhausted to end up with ANOTHER line, a business account, a new internet (which I never even was told this was happening!) a box showed up at my doorstep with a new internet box. I am being charged for 2 internet accounts, my bill is now outrageous. The manager gave me his business card "to help" but when I reached out no answer! Ok so a little about me being a 71 year old get off my lawn guy, I was grumpy when I walked into the store to deal with a broken phone issue. Ricky was the young guy that greeted me and to make a long story short I actually had a very pleasant and even fun experience. Not only did he handle the issue with calm and expertise he seems like a good down to earth person. I left the store much more positive about the store then when i walked in. I am so tired of Verizon customer service offering one thing and then you go into the corporate store and they don't have it. I've gone into the store three times now directed from the 800 customer service number and all three times corporate store says they don't do anything for their clients. Verizon is worthless, if you continuously like fighting bills that go up even though they say it's a locked price for a certain period of time, then this is your group. Crappy service, crappy customer service who tells you whatever you want to hear just to get you off the phone, and then no service at the corporate stores. Meanwhile, the other stores, will tell you anything they need to tell you to sell you a phone. This company is scamming its clients. If they offered you a bill that was gonna stay permanent for a certain period of time and it keeps moving up, let's start a class action suit. Ordered an item for pickup from their Express Pickup Locker. Loved it! Item was ready in less than 2 hours. I just walked up to the locker, punched in my phone number, confirmed the access via my phone and BAM. Door popped open and I was good to go. It was so frustration-free and I loved it. Parking is easy and free. Right in front of the store and plenty. Next time I have to get something without the wait, I'll definitely use this feature again. read more

I rarely take the time to write negative reviews, but my experience with Verizon Wireless has been so consistently frustrating that I feel people deserve to know what they're getting into. I've been a loyal Verizon customer for years, hoping things would improve, but this store has shown me that customer care is no longer a priority for them. From the moment I walked into the store, the staff seemed completely uninterested in helping customers. No greeting, no eye contact, no sense of urgency -- just a group of employees who clearly didn't care whether I stayed or left. I explained that I had been having issues with my internet service for several months and that speeds had noticeably dropped compared to other providers in my area. Instead of showing concern or offering to troubleshoot the issue, I was met with blank stares and vague answers. It felt like they just wanted to move on to the next person or get back to whatever they were doing. What made the experience worse was that I specifically mentioned I was thinking of switching providers because the service quality has gone downhill. You would think that might prompt someone to at least try to retain a longtime customer -- but no. They didn't even ask why I was dissatisfied or what could be done to make things right. The lack of interest or effort to keep a customer was shocking. It's almost as if they've given up on providing any level of personal service. To make matters worse, the internet performance in my area has dropped so significantly that I can't even rely on it for work or streaming. Calls drop, data speeds lag, and the so-called "5G coverage" is inconsistent at best. When I raised these issues, the response was basically, "That's just how it is right now." No accountability, no solution, just excuses. At this point, I've had enough. Whenever I actually want reliable internet service, I end up going to Spectrum, where the staff is friendly, professional, and genuinely tries to help. It's sad when you have to leave your own provider's store and go somewhere else just to get good service. Verizon used to be known for quality and reliability, but those days are clearly over -- at least at this location. The attitude, the lack of communication, and the complete disregard for customers make it clear that they no longer value the people who pay their bills. I strongly recommend anyone considering Verizon to think twice. Don't be fooled by their advertising -- the reality is poor customer service, declining network performance, and zero accountability. Harbor Blvd Corporate Store: If I could give a zero I would. I don't go on Yelp and write reviews, but since there seems to be absolutely no way to actually call a store anymore and try to find a district manager to talk to I am hoping your corporate will read this review. My family has been a customer for 21 years. The manager "Vincent" and the other guy who was also working as a manager on Sunday December 7th are the absolute worst. So incredibly rude. They both had a "I don't care about your problem " Actually the least professional Verizon experience I have ever had. The second manager even walked away from the phone while the 1-800 customer service rep "Angel" was trying to sort out what happened to my 12.30 appointment that "Greg" at that 1-800 had scheduled for me. I had just spent two hours on with customer