I would have loved to have fixed this machine on my own, but a touch of arthritis had reduced my ability to perform fine motor skills required. I'd cracked the screen of my best machine, an MSI GS-65 several months earlier; it had become all but unusable without an external monitor to display what I could no longer see on my shattered screen. First, though, I asked Arthur about repairing a shattered screen on a smartphone (an otherwise excellent Nokia) I brought in with me. He confirmed something I already knew -- that the phone wasn't worth the cost of repair. This led me to believe he knew the costs involved and how those factored into a good decision about fixing OR NOT FIXING the phone. It also made me feel like I could trust him. (All before we started discussing the much bigger concern I had -- my MSI Stealth Gaming Laptop.) -------------------------------------------------------- Now I must interject a little advice to consumers. After coming in and explaining the problem that I was experiencing, Bobby NeSmith, the store manager, spoke with me on what they can do to diagnose and solve the problem. Most of their solutions involved leaving my computer and pen with them overnight while they diagnosed and worked on fixing any issues, however because I use my computer on a daily basis for school, I could not be without it for too long. Thankfully after explaining this to Bobby, he did everything he could to diagnose and fix the problem as fast as he could. It took about 2 hours and upon returning, Bobby explained the problem they found, fixed the issue, and verified that the problem was fixed with me before I left the store.
