I recently was given a used popular phone in excellent condition and additional assessories. It was a phone from another carrier. I just finished my contract with Verizon and I was free to go anywhere else. However due to the excellent customer service I received from Michael and Alex, I am staying with Verizon. They worked with me to get the best phone to fit my budget, with all the features I needed/wanted. Also without being pushy they also offered information on other services and devices. My wife and I needed to add a line and buy a phone on our account. We also decided to upgrade an existing phone. When we arrived we were immediately checked in. The wait was about half an hour, which I felt was reasonable considering the technical nature of the business. Once we were called the gentleman that helped us was very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. All told I was very pleased with my experience and purchases. I would do 0, if possible. I was told multiple times that my bill would be $10 off if I signed up for autopay then fought for 2 months to get it enacted. I had to call 6 times and was told my account wasn't eligible for this discount, given the runaround, took 1 hour to get a manager on the phone, who said they couldn't do anything since my account wasn't eligible. I told them I had screenshot proof my account was eligible and only then did the manager give me the proper reduction in bill. Shady, don't trust what they tell you. Not only that, the Carlsbad store setup my account without any of my information properly input which cause huge problems to correct. Bad service, shady practice, they tell you what you want to hear then don't provide what they promise. If you use verizon- get EVERYTHING documented, don't leave the store or let a manager off the phone without having documentation of what they promise for pricing and details, get them to guarantee in writing before you agree. If I didn't have proof they would have not honored their promise. read more

I switched to Verizon and had to buy a new phone bc they could not activate my iPhone 7 Plus with Verizon which was fine. But now, they have locked the iPhone 7 Plus as lost or stolen. I purchased it from the Apple store and I have receipts. My mom has been using this phone and now can't use it bc Verizon blocked it. I've tried clearing it all out and even called Apple for help. Apple three way with me and Verizon and the Verizon rep hung up on us and never called me back. I came to the Apple store twice and they have terrible service. I asked for the manager and they said he was busy but will be right out. 30 minutes later and nothing. In this time no one asked well let me try to help you. Nothing. Useless. The door guy made us stand outside in high 80s temperature for about 10 minutes before recommending we go to our car for air conditioning. Then would call us when they could allow us inside. Hooray for Horacio at Verizon in Carlsbad. I went in with a bad Sim card and a bad attitude. Who wants to spend their lunch fixing a phone that is not even a month old (iPhone6)? Not this gal. I was expecting a long wait and rude service based on other reviews and I experienced neither of these. I waited about 10 minutes and Horacio replaced my Sim card and we even chatted a bit. For future customers -the H is silent so his name is pronounced Oracio. In the end I decided it's not just Verizon that needs to train their employees to be nicer -we, as customers need to be nicer. Buying a new phone, getting one fixed or trying to figure out the best plan is not fun and I'm guessing most people go in with their fists up. So in an effort of peace and sympathy for a sales job that must be emotionally draining...let's collectively put or hands down and try to be nice to each other. This store should seriously be shut down!! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED....MULTIPLE TIMES!!! I have been in this Verizon store about ten times this year and I am so fed up with having to go back there! I had originally gone because I had a broken phone covered by insurance, the guy working smooth talked me into buying a new phone with a package deal...should have known they are all scam artists. He said the phone would be about 49$ a month and also included the HUM which was supposed to be FREE THE FIRST YEAR! Long story short, I am paying about 75$ each month for my phone bill and another 10 a month for this HUM I do not even use! I ended up going back to the store and showed the new manager (every time I have gone in they seem to have a new supervisor or manager, and there is never a GM on site) the contract I had originally signed with the previous employee's notes on there saying the amounts, clearly showing I was overcharged for months now. He quickly offered to cancel my HUM, which was nice so I gave it back to him. Then he also assured me that after the next month my phone bill will go back down and I will receive a credit for all the months I was overcharged. GREAT! ..or so I thought...Here I am, almost a year later, STILL paying over 70 a month for my phone bill, never received any sort of credit like I was promised, never received an email or a phone call back from the last manager I talked to (I'm sure he probably does not even work there anymore) AND I am still being charged for the HUM that I GAVE BACK TO THE VERIZON STORE!! BIGGEST SCAM ARTISTS I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS!!!! Also, If they talk you into buying one of the MOTO Z phones or any of the newer phones with the type C usb...BE AWARE they do not even sell the adapters at there store so when the one that comes with the phone stops working after 2 months, good luck finding a replacement anywhere!! I had to run all around town trying to find it and the girl at the verizon store just shrugged her shoulders and said she doesn't know where they sell them!! They totally lied about this as well and told me EVERYONE would be using this type of charger now, "it's going to be universal for all the new phones", but a year later and I have never seen one person with this same charging port!!!! After years of being gouged by these folks, I decided to change to TPO moble ($25/month for much better service!) - I could not remember my account PIN with Verizon, so I was told I had to go into their corporate store to reset my account. The store was crowded and I could not tell who was working unless they were behind a counter - and those folks were busy selling merch (understandable, I suppose). I asked for assistance and they told me to "check in with the girl" - which was a young woman, NOT wearing any sort of clothing that would identify her as a Verizon employee - just sanding there. So I approached, saying "I didn't know you worked here" - to which she responded it "Yeah, I just stand around here. What do you need???" - I told her, she said "go wait, we'll call you". And I waited. And I waited. Other folks, shopping for new phones came in and were helped. And I waited. So I finally approached another guy who seemed to work there and said "look, I have to get back to work. I have no time to wait. I just need to reset my account - that's all." He helped me but was hardly friendly about it - and then said "I shouldn't have helped you, you have to wait!". As of this afternoon I am free of these bloodsucking jerks. My mom and I visited the Carlsbad Verizon intending to return a cell phone that was purchased as a gift for my Uncle; however, after speaking to Gary (solution specialist) we ended up keeping the phone! It is an SE and I thought it was too old of a model to be of use. We just wanted a starter phone... to see if my uncle would like a smart phone. Gary could have talked us into a more expensive phone, but he was HONEST! The SE is an adequate model for a "trial" first cell phone. Gary was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were also greeted by the manager of the store, Christy, when we first arrived. She was also very friendly and as we were leaving we spoke again...she made sure all was well and thanked us for doing business at the Carlsbad store. Great service! read more

