Not only am I satisfied with my internet, this is really a post about my cell phone service that I only received because a rep came out when I was getting my internet installed in my new home (spring 2019) For reference, I NEVER would upgrade my iPhones because they are expensive. So I had an iPhone 6 until 2019 when I moved, and they came to my home and offered me an iPhone XR for free if I would switch to them. Just wanted to let y'all know about how happy I've been with AT&T, and honestly it's been the best experience for me with iPhones. This year, I'm eligible to upgrade to an iPhone 13 pro, once again, for free. I highly recommend them and I'm just sharing this information in case anyone else loves iPhones but also isn't in the business of paying for them. Love and light to y'all! read more

AT&T Fiber in Charlotte NC, particularly in the Harrisburg area is a garbage company. After 4 outages in 1 month I'm tired of telling their pitiful calling center that I know it's not their fault. Screw em. They can hear it all. I hope they hear it so much they revolt. This useless company, and its useless service deserve to pay out millions for the amount of time and money they cost their users. And lest you think I'm bitching because I can't watch Netflix you're wrong. And if you think I'm someone that just doesn't want to go back to the office, you are wrong. I work for a MASSIVE corporation. It is in media. There are shifts that I have no choice but to work remotely. T-Mobile has saved me 3 times this summer by allowing me to struggle through shifts by using my phone as a hot spot. I'm posting this through a T-Mobile hotspot now. ATT has been out since 1:30 this afternoon. It's now 11:10pm. ATT is trash. Their customer service is trash. And their pathetic offering of a couple of bucks off the bill is a joke. It's criminal. They like to behave as though they cost us a minor inconvenience. But grow up! This is 2026! Many (and I would argue most) of us depend on our WiFi to work our businesses and run our lives. They didn't cost me $5 bucks because I couldn't be entertained. They have cost me HUNDREDS of dollars an hour by not being able to perform my work. They deserve to have their lunch eaten by any other player in this field. It is a pathetic and dying company that cannot keep up in the modern era. The moment I have an alternative to their GARBAGE service I will be done. Google cannot get to my development soon enough. If you're from here and have them, you know the pain. If you defend them then you either work for em or have some allegiance to them because of a family member. I can only hope one day that there is a class action lawsuit. Not so those effected can become rich like the fat dirtbags at the top of this trash heap of a company. But just so we can all be compensated for the actual amount of money we actually lost, and a little extra for the pain we've endured. We don't want a coupon, we don't want one of your useless trash products that require your garbage service to potentially work. A tree hit the Duke Energy poles Saturday night. Sunday morning they had it fixed. Our internet went out along with all other providers. We called AT&T and explained the situation and they made us turn our box on and off even though the line was laying on the ground 3 houses down in the middle of the street. All other providers went out that morning when they were called. We still have no internet and have to wait for a technician to come to our house like we're are so dumb and don't know how to unplug the box and plug it back in. read more

The internet is slow and never works. It barely reaches my room which is maybe 20 feet away.

AT&T installed broadband on 3-26-25, leaving cable out on ground. On 3-27-25 the cable was hit with lawn mower and cut. They were contacted and came out to "fix it" on 3-28-2025. They wrapped wires around it the cut cable, and taped it together with black tape and left. In 3-29-25 it stopped working. They come out again on 4-1-25 to bury cable, replaced the cable and buried it, knocking my invisible fence offline. And here we are again on 4-2-2025 with NO INTERNET. I'm working from home as I do, and every time AT&T comes out and simply open the door to the mini hut I lose service, today was no different. A technician was out placing buried service wire fir a neighbor and AGAIN takes me out of service. I went outside to let him know he took me out of service, oh boy said although I took you out of service by accident, I am unable to put you back into service without you calling the repair department to put in a repair ticket . Customer Service is horrible! i was on hold for TWO HOURS, and I spoke to three different representatives, and I still have no answers. I was transferred to two different people before finally being disconnected! Three hours later, I still have not gotten an account started with them. The shame of it all is that I was trying to START SERVICE WITH THEM! I can only imagine what would happen if I actually became their customer! AT&T disconnected my service because someone told them I was moving. Within 15 minutes after I was informed my service was being cancelled it was disconnected. I was on the phone with them trying to convince them I wasn't moving! I had fiber optic internet and was genuinely pleased with the service. Now after a month of trying to make them understand I haven't moved they're telling me I can't have fiber optic because it's not available in my area. I've had 2 technicians come out and verify I have fiber optic but they still refuse to give me back the same service I have had for 2 years prior. I am so frustrated. read more

