At least in comparison to the nearby, Apple store, the Verizon shop offered a relatively seamless pick up experience for what I needed. I dropped in, what I ordered and what was supposed to be. Reddy was actually in fact ready and it was given to me quickly without a lot of extra hassle. I was also pitched on some deals that, when I checked online, did not appear to be consistent with the company's current offers. I found this a little odd. But I had no immediate needs and so did not feel compelled to dig into this matter any further. read more

I placed an order to pickup at this location. Driving from one and a half hours away and being delayed by traffic, I arrived 5 minutes after closing. The salesmen (Patrick) were still helping customers but would not let me pick up my paid purchases. I was told they could not open the door to do any more business not even to hand me the prepaid purchases in a bag. So very frustrating and uncalled for behavior. I decided to take advantage of the new phone offer at Verizon and transfer my number and business to them. The phone I wanted was not in stock, so one was 'shipped to me'. That's where this began to deteriorate. They used UPS to deliver the phone. Restrictions do not allow me to change the delivery. I traded work shifts with another person to stay home today to receive the new phone. UPS did not deliver to my home. I have Ring camera video to prove it. They attempted delivery to a neighbor and left the ticket on a neighbor's door. I was on hold for 42 minutes with Verizon. The call dropped, and no one called back (Antonio). Then, I was on hold for 18 minutes when the call dropped. No one called back (Gladys). Then, (Thelma) asked me to call UPS directly and she stated that she would call back in 30 minutes to see how the delivery changes were being process. No call back (Thelma). UPS won't allow me to change the delivery because of Verizon's restrictions. Now, I need to miss another work shift to hope that UPS will delver to MY ACTUAL ADDRESS and not a neighbor's address. I plan to cancel the phone and my customer experience at Verizon tomorrow. They'll have to take it up with UPS. read more

Went to check out deal for new phone, pad and watch. Sales rep Deanna went as far as starting to back up my phone. She came out with a new monthly quote. My bill would have gone up $100/month. I told her was not going to pay $100 more. Her response was ok. She didn't offer anything else which would not have increased my bill. Just opened a new line a week ago. The associate sneaked the protection plans and services I did not ask for. After signing paperwork he told me first month would be free and that I could cancel the next month. First bill came in and I have over $100 on services I never wanted. I know I know, places like Verizon, Spectrum (Time Warner), etc. that provide a service over time tend to be the worst when it comes to service. It's generally true. I utterly despise Time Warner Cable. But as a fact of life for those of us wanting to stay in touch, we gotta have a phone bill somewhere. I've chosen Verizon for years and haven't regretted it ever. Even when I've changed to AT&T in the past, I've always found myself back on Verizon. I've reviewed another Verizon location or two in the past. One of them even got one of my rare 1-star reviews. This one doesn't though. Four stars is the highest I'll go. I think you'll almost always find yourself waiting for help here. They have a good setup with checking you in as soon as you walk in the door. But then you'll wait a good while even while it seems that some employees are totally available. In the end, there are some helpful and some not-so-helpful employees in the mix at this location. Service is good and seriously covers you almost anywhere. I do hate to say it, as I've recently switched from Apple to Android, that the signal and interaction between an iPhone and the Verizon network is far superior. While Verizon may be the most expensive wireless provider, I will always be willing to pay the price for coverage almost anywhere. read more

Great customer service and easy to make appointments online if you are a Verizon customer. I highly recommend using the appointment feature. I've been a Verizon customer for many years and this location usually has good customer service representatives. I think the time of day you visited can affect wait times. If possible go early when they open. Parking lot adjacent, behind Harpers, can be easier to enter and leave since South Park is busy. read more