WHY IS ZERO STARS NOT AN OPTION. Okay bare with me. I went in, order the Galaxy S9+ asking and begging to make sure that i would not be charged for my phone if I sent it In, because it did have a tiny little crack at the bottom by the home button. This Asian man says "no problem, I would take it right now but because we have to order the phone you have to ship it In". Okay. I felt pretty confident. He ended up putting my entire line under another number on our plan. And it has created more issues than worth explaining but they have felt no sympathy towards us and towards what we have had to deal with and calls to customer service. Well I then get my phone back in the mail because it wasn't accepted. I go In to this piece of shi* store and they say "we would never allow that or accept that phone" and Called me a liar. I again go ahead and call customer service and they credited me 490$ because they understood I would have NEVER traded my perfectly fine phone in to pay 490$ for a upgrade. Well. I ended up taking the s9 back. I have the iPhone X there was a promotion for 50% off if you traded in a phone. And they did the math for us and told us it would happen in 1-2 billing cycles. Fu**ing liars lol we go in to ask them and they say "nope we never had a promotion like that, only of you PAID a phone off". So then of course customer service had to fix that problem also. I went to Verizon over Christmas break, being home for the holidays. I am a very busy grad student in Virginia, so you can imagine when my phone malfunctioned (a fourth of the screen went black), I was less than thrilled. I went to this store on the day after Christmas. I explained my problem to the associate, Kurt. Kurt was so friendly and helpful!! He answered all my questions and went beyond and beyond to get some of the answers to difficult questions on prices, phone advice, as well as insurance options. I returned the following week with the new phone the company had sent me to replace my broken one. Not only did the manager(?) package up my phone, but Kurt also helped us put the new screen protector on as well as the case. Across our two visits, he made it a pleasant experience! I cannot say enough good things about my experience here! Sure, it can be a busy store, so you might have to wait awhile, but the customer service is worth it!! Will return again -- hopefully Kurt and the manager(?) will be there for my next visit. Keep up with the great customer service! read more

Went there today and waited over an hour for my turn and over 2 hours total I spent $1000 and was unhappy with what I had purchased. Normally after buying new things you are excited. I was checking out with everything I wanted and they had a system error and couldn't sell me the products I wanted because their system said they didn't have them any more. After another over 20 minutes of them trying to fix the problem they offered no reasonable fix. The guy at the front said " we don't have a public restroom " I said I'm not the public I'm a customer. He said " there's to much inventory in back to let you back there. I had a bad experience at this Verizon wireless store. My phone was malfunctioning, but I had insurance on it so I was certain that I could take it in and have it fixed / replaced. Instead of offering to fix or replace my defective phone, the "customer service" rep that was helping me tried to upsell me to a different phone with a more expensive plan. Upon discovering that they were not going to help me, I decided to go to a Verizon corporate store. The corporate store exchanged my phone and I was out in 15 minutes. 0 STARS I was told (after asking multiple times to get my finalized bill, and the Rep saying it was impossible) that I was finished paying off my service, EIP, and my last bill. Then I spoke to a manager who also said I was done paying off my services. Then printed me out my final bill which they said I couldn't get from them previously. I looked at the bill with the store manager, and I asked him why there was a charge of $73 and he had told me I didn't owe it, and I was done paying off my bills with Verizon. (Which I had for four months and paid $1663 to cancel because of all my horrible experiences) Now four months later... I receive a bill for $73. I called customer service and they said that THEY THINK it might be "left over" from the bill I "almost" paid all the way off. I spoke to the customer service leader, he says "it's PROBABLY left over from my last bill". But neither can explain where it's from. Also this same store does not keep ANY promises, so if they tell you they'll credit your bill, they most certainly will not and you will go through hell to get it. This isn't even the slimiest Verizon I have been to, and this is a CORPORATE STORE!!!!!!!!! Very bad. read more