Fiber line went down and it took them 4 days to fix it. At that time, AT&T fiber ran a temporary line with assurances that it would be buried in 14 days. Thirty-five days later, AT&T fiber buried my line; however I already switched back to Spectrum and they cut the Spectrum line! So, now it's 55 days, there is still a temporary line that runs across a sidewalk and is a trip hazard and I'm threatened by AT&T that since I am cancelling my service, they won't bury the line. So, I had to cancel the service and disconnect the line myself. Buyer beware! read more

I tried to get the ATT internet service. I had an installation date but the day before they had to cancel and said they'd call later that day but no call ever came. Three days later I called and asked what was happening and why no callback. A new installation date was scheduled for 12-2. A 2:00 no one showed up and there was no call back. I called again and was told to call back in two hours which I did. They wanted to reschedule two days in advance but I wanted to know why no one came by or called. I was told that there was a technical issue and they could not say when there would be an installation. They could not explain why they offered an installation date two days from now if there was a technical issue issue. If this terrible customer service is what I experience while they're trying to get me as a customer, imagine what it'd be life once I was a customer. I cancelled my order. Terrible customer service. Connected the Internet last Friday, and it only worked for a few days. Call the technician about the problem. It's 9 in the evening, he responds fast with 'my shift starts tomorrow morning I'll get there as soon as possible'. I guess it wasn't possible because at the end of the next day the Internet is still not working. I call the tech support and they schedule a visit (the soonest is in two days). They give you a two hour window. The day comes and nobody comes during that time. No phone call, no nothing! I call the tech support. What is going on? Finally an hour later the technician arrived and the source of the problem was somebody just unplugged us from the station. That's it? No hardware failure, no fiber optics flimsy. Somebody decided to just stupidly unplug us from the network! Well, the Internet is working for now, but it doesn't look like a good start. I might update this as it goes. read more

This entire company is an absolute joke. I have spent roughly 2-3 hours on the phone with multiple customer service employees. Out of 7 people only 1 seemed to actually know what they were doing. I had to explain what an Ethernet jack was to the first 4 and kept getting told "I believe you mean an extender". I wanted a physical Ethernet port installed in my wall and I was just curious if AT&T provided those services. I was transferred 4 different times until someone knew what an Ethernet jack was just to be told they don't do it. Then I was told that 75 mbps is the fastest speed allowed which I am paying more for than my previous 500mbps!!! Then the internet equipment finally came and I was anxious to see just how bad this internet would be and the "broadband" connection will not work so a technician has to come out. The soonest date they have available is more than 2 days away and they don't have any weekends open for a month. So I have to take a vacation day for their problem which I cannot get back. Also while asking to be transferred to set up the appointment the CS rep tried to sell me on security and phone packages while my internet doesn't work. I said no please fix my internet and yet I was still transferred to a security rep because I "prequalified". Might be the worst customer service I've ever experienced and they are lucky that they are the only internet provider that is available for my house or I would switch so fast. Worst first time customer experience in my life. Would not recommend even to the in laws. read more

I wish I could give a lower rating. Customer service is full of it! Run around after run around and the same script over again. All in all the product is fine. Except when an issue arises and they do not take care of issues they leave you hanging for days upon days upon days upon days to repair or fix service issues and that just sad. With so many internet providers you wold think customer service would be a little better so they can keep their customers due to competition. Internet in my house is weak, the previous resident had the wall box installed in a guest bedroom and AT&T wants to charge me hundreds of dollars to relocate it into the office room of the house, or it will cost me hundreds of dollars on a decent wi-fi extender device. I called just now with a billing question and after navigating the automated menu says if I want to talk to a person there will be a $5 convenience fee so I hung up. This is reprehensible. Also, they, with heavy accents, want to talk about sales/promotional offers before they help you with the issue you were calling about in the first place, at the beginning and end of the call reading directly from a script like a telemarketer. If you are granted ACP approval, enjoy being bounced back and forth between both ATT numbers, in my case for 2.5 months before a person at 866 986 0963 finally activated my ACP status into ATT's even though a month ago I was told it was already set up. I wish there was not a duopoly between these guys and equally terrible Spectrum/Time Warner. read more

