An awful experience could have been related to my race, which is sad. I made an online appointment. I got there 10 minutes early. I waited quietly for 45 minutes, watching the 5 employees joke and laugh as walk-ins went ahead of me. Neither the walk-ins nor the employees were the same race as me. I went on a Monday around lunch to upgrade my phone. It was oddly busy and staff even said it was odd for a Monday as well. I had to wait about 45 mins since there were 2 people ahead of me. They were staffed well with 3 people, & Ebony helped me out this day. Parking is right beside the building in a small parking lot. No issues at all. They did have some boomer couple come in and yell at the other employee, something regarding their phone bill lol read more

Had a very unpleasant experience with Damon (please forgive me if I got the name incorrect) I came here on Wednesday to purchase a new iPhone 13 but was unsuccessful. Everything started off good but I should've known something was wrong when Damon tried to start the account under the wrong person. Unfortunately he ended up doing a couple things wrong and I was unable to purchase the iPhone at this location, he quickly caught an attitude when I asked him questions and said regardless I just have to wait to get the phone and for me to call a number in the morning. I knew this was wrong so I went to a different location and I was able to purchase a new iPhone 13 in less than 20 minutes. I wish the sales associate was more knowledgeable of what he was doing to save me the time and troubles of going to a different location. read more

This place is a joke. I call about getting replacement phone and asking about process to get new phone with insurance. They tell me to come in to swap exact phone and most to pay would be taxes. Go in with appointment, wait 30 minutes for them to tell me that's not the process and laugh as I ask if there is anything they can help me with, as this is my first time. I don't like going to Verizon stores and with the pandemic; going out right now is uneasy for a lot of us. This store was the best experience I've ever had with a Verizon store. If you are honest and upfront about your issue, whether its with your plan or a device - they do their absolute best to help you. If you live in the Charlotte area, do not waste your time at any other store - this is the one you want to go to with any issues you may have. I would recommend going early in the morning when no one is there- as it is a physically small store but other than that - I recommend this Verizon store if you are a customer or looking to make a Verizon purchase. read more

I've been into this store twice for assistance. Both times the employees are young individuals that do not greet customers, introduce themselves, and default to the answer of "you'll have to do that online". This is on top of the dismissive demeanor that the "helping" employee uses to address your problem. We wanted to transfer a phone over to my brother but he wasn't able to since he was not the account manager. Verizon employee Kenny walked to the back abruptly -- no friendly conversation, no explanation. My brother waited there for me (the account manager) to show up. Now why would Kenny require a personal appearance from an account manager? Why couldn't he do this over the phone? I know for a fact that I could've verified my ID over a 5 minute phone call. Once I arrived, Kenny had to be called out of the back room by another employee. He made no eye contact. I was clearly on the phone and he proceeds to ask me for my ID. He could've waited a minute. I ask that my brother be made an account manager to which he answers in a condescending tone "You're not the account owner". I didn't realize account owner and managers were different, and responded "yes I am". He scoffs and chuckled and said "No you are not. They are not the same". With a little more care to his job, he could've empathized with my misunderstanding and offered a response in kindness. Whomever manages this store, I recommend a re-training on customer service looks like. read more

I visited this store on Friday night. It was rainy and cold and I was thinking it was going to be a dreadful experience based on past purchases at other cellular stores. But my iPhone was no longer working due to a known Apple iPhone 7 issue with the cellular modem so there was no choice but to suck it up and go or wait until Saturday morning when they could be even busier. I was pleasantly surprised with being greeted right away and how quickly Eboni had me set up and on my way home. I was in and out within 15 minutes! Eboni was friendly, and super knowledgeable. I highly recommend this VZW location and will be returning to this store for any needs in the future. read more

I thought Verizon was supposed to have good coverage. Something has changed in the Lake Wylie area now as all local Verizon customers in our neighborhood are suddenly experiencing problems. Instead of trying to get you to buy the most expensive items or add extra stuff, they worked with me within my budget and were very informative. Last time I was there, I worked with Nick who exceeded my expectations as I usually dread walking into Verizon stores.