She couldn't even answer my question and when she tried she was so rude and belittling and would explain it to me as if I was retarded and didn't understand. I asked for a manager, but she just kept wanting to go in circles. Finally, after asking for the manager on three separate occasion, she went and got her and the manager explained the reason for the charges and the credits in a way that made sense. I dislike the fact that Beto lied to me about my monthly payment. I was on the loyalty plan paying $60 a month. At times I would go over my data and would pay $70. He convinced me and told me he can get me on a $74 plan including taxes. I get my bill notice and it reflects $113. I call customer service for clarification on my bill because all this time I was under the impression I would be paying $74 a month. NO! He lied. The sales associate over the phone was sweet and told me "sorry ma'am but we can't do anything at this point". He then recommends I go back to the store and ask to speak with Beto. I asked the sales associate "for what so he can deny everything". Keep in mind my coworker was my witness she was there when I upgraded. She was even thinking of crossing over with Verizon because of the prices. I strongly dislike people who lie. Just be honest with customers. read more

I've had Verizon services since they came online and visited many of their stores from San Diego California to Whitefish Montana and have had great experiences more often than not. In coastal North County San Diego I typically prefer the Verizon location of Marron Road in Carlsbad and always have good assistance there. I have 10 lines I pay for for my family and Real Estate business and yesterday I had multiple needs for several of my phones. I was promptly introduced to Chase Bentley upon arriving and gotta say-Chase has been The Best Verizon Rep I've ever had the opportunity to work with. I was in their store for 5+ hours which would have been miserable if it wasn't so productive but it was extremely productive in multiple ways and I enjoyed our conversations while getting everything I needed done. Chase knows his stuff inside and out and helped me clean up my account which will save me thousands of $ the first year alone so I'm stoked and thankful and highly recommend asking for Chase when visiting this location! That said, there are several great reps there if he's not available but Chase deserves a big shout out for his help and patience yesterday-Thanks Chase! read more

The guy who initially helped me was a useless waste of space. When a customer enters the store- a greeting is usually in order. His condescending tone drew out my 'mom-voice'- I wish I had gotten his name. My 'old school'/qwerty-keyboard phone was locked w/a security code by my daughter- she'd forgotten the code & I'd been unable to crack it. The moment I showed him the phone- he cut me off and said there was nothing they could do & my only option was to find another phone to connect the number to. Once I unleashed my 'mom-voice' he got someone else to help me. He gets this store, 1 star. --- 30 minutes later, Jennifer came out to help me- I told her my problem- she took my phone & my phone number & disappeared for 30 minutes. She was able to break into the phone & get it unlocked. Done. Fin. She gets this Verizon Wireless Store 5 stars. --- I've been a Verizon customer since 2007. I've never had any problems. I spent 2-1/2 hours in this store ordering a phone on an upgrade. The phone was stolen from FedEx, en route to the store, but the customer dis-service representatives at this Verizon location told me I would have to do the research, then let them confirm to get a replacement to the upgraded phone. After this was done, I went into the store for another hour, where I was told the Verizon corporate offices would have to verify the status of the shipped device a second time, after which they would contact me via email to coordinate a replacement device. Instead of following through, they simply processed a refund, leaving me with a couple of hundred dollars worth of accessories I cannot use. When I took off early from work and went back to the store over an hour and a half before they closed to ask about the status, I was told I would have to schedule an appointment for a week and a half to two weeks later in order to even speak with someone about the matter. When I asked if this was really how they treated customers who had been with the company for over fifteen years, or if they would prefer we see how long the wait was to speak with customer service representatives with their competitors, I was told I was more than welcome to go talk to AT&T, as Verizon has more business than they can handle, due to covid. I was so disappointed with the service today. I went in trying to see about upgrading my iPhone from a 7 to a newer model. When we first got there we checked in with a really nice guy (I can't remember his name) and waited for about 15 minutes or so. Then a guy named Ahmad came out to "help" us. I had a lot of questions because I wasn't sure what phone I really wanted they just have so many new iPhones now. Right from the moment I started talking to him about my concerns and my questions he seemed annoyed and burdened by me. He also kept checking his phone very often and I swear I caught him rolling his eyes a few times. It seemed like he wasn't even listening to me and just wanted to get me out as soon as possible. His whole vibe got me so frustrated that I ended up leaving the store empty handed. I've worked in retail/ customer service for years and I could not believe how Ahmad treated me. Really bad experience. I wish I would have complained to a manager or even asked for another person to help us because the rest of the workers actually seemed nice and like they would be helpful. read more