Making False claims of technicians being dispatched and "delayed technicians", guaranteed appointments that suddenly are "not shown in their system". Really?? ATT needs to get it together. I got AT&T insalled into my house when I moved in and the gentlemen that installed it was super nice and suggested we switch our cell service to AT&T for greater savings, so we went ahead with it. The sales rep, Britney, was at first super nice and incredibly responsive... that was before she hooked us in. She made all these promises that were complete B.S. and completely left us to dry. They said I would get a $250 gift card to help with my verizon bill... still waiting on that and when I follow up with Britney... crickets. Unfortunately, my family has had AT&T for years, and it has done NOTHING but disappoint. It always seems like the LTE services, WiFi, and cable stop working at the most IMPORTANT times (school work, needing google, even big sports games). Whenever a technician is sent out, the problem is fixed for 2-3 days and then it just returns to the way it was before. EVERY TIME. My small house in northern Mississippi with a regional WiFi company has OVER 5x FASTER UPLOAD AND DOWNLOAD SPEED. In Charlotte, it's hard to even watch a movie on Netflix without the useless WiFi resulting in near constant freezes and poor picture quality. I still feel bad giving a 1 star review simply because almost every technician we've come across was friendly and kind. The problems aren't their fault, however, they are the fault of their shady, repetitively useless employer. read more

Why is zero stars not an option? 1) July 10 somebody dug through the fiber cable to my house. It was "fixed" the next day with the fiber cable going across the street, lying exposed on my neighbors property, and then diagonally over my lawn. Technician didn't tell me that a separate dig team would come and bury the line. I call AT&T to ask. Customer service schedules a technician with job description "Customer asks why fiber cable lies exposed". That technician arrives a few days later saying, "there is a dig order in so you will be charged $99". I am charged $99. It takes me hours on phone to get rid of that charge. 2) July 17 my internet is out again. Reason is that the cable that is going across the street breaks. This time I have to wait until July 21 for a (temporary) fix. 3) July 24. Next outage. Again the reason is that the fiber cable is too fragile to cross a street with significant traffic. Fixed next day. 4) July 28. Again, the fiber cable is broken by a car. 5) August 4 my fiber is eventually buried. The job is done with true incompetence as the fiber cable is exposed at several places. 6) August 27: After having internet service for almost a month without an outage my cable is dug through again. This time it was contractors working for AT&T that broke my line while burying a line for another customer in the neighborhood. Technician fixes it next day using a splice. In late September we get a permanent fix with a new line that appears to be buried a bit better (at least it is not sticking out at places). 7) October 12: A team of AT&T contractors trying to locate fiber cables manages to kill my internet connection again. They vehemently denied having anything to do with it despite having removed the cover of the AT&T box and stepping around exposed cables and splice boxes. In addition to all the pain caused directly by the outages, customers have no way to complain in a way that is communicated with any sort of leadership/executive level. The root cause of all my outages is that the fiber cables are a haphazard tangle buried less than an inch below ground. Technicians coming out just shake their heads and tell me that they have taken photos of the work provided by contractors and showed their supervisors without anything happening. When calling, the representative in Ukraine, Phillipines or India is always trying to be helpful, but they have no powers to do much more than to say they are sorry for the inconvenience. Supervisors also have been unable to do much. I've asked for email addresses to complain in a way that would reached some higher ups. I did receive some customer service email addresses. My emails did not contain any cursing whatsoever, but nobody has responded. Finally, one would think that AT&T wold compensate the customer with providing some significant brakes on the billing. That aint happening with AT&T. Even the credit for days with no internet service that was promised when I escalated never showed up on my account. I signed up for Internet from Spectrum today. I have contacted them tirelessly to ask that they tidy up the yard so there are no trip hazards and my tickets continue to be closed without rectifying the situation (in addition to being treated rudely by the technicians and agents). You have to make separate calls to cancel IPad and land line which no one ever told me. Now I have to pay for them thru the next billing cycle. We switched from another provider to AT&T Uverse about two months ago. Came back after a week away and discovered that our speeds (contracted speed is 300 mps) had slowed to levels where we cannot stream programs from Netflix. Had a service call scheduled for today between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. No one showed to do the required work. No one called to let us know of any problem related to the service call. Is this company still functioning or have they effectively headed into the sunset? With service like this, they will soon be out of business. If you call them for help/ problems with internet or the television constantly freezing while watching your shows, they want you to do all their troubleshooting work! When we moved to Charlotte and selected AT&T as our provider we were assured our station line-up would include the local NBC network station---WCBC. AT&T no longer values this network and has dropped NBC from it's station line-up. We are very disappointed in this breach of contract and will be searching for a new provider. read more

