Terrible experience I wanted to share a warning about Batteries Plus in Pineville regarding their return policy and terrible customer service. We recently needed a new battery and a tune-up for our generator. The sales clerk at Batteries Plus recommended a specific battery, which we purchased. We took the generator and the battery to a repair shop on Johnson Road. It took the shop 15 days to look at it, at which point they informed us that the battery recommended by the Batteries Plus sale clerk did not fit our generator. When we attempted to return the unopened battery to Batteries Plus, they refused to issue a refund or accept an exchange. The manager also reviewed the situation and upheld the refusal. They cited two reasons: 1. We were one day past their 14-day return window. 2. They claimed they could not accept a return on a dead battery (though they offered a warranty exchange for another one). (NOTE: The battery had lost its charge while sitting on the shelf) To make matters worse, the correct battery we actually need is half the price of the one the clerk originally sold us. Please be sure to double-check any battery before making a purchase from them, as their return policy is very strict and they did not accommodate a mistake made by their own staff and selling us a bad battery. Went here because my cell phone charging port had a piece of a charger stuck in it... the employee who assisted me was super friendly! He had my phone fixed in less than 2 minutes! So much cheaper and convenient than a new phone! Will go back for any/all battery and bulbs needs! read more

So today I had a pleasant surprise. I made an appointment to have the charging port on my iphone fixed and was prepared to pay a hefty price, even with my $10 coupon. Alas, Jillian to the rescue! She could easily have just taken the phone, said goodbye and called when she had fixed it; but she didn't. Instead she looked carefully into the port and discovered she could easily fix the problem, so she did. If you want to deal with an honest broker, someone who follows the 'golden rule' , this business employs people like Jillian. Her boss should be proud. She didn't make money today, but she won a lifetime customer, hopefully, more than one! read more

5 Stars for a battery place?! Yep, and I know it's a chain, but this Batteries Plus location impressed me with my recent car issue. A few weeks ago, my car battery was dead, and needed a cheap option, as I was not about to take my foreign car to the dealership for an overpriced battery install. Being that I never changed a battery myself, I decided to take the risk to my wife's worry! Ha! After all, how difficult can it be. I called ahead and the service person was very helpful and asked all the right questions for this rookie mechanic. Stopped by and picked it up and the battery was $85, plus a $7 battery charge for not turning in my battery. I get the $7 credited back to me when I return my old battery. The service person even wrote down instructions for me! Got home and miraculously changed the battery with ease! Very thankful for this Batteries Plus location making the process simple. read more

Today May 9th 2023 I bought a 12-pack of 9volts batteries with an expected 5 year battery life as indicated on the package. BatteryPlus Pineville NC store sold me this package with 3 years of battery life left on them. Big time deceiving to say the least. read more

I had a very good experience at this Batteries Plus location. I needed a new battery for an old cell phone. Other locations didn't have a replacement but the Pineville store did. I was able to make an immediate appointment on line and because of that I got a discount on the repair!! I was lucky. The person who helped me was Stacy. She knows cell phones inside and out. She told me stuff about phones I didn't know. I immediately felt like these people really knew what they're doing. That was reassuring. The battery change-out took no time at all. Thank you Stacy. I went there a few weeks back to get my iPhone screen replaced. It was the first time I've had to do so and after researching online a little they seemed to have a comparable price and same day fix advertised. I made a reservation online. When I got there I was told they may not be able to get it done by closing time due to the amount they had to finish that day. Now this is odd because they didn't close for about 5 hours and I had made a reservation. I asked about this and the girl told me well she'd try her best but there have been a lot of walk ins that day. I thought this was pretty bad service as a reservation should supersede all the walk ins that occurred. I wouldn't have waited until my reservation if I had known this was how they operated. They did complete the repair by closing time. However, the screen was not installed correctly and thus it stuck out on one corner. Also, when she somehow made it so the sensor doesn't recognize when your face is next to it. This is supposed to blank the screen while on a phone call to prevent you from accidentally pushing a button/hanging up/etc. She told me I'd just have to hit the power button if I wanted to talk on the phone. Well that apparently ends the call. Thanks for the advice, I successfully hung up on my boss!! Also, the screen has now developed a slight crack across it from where it wasn't installed correctly. I will never return to this store for any of my battery/phone/or bulb needs. Too many other options to have poor customer service/quality. Good luck staying in business with that service. read more

I purchased a Premium Duracell Ultra battery for a wave runner last summer. Had it on a battery tender all winter and when I went to test for this year it was not holding a charge. I took it back to the store and they said they would have to charge it and call me back. So I purchased a new battery thinking that if its bad the worse case scenario would be a partial credit. NO call from the store so I called them and was told that because it was below 7 volts it voided the warranty. Really! So the battery can go bad just not really bad for it to be covered. Called Duracell and they rediredicted me as these batteries are handled by a "partner" East Penn that I believe also owns the Battery plus stores. I called East Penn and they said someone would look into it and call me back. A month later after no return call, I called them and they said that they spoke with the store and nothing else could be done. My experience with Batteries Plus Pineville was great when I was buying 2 Deep Cycles for my RV and boat trolling motor. When we fish all day we do run the batteries down and then recharge then. When the batteries failed after 10 months, Batteries Plus manager said they were not maintained. That was why I purchased the Deep Cycles in order the recharge them. Well, Batteries Plus would not warranty them. Consumers beware when it comes time for a warranty they will not be on your side. I have purchased 2 new Interstate Brand batteries and all is good. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! I went to have some watch batteries replaced which I've done there once and other locations several times before. When they said they don,t warranty the watch if they break it, if they're valued over $100, I told them I thought that was an odd policy. I said I didn't really like the policy but I'll accept it and get them replaced anyway. They then flat out REFUSED to replace the batteries. I asked them, even though I accept the policy you won't replace them? And the clerk said no I won't. You,ll have t take them to a jewelry store. What's odd as they are not really expensive watches. I told them this was a very poor excuse for customer service and he shrugged his shoulders. So since batteries are the sole existence for this business I wouldn't waste your time as it's a gamble if they,ll service them. I wouldn't give my business to someone that has such poor customer service. Not only was the trip to that store a waste of my time, the funny thing was the service at the jewelry store was incredible, and it was cheaper too boot! read more

I brought my phone here to get my screen fixed.The screen and LCD were shattered. They told me they could easily fix it. When i received the phone back, they fixed the screen, but the entire phone was messed up. The screen does not calibrate well now, the phone spazzes out, screen doesn't work and the phone will type when i'm not typing, etc. I brought it back and they told me to just restart the phone....3853485845784 restarts later, the phone is still broken. It was not doing this even when the screen was shattered. I do not recommend going here. They gave me un-certified parts according to apple. read more