service buying a new phone and they scheduled an appointment for 12:30 at the Costa Mesa store to pick up and handle the transfer and etc. Well not sure what actually happened to that appointment ~ but someone dropped the ball. Ok can live with that, but how these guys treated me is unacceptable. Zero manners. Once I got to the store Vincent said "No, there is no appointment mentioned here, there are 7 people ahead of you. You will need to come back at 3.00". I tried to explain that Greg from the 1-800 made the appointment. This was the time he gave to me over the phone multiple times during our call. Maybe Greg messed that up, although Greg was great. Anyways, Vincent said call the 1-800 to talk to someone as he didn't want to deal with me about it. Very, very rude. Finally got a gal named "Angel"on the phone and the second mansger guy wouldn't even let her finish talking and walked away from the call on my phone with her asking to please accommodate my appointment. Angel was shocked how unprofessional he was, truly unacceptable the way he even treated a fellow employee. Just left in the middle of their conversation. These two men have no business working with the public if they do not know how to treat customers . There is obviously zero accountability at this store since all I can do is leave this review that no one will probably ever read that matters. I am completely put off by how unprofessional, uninterested in my problem they were as if they couldn't be bothered. Just awful. Verizon ~ you need to have a direct place where a customer can actually have contact with someone that overseas this kind of rudeness. Attitude is everything. They could have said, "I don't know what happened, I am sorry about that, especially after hearing you spent two hours on the phone and then driving all the way over for an appointment. I walked in just hoping to get some billing questions answered and had every intention of switching phone providers because my recent experience trying to return a phone to one of the Victra stores was an absolute disaster. I walked in with minimal expectations and mentally ready to switch phone providers before my next bill. Diz changed my mind. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and proactive. Easily one of the best customer experiences I've had in my life. He provided clarity on all my questions and even anticipated some questions I had before I asked him. He was understanding of my recent experience with Victra, and I can say with 100% certainty, I wouldn't be a client today without the great customer service Diz provided. I had just replaced my broken cellphone with a new one like my old one. And because I, at first thought it was lost and possibly stolen, I got help with having services turned on. But I'm also glad I was able to transfer all my files from my old to this new phone myself prior of which I saved myself the heartache of having to pay for them to do all of that transferring. Monica the associate was super. It only took her 5 minutes at the most to get my cellphone service back on because I wasn't able to do that particular procedure myself. 23-year customer, have always paid premium prices to have Verizon's better service and coverage. Over the last 10 years there has been a steady decline in service to the point that we finally made the leap and switched carriers. Other carriers have caught up with coverage, offer welcoming service and have more competitive pricing. Went into the Costa Mesa store to get assistance to pay our balance off so that we could be complete with Verizon. The store manager, Jason said he could not help us and had no empathy whatsoever. He was rude, condescending, even sarcastic. There were two employees standing near him who had their heads down and were noticeably uncomfortable, as were we. It costs nothing to be kind and respectful to people. I'll leave this review in case it helps someone. You might want to try a different store, or better yet, a different carrier. read more

An employee with a man bun snapped so horribly at a frustrated elderly man who was having trouble paying his bill. After signing in the man asked, could you just maybe help me out and the employee RAISED his voice pointing to the last three people he had checked in and said, LOUDLY, I can't put you in front of the last three people I checked in, I can't do that to them! The elderly man wasn't asking him to he merely asked could you show me how to pay my bill online!?! The poor elderly man was shook up and noticeably embarrassed and in frustration he snapped at the employee and left the store. We encountered many issues transferring data and services to the new phones. Perhaps our kids have modified their phones too much. Every rep there cheerfully gave us good service with a very helpful attitude. I have been a loyal customer for many years. Customer service is always great on the phone, but this location needs management. I had a serious problem with my cell today, and as a government worker needing to be in contact with co-workers and with an elderly parent to maintain contact with, I needed help. I was there 2 minutes after opening and was told 2 people ahead, you'll have to wait. The guy checking people in was doing personal texting and another employee was laying down shelf paper. There was one guy helping a customer. After a while, I begged the check in guy again and was firmly chastised by the girl laying shelf paper that I would have to wait and both workers were busy. Finally, check in guy says well, let me look at it for you. He fixed it in a few minutes and I was back to work. Management needs to train workers that customer service is very important and that all other companies are getting much better at it. I get that laying shelf paper was important, but getting people past their problems and back to their daily lives is what they are there for. At least they should make an attempt to multi-task and act like they care. read more