Shawn Drayton Sr is the bomb! He helped me grab two phones and explained to me deals that I was not aware of. There is a lot foot traffic here and Verizon is required to follow steps with lots of inventory and contract details. Everyone needs to be patient and have the expectations that it will take a while if there is a line and take a while to process each and every customer. It is not the fault of the store. Would never recommend this store! Had an issue with returning a phone that I just received, to possibly get the XL version. Called Verizon first, and was instructed to go to this store, to do the swap. We had purchased the original on a promo, and the agent in this store told us that the promo would be honored on the XL, not to worry. Unfortunately, we find out that we were charged the full price, the promo was Not applied. Called the store and was told there is nothing they can do about it, i would have to call Verizon and work it out with them. I had to spend OVER 3 hours, making phone calls and pleading my case over and over. At this point we just want to give them the phone back and be done with it. This is unacceptable! Let me start by saying there are some excellent emplyees at the South Park Verizon store. However there is one in particular who is horrible. First off, I am a Verizon Business Customer with more than 12 phones and lines. In addition, I have two "hot spot devices that was stolen and needed to be replaced. To replace one of the two devices I went into the Verizon Store in South Park. I learned this store is independently owned which is ,I understand, is different than a corporate owned store. Having said that, the ownership of the store is not the problem. That comment was just an observation. As I mentioned above, I am a business customer and as such, when I entered the store, explain my needs I was directed to the person that assisted Small- to Medium businesses like mine. That person was one Reginald McKoy. Mr. McKoy preceded to order me a new Hot Spot Device which he promised would be delivered to my home in two business days. After 7 days and not receiving the device I went back to the Verizon store. Mr. McKoy was not there but one of the other sales person called him on the phone and promised to look into the matter and call me back. After not hearing from Reginald, I proceeded to call him several times. He never answered nor returned any of my calls. I then returned to the Verizon store looking for Mr. Mckoy or someone to help me. McKoy was not there. While standing in the Verizon store, I called Reginald again. No answer. I then asked one of the sale persons to call him . Mckoy immediately answered the phone and told the sales clerk that he spoke with me the day before and he took care of my concerns. Nothing can be further from the truth. There is nothing worst than a cowardly liar like Reginald Mckoy. If you ever have to do business with the South Park Verizon store, stay away from this clown and low life liar Reginal Mckoy. If Verizon cares anything about its customers, they would put this lying , incompetent sleezy bag, Reginald Mckoy on the street where he belongs. It is not this store so I'm not trying to pick on them. It is the service I'm getting from Verizon. A couple of months before my contract was up and my phone which is only a year old. All of a sudden I had no signal strength and my place never problem before. And now for almost a month the messenger plus has been screwing up I've had one question answered about it. It did not help and now is erasing old messages from people. From all the way back from let's say Friday to 2018. Once again I do not feel that I'm getting the proper service from Verizon that they say on TV. Maybe this will get me an answer on how to fix the messenger or maybe it's time to move on to a different company. read more

I am not one to write bad reviews but Verizon literally stole $600 from me and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of service at this location and wish I could leave a negative 10 star review. I was a new customer to Verizon in March 2020. Had all this not occurred, I probably would've been a life long customer. However, my experience with Verizon, particularly this location, has been nothing short of a nightmare. I will be switching to a different phone provider the second I get this resolved. I purchased a phone back in March at this location. One phone. However, Verizon pushed through my application twice, charged me two $100 deposits and mailed me two phones. I drove all the way back to the store to return one of the phones. I was given a receipt and told that one of the deposits would be refunded back to my card. It is now February 12th, 2021 and I have yet to receive a dime. In addition to this, I traded in a phone and have in writing a document stating that I would have a $500 trade in credit allocated evenly across 24 months. Almost a year later and I have yet to see a penny of this applied to my bill. I went back to this store several weeks ago after trying unsuccessfully many times to get this taken care of via phone customer service. The employee outside was incredibly rude, flat out told me she would not help me and gave me the same general Verizon customer service number I had already called 10+ times with no resolution. I called the number again, spent nearly four hours on the phone, was transferred 10 different times only to eventually be hung up on with no resolution. I then left a negative review on the verizon website and was told they would escalate my case to have my issues resolved. I was told to email them a summary of the issue. Never received a response despite the extensive documentation I sent them proving the money they owe me. In addition, they took it upon themselves to remove my review from their website and act like nothing happened. I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism and I am utterly disgusted with this company. read more

I bought a new iPhone 8 (along with several accessories that were not cheap) at this location last week. The sales staff was very nice and I didn't have to wait an extremely long time. However. The salesperson brought out a Jetpack, which I was unfamiliar with, and made it seem like it was included with my existing data plan. I'm aware I should have questioned him more about the details, but I was just nodding along at that point. After I got home and researched it I decided I didn't want it, as I wouldn't use it, plus it added a $10 monthly charge as an extra device. This was never explained to me, nor was the fact that I had agreed to a 2 year contract for the device. Luckily Verizon customer service cancelled the device and waived the $175 early termination fee, probably because I contacted them so quickly and I'm a long time customer. So just be aware when you visit this location that they will try to slip things past you to jack up your bill. Be informed and question everything. As for me, I'm still a Verizon customer but I won't go back to this store. read more

Buying a cell phone has become a more painful experience with each passing day. If it's not the obscene fees the carriers are pulling out of their rectums, it's the aggressive and sometimes deceitful service you get at the retail stores. This particular store was a little bi-polar. When I purchased a new phone in December of last year it was a pleasant and low pressure interaction. I asked the rep a couple of questions (to confirm what I had already researched) which he answered correctly along with adding some info I was not aware of. Overall, it was one of the best retail experiences I've had in a long time. Fast forward to April 8th and it was as if I had entered an entirely different store. From the first greeting you could sense the desperation in the air of "I need to sell you something NOW." I asked the rep a couple of questions about the phone I was interested in (which had also already been researched) and instead of getting the correct answer or even an "I'm not sure, let me check," I got pure BS. It was a lame attempt to cover his ignorance while trying to pass himself off as a cell phone expert. There's nothing that pisses me off more than being lied to. If you hadn't already guessed it, I did not purchase another phone from this store. The quality in purchasing experiences shouldn't vary this wildly between reps and they sure as hell shouldn't be lying to the customer either. This was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I'm buying my next phone online and only using this store as a demo unit showroom. read more