AT&T home internet is terrible. AT&T will increase your price after one year of their 50.00 special pricing but their service is awful. I do not understand why my hard earned money and time isn't important enough for a person within the US to help me with my constantly buffering internet. I had tried I didn't like TWC for the bad customer service and high price together with the trepassess to my property while I was not home in Charlotte. With U-verse, it was fine for the first year, later the price went up till I saw its close to a hundred a month. While I only went home a few days a month then I was moving out of states. I called to cancel service. I was told to wait & the call dropped. I was way too busy & I did call again to cancel service. I was told to wait for transfer but dropped again. I gave up since I had notified them twice I needed to cancel service. I also canceled my auto pay to stop being robbed. Later, they sent me a big bill. That's my experience with U-Verse. read more

I paid 60 bucks /month for their internet service and signed up to have them draft my credit card through the automated process.Turns out they chsrged an extra 35 dollars (to reinstall services)for several months because the automated process wasn't set up right which is not my fault.I made several calls and the person on the other side of the phone usually acted confused or another one would be condescending.Supposedly it takes a month in a half for the draft too set up but this went on for months!I finally talked to a supervisor but she would only reimburse me for 1 month!I give them no stars and I have had issues with them in the past with the landline I use to have. read more

I've used att for my business and home for twenty years.  I also have uverse and att internet in my home and business.  If ATT cancels OAN I am canceling my service and asking my 14,000+ linked in followers, fellow YPOers (50,000 plus business owners globally, my veteran network of 2 million plus, and others to dump ATT.  I realize ATT owes more than 200 Million and is still operating due to foreign loans but this is outright bullshit when ATT steps into politics and tramples the first amendment.  So go ahead and cancel OAN and I'll do my best to see that ATT is canceled. read more

Ty Christopher and crew. I am bumping this rating two stars for your dedication. Arrived this Sunday at 4:25 pm and spent almost four hours getting my neighbor lady's phone to work. She thanks you also. .......... Immoral, my next door neighbor, 85 years old, reduced service three days ago only to have ATT stop all service accidentally. Three missed appointments two of which I witnessed. Her husband passed away this morning @ 12:30 am and his relatives from Germany are unable to contact her with thear support and condolences. As of right now they are late for the 8:30-12:00 o'clock appointment I scheduled on her behalf. I am also a customer of ATT, I am debating whether or not to go back to TW if this service issue is not handled efficiently, now. They have wasted 12 hours of my time waiting on them with no valid excuse. ................ What I must say of UVerse is that their internet is ten times more reliable than TW's Roadrunner. On the negative is how many channels are not HD. Chiller being most prominent, since I like their quirky programing. But, CLOO, FLIX, most music video channels and INDIE channel are still in non-HD after all this time. Crap, I only watch a few channels and yet they remain standard. ATT can afford to advertise PPV in a multitude of channels for a single event. Some fights are advertised on three standard plus three HD channels, WTF. There are even HD and applications channels being used as infomercials. I spend my Friday evening hiding up to six channels when I notice the crap they introduce. I spend over $230 a month for UV450 and can't find crap on TV most of the time. Yet, ATT is better than TW any day of the week. read more

They wait two months to send you the first bill so you dont notice then use the excuse, "your buyers remorse claus is up".