This review is for the Verizon store on Michaelson in Irvine,CA. My husband & I have had to make two recent visits to this store. Our first visit we worked with a young man named Matt, he was friendly & warm and knowledgeable helped us figure the best use of our phone lines. Our account has quite a few layers so we were confused ourseloves; Ryan (I believe he's a manager, stepped in to help us get everything straight. Both are amazing to deal with. (I'd rather go buy a car than go the phone store) We went in today and were lucky enough to get the both of them again! Matt helped us set up our new phones & iPad. I saw a promotion in store and Ryan explained all the Modem for internet, I'm happy to say we're on the 30 day trial for our WiF. Ryan explains the fine print, very good sales without being pushy at all. (My husband & I both have sales backgrounds) To wrap this up Matt & Ryan are an asset to your team & I now look forward to seeing them at the store! read more

Came in here after my wife bought an iPhone directly from Apple but was instructed to go to Verizon directly to help with activating a new SIM card. Was greeted by a worker who was not wearing a mask and told us that it might be some time until we can get some assistance so we just needed to hang out in-store until then. My wife had to tell him twice to put it on since it was lazily around his neck which is just awful customer service, but what made less sense was that he was just standing around while we and several other customers were waiting to be helped. What purpose does he serve if he's just going to greet people, tell people to wait, and continue to stand around with his tablet as if he is capable of helping, but instead do nothing? And even after putting on the mask, when he was walking around telling everyone just to wait a few more minutes, he'd continue to take it off before talking to everyone - which defeats the purpose of wearing it. Nevertheless, we finally got assisted by someone else in the store who "fixed" the SIM card issue for my wife. Despite the phone not working yet, he told us that were free to go home since it would "take some time" for the SIM card to be activated in her new phone - but three hours after getting home, the phone still wasn't working. Since the phone wasn't working, I used the Verizon "Chat With Us" feature on their website to work with someone who was way more efficient at fixing the issue. I wish we knew to do this earlier as it would've saved us a ton of time and effort. What was the point of coming to this store? Everything we needed to do was resolved online. Vincent, The manager here took such amazing care of me when I went into this location. He is the embodiment of great leadership and amazing customer service and should be promoted to a District leader or area manager simply because of his empathy and competence as a business owner/leader. I went into this location to pick up the internet box that I purchased for home internet. During my pickup, I decided to share a horrible experience I had at the Verizon Downey Landing location on Firestone/Lakewood blvd. That location took advantage of my elderly father who has dementia and sold him a flip phone with a $50/month bill along with a protection plan, all of which cost more than the phone itself. It was simply elderly abuse, which is illegal, just to make a sale. When I explained this situation to Vincent he was so concerned for my situation that he connected me with escalations/customer service dept right away to have them help me with finding a resolution to this issue since I paid out of pocket fees to reverse the entire account for my father, which should have never been opened in the first place. Customer service vehemently apologized for that Downey store's negligence and assured me they would provide me with a refund. This all could have been handled at the Downey store, but the manager there refused to help me and proceeded to deny all wrong doing. This location however, in costa mesa is the complete opposite. They are there to take care of their clients in the best way possible and not take advantage of their clients just to make a sale. This is exactly how I felt before I left. I am so appreciative of Vincent and his entire staff here. They should all get a raise and lots of praise for excellent service and customer retention. You guys are the best! Made the switch from AT&T back to Verizon. Had been with AT&T for 5 years and now I'm back with Verizon bc of all the dropped calls in my house and around CM. When I walked in last night to pick up my SIM card Felipe took such good care of me. Explained as my service transitioned for one evening I would possibly have some dropped calls, also how the WIFI extender works. He made me realize the difference in service levels between AT&T and Verizon. When I walk into AT&T they kind of blow you off, the caliber and of people working there is very low. But Felipe reminded me what it's like to be treated like a "very important customer."