I've been a fan of Verizon since switching from Sprint back in 06 and became a bigger fan since getting my Droid X. The other day I bought a 16 GB SD card for my Droid and installed it. I started to experience problems with my phone and decided to stop by my local Verizon store for some help. The Verizon rep led me to believe that the SD card that I purchased from Best Buy was not compatible with my Droid and proceeded to tell me that Verizon only guaranties Verizon products to work in their phones. She then tried to sell me a 16 gb card for $69(my card was $35). I tried to explain to her that SD tech is standardized and a PNY 16 GB Micro SD card is the same thing as the Verizon SanDisk 16 GB Micro SD card that she is trying to sell me. She looked at my card with a look of disapproval and said "I've never heard of that brand". She did offer to look for a discount but I declined after sensing a little attitude. I left the store disappointed with my issue unresolved. After some homework on the internet I found out that I needed to do is reformat my new SD card to get it to work correctly. I know she is a sales person but I didn't go in there to buy something I went in there for the" World-class service and support" that Verizon advertises. Thank you Verizon. read more

Oh, happy day! For those of you who read my scathing review of the Sprint Store in Southpark, I made good on my promise today and bought a new iPhone from this Verizon Wireless store. Learning from the hideous experience at Sprint, I made an appointment at the Verizon store for 5pm to discuss the different phone and plan options (I was debating between a Droid and the iPhone 4). That said, I don't think it would have been a problem to just walk in as the employees were all very helpful and making sure they were attending to customers as quickly as possible (maybe someone from the Sprint store, ahem Management, should stop by here to see how it's done). I worked with a woman named Bethany, who went above and beyond to answer all of my questions, discuss the pros and cons of both the Droid and the iPhone, and then helped me set up my phone, transfer contacts, and set up my online account. She also explained how I could go online to get my employee discount. In the end, I'm very happy that I switched to Verizon and am having a great time learning all the cool things the iPhone does. And Bethany gave me her card and said to call anytime if I had questions or needed help. Gold star to Verizon for customer service. Thank you so very much! read more

Sorry I cant give 0 stars. Scheduled an appointment 5 days out. I arrive at my appointment time and they tell me I need a mask to enter the store which is fine if i was notified before I took time from work and drove 25 minutes to the store. I get text alerts every time a Verizon bill is due but you can't include that a mask is required to enter the stores? The manager told me i needed to use something, offered up solutions but it had to be appropriately fastened to my face. I was eligible for an upgrade and just wanted a new phone, I knew the exact phone i wanted. I can give you my card and phone do your thing but no thats not okay because im not physically inside the store. I was told i would need to go home to my laptop, order online, and come back to pick it up. I'm tired of paying premium prices for lackluster support, service, etc. This location wont get my money. read more

Just bought the new iPhone 7 at this store and was lied to by Ian. Ian is one of the store reps and told us the iPhone 7 could not use a a wired headphone without a finicky adapter. Ian convinced us to use our $140 credit from upgrading from iPhone 6 to iPhone 7 toward a $200 set of Bluetooth Beats earbuds. In reality, the iPhone 7 comes free with a set of headphones that plugs directly into the charging port and works just fine. Could have used that $140 credit towards my bill instead. Ian scammed us to buy additional accessories from their store and spend a lot more money that we needed. I don't respect shady sales people and I won't be returning to this store. Don't recommend it either unless you want to battle a Verizon sales force. We have a baby due in August and could have used that money elsewhere. read more

My wife went in to get a new phone & change providers. She was sold a minimal plan which didn't give her enough minutes. The female CSR, when asked specifically by my wife if she was signing up for a long-term contract, assured her it was a monthly contract and she could stop the service plan at any time she wished, without incurring any kind of penalty. After getting a $40+ overage bill, she complained and was told she could go to another plan but it would be much more expensive. Shortly after this, she called to complain about the misrepresentations she had encountered to be told the CSR was no longer employed by Verizon. After getting another overage bill, I suggested changing providers and asked if there was a contract involved and was told of the initial conversation with the Verizon sales person. I switched her phone to a flat rate, no contract provider. Verizon just sent her a bill for an early "contract" cancellation. We suspect the fired employee is no longer there because of her lies to customers. read more

Had a mechanical fault in my iPhone, the sleep button wasn't working, and the rep at the store told me that I was imagining the defect and that there was nothing wrong with my phone. After ten minutes of showing how my phone was not working properly, the employee finally admitted that there was something wrong, but they wouldn't cover a replacement phone and I would have to go to the Apple store even though I had an extensive warranty for the device. Went down the road to the Park St. location and they replaced my phone with no arguments. read more

