I remembered using uBreakiFix before for other devices, so I decided to give them a try before making a big purchase. They quickly checked my iPad and confirmed it was charging properly. A week later, my iPad was fully repaired at a very reasonable price! I'm so excited to have my "baby" back, and uBreakiFix will always have my business from now on. Their repairs come with a one-year warranty, and their customer service is always top-notch. Highly recommend!

My computer's hard drive ran out of space & I did all I could to make room, but it kept filling up…read more Something called the Capabilities Access Manager had created a 160GB file of junk. I couldn't get rid of it, so I took it to a UbreakIfix on Chicago Ave in Chicago. I also had a problem with my page layout; words were pressing together and overlapping. They kept my computer overnight. I picked it up, they got rid of that file, and I had my HD space back!! I was pleased until I tried to do other stuff. I couldn't get into my settings to change the video. I took it back, they kept it 2 days, claimed they fixed it, but they didn't. It would take too long to tell you the two weeks of Hell I went through. I found out from my Google Artificial Intelligence that they fixed the first issue, but created many more by corrupting the Capabilities Access Manager program in Windows, which controls permissions and related settings. Every time I went to a website, I would always get a pop-up asking if it was OK. I couldn't get into my permissions to change it from ASK to ALLOW. Every time I tried to go to settings & change permissions, I was kicked out. This went on for 2 weeks. After hours of dealing with AI, we finally went in and deleted and rebuilt the CAM svc. I FIXED IT!!! Well, AI fixed it. I tried calling their home office to complain & I got some clown at Asurion who refused to even pay any attention because, according to him, UbreakIfix was a totally different company. I tried telling him Asurion OWNED them & he rejected that and claimed that was not true & there was nothing he could do. Finally, I tracked down a Florida location and called, but got a lady from the Philippines on the phone. She took my call, was very nice, and told me there was nothing she could do but would have someone call me. The next day, I got a lady on the phone, and I explained all the trouble. She offered me a refund of my $100. I told her I wanted $50. They did solve one problem, but I'll be damned if they get to keep all of it. So, I'm waiting on my $50. I hated the service, but the response after I finally got someone other than an idiot on the phone, who didn't even know who he worked for, was reasonable. The reason I went to them is that they had fixed a phone for me. I say use them at your own risk. The corporate customer service person in America did her job. She listened, apologized, and offered a solution. I was not pleased with the people in the store on Chicago. They lied to me and told me they had fixed the problems they caused and they didn't. That is unacceptable.

Don't waste your time at this store!!!!!!…read more My brother and I went in to upgrade our iPhones to the iPhone 16. Initially, Erick said they had the colors and models we wanted (iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro) in stock. However, everything changed when we started reviewing the quotes. First of all, he wasn't planning on explaining what was included in the quote until we asked why it was so expensive. It turned out he had added a protection plan, which we decided to opt out of. Once we opted out, his attitude completely changed. He went to the back to "check" the inventory, and suddenly, they were out of both the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the iPhone 16 Pro. I suggest walking 10 minutes over to the Apple Store on Michigan Avenue to upgrade your phone. The service there is incredible and 100 times better.

I informed her that I was there to purchase a replacement set of Samsung galaxy earbuds, because I lost one from my current pair a few days ago. She immediately responded, "We don't sell those." I was confused, because I purchased the first pair from a Different AT&T store just a few weeks ago. She said "we only sell Airpods" and I replied, "You do not sell Samsung Products?" she said no instantly. Another sales person (possible shift Manager) who sitting at a station on the computer corrected her and said, "Yes we do sell those, but we do not currently have any in stock." I asked what they did have in stock and the first sales woman said "we only have the newest version the Pro 4's." I had no idea what that meant, but asked if they were Samsung earbuds and she said no, they are Airpods." Obviously confused, I informed her that I did not have an iPhone and did not think they would work. She replied, Sarcastically, " They work they connect via bluetooth" Which I clearly did not know. She vaguely waved her hand and under a breath said the earbud section is "over there" and I asked if I it was o.k. if I go over to look at what they had. Instead of walking me over she slowly trailed me to the station, and as soon as I started looking at the models on display, she LITERALLY, SLOWLY BACKED AWAY FROM ME AND WENT TO TALK TO A NEW CUSTOMER THAT ENTERED. She did not ask me if I had any questions, let me know that she would be right back like, HOMER SIMPSON STYLE BACKED OUT OF THE POINT OF SALE. After standing there for a few minutes reading the specs, I realized I could not in any good conscious buy anything from this location given the completely disrespectful and careless attempt at service despite the fact that I REALLY NEEDED to replace the earbuds. I began walking out and neither Saleswoman even addressed me or acknowledged that I was leaving as I walked past them both. Hands down WORST EXPERIENCE. I was a guaranteed sale, and most likely an upgraded sell at that. Two weeks prior at the first location I ended up buying a Watch and a new insurance plan for all of my devices literally because the salesman was INTERESTED in selling me things.

The place was so clean and the moment I walked in he was very friendly ! Already told my friend who needs her laptop repaired ! And on a side note I went earlier to iBrokeuFix repair shop on the south loop and there was 5 people waiting in line... the shop was small and crowded and dirty with boxes on the floor and he was not fixing on the spot but only assessing and adding a bill for what it would be, each was over 200 ... left immediately and found this place on Yelp.... Ahhh great way to start the New Year!!

Such a nightmare of an experience - avoid at all costs. My review will probably get buried under…read moretheir fake positive ones, but this place is such a scam. Went in with a broken screen on an iPhone 15 pro. This place advertised $200 to fix it - nice! Found out when I got there, that meant "aftermarket screen" not a genuine apple one (those are $450, way higher than going to the apple store for $330). But okay, he flashed me his and said it was an aftermarket one that worked, so I went with that. When I picked it up, it looked... ok? But their credit card reader was "broken" so they required that I pay via zelle, cashapp or apple cash - convenient payment options so that you can't call your credit card company to reverse transactions for their crappy products and services. Less than 48 hours later, the screen was coming off the phone and light was leaking out the top and sides, it was heating up a lot and after comparison with my partner's iPhone, I noticed it was much dimmer and more green/blue than the real apple screen. I went in today to get a refund, literally less than 2 days after getting it "fixed." The guy there agreed that it was not working and that the screen was coming off, but said they'd thrown away my old screen (so that I couldn't switch it out on the spot, convenient) and without taking the (broken, crappy) screen off my phone, they couldn't even give me a PARTIAL refund. Needless to say, I didn't want to walk out of the shop with a screenless phone and a partial refund. They also offered to put a genuine apple screen on if I paid another $250 on top of the $210 I'd already paid and waited a few days for them to order it (MIND YOU - THE APPLE STORE DOES THIS SAME DAY FIX FOR $330). Also wasn't particularly keen on having them do any other work on it, given the shoddy prior work. Pleaded with him for a bit but no luck. But hey, the guy there agreed if I brought back the screen after getting it fixed at the actual apple store, he'd give me a partial refund. He also assured me that apple would give me the (broken, crappy) screen after they put a real one on it. Okay - off to the apple store. But lo! It turns out when you bring apple a phone with a (broken, crappy) aftermarket screen, in order to fix it they require the (broken, crappy) aftermarket screen to be thrown away! No luck getting it back for my partial refund. Almost like the guy knew that was the case when he sent me away... So $330 at Apple plus this scammy place's $210 later I fixed a slightly cracked screen. TL;DR don't go here, they will scam you with their crappy products and no credit card option. No evidence but wouldn't at all be surprised if the positive reviews are fake - obviously not a 4.9 experience.