PLEASE READ ---- very bad experience at this store. They are not a real Verizon store so cannot give u good trade in prices, went to upgrade my iphone4s and trade in value was far below REAL Verizon store not far down the road by half. MADE HUGE MISTAKE walking into this store. When said no thank u to trade in price they did come within 30 bucks of prior quote at Verizon store locally. So decided for 30 bucks would be worth to just go ahead and get the phone. Another mistake...I said guess this charger does not work for iphone 5 he says nope so I gave him mine --- my hubby actually traded in his for iphone 5 at the REAL Verizon store (this one is just retailer for them). His trade in went smooth, they gave him the adapter for the car charger, put his upgrade on our bill which this store said they were unable to do that either that Verizon doesn't do that really ??? Needless to say I called back the next day and stated that I want my car charger back, he says ok I will have it there next day. He never returned it drove all the way to the store to find he never returned it. Had the store call his cellphone and DAVID says he got hung for TWO DAYS and said that I could come pick it up.... REALLY ??? No I said give me a charger and u can have mine he says no we don't have one in the store we can do that with...I have the managers name which I will be calling and also writing a letter to Verizon corp they really need to know what these stores are doing. The men that work in this store have sold me several features and items that were not disclosed to me. The last time I was in to purchase an I-Pad to replace my stolen one they told me my insurance would not work and that I needed to buy a New I-pad and then cancel the contract on my stolen one. When I called to do so I was told that I should have "upgraded" and since it was past 14 days I was out of luck. Verizon is dishonest and the people who work their are deceitful and trick you into sales you do not want even when you are very, very clear what you want. Watch out here. Buyer beware. My wife and I turned in our iPhone 4s to upgrade to 5s and our sales person sold us a plan that has increased our monthly payment by more then $30. As he was verbally calculating the monthly fees, I said, "Your confusing me with all of these calculations. We don't want to change our monthly fees and that's all I need to know." He confirmed our monthly fee would not change. Three times while he was setting us up, I asked how much is this going to cost and he didn't present an actual figure. He continued to reaffirm that our monthly fees would not change except for the few dollar increase. He actually gave us his cell phone number so we trusted him. Great sales tactic when you are being dishonest. Then, we signed the agreement on the iPad where I saw no mention of monthly fees. I may have missed that? I then said, "How much is this going to cost today" and he said, "Nothing." We left with our new iPhones. However, he sold us a plan that has increased our monthly fees and my wife has spent 5 hours on the phone with Verizon who continues to blame us for signing the agreement. Meanwhile, the Verizon stores has our perfect condition iPhone 4s and any commission they made off our transaction. Truthfully, I wish I had asked for a printed agreement and a forecast of our monthly fees in writing. My bad. I would recommend to all that you get something in writing (much like you would when you purchase a vehicle). However, I cannot believe the ethics going on in this store that a sales person is lying to customers. Horrible sales tactics. Unethical practices. Make sure you get everything in writing. Don't fall for the "Hey, just sign the iPad with super small writing and no obvious mention of your new plan's fees!" read more

I had a very bad experience at this store. I was initially helped by an associate named Tanner who told me that the iPhone 4 would be upgraded with SIRI come the new year, which was and is not the case. Furthermore, he told me that the new family plan that I received was only going to cost $10 more when in actuality it ended up costing $30 more. When I answered a survey in a negative manner, the store manager gave me a call and ensured that he would follow up with me when my first bill came out. However, in true fashion, I never received any call or follow up from him. Overall, I am very disheartened by, not only the lack of service but also the blatant lies to make a sale. When will businesses learn that the value of a customer is not based on a single sale but rather their long term buying potential. I am planning on switching over to a new carrier when this contract expires. I would recommend that folks avoid this particular Verizon store altogether. read more

Let me tell you guys about what Verizon did to me. Before i ordered my iPhone X i confirmed with 2 different 611 agents(Verizon's customer service) what my bill was going to be. After not 1 but 2 agents promised me my bill would go up 10 extra dollars i went ahead and placed my order with Andrew Placide. One month later my bill arrives and everything i was told goes out the door. My bill now will be $40 over what my old bill was. I called and complained 1 horrible rep after another and finally one rep decides to take charge. What Verizon tried to do is keep my $350 dollars of credits that i have and charged me and extra 1000 for the new phone. So instead of honoring what 2 agents have promised me they are now returning me my old phone that i sent back to them and want the iPhone X back. That right there shows you how bad Verizon treats there customers. I have spent upwards of $3000 to Verizon and just like that they disregarded everything. So now I'm up to find a new cellphone provider. If you have any recommendations please please forward them here!!! read more
